  • Women Preachers - In Reply on 1 Timothy 2:4 - 5 years ago
    Book of Joel chapter 3

    28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit UPON all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

    29 And also UPON the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

    This is a prophesy of these days; preceding the Caught Up of the church meeting Jesus in the clouds.

    Th Lord will use women and handmaidens too.

    Let's not try to tie God's hands from fulfilling prophesy. I've watched her ministry, and men attend those meetings too.

    At the Bema Judgment Seat of Christ, HE will hand out the rewards or loss of rewards to the believers. It's between Him and all those that preached and taught in his Name. We do not get to vote on that. Ever.

    Anyone doing anything for Jesus: their works will pass through the fire of burning up wood, hay, and stubble.

    All this can be searched in this website's Search Box.

    And AMEN sister!

    In my experience angels can work invisible. I heard them seriously beat up a "spirit" that had tried to break my neck.

    We are not to worship Them. We give praise to God. I learned that they report directly to God. So no one can order the angels around. Ask and then Praise the Lord Mightily for your help.

    Some of the best scriptures for prayer are found searching the word, 'favor.'
  • Book of Acts in your Home - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 5 years ago
    In the first chapters of Book of Acts, the Christians we're having Church in each other's homes.

    Anyone can have a Bible Study in their home. You don't need a diploma. I've had many a bible study with a spaghetti dinner! Everyone gets blessed. We would discuss just like we do here. Pass around a sheet of paper so they can write what they'd like to study the next week.

    It does not hurt the children to see adults cracking open the Bible and be excited about reading the Bible. Or praying for each other's Needs.

    :). People will come if they know they're going to get spaghetti. I get happy just reading of that book of Acts Fellowshipping.

    I had young, old, male, female; someone brought a guitar some nights. Don't let others insecurities stop your joy in the Lord Jesus.

    Hi Claire, thank you for your reply - I see you're very busy answering others as well, so hopefully what you learn here & the fellowship we can enjoy together 'online' would give you some comfort & help.

    I've been following this thread & I understand your desire for correctness in all aspects of belief & practise of the Church. That is truly commendable as there are too many 'fence sitters' who are either unconcerned or uncommitted in what they believe or aspire to - a case of "I am born again, going to Heaven, so I'll just tag along with the Church crowd". This is easy to do so as to receive acceptance by others & to experience that 'comfortable' fit within the Church scene. But you're hungry for Truth from the Word & want to practise what the Bible says & not what you are told or from 'Christian' traditions.

    From my 41 years of walking with the Lord, I've yet to find a Fellowship that 'ticks all my boxes'. I don't believe it exists as there are too many variables in the Teachings & within the Body of Christ. Not that that should discourage you to give up altogether like those 'fence sitters', but I believe we can still maintain our 'strong & clear' beliefs, yet also enjoy worshipping together with the saints. However, if biblical teaching is defective, then that would be cause for concern & for my leaving.

    I too, don't observe any 'Christian festivals' & those whom I know, also know & accept my beliefs. I might still enjoy a lunch on Dec 25th with unsaved friends, but use the occasion to share something from the Word about Jesus. I don't think the Lord holds us as sinners for allowing certain things, rather that we use such occasions for His Glory. And then you have your Mum & daughter to consider during such occasions.

    I think that it's important for you to ultimately get into fellowship with other believers, even a home Church, as going it alone has many down-sides & we would hate to hear that you have weakened in your faith & love for the Lord.
  • MARRIAGE under attack - In Reply on Revelation 6:13 - 5 years ago
    God performed the 1st marriage on Adam and Eve. The two became ONE.

    Eve was formed by Adams rib. Taken out of his side to be equal. Not from the head or feet: to be over or under the other.

    Women's Lib was launched in the 60's. It has done more harm than good. It's 2020 and only now equal compensation for work...is being discussed. Millions of babies (future tax payers so you could draw social security) have been killed. The democrats have their eyes on it for their silly projects.

    Society has made a mockery over something God meant to be a blessing: marriage between a man and a woman.

    That is one reason Jesus will be returning very soon! All the signs are appearing. Matthew 24.

    1 Timothy Chapter 4

    1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

    2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

    3 FORBIDDING TO MARRY, [and commanding] to ABSTAIN from MEATS, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

    4 For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

    2 Timothy Chapter 3

    14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them];

    15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

    16 ALL scripture [is] given BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

    17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

    Wesley's Notes 2 Timothy 3:16

    All scripture is inspired of God - The Spirit of God not only once inspired those who wrote it, but continually inspires, supernaturally assists, those that read it with earnest prayer. Hence it is so profitable for doctrine, for instruction of the ignorant, for the reproof or conviction of them that are in error or sin, for the correction or amendment of whatever is amiss, and for instructing or training up the children of God in all righteousness.

  • Divorce - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 15 - 5 years ago
    I Corinthians 7 is the marriage chapter.

    Jesus replied to someone's question about divorce in Matthew 5.

    Matthew 5

    31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:

    32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

    You're not going to hell.

    Problems arise when people break a vow, remarry and try to blend families. It confuses children most often. They may have emotional closeness issues into adulthood. It is wisdom to remain single until the children have left home to start their lives.

    It is a good thing to go to your Pastor, or a pastor and discuss this divorce fully, and with prayer.

    Our society tends to jump over any Biblical input into marriage and remarriage. I think we can see by the content of some of Dr Phil's programs, the effects of marriages, divorce and lives lived without Biblical principles. You're doing a good thing by asking.

    Maureen, we can only share our thoughts as to why God does things in a certain way - unless of course, He clearly tells us. We understand that on account of His Holy & Wise Being, & out of love, to have those that would belong to Him & worship Him & for us to enjoy God & His creation, He created a man (after His Own Image): Genesis 1:26. I don't ever think that a woman was ever an after-thought of God. God, as an Omniscient (all-knowing) God, already had His Plans 'set in stone'. Creation of a woman I believe was already in that Plan - after all, companionship, procreation, identification, etc. were all necessary for both man & woman. I always see the Genesis account of creation as both man & woman created in complete equality & perfection & necessary for each other for a perfect representation of the Divine on Earth. Of course, we know the story of man & woman's failure to remain holy by sinning against their Creator.

    However, in God's wisdom, the order of creation also depicts the proper of order of human life on Earth. Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:3: "I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." This is not in any way depicting an inferior position of a woman (or, indeed of Christ to the Father) but an ordered 'hierarchy' & for submission & resorting to each other. As Paul also said, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28. And this clearly shows that women are equal in every way before God & in Christ, but for the sake of position & functions on Earth, the submission of woman to man AND the unequivocal love the man has for his wife: Colossians 3:18, 19, "Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them." should remain our united & joyful objective in marriage.

    Earl, Alex is fabricating Jesus as a multiplication of God(something that came later in time), rather than him always being God, as is the Holy Spirit. Multiply is not the word to describe Gods plan of salvation to believers. God sanctifies, believers are sanctified and called saints, subservient to Almighty God. Presuming diety is fatal. The numbers of people decending to hell far outnumber believers, and a multiplication plan favors their situation, rather that the few that find the door to heaven. I believe Alex has erred and misspoken about the nature of salvation, because he see's saints destroying Satan, and not God himself. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have no beginning nor end.

    Alice, we can have a Church building or a Church tent or even a Church meeting under the trees as in some poor village areas, but whenever the Bible speaks of the Church, the word used in Greek is 'ekklesia'. And this word can only mean 'an assembly, a congregation or a whole body of believers' - it's never connected to a building.

    Maybe you can explain it in this way to your spouse: we can say 'we are going to Church', i.e. to a building, but that building will contain the 'real' Church = the believers who meet there.
  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 1 - 5 years ago
    Jesus was indeed born in Bethlehem, but He was always an intrinsic part of the Eternal Godhead, along with God's Spirit. Jesus was not known as Jesus pre-incarnation - He was God's Word ( John 1:1-14 & 1 John 5:7) becoming a man for our sakes.

    Re: Adam's first sinless state. Again, allowing your comment: "Yes, excepting Adam and Eve were created sinless and I had to gain sinless life via repentance to be saved and then later to be sanctified to be rid of the inherited sin passed on from Adam's fallen state." I agree, the corruption that came to you (& me) because of sin has remained with us, but your claim to now be sinless (= no inherited sin) through sanctification, tells me that all corruption has now been removed from you, or else you can't be sinless. However, once corrupt, the flesh remains in that condition (death being its final proof) in spite of a miraculous spiritual renewal by God. If God through His Son's Sacrifice would also remove that corruption, then you would be like Adam pre-fall & never fall ill, be diseased or die - it's impossible, as it would destroy the whole meaning of being incorruptible. Both Adam & Jesus could not die naturally, whether by disease or old age. Adam eventually did die because he was a sinner with a corrupt nature - Jesus did die because He was sinless but chose to surrender His Life: John 10:18, "No man taketh it (My Life) from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father."

    The one who is sinless, has no corrupt nature & therefore can never die, as death is the final product of sin, which sin you aren't in possession of, as you believe.

    David, so again I re-read Romans chap 7 looking at it as you believe, in the 'historical present tense'. It was difficult to read in that tense, but I did so imagining the 'old' Saul speaking about his past experience of his spiritual battle in wanting strict obedience to the Law to give him life, instead it brought him death (v 10). To even go as far as verse 24, I can still consider his exclamation as one while still struggling to make the Law work for him. But then in verse 25 (not from chapter 8), I see the change in tense to 'present', when the 'new' Paul speaks with great relief from his struggle: "So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.": based on the fact that it was only Jesus Christ (Whom he had now & not in the past) Who could deliver him from the certain spiritual destruction ordained by the Law. The "So then" has to refer to him realizing that Jesus was his answer & salvation, something he could never say or do as a strict Jew under the Law.

  • The Five Fold Ministry in the Church - In Reply on 1 Thessalonians 1 - 5 years ago
    These scriptures define the system that Jesus set forth in Scripture. People call it the Five Fold Ministry. If you spread your fingers: the apostle is the thumb because it can touch on the other four fingers;

    the Pastor is the ring finger, because they daily care for Jesus's sheep.

    The prophet is the forefinger calling people to repent (points).

    Teacher is the center finger.

    Pastor, Keeper of the sheep.

    Last but not the least: Evangelist. The Gospel with shoes on.

    Jesus demonstrated the entire 5 fold ministry.

    Some people call themselves Apostles today. So as to not judge, you should spiritually discern the fruit of the Tree which is Jesus. Some people say the disciples were set apart as Apostles by having seen the risen Jesus; and that the modern Church does not have the office of Apostle in it.

    Ephesians 4:11

    And he (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

    1 Corinthians 12:28

    And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

    29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the GODHEAD is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

    30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

    THE GODHEAD SCRIPTURES

    Genesis 1:26, 3:22, 11:7

    1 John 5:7.

    John 10:30, I and My Father are one.

    My favorite is Malachi 3:16-17. God listens when we talk together about Him.

    Also, in these following scriptures , we clearly see the Godhead ( Acts 17:27-30) speaking to each other.

    NOTE: In the King James Bible, the words , TRINITY and TRIUNE, ARE NOT used. Someone who was unable to teach LET US as a lesson, used these other words to describe, 'Three.'

    If we used the Search Box provided on this website you would have seen it come up with No scriptures for Triune and Trinity. In the King James Bible the scriptures are what your search will fetch.

    If you examine your life, is there anything ungodly or displeasing to Him you're involved in? Maybe too much tv or ungodly tv programs?

    Seek God and ask Him to reveal His will and take up your cross daily following Him closely. God keep you free from going the way of the enemy and give you wisdom to do good and not evil! In the Name of Jesus I pray. AMEN

    Dear Krissy,

    Please know that Jesus is coming back so soon!!! Please read Mathew 24 ( whole chapter). Do not play "Russian Roulette" with your life.

    Also Romans 8 says 'if we do not have the indwelling Holy Spirit, we do not belong to Christ.' Walk in the fear of the Lord! Look at Hebrews 10 also. Do not trample underfoot the Spirit of Grace nor the precious Blood of Jesus! Ask God to help you walk in proper fear of Him. Not taking advantage of His goodness and deliver you from the enemy of your soul who only wants to see God's people fail and fall to the uttermost! God I pray to heal your backslidings and cleanse you from all sin... Do not give in to the devil. He has NOTHING to offer you but to kill, steal & destroy! Run from temptation - do not play games with God. May God keep you and turn you to Love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength in Jesus' Name. Amen

    God hates divorce , so it should be avoided as much as possible . But it's not a sin in some cases . But in some it may be .

    Remarriage is Adultery , unless the spouse dies , it's the law of marriage see Romans ch 6 .

    It could make a person single if the other person leaves . No remarriage . That's adultery.

    Today people divorce and remarry like buying a new home . It's wrong .

    Alex you make an outstanding point."Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:" We have religious leaders in America that Israel identifies with. It amazes me that church leaders identify with an Israel that still does not except Jesus as the Messiah. Let alone the son of God! Even Christianity!There is a movement to go to a monotheistic God. Teaching that God can exist without the Christ, therefore without the h.g.. You cannot be born again without excepting the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. If baptism were not necessary, Christ would have not done it. There is an unspoken evil doctrine, if you worship the Father , you don't need the Son. This doctrine comes strait from hell itself. This in essence, deletes the new testament in His blood! The new covenant is become the promise of a savior who has not yet come. Last days many shall be deceived! This new doctrine is designed to bring peace! A belief that as long as I believe in a god I will be excepted before God. It doesn't matter who god is, as long as I'm good I will be excepted by God!
