For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

18The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

20The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

21My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

12Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

65And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

4That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

5For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

10And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

11But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

12Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

13For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:

2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

9Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?

10Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

11Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness.

12If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?

13And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18He that believeth on him is not condemned:

And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

30For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.

31The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

32The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

33No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.

34The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

35Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

36If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.

This has always been an intriguing portion of Scripture & you may get other views. But I consider Gen 4:2-7 & Heb 11:4 together. Both Cain & Abel brought their sacrifices to the Lord as an offering (maybe a freewill or thanksgiving offering). But the Lord only had "respect unto Abel & his offering'.

I detect that it was both the type of offering & the type of heart of the giver that comes to question. They were still largely vegetarians in those days, I would think, however, the killing of animals for their skins as garments, would have been necessary. It is also plausible that prior to using the skins, that Abel & maybe their parents, also offered up a 'blood' offering to the Lord, maybe for sin (an instruction from God prior to the giving of the Law?) or as thanksgiving.

Hebrews 11:4: "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh." Here we read that Abel made it to the Hall of Faith Heroes by reason of 'faith' unlike Cain. So here too, I see that a heart preparedness of Abel with his 'excellent' (acceptable) sacrifice of the "firstlings of his flock & of the fat thereof" engendered him & his sacrifice acceptable to the Lord. Whereas Cain came not in full measure of faith & thankfulness, & maybe for necessity's sake & an impure heart.

I see a correlation to us, as we meet around the Lord's Table & as the Scripture asks us to "examine ourselves" first before coming & partaking. Maybe, Cain needed to do some serious introspection & considering his offering before approaching the Lord. But these are simply my thoughts for your consideration that I wouldn't compel upon you or anyone, as Scripture doesn't clearly give us all the details.

Karen, I don't read or refer to Ecclesiasticus (Ben Sira), however, there is similar verse in Isaiah 45:7: "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

To read that the LORD makes peace and creates evil can be disturbing to us. I checked on the Hebrew word for Evil as written in this verse: it is 'ra:'. And this speaks not of sin as we understand sin, but of 'adversity or calamity', as when 'evil (a calamity, suffering) may come upon us. So does God even do evil or want to do this to us? Well, He does, in a sense. In this context, it shows that when there is absence of Peace, whether in a person's heart or in worldly affairs, then there must be adversity. A little like Truth & Lies (they are 'absolutes'): if the Truth is not spoken, then the words must be a lie - and there cannot be a mix of Truth & Lies - then it's no longer Truth. So to, the presence of Peace cancels out 'evil'. So the opposite is true: if there is adversity, then no peace.

So we can't understand this verse as God making it a point to create adversity (evil) for us, rather, that in the absence of His Peace, He permits adversity to be present. It seems to be our choice: if His Peace reigns in us, then no spiritual or emotional calamity will be ours. If we sin, if we're disobedient to His Spirit, then the result is turmoil within.

Matthew 13:8 - But other fell into good ground and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Why this fruit brought forth stated in descending order. To me it is effectiveness gospel in times. At the time of our Lord gospel was widely accepted. Then in tribulations it becomes sixtyfold and at present it is only thirtyfold only. The decrease in faith gradually evolved in church. Today preachers are enthusiastic, yet their fruitfullness is very low.Our Lord even asked in Luke 18:8- Nevertheless when the son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?. We are now sure that our Lord coming very soon. And also remember that "So shall my word goeth forth out of my mouth : it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it. Isaiah 55:11.In the present world only thirty percent believes in our Lord Jesus Christ.

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. I can't understand why God had no respect to Cains offering. He was the first to offer something. Was it rotten? He didn't have to kill a poor innocent animal. Being raised on a Farm myself, we ate eggs from chic kens and mick from our cow. Well we did eat chickens but we would never eat our cow.

You can actually go on YouTube and see people having RFID microchips put in their hand. It links to a honking big computer and the person doesn't have to use cash or coin. They just wave their hand at the chip reader.

    The technology exists already.

As people have discovered, scar tissue forms over the microchip. Slicing that out will hurt! :(

It's not going to be simple tattoos.

How indeed do you think skin grafts of someone else's microchip can go offline from the computer and then be reconnected without showing up on a log or printout?

If you know, write me back.

PS. RFID implants were in the original Obamacare Package. Google it. It was taken out. People still get the implants so their bloodsugar can be monitored REMOTELY. Also find your dog or cat. Sounds like GPS Location technology, huh?

"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:

In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.

But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

    Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created Him:

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

    Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness."

  • Adam - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 5 years ago
    Hi William,

I'm sure you're aware that many Christians would disagree with your saying that 'you cannot' go to hell. On the contrary, Jesus spent quite a bit of time in parables and teaching his followers (Christians) warning them against sinning. So, I'm not sure how you come to the conclusion that this young person is somehow immune from going to hell? It literally says in the Bible to fear the Lord. Jesus said that himself. Matthew 10:28

Satan probably doesn't want people to fear Him though, he loves deceiving people into thinking they can sin all they want with zero consequence. The Bible already clearly says most people will go to hell- narrow is the way. And even not all Christians will get in either. Matthew 7:23. Some people should actually be afraid. But if we actually genuinely follow Jesus then we can put our faith and trust in Him and God's grace. Not all 'Christians' follow Jesus or try to avoid sin is the problem. It's especially concerning that people don't think they can commit blasphemy. It says clear as day that people who do this WILL NOT go to heaven. People have freewill and you don't know what they'll choose in the future. Even angels in heaven had freewill to sin and they did- hence satan and demons. God bless.

    Revelation 14:9

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his MARK in his FOREHEAD OR IN HIS HAND.

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the WRATH OF GOD, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb [JESUS].

11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the MARK of his name. [666]

    Wesley's Notes for Revelation 14:10

14:10 He shall drink - With Babylon, # Rev 16:19|. And shall be tormented - With the beast, # Rev 20:10|. In all the scripture there is not another so terrible threatening as this. And God by this greater fear arms his servants against the fear of the beast. The wrath of God, which is poured unmixed without any mixture of mercy; without hope. Into the cup of his indignation - And is no real anger implied in all this? Anger that these refused to receive Jesus as Lord.

Revelation 14:14 [Moment of the Rapture]

And I looked, and BEHOLD A WHITE CLOUD, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man [JESUS], having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

    Commentary:

People's Bible Notes for Revelation 14:14

Upon the cloud [one] sat like the Son of Man. Jesus has himself said that the Son of man shall be seen coming upon the clouds of heaven. Here John sees the Son of Man sitting upon a white cloud. The Savior said that his coming shall be with great power and glory ( Mt 24:30). John now sees upon the head of the Son of man a golden crown. The Savior said that he will send his angels to gather the elect ( Mt 24:31). John hears an angel bid him who sat upon the cloud, to reap the earth, for its harvest was ripe.

Mishael =This is why we pray to the LORD of the Harvest.
