  • The Great Falling Away Prophesy on Luke 12:10 - 5 years ago
The sad truth is that the seed of the gospel falls on different kinds of ground: rocky, shallow, sunlight dries up new growth.

People are going to FALL AWAY. It is a prophesy. We ought to pray for those people: ask God to send angels to pull them out of the ditch and drag them back to Church.

Our society does nothing to undergird belief in anything other than money, self indulgence and self promotion. They will FALL AWAY.

    1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Hebrews 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost...

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Hebrews 3:12-19 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

Revelation 2:4-5 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

2 Peter 2:20-22 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Matthew 24:10-13 - And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.....

Revelation 3:11 - Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

James 1:12 - Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

    Pray for them! Mishael

On 'BORN OF GOD' - 'BORN AGAIN

Most people on this website claim to be so-called Christians, but in truth are they followers of Jesus Christ or do they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9)?. Most of them also claim to be so-called 'Born Again', which means 'Born of God', but are they, or is it a form of self-transformation ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15), while in truth they are wearing the wrong garment ( Psalm 6:8; Matthew 7:20-23; 9:16; 22:2-14; Mark 2:21; Luke 5:36)?

For answers to the above questions we invite you to peruse the earlier Comment below.

Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).

    On MATTHEW 18:3

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

God is the judge over His Church and teaches us that you must be 'Born Again'. No believer and follower of the true Christ has ever made a claim that they are 'Born Again'. That is judging oneself and falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it.

Frankye, Stanjett is correct. The Wilderness of Sin is one of six wildernesses through which the Israelites travelled on their way to Canaan after leaving the bondage in Egypt/Pharaoh. The wildernesses include Shur, Etham, Sin, Sinai, Paran, and Zin. The Wilderness of Sin is sometimes confused with the Wilderness of Zin, a region on the northwestern side of the Sinai Peninsula. The Israelites traversed the Wilderness of Sin at the beginning of the Exodus, arriving at the Wilderness of Sin "on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt" ( Exodus 16:1).

Hi Joshua. Just to briefly chime in here to lend full agreement & support to what you have declared as this is how I understand the believers' stand before God. The Lord will not draw a (predestined) seeking soul, in his conviction of sin upon hearing the Gospel, his cry out for forgiveness & then receiving confirmation of that redemption with joy, peace & the indwelling of His Spirit, if he then at some future date, decides to reject the Lord & turn back to his old ways. God makes no mistakes in His Call & Confirmation.

If a 'Christian' turns back, it can never be our determination of what sort of experience & spiritual work has been done in that life. God only knows every heart & our 'judgement' can only be based on what our eyes perceive: & that's not a good basis at all. That is why at one's water baptism, one can only be baptized based on the testimony of one's faith, not on the knowledge of the person's heart, mind or his present/future walk with the Lord. If a believer sins or even backslides, the matter is between him & God: for the Spirit's Work in Him to draw him back to spiritual health. We might see a 'Christian' lost into the world, but as said earlier, our perception is not with God's Knowledge; that same 'Christian' may one day return to full faith in a special abundant way.

And to add one more thing: "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved." ( Matthew 10:22, 24:13). This is the ultimate test isn't it, as has been proven over the centuries when godly folk, who may not readily agree with our understanding of the doctrines & lessons we discuss here, but who for their love for God through Christ & with a solid unshakeable faith, have gone to their deaths at the stake or the sword. Does it take such an event to convince us of their salvation? Maybe so. Is it even important or right that we do so, as each soul stands or falls depending on what has or has not transpired between him and God?

Judges Chapter 16 28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than [they] which he slew in his life.

If you faithfully read God's Word, pause and think upon what you've read; and then ask the Holy Spirit to teach the meaning to you: He will respond to your prayer.

Be prepared to write down what He says. You're going to want to search the scriptures again.

This kind of interaction every day builds your faith. It is the Sword of the Spirit.

When Ezekiel was prophesying to the bones, and they began to rattle: he was scared. He did what God said and the bones stood up. A great and mighty army.

Here's this little prophet of God seeing this awesome sight! He was changed by obedience; trust in Almighty God.

Sometimes I ask myself if my faith is a bone on the ground, or is it standing up in full armor, ready to do what God is saying to do.

And, I am prone to ask God things like: "what am I doing today?" How can I be of service?" Then we wait on His Word to us.

Some of us know what to be doing. We've seen scriptures that show us what to be doing. Our lives are about obedience to the known will of God, in this Book we carry around.

It's not for arguing. It's for launching cruise missiles of light and prayer against the kingdom of darkness that is enveloping this planet.

Man cannot save this earth. It's hemorrhaging on what's been done to it, in darkness. Satan desires to hurt everything that God has made, including the people on earth. And he knows his time is short: he can read scripture too. He just thinks he can win anyway.

Praise to our Savior who will fight the final battle and defeat Satan for eternity.

Have confidence and deep admiration in our Savior. The Holy Spirit desires to reveal more of Jesus to us. We have to study. We have to sit quietly in His presence and pray and wait for the Rhema of Gods Word.

    Mishael

Jesus is real. I saw Him. Believe in Him.

Have no doubts. Have confidence & Faith.

Male or female: Do what is in your heart.

The holy spirit can perform many missions in the preaching and teaching of Christs kingdom. When we give our self solely to him (the holy spirit), He will say and do what we could never imagine! It is impossible to serve in His kingdom without serving all three! The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit. Thank you for response!

The law and gospel are what the church are not teaching. We cannot fulfill the law nor even begin to comprehend what it means to keep it . In your reply, you focus mostly on the law and sin that separates us from God the Father. No where did you mention Jesus Christ, or the love He has for all mankind, even those that believe on His name. I hope that even tho, you don't mention his name, this is what you want us to assume.Right? This same preaching is what is prevalent in the church today! Law with no gospel. The law is "a schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ". "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal". As a matter of fact, correct me if I'm wrong, every bible verse you quoted does not mention the Lord Jesus Christ. The world wants nothing more than to take Christ out of the word of God. Even if it means using His own words to do it. This you have accomplished, while making me believe that I am justified before God the Father, without the deeds of our Lord Jesus Christ. Which is easier to say, thy sins be forgiven thee, or take up thy bed and walk?

Hello, I agree with everything you typed except your paragraph starting with "If we continue our old practice..." Your scripture references don't relate to the claim that Christians are suddenly never Christians- almost like pretending to erase history. Who are you to say a person isn't a Christian if they're following Christ and who are you to say they don't have freewill to turn and make bad choices later on in life. What's your criteria on what a Christian is? Judas betrayed Jesus and is probably in hell. Peter denied Jesus and he was a devout Christ-follower (a Christian), so is your belief that Peter was never a Christian, even though he literally was a Christ follower? There's an ex-Christian forum online that has 71,000+ members. Where they 'never' Christians, but they were and maybe they will be again. I know you didn't answer the previous questions and that's your own choice to not not consider another point of view or not. God bless.

    Hello Adam,

Yes, I am a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The standard I only desire to use is God's Word, and this is the only standard anyone can use regarding the truth( John 17:17).

Whether we, still imperfect in our sinful flesh, can "know" if we are saved or not is a good question. God tells us to examine ourselves, to see if we are in the faith( 2 Cor. 13:5). We examine if we are walking in agreement with God.

The whole of God's Word shows us that once we are born again, we become a new creature( 2 Corinthians 5:17). We are to be dead to our old ways. Dead to the ways of the world, because the world is wicked( 1 John 5:19). We are not to continue practicing sin( Titus 2:12, James 1:27).

We will still sin because we are still imperfect. ( Romans 7:23-24, Philippians 3:12, Ephesians 4:13). The difference is we do not continue PRACTICING sin, or WILLFULLY sinning. God does not judge by appearance, but by the TRUE state of our HEARTS( Luke 16:15, John 7:24).

If we continue our old practice - our dead in our sins way of living AFTER we become saved, we were never saved/born again to begin with( Hebrews 10:26, Hebrews 10:38-39, 1 John 2:15, 2 Peter 2:20-22).

We are still in the world but we are not of the world( John 17:16, Romans 12:2). On the contrary, we are tasked by the Lord to be examples & witnesses to the world( Philippians 2:15, Matthew 5:14, Romans 10:9-11, 13-15, 2 Corinthians 4:13).

This, I believe, is the "key" to knowing whether or not we are truly saved. If we truly believe.

Earl, thanks for the reply. It appears you avoided the questions being asked and instead used a straw man fallacy. I think the Bible does not support the information you have provided here and I shared ample scriptures supporting the opposite view. The fact is it's easy to become a Christian, but continuing to follow Christ for the duration of ones life is another matter. There are many documented cases of real Christians choosing to leave the faith. The ex-Christian forum on Reddit has 71,000+ members. People claiming they weren't Christians in the first place might be a cop out to explain the reality they don't want to face- that Christians can indeed lose their salvation. Jesus preached to fear the Lord and put effort and strive to avoid sin. 'go and sin no more'- if people were incapable of sinning Jesus wouldn't have kept saying that to his followers over and over and kept warning them through parables over and over. So, I believe the scripture shows this is a big deception to believe that Christians can't sin. This is surely from satan, because he loves to get Christians to believe it's ok to sin, and they sure do. They do regularly, even intentionally, because they believed the lie that they can live in the world and follow the world instead of following Jesus with no consequences. One of us is wrong. I don't believe God has stripped anyone of their freewill when they follow Him. If this were true then it would have been impossible for an angel in heaven like satan to rebel and be cast out. This is important enough to pray and ask God what the real truth is. Salvation is very important. Jesus didn't die so people can abuse his grace and slap Him in the face while they follow the world in sin. Unfortuantely, some luke warm Christians will go to hell- God is the judge. Matthew 7:14. Grace covers Christians who actively follow Christ, not those who follow evil. And all, incuding Christians, have the ability to do evil. I know you disagree and think this is a lie, but this is all comes direct from the Bible. May God bless you.

  • Earl Bowman - In Reply on Matthew 26 - 5 years ago
Adam, I do not think you understand what it means to be born again. How did Christ not sin. He was born of God and the Father keep him from sinning. The Holy Ghost came upon Mary (woman) and she conceived and birthed a child (Christ, the first born Son). The Holy Ghost comes upon us (we are impregnated) and after gestation (spending hours in Gods word and being graced with the Holy Spirit) you (woman, Revelation 12:1) give birth to a child (us, the first fruit of Christ). The same Holy Ghost that Fathered Christ, Fathers you, the same God that kept Christ from sinning keeps you from sinning. I Timothy 2:14-15 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman (symbolic of us) being deceived was in the transgression. (vs) 15 Notwithstanding she (woman, us, the woman in Revelation 12:1) shall be saved in childbearing (new child of the Holy Ghost), if they (women,us) continue in the faith (in Christ) and charity (in Christ) and in Holiness (in Christ) with sobriety (in Christ).

Thank you again Bro. Dan for your comments. And I agree that this discussion is not only beneficial to us & others but also very important in how we see ourselves before God & how God looks at us in Christ. In my understanding of the Scriptures, the Law & the Grace of God through His Son are clearly opposed to each other: "for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain." Gal 2:21. That is, the given Law of old could never make a person righteous before God, thus any obedience to it to justify our standing or even to 'please' God in our efforts or satisfy our consciences, will always fail.

Rather than rehash earlier presentations of my understanding, if I might direct you to a Site that I feel would more fully explain what I'm trying to write here in such a small space. As well, I would hope that the others (including Richard, Dibro & We don't need the 10 Commandments) who kindly offered their views would also take time to go through it. I thank them also for submitting their thoughts on this matter & apologize for not replying to each one. I know it's better etiquette to respond from one's heart & to each one who has taken the trouble to write, but I feel this Site will explain the matter more fully & make this already long thread on KJBO not more cumbersome.
