By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week ( Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Hi Gaynell. I'm not sure which book of the Bible you are thinking of, or are there many books? The only way, is to read the chapter for yourself slowly and then write down what point(s) that comes to you strongly.

For example: In the Gospel of John chapter 1, as you read the chapter, you will note Jesus, God's Word, became man; John the Baptist proclaimed Jesus' arrival; and some men who followed Jesus. To simplify that further, you could remember the chapter as: Jesus, His disciples and John the Baptist.

So, you can do the same as you read each chapter: note down what you find are the main point(s) there. As far as memorising all of what you record, that would be difficult unless you have a very strong memory ability. I would suggest find a special verse & memorise it & over time, God's Spirit will help you to add to those verses you commit to memory.

Chris, what you are describing as signs of the end times are things that have been going on since modern humans began to populate the earth and form societies, tribes, nations, political factions, religions, cults, all through the biblical times and up to the present day people have predicted that the end times are upon us. Humans can be terrible, wonderful and all things in between. What we can do is try to build better, fairer societies and treat others with kindness and consideration and respect and not wait for a hidden and unknowable deity to come to earth and sort the wheat from the chaff.

Joshua had been faithful serving God under Moses, and God foreknew and planned for him to be a model / type / picture of the future Christ; in fact his name means salvation. He led Israel through the conquest of promised land, which was a picture of the life of a believer after salvation.

This is the picture of today & it doesn't take a special prophetical utterance to say that the heart of man will grow worse & worse and not better. Society may improve one's standard of living & give them the benefit of their knowledge & expertise in many fields, but it cannot improve the condition of man's heart & give him knowledge & a longing for an eternal existence. Life on Earth is temporal - life after death is eternal. If we choose to reject God's Word to us now & His offer of salvation, we have to resort to our only other option: belief in what we are told to accept as truth & the imaginations of our own minds - and these sources have always proven to be unreliable & deficient.

I appreciate your further comments ElectricWarrior. Just as the scientists, mathematicians, et al, in all their studies & with their highly developed faculties can come to such conclusions as to the origin & age of the worlds, the fact remains that both they & us have to admit that our limited mental capacities & knowledge of matters outside our scope, must cause us to conclude that there has to be reasonable doubt to our 'facts' & assumptions. It is not enough to say, "Since there cannot be such a thing as a god, the only possible cause for the 'appearance' of the worlds was from a massive, catastrophic explosion in space". This may sound like a reasonable deduction but it only serves as just another theory without the necessity of a superior being Who was its cause & Who brought the worlds into their positions & orbits.

I agree, that in like manner, creationists would also need to make their claims real by way of proof, & even after pointing out the intricacies & structures of both living & non-living creations to non-creationists as proof, in reality even they cannot prove that a being made all this happen: we weren't there at the time just as our scientists weren't - both have to declare that their convictions are a ultimately a result of faith - whether faith in what the Bible, God's Word to man declares, or faith in man's observations, calculations & resulting assumptions. Unfortunately, most of our education systems have decided on the latter option, though for now appearing to be a sensible scientific approach to our origins, have & will continue to prove the moral & spiritual decay of many. In fact, if I were to prove a present truth from a previous declaration that our present 'wise' men should take to heart, is found in the Bible. Taking portions from 1 Timothy chapter 3 (written in AD 63):

i have always loved god but kept putting off serving him. i was raised with a christian mother all my life so i know where she went she died her home in heaven so i want to be with my family up there. i am 70 years old and my time is now to serve god. amen

If we just voted according to Performance of their jobs (in Congress), that would be meaningful.

We've had 4 years of lawsuits, extended vacations, few meaningful bills passed. Seems like the bills have attachments that demand abortion rights.

They're killing off the next generation of taxpayers that would have undergirded things we depend on, to be there for us when we really need it.

College is hugely expensive because millions of "classmates," were killed in the womb.

We would've had more people to fund emergency money when the stock market flatlines and jobs go away.

Money that could help with food and housing for laid off people will go away so all the statues and monuments can be relocated.

Agendas have replaced priorities.

In the Gospels, read slowly and you will see that Jesus taught on the sabbath; healed the sick, infirmed , demon possessed/ oppressed, cleansed lepers.

Church can be an actual Church, radio ministry, tv ministry, Youtube ministry, etc.

Shut in seniors are not condemned for not attending a church and giving their tithe there. You tithe to the ministry that feeds your soul & spirit, that prays for you corporately, calls you at home. Some churches even have home visitation ministry!

I think these matters are going to be reviewed at the Bema Seat (Judgment) of Jesus Christ. Rewards will be given and rewards will be lost, to BELIEVERS.

His opponents are now even mocking the peace the President is helping to bring to the Middle East! Nancy Pelosi is now saying that the peace agreements are merely "distractions" by the President! It's interesting how you put your faith into flawed humans who have been wrong and lied countless times throughout history. Scientists continue to contradict themselves and reverse their beliefs again and again. Remember when we were 'running out of trees' and the world would end? Remember the growing ozone hole and we were all going to die? Remember when the end of the world was predicted from rising seas and it didn't happen? Remember the Alaska oil spill that was to devastate everything permanently, but instead its totally replinished with abundant wildlife? Remember the advice of eating 3 times a day with a big breakfast and lots of grains and carbs to be 'healthy'? 'Experts' can't even agree on the current virus: they said masks don't work, then they do work, then they sort of work, then they say 198k deaths in the US, but the CDC quietly admitted only 7% of that number actually died from coronavirus as sole cause, but the media and loud people ignore it and keep shouting the bigger number. This is who you put your faith in?

And you believe that your body that has more intelligence and features as a Tesla is just a random explosion from nothing which created something which reproduced with itself then magically made another gender, then magically things to eat 'evolved' at precisely the same time and air and laws of physics invented itself for no reason. Then your body magically had the ability to measure and equalize pH balance, heating/cooling, chemical compound processing, food digestion and utilization, and you have unique fingerprints, and a unique programming code language to describe each part of your body and it will magically heal itself anytime you get cut or injured. And you have hi-res video, audio, surround sound, prewired signals to/from your brain and all body parts. You have features you don't even realize that would be impossible to develop through natural selection, like anti-drowning features.

This is a quick summary for New Testament Christians who want clarifications of the "Lord's Day" (Sunday) vs the Old Testament "Sabbath" (Saturday).

The Sabbath was a ceremonial day given to Old Testament Jews to keep. New Testament Christians (Jews and Gentiles) do not follow the old carnal, beggarly, religion of the Jews because the fulfillment of those things are in Christ. This is the same reason Christians do not worship in a Temple made with hands but instead worship the Lord in their hearts. ( Rom 14:1-23; 2 Cor 3:6-18; Gal 4:1-31; Col 2:14-17).

The answer to this question (and all others) are in the KJV Bible. There is a false religion that promotes Sabbath Worship. They state that Sunday Worship is "The Mark of the Beast", but they do not know their Bible and reject what the New Testament states about the Sabbath and about the Lord's Day. Try my words and all others with God's Word. ( Rom 3:4)

Hebrews is a book of the Bible that exalts Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of the Old Testament legal systems. Jesus also teaches us throughout the Gospels that the thousands of rules in the Old Testament are kept with two primary Laws which are basically: "Love God" and "Love Your Neighbor" ( Mark 12:30-36). Keeping these two rules in Christ fulfill the whole law. Further detail of how to do this is throughout Scripture, but no man can keep these laws perfectly, that's why we need Christ.

Paul (the Apostle to the Gentiles), taught us to come together regularly and to keep the "Lord's Day" (the day Christ arose from the dead). This is the first day of the week. Christians have met throughout the New Testament and throughout History on the first day of the week, which is Sunday. Our Sabbath/Rest is in Christ, He has fulfilled the Old Testament laws which we and no other man can. (Heb; Acts 20:7; I Cor 16:1-2; Rev 1:10)

Christians come together on Sunday to keep the New Testament Doctrine not to keep the Old Testament Ceremonial Religion given to the Jews.

The best reason to worship on Sunday is to celebrate Jesus rising from the dead on the first day of the week ( Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20).

It is not a requirement to honor a particular time of worship because Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ( Matthew 18:20).

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Galatians 5 declares our liberty in Christ, for if we are justified by law we are fallen from grace. Ironically, the Pharisees worked so hard to maintain the Sabbath that it became oppressive. Many still work to establish their own righteousness, not submitting to the righteousness of God (only found in Christ Jesus) Romans 10.

Hebrews 4 is an excellent lesson on rest for today.

Obviously, noone can "hand you" proof of the existence of God beyond the Bible which you view as a fairy tale. Regardless of what one states you will respond with a question or theory which you find personally acceptable and/or plausible based upon your individual belief.

Also, you can not disprove the existence of God to anyone in this forum regardless of how much of the "knowledge of man" and theory that you state.

I would normally assume someone to be unsure of their personal belief and searching in an exploratory state for definitive proof. In your case we clearly see.. this is not the case.

I have a question. I am doing my best to learn more about the sabbath day and what we are to do and not do on that day. In the bible it says the 7th day (Saturday) is the Sabbath. So My question is this, Why do most of the world use Sunday, the first day of the week for the Sabbath? I need help with this one, because I truly want to keep the commandments of the Lord. Can someone please explain?

Why would you desire to be under bondage to the curse of the law when Jesus Christ has redeemed us from said curse? (Galatians chapter 3).

Just being led here, to this site, where we can post freely, is truly a Blessing. It is a gift to have others to converse about the Lord with as we are a minority in the population.
