I have just kind of did a quick survey on my own and am wondering if this site needs some help from us. They do not ask or make you feel like you should but you can help some way if you want to. I just wondered what all of you all thought? I think it is one of the best I have ever seen. If you are trying to find out something about the Bible, God or Jesus you can find it here and you can pray and lots of people will here your prayer. Just like the verses where you can find them almost any kind of way you want to. I pray for this site that is holds together and I really would like to know from someone who knows. What do you all think? I have never asked anyone this question on here ever. I love this site, it just covers it all. What are the keys Jesus speaks of?I believe that the keys are the liberty we have in Christ to lock and unlock doors of our understanding and knowledge of the kingdom of God found in the revelation of the holy spirit, revealed to us by faith found in Christ!You are interpreting this from a carnal point of view. The power in the keys come only from Christ himself, and those he chooses to give them too. Peter's revelation is a clear confession of Christ. Confession is the power you are so afraid of. It is His witness that will build the church,His confession is the rock,it will have doors and keys to lock and unlock. I do hope you will receive Christ! If you receive him today you may see how the keys work! Walk through one of those doors and begin to understand what the kingdom of god is.

Full Disclosure: I am not a Christian. But in a recent reading of Mark 8:11 - 9:1, I noticed that they had very similar content - the same story. What stood out was Matthew 16:9, absent in Mark.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven:

Which I interpret as conferring on Peter the authority that Jesus holds - the power of God. I find this troubling.

Crucifixion was a common Roman means of torture/death at this time. Notice it was used on the two robbers flanking Jesus.

Paul was actually born Jewish, and was a Pharisee. He became a Roman citizen later and was involved in persecuting the early Church of Jesus's planting. Before he was confronted by Jesus on the Damascus Road, he ordered Stephen the evangelist, stoned to death.

He had a radical conversion; testimony. He went right into evangelizing. Then he got the call by Jesus to evangelize the new elect of God; the Gentiles. It's in Romans if you want to verify.

The Election will return to the Jews as soon as the Times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. Only God, the Father, knows when that will be.

Thank you for your response to my post. I don't just believe that Jesus laid down his life, I KNOW that he did. He did that for all of His creation, so whether you're black, white, Jew, Gentile rich or poor, on and on, the point I'm making is Jesus Christ shed his blood, died, was buried and rose from the dead according to the scripture for whosoever will. John 3:16. I identify with that as I am a whosoever.

Yes, it is clear that jesus Christ was hebrew and as bible believing Christians we have a rich heritage from that lineage, one for example is the passover. The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world who shed his blood for a lowly sinner as I. It is only by His Grace that I am saved and a child of the King! Jesus is all in all, The Savior, Prophet, Priest and King, Lord of all eternity, and that at the NAME of Jesus EVERY tongue will confess and EVERY knee will bow that He is Lord to the Glory of the Father. There is no other name given under heaven whereby we must be saved! Acts 4:12.

What will doing your little exercise prove to you? For me this would just be an exercise in futility, semantic word games with my soul. No thanks I don't need to prove anything.

Dear fellow traveller, sometimes it is good to remember that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for all who believe. It does not matter at all what you believe in this world as true or false, because the world is not part of the Kingdom of Christ. Seek and you shall find, knock and His door will open. In the world it is getting more and more difficult to complete another day without fear gnawing at one's heart. Freedom from fear is faith and true repentance in Jesus Christ (pour out your unrighteousness before Jesus Christ and turn away from sin and become a new creature in Him). Do not be dismayed by those who may claim the same faith and yet walk without peace and love and most importantly forgiveness and reconciliation in our Lord and Master Jesus Christ. There will be no excuse before the Lord not to have personally come to Him and have let Him (Jesus) wash away your sins by His finished work at Calvary. His blood and water spilt there that fell back to the dust of the earth gave us a second chance to inherit an eternal life in peace and praise, if only we would believe unto Salvation. We cannot do this work ourselves and we must recognize that our very selves, our very hearts and minds are polluted and need the Lord's gift of the Holy Spirit to lead and guide His people, His Holy people, His eternal Tribe to the Last day. In the Last day, he will come for the believer, he will lift the believer up and away from the earth they live in and on. He will change the believer to an eternal state with a Holy eternal Body. Likewise on this same last day the earth and firmament will also be change to a state of eternal darkness and despair. The sinners left will cry out for judgement and try to confess their sin but there will only be despair. They, the devil, Satan and the un-holy fallen angels will along with the burning earth and firmament will enter into the eternal fallen state in eternal darkness in the lake of fire.

This day will come like a thief in the night.

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and is not of any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20).

Willie, The Law as referenced by Jesus ...is God's Law. It is the 10 commandments. Jesus did not come to change this law.

As believers, it's our personal responsibility to exemplify Christ in the culture by our life, word, resources, and by engaging in the political process as fully as the government allows. In reality, what we really want is for someone else to accomplish what God says is our job.

You foul demons of infirmity, fear, torments to leave her body NOW in Jesus name. We give no place to the devil, and this body belongs to Jesus Christ. You must flee. We bind your works and cast you into outer darkness! We loose healing from heaven to flood her body now, in the name of Jesus, who sits at the right hand of God. We ask that you send an angel to guard the 4 corners of this house as she recovers.

And we give thanks and praise to the Name of Jesus who took unto Himself the sins of all the world, so that we may be healed.

I noticed the same logical fallacy is used rationalize your view of Jesus being the wrong name despite the fallacy already being exposed. Did you read what I wrote? If so, I wonder what part of it you don't understand or disagree with?

Hi Rob, thanks for your enquiry about how some biblical accounts had found parallels in other ancient cultures/religions. Mishael gives me more credit than I deserve & though humbled by his high regard of my 'knowledge', in reality my abilities are quite minuscule in comparison to the many learned folk out there & who have published well researched material.

With that in mind, I am totally ignorant of secular/pagan ancient writings or the Rosetta stone. Apart from what one gleans from the Web, I'm unable to add further information to that. However, with what I have read, I wouldn't be overly surprised that there may be some similarities between biblical & other writings. Yet if one would examine the others' accounts, one would find that the similarities are actually not so similar anyway. As well, in some cases, as in some biblical accounts (e.g. the Flood), these could have been transmitted from the survivors of the flood to others & over generations, as the tribes on the Earth multiplied & became more diverse in culture & religion, the account could have also adopted various forms & imagery giving it some authenticity, yet found altered in content because of such transmission.

So one could assume the same with Creation, the Virgin birth, a God meting out judgement, etc: similarities, but sufficiently dissimilar to warrant a more careful examination, to either prove a connection or not. Why do such parallels occur? I suppose when we deal with the unknown, the spiritual, the belief in a superior being, there must also be some ideas that intersect or coincide with each other. These then appear to us laymen, as perplexing & worthy of further thought or examination. And yet, if we then read the Bible with that thought in mind, we will miss the beautiful consistent thread that runs right through Scripture, showing us the truth & faithfulness of God's Word to us. Other religions showing these 'similarities' would eventually fail in this respect or become divergent.

You're going to have to learn how to fight what got you where you are. You must be born again! John 3. Receive the Holy Spirit.

Read Ephesians 6. Demons are invisible. But we can see their fruit when they are around. For you it is addictions and unable to stop it from destroying your life. It's name is bondage.

SPIRIT OF BONDAGE. Slavery,

Fears, ADDICTION, bondage to sin, compulsive sin, fear of death, servant of corruption, captivity to Satan

Loose the Spirit of Adoption on him.

Romans 8:15; Romans 6:16; Hebrew 2:14,15; II peter 2:19,26; Acts 8:23

Read these scriptures so you will understand that Satan is your problem. The demon of bondage is going to fight back, but you must rely on and plead the Holy Blood of Jesus of Nazareth over you and your family. Don't give up.

Cast the demons into outer darkness and dry places.
