I do find your posts interesting and well thought through. Thanks
The topics of OSAS and the RAPTURE are two topics that get many responses and that is good. I am one who have not been convinced by the Scriptures dispensationalists give for the rapture. Since I can find no Scripture stating it will occur or that it was a false teaching at the time of the NT writers, then there would be no Scriptures also that openly refute it. I just go by what Jesus said in Matt. 24 and the other gospels that present the Olivet discourse. He does not speak of coming twice, oncer for the rapture and again at the end. He speaks of coming at the end. So I believe His Second Coming is a one time, not progressive coming and that it comes at the end of historical time-the end of the age. Then comes judgment.
As to OSAS, there are Scriptures that support this doctrine and those that refute it, so I am not hard and fast on this topic.
Sometimes people use Scripture wisely to support what they present here. Other times people post many Scriptures and not much commentary. Others just speak their mind without citing Scriptures. I think all of these approaches are good and helpful. Not everyone agrees with me on this, but that is their prerogative to do so.
I enjoy responding to your posts. They make me think and check out the Scriptures. So, thank you for your input here. I love learning on here.
Getting an impartial critical analysis of my writing would be helpful for both exhortation and encouragement. I am not sure what I should put more research into; more or less I just come up with ideas daily and go to town. May not be the best way to do things.
The OSAS definitely had some comments; the Pre Trib rapture stuff probably more than anything. It is hard to fathom those who don't understand verses that indicate this; I have written a number in the past. My viewpoint still leaves the possibility of some being left behind; but I am not dogmatic about it. Hopefully whenever anyone has an argument here with myself or anyone else on the forum scriptures can b used as a counter argument; although I have seen little evidence lately. Seems like some are in a very detailed storyline which I can't really follow; or else they are scant on scripture. Some of course I don't respond to for various reasons.
If there are any subjects you think I should tackle let me know I have probably run low on ideas until I hear something new at church or another real life situation comes up.

Jacob is a good example of this. If he had not fled to Laban's home and country, Esau would probably have killed him. In the process of getting there and returning home (20 years later) God revealed Himself to Jacob personally on a number of occasions. He must have been told about God from his grandfather, Abraham and father, Isaac, but knowing God personally came through his trials, failings, and eventual surrender to the directions of God leading Him back to his family in the land God promised to Abraham. Yet, even when back in Canaan, he was not there until he died. He moved to Egypt under Joseph's protection. This move brought about the centuries of bondage in Egypt prophesied to Abraham.
Then we have Moses, the deliverer who had to flee Egypt to Midian and spend 40 years tending sheep before God calls him to lead His people out of Egypt. What happened to Moses in those 40 years we really do not know. But we can pretty much assume that God was preparing Moses to be the prophet who leads the nation of Israel back to Canaan. What influence was Jethro to Moses concerning who the Most High was? Did Moses worship the Most High with Jethro prior to the burning bush experience? Did Aaron visit Moses at any other time besides the time spoken of in Exodus? The adverse circumstances of Moses' life were ordained by God to bring everything into alignment with the history God wanted to occur.
The time spent in Egypt allowed for the fullness of the transgression of the Amorites to occur and so be readied to be wiped out by the Israelites as judgment for what the people of the Amorites had chosen of their own free will. Their rebellion was so complete that their destruction was God's will.
Amazing to think about these things.
It was through Eve and not Adam that Satan sought to destroy the race. The reason may be that the nervous and impressionable character of women is better adapted to demon influence. - Rev. Clarence Larkin
Genesis 28 through 30 go through the story of Jacob after his mother thrust him out to find a wife from among her people; in this case from Laban. Jacob immediately fell for Rachel and after seven years of labor for Laban he was given a wife but he found out in the morning that it was Leah; the older sister. This was not his fault; but nonetheless, God recognized the marriage. In fact; Jacob's attitude toward her in the seven year further wait for Leah (because of Laban's deception) caused Leah to bear many children as she was despised and turned to God for direction. She gave glory to God; and some versions seem to indicate her prayers were answered; after six kids God finally opened Rachel's womb; but not before she had him sleep with the handmaiden for several children who would later be part of the 12 tribes. We should learn here that when we despise someone for somebody else God can bless the person as he is just (as with Leah). God's purposes were done with Jacob's actions; or despite them. Eventually Jacob had a sort of forgiveness and understanding with Esau; his actions may have prevented him from carrying out his plans to kill him out of jealousy. Jacob also found ways to get revenge on Laban for cheating him many years; again the Lord's will was done but not through any righteousness on Jacob's part necessarily. His struggle with God in Genesis 32:22-32 shows a tenacity perhaps unmatched in all history; that a mere man could wrestle with God all night (probably Christ preincarnate) and only through the hip wound the wrestling match was ended. That tenacity for a blessing is something we all can look at as something to emulate in our prayers!
Genesis 31:34 shows how Rachel hid her household gods; something God could have destroyed her and Jacob for. The Lord at that time overlooked it but who knows how much more blessing she could have had without them?
Acts 17:11 (KJV) 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Like Ronald Reagon once said "trust, but verify!"
I was reading through the first bible I ever owned and right next to the scripture I had written "Gift of discernment of Spirits."
Acts 16:16-18 (KJV)
16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:
17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.
18 And this did she MANY DAYS. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
No all that glitters is gold... Paul used his gift of discernment of Spirits and could tell this testimony was of demonic origin. The demonic spirit was stating the truth, but Paul not wanting testimony from a demonic spirit cast it out of her!
So too must we use our spiritual gifts of discernment of spirits to make sure who and what we are dealing with even though it might render some biblical truths. We must be certain that it is of a holy origin, as not all that glitters is gold."
We need healing, jobs, broken relationships to be mended, cars.in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.
Father God, You said in Psalms 91:15 "I will answer" So please answer RicoUS prayers. Deliver and honour him. In his solitaire have him feel Your presence, love and mercy.
As George Muller cried out "O Lord God now"
God bless you RicoUS, from your sister in Christ.
all creation is judged now, today: tomorrow; tomorrow will become today, world without end. judgement is what god has said. his word will not return unto him void.
judgement is now, today, upon the house of the christ; you, me and everyone on this forum; is that house, and there is only one house, the lord god almighty and the lamb: some have not yet come to that truth, but there is a today coming when they shall be overcome by judgement.
you are baptised into the name of jesus christ, resurrected as one, join-heirs, a husband and his bride.
john 17:22 and the glory that thou hast given me, i have given them, that as we are one, they may be one in us.
judgement is now, do you believe what god has said.
philippians 1:29 for it is given to you on the behalf of christ ...... to believe......
god bless you as we abound in the works of god.
God's Blessings on you, TODAY, this day of our Lord.
You ask what I SEE (by the GRACE of our Lord) concerning God's kingdom, now on EARTH, and forever to be on EARTH.
Isaiah 45:18 For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens, God himself that formed the earth and made it, he hath establish it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be INHABITED: I am the Lord, and none else.
Daniel 12:4 But thou, Oh Daniel, seal up the words, even unto the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, AND KNOWLEDGE (of the POWER of God) SHALL BE INCREASED.
The POWER of the WORKS of CHRIST'S CROSS has been lost to the doctrines of man.
Paul said: when I am gone grievious wolves shall come in and destroy the flock.
For about 2000 years now God's people (a remnant) have been isolated in small flocks, each being GIVEN small amounts of truth.
God uses evil for GOOD, and I do BELIEVE the world wide web is EVIL, BUT by the increase of knowledge to have world wide communication, God's remnant is being brought together to CONFESS THEIR SINS TO EACH OTHER.
Not the SINS of the FLESH, they DIED on the CROSS, OUR SIN OF UNBELIEF, the POWER given us by the RESURRECTION of Christ. The POWER of JUDGEMENT, to first judge ourselves, then the WORLD.
Our beggerally little flock HAS NOT been eating enough FOOD, only the CRUMBS from a table that is all YOURS.
There is NOTHING to be ADDED, nor can anything be TAKEN AWAY, WE are a FINISHED CREATION, all by the RESURRECTION of CHRIST.
God BLESS YOU!
"And the evening and the morning were the fifth day."
While we are considering 7 days (or for clarity sake let us put these as articles instead, breaking up the everlasting contract between God and Man. What is the creation account then: We have the rationale and this verse explains,"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.") God blessed the association of marine and land animals with with man to which we shall come anon.(Ge.1:28)
Adam as a steward is on a firmer ground since he is a stand in for the Son. The emblem of the slain Lamb establishes credentials of the Lamb of God who as the Son of man came from the loins of King David. Prophet Jeremiah had predicted "Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man, and with the seed of beast."(Je.31:27) The word of God had created a continuity in the Law of Moses to this emblem so the remnant of the nation of israel shall be acceptable,'I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts" (He.8:10). It is not without reason that the throne in the eternity is known as the Throne of God and of the Lamb. This association stands as a sign for 'the pleasure of His Will'. God blessed all His creation in his Son. The four beasts as memorial in heaven is another.
In the Law of Moses five signifies this association.(Ex.22:1) If one steals the ox of another he gives five oxen by way of making amends . The rationale is that a man and the beast which is his livelihood is considered as one. At the end of the Book of Jonah we have this line, "And should not I spare Nineveh; and also much cattle?"( Jonah 4:11)
Number Four is a command number for the Word become flesh; Number Five commemorates the glory of God in his creative faith supplied everything needful for life and godliness
We can see a principle involved when it comes to life and death. At the time of Moses; the Pharaoh commanded that the Jewish babies be killed ( Exodus 1:15-22). This involved the boys only; the midwives ignored this; thus Moses himself was preserved ironically his own mother was paid to nurse him until he was raised by Pharoah's daughter ( Exodus 2:8-10). Strange happenings indeed. Later we see the same thing happen under Herod in Matthew 2:16-18. The Lord warned Joseph and he was out of the area at this time. In these situations we can certainly see that taking a life is against God's law and therefore we must not follow man's law of such destruction. Satan is clearly attempting to destroy as many as he can created in God's image.
Abraham screwed up twice in regard to lying about his wife during famine and in another difficult situation because he feared for his life. God worked that out supernaturally to show the importance of the marriage covenant and the fact that Abraham was a Prophet. ( Genesis 12:11; Genesis 20:2). Amazingly in Genesis 26:7 Isaac did the same thing with Rebekka. You would thing the lesson would have been learned but clearly certain sins run in the family. What we don't know in these situations is whether those who housed these men's wives at the time would have tried to kill these men if they didn't say anything; since God Himself spoke to them probably not; or they wouldn't have succeeded. The last case involved a Philistine king; again pagans had their conscience pricked (in this case Isaac's behavior made it clear he was her husband). We should consider in all this the sanctity of marriage.
We see Biblical characters such as Jacob messing around with what would have been Esau's blessing. ( Genesis 27-29). Esau wanted his brother murdured ( Gen. 27:41). Heb. 12:16 shows Esau also was a fornicator; and previously had sold his birthright for food ( Gen. 25:29-34). So God allowed it
The scriptures have situations where God accomplishes His purposes despite the behaviors of His messengers or those fulfilling His will. We see Sampson; and his attraction to Philistine women which eventually degraded to being involved with Delilah; a prostitute that brought him shame and ruin ( Judges 16). God eventually used this to allow Sampson to be humbled through blindness then deliberately end his life and thus defeat more Philistines than he did all his life ( Judges 16:29).
We see Jonah and his deliberate disobedience in going to Tarshish rather than Nineveh. God somehow used his message to not only convince repentance from the top leadership to the common people in Nineveh; but also for those he was travelling with on the ship after they were forced to toss Jonah into the sea to save themselves from shipwreck.
Even the story of Esther is questionable from what some interpret happened in a Harem type situation; she also took over as wife of the king which would be considered adultery. It could still be considered as a second wife since divorce is NEVER mentioned in the Bible except Joseph's consideration of it with Mary. It was discussed as an action that could be taken in Deut. 24 but no saints of God or anyone else are mentioned even among pagans that did such a thing. Food for thought....
God would wink at certain things in the past but now of course we are at a higher standard under Christ. ( Acts 17:30). No doubt rewards were lost for those who weren't dealt with in this life if repentance didn't occur; we don't see specific chastising mentioning the particular sins of Sampson (perhaps implied in his death); and for Jonah there seems to be no indication that he ever had the love for the Ninevites at the end of the story; we only see God's rebuke for him feeling sorry for a plant instead.
In upcoming posts we will consider situations where right and wrong appear nebulous.
Let us agree to walk with the LORD and put forth HIS will and commandments first by carrying out HIS promises.
1- Let us confess and repent of our own sins. 1 John 1:9
2- Ephesians 2:8-10 Remember we are ordained to do good works!
3- 2 Peter 3:9 love the lost
4- Matthew 28:18-20 Go make disciples
5- 2 Timothy 2:15 Study HIS word
6- 2 Timothy 3:16, 17 Love, and apply HIS word
7- 1 Timothy 2: 1-4 pray for "...all that are in authority..."
8- Romans 10:1, 2 cultivate the desire and pray to GOD that all might be saved
This is in no particular order and not exhaustive by any means. I am sure the brethren on this forum are able and capable to add to it to the glory and praise of the LORD.
Titus 2:11-14 for while we wait and looking for that blessed hope; for HIS
glorious appearing may we be "...Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;"
Our hope must be only in CHRIST and no one else. GOD to shine HIS face on all who are on this forum and gloriously bless your situation.

"And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth."
God blessed them,- marine creatures and birds, and we read that He sent a river out of his abundance. In spiritual terms quality of the waters above the firmament signifies mercy. A river went out of Eden which was for a specific purpose. (Ge.2:10) The garden belongs to the world of the Spirit whereas what we are considering here is the world of the body where Adam is set as a stand in for the Son. 'but a body hast thou prepared me."(He.10:5).In the Psalm quote "I have preached righteousness in the great congregation." we have the Psalmist communicating from one world to the other. Heart serves as the door connecting both. This must be well understood.
God blessed the marine animals and birds in particular in the Son to which we shall come by and by. St Paul while speaking of man qualifies it thus, God "who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." (Ep.1:3)
Fall of man points consequences and the sea is no longer the same. The wicked are compared to restless sea. (Is.57:20)
God blessed the creatures and we read 'Over 100,000,000 kilograms of plastic are floating in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.' From whence did come this muck that many species are at risk of mass extinction? How sin of man work insidiously across his world. In their degradation the Spirit points out similar ravages wrought in the soul of man.
In the end times there shall be no more sea. (Re.21:1) Instead we read of a pure river, "And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb."(Re.22:1)
"And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good."
When God commanded 'Let there be light" the word went forth, just as the dove was sent out of Noah's ark.(Ge.8:11). It came duly back with evidence that the earth was indeed dry. Does it not resonate in the matter it throws light on the quality of the word? Isaiah inspired by the Spirit speaks "it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."(Is.55:11). The Spirit likewise annotates the same truth in this verse,"Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." (Ec.11:1)It is thus God's sovereignty holds the heights, depths and uttermost parts of his kingdom. There is a word wide web. When He sent his only begotten Son his humanity was set as the word become flesh. When he was demanded of the tribute money he rested in word of his Father. (Matt.17:27) He would not offend the powers that be nor would he let 'other man's riches' corrupt him. All His promises in him is yes. That is what eternal word does for His children. Even a whale would know it. "Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights."( Jonah 1:17) The word sent forth from God showed Jonah some home truths about him. He was entangled as 'spooky' science speaks of a pair of electrons, and was thus with God whether he liked it or not."Prepare to meet thy God ( Amos 4:12). The eternal word is forever settled in the heaven. Amen (Ps.119:89)
As in the case of Jonah the whale was a sign. (Matt.12:39-40) Every life form is thus set in His will.
I am not sure what your fear involves, but we can be certain that we are justified by the blood of Jesus and stand before the Father in the righteousness of Christ that is imputed to us when we come to Christ at conversion. Our own actions, though good in a sense that we intend them to be good, always are tainted by our sinful nature. So our righteousness is never truly what it ought to be. But all that Jesus did, said, thought, willed, and intended was purely good and effective to our account to so that we are accepted by God on His merits, not ours, always.
God loves us. We can be sure of that. He cares for us and wishes to bless us in our daily lives. He gives us what we need when we ask and we can be content in what we have received from Him. He is ever faithful to all He has promised to us who love Him and come to Him in faith. He is full of mercy and grace, which He pours over us because Jesus poured out His blood for us. He is trustworthy, so we can always be confident in what He says, knowing that He never changes. He is all-powerful, so nothing is impossible for Him that is within His perfect will for us.
How wonderful the know these things about God. We can draw nearer to Him knowing that He will not cast us out. Be encouraged, One Eighty, and keep asking Him for knowledge that is true, righteous, and helpful in your pursuit of knowing Him. We are all growing up to reach the full measure of what He desires us to become. We are in the process of becoming complete in Christ. We are being changed from glory to glory to be more and more like Jesus. Our humanity is lifted up from it's depravity, cleansed, renewed, and being made fit for heaven's glory.
It comes to me as no surprise that you are thinking of and praying for me. Thank you! We may never know in this life the joyous effects caused by genuine concern, loving thoughts, and prayers for each other. It would be deceiving if I said that I pray for others as much as you and others on this site do. God bless you (plural).
Even though we've disagreed on some major issues, it has been a blessing to do so while still maintaining respect and being harmless towards each other.
I would like you to be aware that even though I speak much regarding the contrasts of love and fear, and my belief in the necessity of completely ridding my mind from fear, I, in my mind, still struggle with fear. And even though I believe strongly God is Love and ONLY Love, I have not mastered this perfect Love. Due to this, I'm truly grateful for His eternal patience and love, which I believe cannot be limited to time.
Peace be with us and all, as perfect equals one in Christ.
In regards to the last two sentences of your comments: I'm quite certain that out of the millions of churchgoers, past, present, and future, there has, is, and will be some who give 10% minimum and still struggle; and also many who give less or nothing that have not, do not, or will not struggle financially.
Also, is not God omniscient? Of course He is. Why then would he test someone to find out (as if He didn't know), their trustworthiness, when He is eternally all knowing? Is it possible there are things God does not yet understand or know and must wait until later to find out, even though He knows the numbers of hairs on your head?
Lastly, who is this entity who curses, kills and sends to hell? Sounds like to me the source of these qualities of darkness and evil would not be capable of producing perfect Love which could never curse, murder, or deliberately send to hell what is a part of Him. If it were possible that God could be separated from His creation, God would be incomplete without us. Is there anything that can make your Heavenly Father fatherless? Is there another omniscient and omnipotent source even more omniscient and omnipotent than God? No, of course not; there can be ONLY One.
If you say, yes, it is sin, then you may want to consider that sin would only prove what God created holy could not prevail against it, nor remain itself before the power of sin. Sin is perceived as mightier than God, before which God Himself must bow and offer His Creation to Its conqueror, "Satan". Many mistakenly call this humility. It is not; it's madness. NOTHING can separate us from the Love of God; not even our false beliefs that God curses, condemns, and kills.
If God is Love and fear and hate, then your so called "devil" has no purpose or function at all. What's left? NOTHING. Why even ever mention his name?
God Is
Peace
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being NOW JUSTIFIED by his blood, we shall be saved FROM WRATH through HIM.
Psalms 88:16 Thy (the Father's) WRATH has gone over ME (Christ); thy (the Father's terrors have cut ME (Christ) off.
Job 19:11 He (the Father) hath kindled HIS WRATH against ME (Christ), he (the Father) counteth ME (Christ) as one of his enemies.
Isaiah 53:10 It pleased the LORD to bruise HIM, he hath put him to grief: when thou shall make HIS soul an OFFERING for SIN....
The wrath of GOD that all creation deserved was POURED OUT, by his Father, on Christ.
Christ is telling his disciples what is going to occur in a few hours:
Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation (all the wrath of GOD poured out on Christ)), such as was not from the beginning of the world To THIS TIME, nor shall ever be (again).
Matthew 24:21 And except those DAYS (of the great tribulation, the wrath of God on his SON) BE SHORTENED (Pilate SAID, is he so SOON be dead), there shall no flesh BE SAVED (all creation was saved by the great tribulation of Christ).
If you want more scriptures I will give them to you.
God Bless YOU!

2 Timothy 2:21 shows that we can clean ourselves so that we are not just vessels of clay but can be vessels of honor. Jesus tells us that he purges branches to produce more fruit ( John 15:2). We thus face that the lost are nothing but dead branches or profane vessels but we can through sanctification work towards purification and honor. We can perhaps see this also with the parable of the sower where some have the thorns of worldly cares snuff them out. ( Mark 4:18-19). A truly saved individual will pass the test of the trials which God places to test His own (see 1 Peter 1:7).
To succeed we need to be hidden in Christ ( Colossians 3:3) and truly be dead in Christ. Our old nature is impossible to put to death otherwise and will forever try to resurrect itself. God has put eternity into the hearts of men ( Ecclesiastes 3:11); yet that verse shows we cannot see to understand God who is basically beyond time and ourselves. Perhaps self preservation is a reflection that we are an eternal soul; thankfully God has the upper hand for those He has called and predestined will make it to glorification; and that for eternity ( Romans 8:30).
The concept of redemption or Kinsman redeemer is seen with the story of Ruth. Christ redeemed us from among men through His atoning sacrifice ( Galatians 3:13). He purchased us with His blood. He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west ( Psalm 103:12 also read verses 13 to 14). We have passed from death to life ( John 5:24). His Spirit bears witness with our spirit as to our salvation ( Romans 8:16).
These and many other promises are things to meditate on and give comfort. We can only undestand such things if we are spiritually discerned; however and one of His children. ( 1 Cor. 2:14-15). Let us test ourselves to see if we are in the faith therefore ( 2 Cor. 13:5-6).
