My wife is 51 years old and well read in non- fiction and some fiction books and knows the Bible a lot better than I do. Only a few momenta ago, I asked her if she had ever heard of Robert Redford, she said, "no."

Jesus' desire for each of us is to have the same relationship with the God the Father as he has. We should have a relationship with Christ as well, but Christ wants us to know his Father, and to pray to his Father in his name.

In fact, that Jesus is our intercessor is evidenced in part by the fact that we are able to pray in his name, he wants us to his use name on our own behalf, and it is through that vouching that he intercedes for us. He himself prays for us to God his Father, and this is evidence that we should go straight to the Father as he taught us to in the Lord's prayer. Again, if we should pray to our intercessors, why not pray to your pastor and whoever else, as they also should intercede for you. But to pray for oneself, one should go to God.

I am still interested on the name of the faith that Bob is speaking of. Who are his brethren? Are they Amillenialist? More importantly to me, are they non- resistant loving lambs of Christ?

In the name of Jesus one can pray directly to God the Father even Abba, without fear and without fault.

The word Kuria I believe is not the ladys' name in 2nd John. From what I've read John is simply addressing his letter to a chosen spiritual lady.

    Mark Padmore,

Adam and Eve did not need any type of covering because they had not sinned yet.

As angels of light, they were pure.

They were creations of God (i.e. no belly button / no parent)

The covering they may have put on was the 7 layers of membrane we call skin.

After they sinned, the adjustment of God's plan was made.

    God is prepared for everything.

Ron, I have often wondered the very same thing and I myself have done it wrong also but I am going to start praying to Jesus like the Bible says. Thanks and Amen.

The word rapture is not found in the Word of God, but 1Thessalonians 4:17 reveals that the saints who are alive and remain at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ shall be caught up together with them (those who have fallen asleep in Christ), in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The words being "caught up" is the Resurrection of the Saints. I do not believe that we should form an opinion of whether or not He is coming pre, mid, or post tribulation. The truth of the matter is Jesus already told us we don't know the day or the hour when the Son of Man is coming, so how is it that we are having disputes over when He's coming. Jesus said, "Watch, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that ye think not." Matthew 24:44 & Luke 12:46

What is Jesus saying, He is saying that we must be ready at all times. For He is coming as a thief in the night!
  • Marvin Bronowicz - In Reply on Acts 27:9 - 5 years ago
The word Rapture is not in the scripture but it is inferred in 1 Thes. 4.16-18!

The Words Holy Trinity also not in scripture but they too are inferred in Matthew 28.19 and 1John 5-7.
  • Marvin Bronowicz on Galatians 6:17 - 5 years ago
Hebrews 2.7 says, "Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels". Exegete's believe the usage of the word "little" means " for a little while", or simply to rephrase, "Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels! Jesus said "if you've seen me, you have seen the Father! God is a Spirit. No one of the flesh has ever or will never see him! Jesus Christ is the "Word" incarnate, made in the flesh. John 1. 1, and Jesus is therefore the "eternal living Word of God"!

Most of all I believe that before he was made flesh, Jesus (the Word), counciled with the Trinity and agreed to become a sacrificial offering, a blood sacrifice (God's covenant with man has always involved a blood sacrifice for sin!

Jesus is the image of the invisible God and for a little while , 33 1/2,years in the flesh, was a little lower than God because to satisfy Gods justice for sin, make peace between God and man and to bring us back into a right "relationship with Our Father in the Spirit, Jesus had to lower himself to be that sacrificial offering , a lamb, the lamb of God! Only God could do what Jesus the Eternal Living Word of God did! Die for the sins of the World AFTER HAVING LIVED A SINLESS 33 1/2 years in the flesh!!!

There is a catching up to be with the Lord when Jesus returns in the clouds just as he left according to the Angels . But in the Glory of God as well .

No secret Rapture it's not found in the bible . Every eye shall see him ! Amen even so come Lord Jesus !!!

    John chapter 6

    Read Mathew 24

    Luke 21

    2 Thessalonians 2v3

Beware of many false teachings on this . There is no secret rapture , it says he comes in the clouds and every eye will see him
  • Bob Grove - In Reply on Psalms 46 - 5 years ago
This happens on the last day , when Jesus returns in the clouds as he departed . Read John chapter 6 carefully . Read Rev 20 carefully .

Not a pretrib rapture before this great event .

Jesus is returning only once again . Not 2 more times with a secret rapture . It does not exist, but rather a fable to put it mildly.

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 v 3 carefully . There are many more but these should give you good guidance .

    Dear truth seeker

Verse 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them , Take heed that no man deceive you .

    Many will be deceived .

  • Bob Grove on John 6 - 5 years ago
Jesus said he would raise up all that believe in him on the last day x times in this chapter . and in John 11 he also said he is the resurrection.

So how is it possible for a pretrib rapture ? Are you going to be resurrected twice ?

Jesus is coming 3 times ?
  • Bob Grove on Hebrews 9:14 - 5 years ago
    2Timothy chapter 4 verses 3,4

If it's not found in the scriptures it's a fable . And if the scriptures are not very defined and accurate don't twist them into something it's not saying . With out the Holy Spirits guidance you may very well end up with some corruption of the word of God .

Those that corrupt the word of God are more than those that do not . Even in Apostle Paul's time . So most are false teachers and today we have armies of them .

Read the bible for yourself seek the truth . Amen !

God is faithful unto all Generations. His word endured for ever ! Jesus is Risen and coming again be ready !

    Galatians 6:14

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

    Read Galatians 6:15-6:18.

The Christian's glory must bear the marks of the body of Jesus Christ in the cross, in their own bodies. If we glory outside of these marks of Jesus Christ we are glorying in our own marks from the world or in the world.

It is interesting that Paul writes in the cross instead of on the cross and it is purposeful. In the marked body of Jesus Christ is our hope and eternal life. His life was taken on a cross and his Body bore the marks of the cross yet His suffering was for our sin and our hope and our lives.

It is in this suffering, in the cross, where we can glory because it is here that we have been freed from our bondage of sin and death.

Jesus Christ is our beloved Savior and grace and he will bless a Christian's Spirit.

Revelation 22:10-15 "And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be unfilthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie."

On Genesis 2:25 "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." Why did they have to be naked, didn't God have plan for multiplication of the human race before the disobedience and thereafter? Were mankind to be naked forever had they not disobeyed?

Where in the Bible does it say that 7 years prior to the tribulation there will be a caught up to meet the Lord in the air ?

Also when they do meet the Lord in the air , where are they going ? Answer to Jerusalem, or forever in the clouds you pick . The Lord is going to reign so yes we are forever with the Lord where he is .
