"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words." 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17,18

This is the rapture and how it will come about. The second coming and the rapture are the same. We will meet Jesus whether dead or alive, when he returns. But regardless of how one believes the rapture takes place, when it takes place or where it takes place, the main thing is it WILL take place and we are instructed to watch and pray. Be ready. That is the main thing.

I hear a lot of people praying to "Father God", but the bible teaches us that Jesus is our intercessor, 1 Timothy 2:5 and Romans 8:34. So why do people pray to "Father God"? I am 65 years old and have been a Born Again Christian since i was 14. I first noticed this about 20 years ago and have often wondered how and why this came about. We should pray to Jesus, shouldn't we? I believe in the trinity. I am not Jesus only but the Bible does put him first until 1 Corinthians 15:28.

Goliath intimidated the entire Army of Israel but one little boy took action and by faith and the help of the lord, defeated the giant singlehandedly. Never let satan intimidate you no matter how big he looks. Never forget who you are and who you belong to. Never be afraid to take action. Faith without works is dead. Be a David

Please pray for my son Jesse. His mother died last year and he has a hard time coping. Even though he is 38 years old, he has a mind more like a teenager. He need God's guidance. Pray that the lord will intervene in his life and get him on the right path. He is being influenced by an older woman that is using him for his inheritance. Pray for her too that God would change her heart.

Alex comments about y Jesus washed their feet,it was not about their feet it was about their hearts their feet was their hearts spritualy speaking that needed washing a new heart and a new spirit was what they needed . Jesus said he that eats bread with me has lifted up his Heel against me but Judas neva lifted up his heel against Jesus, Judas neva assaulted Jesus with his feet, Judas neva kicked Jesus, Judas assaulted Jesus with his heart the scriptures say that Satan had entered the HEART of Judas to betray him, Its mans hearts that need washing our hearts is satans house thats y Jesus said you are not all clean, there is a bit of our carnal mind that is in rank with satan,Thats y Jesus called Peter satan. But Judas neva assaulted Jesus with his heel, neva did kick JESUS, JUDAS ASSAULTED JESUS WITH HIS HEART, An old friend that EATS bread with me has lifted up his heel against ME, We love to eat at his table ( hearing his parables ) but we assault him with our old evil adamic nature,Thats y he told Peter thou art an offence unto me. Our carnal mind is our foot spritually speaking. We walk with Jesus in the spirit thus our heart is our feet that is made clean by his word. When he washed their feet he said you are made clean by the word i have spoken unto you. Thats y he told Judas it wd have been better if he were neva born which is true of all of us it wd have been better if our old adamic nature had neva been born that y we must be bornagain and is the reason Jesus had to die that we might all get a seed and incorruptible seed the words of the new covenant. When a seed dies it multiplies which is gonna give mankind a new heart and a new spirit a new innerman which is the H.G. The bible scholars got it all wrong the foot washing was not about out literal feet. Our personal hygene does not defile us ( our feet etc ) Jesus said its the things that come from the heart that defiles a man thus we need a new heart and a new spirit NEW AS IN NEW BIRTH THAT NEW EARTH ETC

  • Mina on Leviticus 15 - 5 years ago
I think verse one is explaining during the time of Moses and Aaron, God did communicate to His people directly. He could not see them face to face because of His holiness, but they could hear His voice. Even in Genesis, Adam talked to God directly. When Adam and Eve sinned through disobedience, they lost that gift but because God love us so much, He made a way to restore that communication through His son Jesus Christ by sending Him on earth and by dying on the cross.

    GOD HEARETH NOT SINNERS

    Job 37:9; Psalm 18:41; 34:15; 66:18; Pr. 1:28; 15:29; Isaiah 1:15; Jer. 11:11; 14:12; Eze. 8:18: Micah 3:4; Zech. 7:18; JOHN 9:31.

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15) this whole world has been deceived and what mankind must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

The word 'Repent' in different forms (repent, repentance, repented, repentest, repenteth, repenting), is mentioned 110 times in the KJV, and there seems to be a great misconception what the true 'spiritual' meaning of the word is. The word 'repent' used in the New Testament was translated from the Greek word "metanoeo", and means to change, transform, to think differently or reconsider.

Only through Repentance will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1) and reveal to you how this whole world has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9) and overcome this world ( 1 John 5:4).

The word "Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God

The peace that God's people will enjoy is clearly linked in prophecy to the destruction of those who oppose God. It is undeniable that the lives of godly people would be more peaceful if there were no wicked people on earth. The people of God will enjoy peace in the future in part because Jesus Christ will destroy the wicked and unrepentant. Scripture never says that the ungodly or unsaved have peace with God. Romans 5:1 says, "we [Christians] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." It does not say, "Everyone" has peace with God. The Church Epistles thus echo what the Old Testament and Gospels proclaim: that the peace of God is for those who have believed in God.

    On ISAIAH 37:10

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived, it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.

It means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

It is only by revelation of God that people will come to know the true Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It should be remembered that it is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Isiah 4:1 has double implication, physically and spiritually. Israel was just coming from war where many of the men were killed. today, by population, in the world today, we have excess women which may imply many women clinging to a man. this verse happened in real life in Israel.

Spiritually, seven is a mark of perfection, women represents church. the church is suppose to be perfect though. The church today says let us bear your name, we will have our own doctrine, our own style of worship!!!. We heal in your name, we preach in your name..... depart from me ye workers of iniquities, I know you not.!!!

Ephesians 4:18 - Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Matthew 13:14-15 - And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall NOT PERCEIVE.

Proverbs 28:13-14 - He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them, shall have mercy.

Hebrews 3:8 - Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Mark 8:17 - And when Jesus knew [it], he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? have ye your heart yet hardened?

Exodus 9:12 - And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

Exodus 7:3 - And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt.

Jeremiah 17:9 - The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

John 12:48 - He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

  • WHY the word Rapture is not in the Bible on Psalms 46 - 5 years ago
In The Bible, the phrase to search is CAUGHT UP. It is commonly asserted that the word rapture doesn't appear in the Bible, and this absence is held forth as evidence that the teaching of the rapture is a falsehood. But this claim is UNTRUE. The word rapture does appear in the Bible. It appears in the exact same way that words like angel and apostle appear in the Bible. he word rapture is simply the anglicized form of the Greek word (harpaz) that appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 in the original text.

To begin with, the English word rapture is derived from the Latin participle raptus from the verb rapio. And Latin rapio and Greek (harpaz) are cognates - they are the same word. Don't be fooled by the superficial differences between Latin rapio and Greek harpaz. The - (-az) on the end of (harpaz) is not part of the shared stem but a common Koine Greek verb ending. The shared stem is simply "rap" - rap in Latin and - (r-p) in Greek.

The fact is, harpaz and rapio belong to a class of Greek and Latin cognates where Greek adds an "h" to the shared stem. Another example from this class is Greek (histmi) and Latin sto. Here again, neither the "h" at the beginning nor the - (-mi) verb ending are part of the shared stem. The stem is st in Greek and sto in Latin. And it is sta in English, from whence we get words like stand and standard.

So we see that English rapture, Latin rapio, and Greek harpaz are cognates - they are the same word in different languages. But not only are they the same word, they have the same meaning. Anyone who has done a little reading from extra-biblical Greek and Latin, or has at least enough familiarity with those languages to use the classical Greek and Latin lexicons is well aware of the fact that Greek (harpaz) and Latin rapio regularly bore the same sense of "remove from harm's way" that pretribulationists claim for the English word rapture.
