  • Andy G van den Berg - In Reply on John 2 - 5 years ago
By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution a few hours a week ( Acts 7:48; 17:24), does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

  • Rolando Martinez on Psalms 14 - 5 years ago
Psalm 14 pertains to me because I have been that fool who says "there is no God". At 17 years old, while spouting my unbelief, I experienced the power of God's word (Hebrews4;12) when my classmate, Diane Garcia, showed me Romans 6;23 in her Bible. I read "the wages of sin is death" and that shut my mouth. I could say no more. From that moment until now, my life became a living testimony to the truth of those words. In the following years my life was like that of the prodigal son: a downward spiral. I ended up like the demoniac in Mark5;1-20: horrible depressions, violent temper (though cowardly), foul thoughts, (Read Romans 1;28 to 32).

Just as Jesus came to rescue the demoniac hiding in the tombs, Jesus rescued me. By then I was becoming suicidal but, one night, as I held a gun to my head I thought "then what?" and fear made me put the gun away. That's when I called on God, in ignorance because I did not understand the gospel, hoping against hope that there was a God because I had said for so long "bah, there is no God!" my soul was in total darkness. Hoping that He would help me. May this confession serve as testimony to the goodness of God because He saved me in spite of my blasphemes, the corruption that my life had become. I did not deserve God's mercy nor His salvation yet He began to heal my soul, to bring comfort to me. He brought Christians into my life who shared God's word which convicted me until I openly admitted "I am a sinner". I said that to Ron Norton when he asked if I was a Christian. He admitted that he was a sinner and showed me Ephesians 2;8,9 in his pocket bible. I finally understood: our salvation is a gift and not by our well doing because Jesus suffered the penalty for our sins at the cross.

Bless you Lord Jesus and may all who read this testimony be encouraged to trust in you!

Thank God, that the ass in it's wisdom spoke to Balaam and Balaam woke up to the fact that though it paid to give Balak and his people a blessing, it did not pay to cross the Lord God Almighty and who He alone wished to bless.

    This lesson remains applicable today.

We cannot question Gods Word, but if we pray and seek His Face n ask Him God to reveal these things which are puzzling to Us n if it is His will He, God will reveal them to Us sometimes itsnot the way you would like but He always have a Ready listening Ear."Is there AnyThing Too Hard For The LORD says He"n He meant Every Word.

Regarding the Lord Jesus Christ: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." ( John 1:10-13)

If your precious ones come to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, they would have God almighty as their loving Father.

John 6:63: " It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."

God never change. We have to comply with what he wants. Look at Balaam and Balak.

Personal Understanding will get you oh so far. But the Spirit. Can get you unlimited knowledge, by God's will. Saying that Jesus speaks in metaphors. Is clear when Jesus says in 1 Samuel 26:12 . is that not a metaphor. When it says "deep sleep".

It is a clear that a lot of things in the Bible are metaphors from the saying "fishers of men" to the whole book of Revelation.

I think true research should be done to find out who the ancient israelites were. We know that Jesus said that we are saved not by our ancestry but by accepting HIM as the only way to God the Father. We only get salvation that way. No nation can be saved solely by ancestry but we are saved individually; however history is amiss something is hidden about the origins of the Jews. We cannot just call anyone an antisemite if they ask questions we have to facilitate non-racist dialogue. I think the scientific community needs to set aside its bias and conduct Godfearing and true research and come up with the correct answers for who the ancient Jews were. My reason being the end according to 'some Christians' cannot happen until they are all gathered back together. I think this will happen at the time of the END when Jesus comes and gather his faithful who are the real spiritual jews but many may disagree with me. So my challenge to the evangelicals who claim soo much depends on the nation of Israel turning to GOD, why don't you find out who the ancient Jews are as recent research just showed that the maternal DNA of the askenazi jews are European in origin. I want answers and don't shut me down by calling me names as I believe I am a spiritual jew and attacking me will be an act of antisemitism.

Good morning all..Im asking for your continued prayers for my sons James and John. They are addicts in need of God's intervention. James has been touched by the Holy Spirit, it is evident. I'm not in contact with John enough to see God working in him, but I have faith that He is. Thank you for praying, and may God fulfill all of your needs. Amen.

    Stanjett,

    Angels can reproduce!

If angels can not produce, then how do you explain the birth of Cain?

The flood of Noah's time was released due to the fallen angels mating with the daughters of Adam.

The result of the fallen angels mating with the daughters of Adam were a race of Giants.

Humans mating with humans does not make giants.

In the OT, "Sons of God" are angels.

    Is Abraham in heaven?

    What about Joshua Ezekiel?

    Mary?

Is Jesus in heaven alone with God?

What about Moses and Elijah on the the Mount of Transfiguration?

You are wise! If only people understood that knowledge is useless without wisdom; and wisdom can only come through prayer and the study of God's holy Word! Wisdom dictates that skin color is no different than hair color or eye color. Unfortunately, we live in a world that rolls its eyes at a simple comment like that.

1 This know also, that in the LAST DAYS perilous times shall come.

2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

    4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power (of GOD) thereof: from such turn away.

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was.

10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

13 But evil men and seducers shall WAX WORSE AND WORSE, deceiving, and being deceived.

    Jesus is returning soon...
