I have heard a thought that at least warms my heart when thinking about the time period after death and before the Marriage Supper.

Some Christian cultures as folks are coming to a wedding have an meal or gathering perhaps the evening before. Because of long distance traveling the hour of the gathering is somewhat flexible to allow as many guest as possible to arrive. The guest arrive and mingle together in the fellowship of the Saints and likely speak of in a calm happiness the events that are so soon to take place while waiting on more guests to arrive.

    1 John 3:9

By nature every person is born in sin through the sinful seed of their natural fathers and conditioned therein ( 1 Peter 1:23). For that reason and in order to become a son of God, which are born of God, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God, a person must be 'Born Again' ( John 1:12,13; 3:3-7; 1 John 3:9; 5:4).

By attending a man-made institution ( Acts 7:48; 17:24) a few hours a week does not mean that a person can make a claim that they are followers of Christ and 'Born Again'. That is falsehood, as in truth they follow after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; Rev. 12:9). This is how Satan has transformed Himself into an angel of light ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Only through 'True Repentance' will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1). It is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).

Sounds good Sammy! Parents should by example from an early age teach their children how to pray, so that someday God through his Son will call them like Samuel was called. Regarding praying out loud in public, likely there are times and places that it is okay and not just a show, but praying on the inside is always okay. God knows and neighbors know who prays for show or for love to the Father. Regarding those not only in present positions of leader ship but in times past too, praying for leaders to know and follow God's will will bring quiet to the land. When there is quiet in the land , more children old and young can hear the still small voice of God when he speaks to a person anywhere in earth, no matter their position for their own good. Let Christians carry the Gospel message through example and not worldly powers. :)

    Hello Ms White,

I don't know exactly what happens after a person dies, but while I've examined some NDE stories, I believe what God inspired in the Bible. Yours is an intelligent question. You clearly see that the act of being sent to either Heaven or Hell is in itself a judgement. So true because it's sound logic

The word "judgement" in Revelation 20 is a direct word-for-word translation of the ancient Greek word for judgement. It's unfortunate for this chapter because the old Greek meaning must've been different. The important key when translating is to translate the meaning - so word-for-word is not always meaningful between different languages of different cultures at different times. (The KJV isn't a literal translation, btw). The meaning of 'judgement' has been lost because no translator has ever been trained, tested &certified by an independent board, the way NAATI translators need to be before translating modern languages for the U.N. So, these so-called translators really didn't know what a dead ancient language sounds like and they can't be 100% sure of it's grammar

But the true meaning can only be "sentence". Just like modern courts, Judgement Day is Sentencing Day to send body&soul to the 2nd death in that Lake

Rev 20:11-15 >The "dead" are souls, in resurrected bodies, who haven't heard of our God and/or did but didn't want to know. It likely isn't believers too because Jesus gave us eternal life ( John 3:16) &we do have a renewed spirit because we are born again ( 1 Peter 1:23), so we can't be called "dead". But we could also be present on this Sentence Dlay just to see it because some religious leaders& scholars now teach a newer idea, since the 19th or 20th C, that there is a separate judgement for believers regarding the quality of our works - that's based simply on 1 or 2 verses about a "seat" of Christ ( Rom 14:10). That debate isn't relevant here, but I'll just squeeze in that the text also refers to a judgement of everyone, dead or living ( Rom 14:9)

I know its popular to say that at funerals and to comfort those mourning, but I don't believe it's true. They might be in a 'better place' however, just not heaven, because all must wait for judgment. Also, it says the dead will rise to meet Jesus in the air. I'm sure it will be spiritual bodies, not physical ones that have rotted. It wouldn't make sense otherwise if people went straight to heaven to then go back to earth to an old body just to raise up and meet Jesus in the clouds, just for the ceremony of it. So, both scripture and logic refute that idea. Most people believe this because of Jesus telling the other guy on the cross that he would be in paradise. First, Jesus can pick whomever he wants to have special treatment- it doesn't automatically mean 100% of others will follow suit and ignore the other scripture. Secondly, paradise may not necessarily mean heaven. Paradise could be an intermediary place of rest or waiting. Just some thoughts. No one knows 100% until it happens. We just have scripture and logic.

If not saved: a hindering, harassing, unclean spirit. Ephesians 6

    Go on YouTube and watch some spiritual warfare videos on how to recognize it;

How to make the spirits leave.

We don't want to see devils everywhere: we just need to bind them and cast them out. Unsaved people don't know they are wide open to be afflicted spiritually. Pray in your car privately. The realm of the spiritual is open to only the spiritual.
  • What to expect during the Rapture for Believers who are ready - In Reply on 1 Timothy 2:4 - 5 years ago
Briefly, if we have not been Caught Up in the clouds to meet Jesus yet:

Our bodies or our ashes, remain in the ground.

Our spirit and soul ascend to heaven to await "the Rapture", when our bodies will ascend into the clouds to be transformed into our eternal bodies that will never get sick or die. If our earthly bodies were not complete or marred in some way: our new bodies will be perfect; body , soul, spirit.

All souls are Mine, says God in scripture.

Once the dead in Christ are rejoined; then those alive on earth will ascend next To meet Jesus and everyone else in the clouds.

Be watching for Jesus every day.

David was a man after Gods own heart. Even with his frailties, God loved Him. That's how I learned. A servant will attend to every request of His master. He will sit in the watchtower, with the watchman; in the night. He will sit in the dark patiently waiting on what the Lord will speak.

I cannot describe the rewards of being that kind of servant.

Where two means Husband and Wife and three means child or children. So when a family gather for family prayer in the name of Jesus , He is there in the midst of them. In a christian life family prayer is very important like God Trinity which put the family together always. Iff Jesus comes in the midst of us, then Father and Holy spirit also be with us and also angels will join them surely. Our home will become a small Heaven.
  • Grace regarding 1 Peter 12 - In Reply on Colossians 2 - 5 years ago
    Hello Gar,

I'm interested to know about which old documents you are referring. What reference or proof do you have that the word "elect" was not in the original Greek? I'm hoping this is true, but it could be too difficult for anyone to show this because of lost scrolls, fake documents accepted as authentic by some, and just too many centuries have passed

Anyway, I've checked that the ancient Greek word eklektos was translated correctly as the adjective "elect" in the 1611 KJV. Others translated it as "chosen". Note that eklektos is an adjective, a descriptor, a word that is an attribute or characteristic. It is not a noun or a verb or even the past tense of the verbs to choose, to select & to elect as Calvinists have misinterpreted and misunderstood. Example sentence starting with an adj. : (Sam is) Amusing according to Kim's letters

Eklektos must be translated as a characteristic or quality as it was intended to be descriptive. So, in English the adjectival meaning of 'Elect' is: worthy to be chosen, favourite, preferred, and or "selected for an office, but not yet inducted". Likewise, when "chosen" is used instead of 'elect' as an adjective, chosen means: preferred, to be selective from a number (of available). 'Preferred' would've been the better English translation to stop the arguments

What's more, "foreknowledge" is "prognosis" in ancient Greek. So that sentence means 'We are preferred by God, according to His ability to see into the future, to be sanctified for obedience'. It's not the Calvinist 'The Chosen Ones according to His will'

3 different bible versions have all used the same document for 1st Pete1:2

    21st Century KJV

2 elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father through sanctification of the Spirit, unto...

    New Life Version

You were chosen by God the Father long ago. He knew you were to become His children. You were set apart for holy living by...

Did anyone mentioned the fulfillment of the symbolic horsemen prophecies?

Briefly, revelation 6:2 is a symbolic leader of Israel who had gotten a crown (the Palestine's Lands) and is set on conquering the Palestine people

Revelation 6:4 is a symbolic Palestine leader who is going to get a huge support from the East to make War in Israel

Revelation 6:5 is a symbolic American leader who is controlling all the world economy and is also protecting the interest of the jews and christens in Israel

Revelation 6:8 is a symbolic christen leader in Israel who will be persecuted along with many christens.

Who was the first with this interpretation?

    Hello Mrs Fernandez,

I suspected your question is not for you personally, and the Lord told me to investigate the prayer section. Sure enough I found more to your question. So I've answered it there
  • Grace - In Reply on Revelation 12 - 5 years ago
    Hello Mrs Fernandez,

I understand that you are very anxious about the disrespectful and sinful behaviours of your sons and daughters-in-law, and I appreciate that you have enough self-awareness to admit that you and your husband weren't the "perfect" parents. So, I see that you have family problems and personality clashes that started when you were a mother to young children.

You should pay for a licensed family counselor to advise and listen to you, your husband, your eldest son, and his wife. If you can afford it, then this is what you can do to make relief for your guilt about not raising them well as kids. Maybe you can share the fee with your eldest son, or find a free licensed counselor in your church. It is not right to prevent grandchildren from visiting their grandparents. I will pray that the Holy Spirit will convict that son of yours to go to counselling with you and to let you see your grandchildren more than he is permitting

As for your other son, I wonder how you know about the second woman in their bedroom?! I hope it is not from gossip but from you having seen it yourself. If what you have described here is true, and not from a wicked desire to control your sons and daughters-in-laws, then it will not be helpful to give you scriptures to quote at that bi-sexual daughter-in-law because she might not believe in God

Why have you not spoken your concern to the youngest son who is with an atheist woman? When there is no clear and mutual communications between all the adults involved, it is a symptom that when they were young children the parents were the cause of problems. So, you also need group counselling with the youngest son only, but not with his wife or partner

You will need to learn to accept that they are all adults now and are accountable to God by themselves. Nevertheless, I will pray that the Holy Spirit will make them aware of how they are distressing you and also that they need to repent of their sins

    Hello Ms Green,

It is likely that Matthew Henry, of the 18th Century, was vaguely referring to a much later time well after the event at the beginning of chapter 16, which was held in a tent in Jerusalem, also called the City of David. A bit after that event, another shrine/altar (spelt with two A) was constructed in Gibeon (see verse 39). Usually, Reverend Henry gave very good good commentaries, but like most commentators they aren't also the rare few talented writers who understand the effect of words on the audience. Henry confused the readers. Anyway, it's good that you read the commentary before asking your question because correct answers are sometimes in such
