but if neither of you have laid ( fornicated ) with someone else you should be alright because people are not suppose to divorce for every thing just fornication
Thou art acting the very part of Satan, both by endeavouring to hinder the redemption of mankind, and by giving me the most deadly advice that can ever spring from the pit of hell. Thou SAVOUREST NOT, Dost not relish or desire. We may learn from hence, That whosoever says to us in such a case, Favour thyself, is acting the part of the devil: That the proper answer to such an adviser is, Get thee behind me: That otherwise he will be an offence to us, an occasion of our stumbling, if not falling: That this advice always proceeds from the not relishing the things of God, but the things of men. Yea, so far is this advice, favour thyself, from being fit for a Christian either to give or take, that if any man will come after Christ, his very first step is to deny, or renounce himself: in the room of his own will, to substitute the will of God, as his one principle of action.
2.my husband - he's an alcoholic, spend all his money on beer.
3.my husband's job - still looking for job (unemployed)
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Job 6:30
Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things?
Psalms 119:103
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
Proverbs 24:13
My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:
As is: I do not see the fruit of what is written in 1 Corinthians 13, in some of the comments being made. Where's the Love?
Christian patience, tolerance, long-suffering?
Let us all remember that today.
Earlier this year, roughly 350 Nigerian Christians were killed at the hands of Islamic radicals. By June, the total was over 1,200 murdered for their faith.
At this rate, some 2,400 innocent Christians - including children - will be slaughtered by year's end. And it could be much, much higher at this precipitous rate. This is no longer just a human rights crisis. It could become an extinction-level event.
And that doesn't even address the number of Nigerian Christians abducted and enslaved every year. The world should be outraged.
The ACLJ has gone directly to the U.N., urging international intervention and aid for Nigeria's Christians.
And we continue to fight for Leah Sharibu, the Christian teen who remains a prisoner of Boko Haram - the brutal Islamic militia in Nigeria - because she won't convert to Islam.
Violence against Christians is spreading beyond Nigeria's borders. It will soon spread out of control.
We're fighting to SAVE CHRISTIANS and defend their right to worship freely without fear of violent persecution and death.

He has returned to Catholicism. He has kind of been, in and out. His brother, Terry, has a great song, Wake Up America and I Saw Him.
I have listened to some "sermons" by John Michael Talbot, and the theme is all Jesus. I'm not going to "judge" either man on his walk with God. No.
Nor the man who got frustrated with me last night. I forgive his frustration.
All I know to be fact, is that those whom Jesus loves; He will draw unto Himself. To reveal Himself to them. He has chosen them to follow Him. We have to give up some things, generally, to do that. I can only testify that He's worth more than anything we possess or own. Selah.
>>Jesus said in John 14:6 "...no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." but Catholics instead elect a Pope to do exactly the opposite- to come in between you and Jesus.
OOPS! Now it seems that you have misinterpreted the meaning of that verse. I am positive that it has nothing to do with coming between anyone. It has to do with Salvation according to mainstream Christianity. No one comes to the Father - is saved - except by the blood and sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Forgive me please if we are talking at cross purposes but I believe that I am right about this.
The thing about the Pope is that he is supposed to be the Vicar of Christ - essentially Jesus's representative. According to the New Testament Christians are "of a royal priesthood" and of course do not need an earthly priest to intercede as you've pointed out. There is only one Melchizedek priest - Jesus Christ Himself - whom we pray to intercede for us during prayer.
I agree with you Adam that Catholicism - in all probability - isn't the correct religion. That is probably true. However Catholics themselves are indeed true Christians. Why? Because they believe that Jesus Christ is their Lord and Saviour. And that - according to the Bible - is all it takes.
May the Force be with you Adam.
"Believe on me."--Jesus Christ.
Btw, you yourself don't pay a lot of attention to the Bible either. Trust me. I'll wager that you think that Revelation is all about the future and you are also waiting for the silly Rapture. Right? The first eleven chapters of Revelation are in the PRESENT tense not future tense and the Rapture isn't Biblical. So my strong advice is to revisit your Bible.
May the Lord be with you Adam.
Our friend Chris, that's a great teacher has much knowledge on these matters is on a trip till September. He's much better at answering their questions.
People could sift through the recent history pages of room comments (1-100), at the bottom of this screen, to search for his previous comments to Catholics. Just look for his name.
My testimony is about Jesus, who is known to reach down into the mess of our lives and pull us into a reality that is impossible to deny. He really cares enough to show Himself "to hard cases" like myself. I'm like Paul in a way: killing people with my take on life; until the God of Life knocked me into His reality. Impossible to deny that.
"For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten."
King James Version (KJV)
2 So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll.
3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness."
And Proverbs 24:13 is like a prophetic word!
The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and not for any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). If it records in Rev. 12:9 that this whole world has been deceived it did not speak of a particular country, group of people, person or religion, it meant the whole world.
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' how and by whom ( 2 Cor. 11:13-15) this whole world has been deceived and what mankind must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).
Only through Repentance will God be able to reveal Himself, and adopt you as His sons and daughters ( Rom. 8:15,23; 2 Cor.6:18; Gal. 4:5; Eph. 1:5; Hebr. 12:5; 1 John 3:1) and reveal to you how this whole world has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9)..
The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).
For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( John 14:17).
It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know the true Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1), and only then will you be able to overcome the spirit of this world ( 1 John 5:4; Rev. 3:21). It should be remembered that it is a narrow way that leadeth unto 'Life', and few there be that find it ( Matthew 7:14).
I agree that Jesus is the way to everlasting life.
I am not sure what you mean by a "condemned to death sinner" being "protected by the Law" by "putting themselves in the Mercy Seat of Christ."
I don't want to live in a society that allows murderers to be justified in the Law because they have decided to be "brave enough" to believe that the Law of God has been fulfilled through the blood of Christ and therefore we do not need to be under it anymore.
Faith in Jesus does not free people from the consequences of sin.
Murderers are to be dispatched back to God.
Forgiveness is up to the one offended, not the offender; and it is based on repentance.
The Law is there for us to follow.
Again, I will state that only Jesus did not NEED the Law.
He was Perfect.
The rest of us need the Law.
Concerning the "Bride:"
I don't believe that the collective Christian churches are the Bride of Christ.
The Bride is Jerusalem that God took to wife ( Ezekiel 16:8), and SHE will be renewed and called "New Jerusalem" ( Revelation 3:12, 21:2)
We as Christians make up the collective "body" of Christ ( Ephesians 1:23, 5:23, Colossians 1:18, 24, etc..)
