  • A Testimony by Mishael - In Reply on Luke 17:3 - 5 years ago
This is a piece of testimony that I promised. It is meant to show YOU how much Jesus loves YOU and desires you to be in His family. He accepts you now (as is) and has grace and mercy in His heart towards you. Yes! You.

Sometimes we get caught up on all the Thou Shalt nots and the verses that are meant to keep order in the Church; the Body of Christ: we lose sight of the Grace which is always standing right in front of us.

He always desires us to extend that Grace outward to others who do not know of that Grace just yet. The Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ within us (upon salvation), leads us in spiritual growth; taps us on the shoulder when we are veering off the path; leads us into the knowledge of the Holy.

Testimony: I was an astrologer before salvation. If people opposed me, I would imagine them dead; and bury them. I would have nightmares of fields of graves that refused to stay hidden. Fear hath torments.

After my salvation, people who had known me would say to my face, with a chuckle, that anyone as evil as I had been could NOT possibly be saved! My doubts and joy began to ebb away. In anguish I had to prove that I could make Jesus cut me loose and turn on me too. And then I had a dream.

Jesus was nailed to a Cross, which was lying on the ground. He was looking at Me. The self-hate in me rose up and I picked up a rock and began to hit the nails in His hands. Every time I struck Him, He would say "I Love You." I kept on believing He would give up on me. He kept saying, I LOVE YOU. Finally I threw the rock away and collapsed on his chest, and I let love and forgiveness flood my soul. All the self-hate and condemnation was washed away in tears. I woke up. I knew without a doubt that His power to Forgive was stronger than my power to Hate.

I never again hated or received hate. All the dreams were ended. Every day of my new life was lived in His acceptance of me.

You can live your life that way too. Search your hearts and minds.

    Mark 6:12.

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what by nature people have been conditioned to believe. it is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. Actually, it means the changing of spirits - to change from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' what it means to 'Repent' and how people have been deceived ( Rev. 12:9), we invite you to review the article 'Repent' on a world deceived.ca

Barbara, your question and plea for help is indeed your first step to coming close to God. You are earnestly seeking Him, and my fervent advice to you is to stop "trying". To surrender yourself to Jesus. It is Jesus that pulls you to Him, to His ever-loving bosom. Through your faith, Jesus dissolves your worldly lusts and desires, and gradually you become ever-more receptive to experience the miracles that Jesus pours out upon you, in such glorious abundance! May you pray to God your Father in the name of Jesus to open your spiritual eyes. May God so bless you abundantly, I pray, Amen.

    Some of my favorites:

John chapter 16 is Jesus preparing his disciples for difficulty, ending with "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." (verse 33).

Acts 14:22 is an exhortation to continue in the faith through tribulation.

Romans chapter 8 is Paul's testimony on hardship and the believer's victory in Christ Jesus.

Revelation 2:8-11 is Jesus encouraging the suffering Church.

Revelation 7:9-17 shows us a great multitude come out of tribulation, redeemed by the blood of the lamb.

Sons of God are men in Gods image .. Male and female He created us .. No angels were created to procreate and the book of Enoch is a lie .. It clearly claims that all, ''ALL'' fallen angel offspring ''nephillim'' were 300 cubits tall = 450' tall .. Ridiculous and stupid .. Angels first estate were to serve, worship God and be messengers .. Then you have ''kinds after their kinds'' to get around and convince that the lie there were angels capable of producing children mating with mankind .. Next you have to convince they could care for a family instead of killing them .. So stop it and quit making demons heroes, sickening to give demons that much credit .. Quit wasting valuable time on that nonsense and stick with truth and away from Jewish and other fables ..

Please ask God to continue pouring His Spirit out over my sons James and John. Father, thank you for guiding James into this healthy, spiritual place where he desires to stay sober and well. I ask that you please guide John into the same healthy place. Please bless them both with long, healthy, happy lives.

1 Corinthians 13:10. The decree in the scripture is that all things are made perfect in Christ the first fruit. Christ tells the church to wait, He's coming back. Who determined that His conditions and requirements for the church should change during the time he tells us to wait on His return. There is no other scriptural support to change the requirements and condition of the church during this period of Grace. Acts 2:38, 39. "for the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." Mark 16:17, Acts 2:3-4, Acts 19:6. Speaking in tongues and baptism in Jesus name are still the requirements for salvation. When the Holy Ghost enters a person there is a reaction in the body from the anointing and rebirth process that causes the new born to cry out in tongues. Mark 16:17.

Jerry, Thank you, you are not alone in what God has called you to DO.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2Chronicles 7:14

This is the keystone to a revival of the church in the world.

    Matthew 4:6.

Lahniya McKithen is looking for a better understanding of Matthew 4:6.

The word 'lest' means 'in order that you not'. An example of lest is when you bring an umbrella in order to avoid getting wet.

It means: with the intention of preventing something undesirable to avoid the risk of something.

In Matthew 4:6 it meant that angels would protect Christ that He would not hurt his feet against a stone.

There's little bits of info in the genealogies that match with stories of people's lives. I'd miss huge gaps in Genesis until I slowed down to literally read at a snails pace.

Keep 'Cliff' in your Bible and pray for him to turn back to God.

Yes, II thought I became a Christian at. 23years old.I walked up an aisle, was a Roman Catholics, then. And everything they were telling me to do, I thought I had done. And I sat back down, pleased with myself. A girlfriend had invited me to his healing service. And I never heard from her again. Meanwhile, I was on my own, sinning, even had an abortion. Then I met a gentleman, whom I later, married, who knew the Bible inside and outside. I knew God. Wanted me to know Himself and the Bible. But my mom had told me the Bible was a book of fables. And so I had many doubt's, and still do. When I t ry to read the bible, I get really anxious, and read like I!m reading fiction. How do I get the faith to believe all that the Bible says, and that Jesus is real, and is the Word Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Comment: Sometimes you have to see a word in use (in the Bible) to see what it pertains to.

    Vain has multiple uses.

    Exodus 5:9

Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

    Leviticus 26:16

I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

    Leviticus 26:20

And your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits.

    Deuteronomy 5:11

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

    Deuteronomy 32:47

For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

And they gave him threescore and ten pieces of silver out of the house of Baalberith, wherewith Abimelech hired vain and light persons, which followed him.

    Judges 11:3

Then Jephthah fled from his brethren, and dwelt in the land of Tob: and there were gathered vain men to Jephthah, and went out with him.

    1 Samuel 12:21

And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.

    1 Samuel 25:21

Now David had said, Surely in vain have I kept all that this fellow hath in the
