The word Ethiopia is comprised of 2 words burnt and face so its meaning is "burnt faced" ie reddish-brown nothing derogatory about the name just the fact they were made from the reddish-brown dust of the earth.All of mankind are very beautiful if you look closely at each one and see the loving hand of our Heavenly Fathers in them.

Everything is n a persons name, spelling & pronunciation. If I change ur name, it's spelling & pronunciation-it's not the same.

I know it's different to comprehend but what person n their right mind answers to a name that's not theirs-especially if they never changed it or authorized anyone else to do so.

The promise is n His name and by no other name-period.

We are seated with Christ in the heavens with him as soon as we are saved where we are blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The dead who know nothing at all (psalms) are all those who died before Christ came. Some came out of their graves immediately when Christ was crucified and the earthquake happened. The others will be resurrected when he returns, but we who are saved by his blood go to be with him immediately, exactly as he said it to the believer who was crucified right next to him. Are you alluding to Matthew 19:24 where Jesus says "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God?" I have heard of people mentioning such a gate and saying that this was the gate Jesus was referring to in Matthew 19:24.

This was a common proverb in Jesus' day. It originated in Palestine. And it originated with not a camel, but an elephant, that it is easier for an elephant to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into heaven. By the time it gets to Jerusalem it changed to a camel, and it expresses impossibility.

Some people have said over the years, and I used to believe this also, that the eye of a needle is the gate into the city of Jerusalem. And in the evening time when the large gates close, they keep this little tiny gate open, and it is called the eye of the needle. So that if you bring your camel in, you got to unload him and everything, and you got to push him through, and stuff him through this little hole if you want to get in.

Well, the problem was that as I did some historical research on this, and those gates did not exist at the time of Jesus, not for another 60 years after. So that is not what it is implying here. In fact, Matthew's word is actually a sewing needle. Luke, in his account, used a physician's needle. And you can imagine why with Luke being a physician.

And that is literally what it means. The proverb is meant to express impossibility. If this is not what you are referring to, please disregard.

Why do some preachers teach on( shacking) living together . When the couple do decide to marry they marry for this reason the fear of going to hell and they end up in this terrible relationship that either of them want to be in.

Myself... I wish someone had told me it's not going to work out so long as the other is unsaved. Take her to church with you. You Pray for her to receive Jesus.

God created sex. He also performed the first marriage. You are not Adam and Eve.

You may have met the wrong woman. And the right one is praying for God to bring you to her.

You may hate me for this: but Satan can tempt us with the wrong choice. It takes huge faith to trust in God in these matters.

You should be praying for God to prepare her to receive salvation. Be meek and accept Gods leading and confirmation.

Immerse the affected eye in a shallow container of sterile (salt)saline solution. Water is also suitable if saline is unavailable. While the eye is in the water, blink several times to flush out the foreign object. If the object remains stuck, gently pull the upper lid away from the eyeball to release it.

You need to go see an ophthalmologist and let him get the foreign material out! Make payment arrangements.

Or call the Dept of Health. Maybe they have a low cost clinic.

Do it ASAP. Sometimes Jesus expects us to use doctors that he gave skills to.

Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to assist you.

And then thank Him before you start:

It's probably an eyelash. Put a washrag with 2 ice cubes in it and try to reduce the swelling for about 20 minutes.

Open your eyelid under cool running water under the faucet and let the water run over the eye. Don't rub it. Wait and see if the pain is gone.

You can put a drop of baby oil in the eye to moisturize; but don't rub it. Let the swelling go down more.

Keep your hair clean& away from the eye.

I don't know about the colors. I don't care to hear meteorologists try to explain rainbows like they're nothing. It's Gods Bow and His solemn promise with the earth.

No problem with the miscommunication. As I stated, when I first read where you said Kalos = child, I knew you had to accidentally put that there. I'm sure you already knew Kalos was not the word for child, even though a child can be Kalos (Good), sometimes!

I agree with the King James that Judas "repented himself" but it was not the same repentance required for salvation. The word repent as was used for Judas was not the same word for repent in places where the bible says "Repent and be baptized." This word repent (Metanoeo) is true repentance and is the word that's used every time it is associated with salvation. So Judas repenting himself meant that he was only sorry for his actions.

We don't get that from our English bibles. I think that's where we run into problems sometimes with our English texts. We see a word in English and we automatically attach our English understanding to not knowing the Greek uses a word that means something different than what we understand in English.

I agree fully with the persecution issue. Jesus said we can expect that. But just like Paul, we should count it all joy when we are being persecuted. That's sounds odd, but the way I see it, they are not persecuting me, they are persecuting Christ who lives in me. That's how I know I can count it as joy. And that's why Jesus said, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" Saul was persecuting Christians but Jesus said why are you persecuting me?

And I understand the being zealous part. It never worked too well for me either. I've come to a point in my walk with the Lord where I just sit back and go along for the ride and whatever path He puts me on. I love sailboats (Pictures, models, you name it). They remind me of a time when I was "on fire" as they say, and my motor was running non-stop. But I've since turned off the motor, hoisted up the sail, and let the wind (God's Spirit) take me wherever He might take me.

Paul clearly out-lined the chronology of events in that single verse! "Let no man deceive you" of what? Ans: WHEN Jesus will come again. A falling away by the Church first, second the "man of sin" Antichrist rules, then 3rd Christ returns! 2 Thess. Chapt. 1: 7-10 is very plain... THERE IS NO LEFT BEHIND...The righteous translated and go with Jesus! The wicked dead sleep on till the second resurrection after the millennium, Rev.20:5,7. The wicked living "shall be slain" by Christ's glory! No one lives on earth after the second coming...Secret pretrib. Rapture? Not biblical....A doctrine of Satan..

Read Mark 4 and Luke 4. If you're going into spiritual battle with Satan you will need to find a scripture or confront against what he's doing to you.

This took place in a Upper Room. A prophesy Peter found about Judas Iscariot is discussed by the disciples. They are about to appoint a new 12th disciple.

I believe the Holy Spirit showed Peter of the prophesies about Judas Iscariot's betrayal. Jesus knew of the prophesy; He's God. It would explain lack of closeness with Judas.

The Commentary Page on this website says the prophesy is about Judas Iscariot.

This is one of those studies that you have to read at a snails pace, all of the center column references to get a clearer picture of prophesy with present circumstances.

I believe that we are then given information concerning when the Holy Spirit might speak through us as well as how we are to prepare for it in Mark 13:11

"But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost."

I believe this applies specifically to the end times, but it can also be applied in a general way to the trials and tribulations a person endures throughout their own life, and their desire, or lack thereof, to seek Jesus; similar, in a sense, to your point of view.

Persecution of God's people has never ended since the Fall of Adam. There is, thank God, only one Great Tribulation for mankind to have to go through.

Concerning your understanding of Greek, I am sorry if I sounded condescending. Being zealous has never seemed to help my cause, nor has my built in northeast sarcasm.

Concerning Judas, (and for anyone for that matter), I would rather error on the side of the power of repentance and forgiveness, and again lean on Scripture concerning him being sorry for his actions and taking steps to repair the offence ( Matthew 27:3)

If I am able to make up for an error against my neighbor, I hope that I would make every effort to do so while I am still in this mortal body. James 2:14-26, Revelation 14:13, etc.

First of all you are correct; you never said that the word teknon does not mean "child."

You actually said that the word kalos does not mean child, and again, you are correct.

I am sorry for the misunderstanding.

As far as the topic of repentance, I would refer to the definitions of the two Greek words offered previously, as they are both defined as "repent."

You bring up some interesting ideas about Judas being sorry but not repenting, , but I fully believe the words of Matthew 27:3 to be literal and true on face value; that is, Judas "repented himself."

Concerning Acts 1:18, again, I have never heard of anyone that can commit suicide by cutting themselves open from their Adam's apple to their belly button. That is one tough person. You say that it is possible. I disagree. You do provide interesting theories as well as historical basis to show how this may have happened.

I will offer another. The high priest (appointed by the Roman governor) that falsely accused Jesus likely did not want Judas to remain alive after he threw the money back at them and looked like he was sorry for what he did: So they murdered Judas also.

Your understanding of the unpardonable sin is thought provoking.

I never quite looked at it in that light but can definitely see how it applies throughout one's lifetime in a general way.

I would have to again lean on the Scripture already provided in Matthew 12:32, as well as Mark 3:29 and Luke 12:10.

I really like my coworker. We used to get along very well. Other coworkers said we would make a great couple. Even went on a trip together, but as of lately she has been almost completely distant and cold for no apparent reason. I really need HEAVY prayer please. Pray for her to turn away from her promiscuous ways! I know it can be done with prayer. Pray for us to talk and reconcile our close friendship and turn it into a relationship. She's been hurt a lot I can tell. PLEASE HELP
