Hello Walter, I can remember being baptized (the mode was immersion) because I accepted Christ by faith. Folks clapped when my decision was made. Like you seem to be saying, I lacked power over changing my life from constant sins, I studied the Word and gained knowledge but not peace and not power. I could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit only it was outside of me instead of inside me. Life went on several years like this until I finally reached a point that I felt burdened with sin in such weight that I began crying out in my heart to Jesus for real. I was led to believers whom had power over willful sin. I could see their peace and I wanted it. I learned about repentance at any cost to me and again by faith (happened to be in the back of a box truck at a dock in the middle of the night) I kneeled down and cried my heart out to the Lord. In seconds I had the peace of the Holy Spirit comforting my soul on my inside. This comforter reproves me as I begin to error to this day. Do I want to lose my peace, do I want to return to such a sad position I once was found? The answer is no. Clearly the evil one would like me to stray and many traps have been set, but the Lord guides by His Holy Spirit. My Baptism by water (the mode was pouring) joined me to fellow believers that help by love to be witnesses of Truth that is in them. If I stray, if Satan takes me on a an unplanned trip (say in thoughts, or offense) the Life of the other witnesses speaks to me of my need to repent.

    Naya,

Yes, I did read the scriptures you sent. However, those scriptures do not change my view to match with yours. Here's where we differ:

I do not agree that "no one is in a conscious state after death." The story of the rich man and Lazarus would show me that both were in a conscious state after death.

I do not agree that when we die (Physical death) "our body and soul dies and we're asleep until the appointed time." I believe this is a teaching held by the Jehovah's Witnesses. I believe the physical body (Flesh) will die and be in the grave, and one day we will receive our glorified bodies. But I believe the soul lives on forever. The soul of man will never die, or cease to exist. I don't believe in "Soul Sleep" either.

I don't agree that "Jesus did not finish his ministry." Jesus Himself said, "It is finished right before He died on the cross." If His ministry and work were not complete, what would be our hope for salvation? I do believe Jesus finished His ministry here on earth. I do not believe that any human power could have stopped Him from finishing what He came for. To say that they killed Him halfway through His ministry doesn't make sense to me.

No human power could have taken Him before He completed His work. There was a mob of about 1,000 men who came to take Him after Judas pointed Him out, but even that many men with clubs and swords could not have taken Him if His time to be taken was not then and there. Jesus blew that crowd of men backward on their behinds twice just by the power of His voice. You would have thought that by that time, they would have turned and ran. They couldn't have taken Him no matter how many men came to do it. Jesus surrendered Himself freely. If He was not finished with His ministry, He would not have freely surrendered Himself at that time.

    Thanks again for the conversation.

YHVH or LORD JESUS the CHRIST of GOD ALMIGHTY does work on my time Table. HE comes through at the best time which only HE knows. I thank HIM for answering my prayers. For doing what is right and not what I ask for at times. We need to see what can be done before we go to HIM. This will " thank GOD" all go the way of the BIBLE. Stay in the WORD till the WORD is in you. As we know the WORD took on flesh and was named Yashua. CREATOR GOD saves. Love you all. Bob

There is a valuable lesson to be learned from 2 Kings Chapter 5. Naaman, a might warrior, was full of pride. The little maid, possibly a young girl in her teens, was a very humble servant was willing to share her faith--even with the people who were oppressing her. Her testimony about the God of Israel brought healing and wholeness to the captain of the Syrians; Naaman, on the other hand, almost missed his blessing because the prophet told him to do something he did not want to do. He went away angry, upset that the man of God would dare tell him to dip himself in the dirty Jordan. How many times have we missed our blessing because God told us to do something we did not want to do? Humility is a key ingredient in approaching the God of the universe. Naaman discovered that when he obeyed the instructions of the prophet that God healed him. It is a very powerful lesson. Obedience and humility are the keys to our miracles.

I have been baptized twice, went under a sinner came up a sinner both times. (The sinner on the cross was saved by the spoken word of Jesus.) I still sin. If I were baptized again I dont think I would stop. I find no good thing in me except the word (the truth). We read that we must believe God exist (the devil believes and trembles) but also believe He is the rewarder of thoes that seek Him. I seek Him in the Word, The Word convicts, I repent," The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart- These, O God, You will not despise." I do not want to spend eturnity with out salvation. I would be like the ethiopian, just let me find a preacher and some water. I am not being argementive, truly seeking answers, the Truth! I read "Thy Word Is Truth" and "you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you free" I take that free from sin. Yet I find no good in me. (just sayin) Is there no hope for me?

Do I need a foot wahsing every day? I go out in the world every day I sin, I come to Jesus and pledge forgivenes.

thank you for your wittness still surching. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me.

There is so much you can be doing :D

Jesus will surely take notice of your obedience and love for His people:

Bless yourself and find joy in the process.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:

Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

    *****

Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?

When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?

Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?

And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, YE HAVE DONE IT UNTO ME.

You're like me. So many Relatives and family That have gone to heaven. I don't know if you're in an apartment or house; but there is someone close by who would love a ray of sunshine in their life. I was going by nursing homes to pray with people who are shut in and have no family. I don't know if nursing homes are closed there?

It helped me to just sit and listen to their stories or to just read some happy Psalms to them.

Before my Dad died, I went every day to take him food I had cooked; and I fed him his dinner.

Consider befriending some neighbor that you know is shut in pretty much. They love cookies that we make :D. They're lonely too. I'd start looking forward to it.

Actually you are doing what Jesus asks of us: to visit the sick, the prisoners of their lonely homes, cookies with a note that says

"Come and taste the goodness of the Lord".

Don't be afraid to follow Jesus.

Call your State Attorney Generals office. If you type that into Maps in your phone it should bring up a phone number. This needs to be reported and they will investigate. They do not reveal your name so don't worry.

See if you can do your loved ones laundry yourself. Get a Permanent ink black marker and write the name across the shoulder area. They will not take her clothes anymore.

Ask God if you can have an angel to keep your loved one safe and protect all that Concerns her.

Every time you think about this, stop and give praises to God for Mercy and Grace.

    John 3 (open this link)

Like the pharisee Nicodemus; you must be born again. After that you must ask to be baptized with the Holy Spirit.

There is a great link in this website that will lead you through the steps to become a Christian. There are things we need to understand and agree that we are sinners in need of salvation.

Once you receive the Holy Spirit, He is the one who makes alive, your spirit; and you will hear or feel His leading to get free from past things that hold you back. He'll help you recall things and you go to 1 John 1:9, to give those things to Jesus and receive his cleansing of those memories.

If you are strong enough to fast 21 days, you will be a great witness for Jesus. You can have as much of Jesus's love that you desire in your soul. Song of Solomon 3:16,

    6:3, 7:10

Mishael, I just realized you're speaking of what I've said in regards to Revelation 21. I've been conversing with Jesse so much on here, I can't remember how it got started.

Mishael, no offense taken at all. Not that my cup is so full that I have no room to learn, but on the things that I have posted, I have studied over 20 years and I'm pretty solid that it's sound. And everything I posted I laid out scriptures I got it from.

I'm not sure what specifically you're speaking of that I've said which you find to be scrambled, but I have no problem waiting whatever it is out until the day the Lord Returns to clear it up.

Again, no offense taken. Thanks for your input though.

Jesse, well, on Rome you will have to research history, deep into history and encyclopedias and match it with Bible history. You're sure to find what I have said is true if you do. A lot has to do with the Ten horns and what they represent dating back to the defeat of the Herulians, Vandels, Ostrogoths, Justinian and even Napolion, and so forth. It's Revelation 13 stuff you have to use world history with to piece it together. I would be writing and replying until the coming of the Lord if I went further into it. But I guarantee it's Rome. So I say to you just keep studying everything. Pray for more understanding, etc.

You said it's too hard to keep the 10 Commandments??? Those are the very commandments mentioned throughout the bible that will assure us eternal life if we "strive" to keep them. You see I say "strive" because we're human. We cannot give up and say they're too hard to keep. What's so hard about not stealing, lying, committing adultery, coveting, keeping the Sabbath day holy, not worshipping idols and other gods, etc.? The first 4 commandments show us how to love God, the last 6 commandments show us how to love our neighbor (the way God instructed us to love our neighbor). So the 10 commandments is the law of love. As long as we're trying to keep them, we are showing love to God and our neighbors spiritually and physically.

Now, there are other ways outside of that...but those are our basics. I think the only one most Christians have a problem with is the 4th Commandment. But I'm not trying to go down that rabbit hole. I gotta work out my own salvation with fear and trembling.

The goal is to do what's required to make the First resurrection.

And I forgot, yes, I agree the second resurrection is for the Lake of Fire; however, they still must be judged at the Great white throne judgment.(Scary) I plan on and hope I'm a spirit being doing the judging by then.

    Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

Psalms 22:16-18 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9:5-7 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

    Isaiah 11:2-9 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

John 4:25-26 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Messiah came. On the day he was crucified, well over 100 prophesies about him had bee fulfilled. You compare those prophesies with the recorded historical account of that time.

Jesse, I realize the spirit goes back to God who created us. Keeping in mind our "spirit" in us is "the breath of life" that keeps us alive. We are the souls, and we have fleshly bodies. The breath of life is the spirit God breathes into our nostrils. However, the scriptures I posted were to show that no one is in a conscious state after death.

So it's like no individual person with a spiritual body is up in heaven right now.

When God breathed into Adam's nostrils, Adam became a "living soul"...without the breath of life he was a "dead soul." So we die, our body and soul dies and we're asleep until the appointed time.

I did not get the impression that you were implying that the body was in heaven at all. I was just making sure you understood that Paul himself, even as a spirit, conscious and alive, is not in heaven right now. Especially since everyone will get their spiritual bodies at the Resurrections. The soul dies, the body goes back to the dust, and the spirit/breath of life goes back to God. No consciousness until the Return. I think we're clear now.

Correct, Jesus did not finish his ministry because he was killed in the midst of the week.(a Wednesday) on the Passover which was in the midst of the week that year. He was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights which had him rising at the end of the Sabbath, just before it dawned towards Sunday. He was out of the grave before Sunday.

When he returns, he will teach Israel in the wilderness 3 1/2 yrs and finish his ministry. This will be mortals (Israel). I explained Jesus came to testify of what was written in the Old Testament. Did you happen to read over the scriptures I replied with?

I say "Israel" as opposed to Jews because Jews in the biblical term really meant someone was from the tribe of Juda. Israel encompasses all 12 tribes. But I guess you're saying Jews to mean all of the children of Israel?
