I am an old woman with the spiritual life of a child of Jesus. This life began as a little child. And was fostered in a devout family of believers.Life has had many twists and turns. My heart was broken when my spouse left me with our three children to raise with only a court ordered amount of money. But with God's help I studied nursing and worked for many years across the spectrum of hospitals and nursing homes. My children worked their way through colleges-paying for it themselves also... by working while there.Their marriages are 25 year+long. Their careers in the Law and related to medicine are stellar.GOD saved us.By Faith He led us all home! The Bible is the Spiritual knowledge we all need to read and live to be at peace.

Lol, What scriptures am I twisting around? I'm only reading it as it says and not adding anything too it, others do that (your adding -"from the serpents wrath"). Precept must be upon precept, line upon line, here a little and there a little. What you say only confuses things further - its been said that in the future - (last days), the "Anti-Christ" will appear, so since you say that the serpent in verse 14 is that "Anti-Christ", your placing this verse to happen in the future but wait...America is "nourishing" - funding Israel (the land mass) now so does that mean the "Anti-Christ" is here now? In other words, is America nourishing Israel from the serpents wrath now? How could that be if the serpent is not here yet? Smh

Lastly, we know that serpent and dragon are the same thing based on verse 12:9, so where does John pull this similitude from, the old testament Job 30:29 - I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls. Job, an Israelite, calls his brother a dragon...who was Jobs brother, Esau - Malachi 1:3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness - GOD calls Esau "dragons of the wilderness". Notice here that the serpent or dragon as spoke of in the old testament refers to more than one and not one single man but many men or a nation such as Esau that was a man in the beginning but spawned a prominent birthright nation of people as God told Abraham and Sarah.

    Did Samson commit suicide?

Judges 16:28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

Judges 16:29 And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left.

Judges 16:30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.

Hebrews Chapter 11:30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.

31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.

32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and [of] Barak, and [of] Samson, and [of] Jephthae; [of] David also, and Samuel, and [of] the prophets:

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,

Samson killed himself along with the Philistines and he is in the Hebrews faith chapter.

    Hello, have you read this?

    John 10:30

To me, while there's some separation because of their names, it says they "are one" that means they are one and unified as a being or entity. Therefore Jesus is God too. He has the powers and checks all the other boxes of a divine being but is not God the father. I personally don't know how this verse can be interpreted any other way. In other verses it shows them unified with the Holy Spirit too so that's how people come to understand the concept of a trinity.

    How is Jesus God?

    God is God.

Jesus is the SON of God.

When Jesus called His Father "God" He was referring to Psalms 22, which He was teaching to the people present there. He was not complaining.

Jesus was NEVER forsaken by God.

What do we do with all Scripture that speaks of BOTH the Father and the Son? Matthew 11:27, 16:27, Mark 8:38, 13:32, Luke 1:32, John 3:35, Galatians 4:6, Hebrews 1:5, 1 John 4:14, etc. etc. etc.)

Scripture does not say "In the name of the Father, the Father, and the Holy Ghost." Matthew 28:19

    Richard,

Yes, there will be an opportunity for salvation during the Tribulation Period. Just like Mishael says, there will be evangelizing during that time. God's mercy and grace will extend during this period. And there will also be an opportunity for salvation during the 1,000-year millennial reign of Christ. That's how far God's grace extends.

During the first 3-1/2 years of the Tribulation Period, there will be two witnesses walking the streets of Jerusalem preaching the gospel. Many believe, as do I, that these two are Moses and Elijah. There will also be 144,000 Jews, 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel who will be preaching the gospel. Also, there will be an angel flying mid-heaven non-stop for 3-1/2 years warning people not to take the mark. So the whole world will be reached during that time. Those left behind will be without excuse. They will not be able to stand before God and say "we didn't know." However, they will have a chance for salvation.

If there were no chance for salvation during the Tribulation, why would God's plan be to send two witnesses, 144,000 Jews evangelizing, and an angel flying in mid-heaven warning people? If people cannot be saved during that time, what would be the purpose of preaching the gospel? It would serve no purpose. I mean, why preach a gospel message of salvation if it's impossible for people to be saved?

I truly believe we are living in the last days and times. People of lovers of themselves- selfies. Days and nights are full of fear- Anxiety and depression. People have been given over to a reprobate mind in man woman relationships. Children have turned against parents even with striking and cursing them. Everyone wants to be their own boss no one wants to be told what to do on jobs. Form of godliness all the different religions and spirituality that excludes our true God and his son Jesus. I am a mental health professional and my prayers are for our families and this earth.

    Eric,

Well-spoken concerning LAW of God NOT being abolished!

Specific ordinances from the Law were fulfilled and no longer needed, not the entire Law (Hebrews ch. 9, Ephesians 2:15, Colossians 2:14).

It was only certain ordinances that were taken out of the way ( 1 Corinthians 11:2).

The Law of BLOOD SACRIFICE (circumcision, Passover lamb, goat of atonement, etc.) has been taken out of the way, and the right to worship in the Temple in Jerusalem has been replaced by we who make up the body of Christ. We are His Temple.

I don't understand how people say that the Law is no longer needed.

We are all under the 10 Commandments.

Everyone that sins needs the Lawthat's everybody, every day.

Acts ch. 15 did simplify the requirements for the Gentiles. BUT, that was for NEW Gentile converts and was the BASICS of what they were to follow. The more they understood, the more they could handle.

Acts 15:19-20 "WE TROUBLE NOT THEM, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood."

The basics, until they come up to speed.

Everybody that uses Colossians 2:16-17 as their belief that the Law is abolished should understand that this also concerned those that were newly converted GENTILES.

That is why Paul says "Let no man therefore judge you"

    We are not the judge.

Jesus gave a detailed discourse about the Bread of Life to the same multitude who had just partaken of the five barley loaves and two small fishes. Throughout His ministry, Jesus was teaching the people that He had been sent from God to carry out the will of the Father. He taught that He alone is able to satisfy the hungry soul and provide for our bodily needs. He was proclaiming to be the promised Messiah, Who had come in fulfilment of Scripture. Jesus wanted to show... that just as He was able to heal all their sicknesses and provide for their physical needs, He is also the One Who could heal the broken soul, release them from the slave-market of sin, bind up their emotional distresses, bring inner peace and joy to their heart. Jesus alone is the One that can supply the spiritual food, every one of us so desperately needs. Jesus often used the natural to illustrate a spiritual truth, and the feeding of their bodies with food, was used as a demonstration of what He could do for them in the spiritual realm. Jesus referred to Himself as 'the Bread of Life' to emphasise the lesson He wanted them to learn. 'I am the bread of life", He told them. "No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever thirst again.

Jesus told this crowd the truth, when He called Himself 'the Bread of Life'.. for in Him was Life. In Him was Life everlasting. He was the Giver of Life, and He is the Sustainer of Life. When He referred to Himself as 'the Bread of Life', He was meaning spiritual Life - eternal Life. He came to bring hope for the lost, joy for the sorrowing, strength for the weak and encouragement for the downhearted. And He came to supply spiritual food for the hungry soul. Jesus came down to earth from heaven, to breathe new life into those who were dead in their sin and estranged from God.

The Lord Jesus did not simply come to sustain their physical life but to give eternal life, and this was the vital message. And so be it.

So much to say here, it was just so amazing that God doesn't take pleasure in the death of a sinner. He called all men to repent. You can see the love of God in the two last verses of chapter 22, despite the anger of God upon their evil works.

In verse 30. God still looked for a man that can stand in gap for them just as Abraham did in the book of Genesis for his nephew Lot and his household against distruction of Sodom. But God couldn't find anyone. The bible says in verse 31 they consumed their wrath upon themself.

The lesson for us: We are not supposed to be condemning the situation of others rather we are to be standing in gap for them peradventure the Lord will shew them mercy. SHALOM

Are the souls after death really having no conscious thoughts?

Revelation Chapter 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the SOULS souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: (souls under the altar of God)

10 And THEY CRIED they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? (For being dead the souls are crying out for vengeance.)

When it says the dead know nothing, maybe it is referring to their knowledge of what is happening on the earth?
