In light of God being our Maker and our God, we worship and bow down before Him (verse 6). "The Hebrew word translated worship means literally 'to prostrate oneself.' When bow down, kneel, and worship occur together as in this verse, they amplify each other and call for a reflective, humble approach to God".

I agree and think the same, the rapture is coming. We have fallen and many men have stopped there beliefs in our lord and those of us that hasn't know the truth.

I'm sorry I didn't answer that question. Jesus' mission at that point was to preach the gospel to Israel, demonstrating his power through mighty works. The word "meet" is Old English meaning appropriate or suitable. So he is saying that granting her request would be taking his blessing, reserved at that time for the Jews (the children), his current mission field, and giving it away to outsiders (the dogs).

    Steve Lynch,

    Right on concerning creation.

If people are not aware of three separate and distinct heaven and earth ages ( Genesis 1:1-2, 2 Peter ch. 3), how can they understand the fall of Satan or the RE-setting of the earth after the destruction of the earth in the 1st earth age.

    God does everything perfect.

I don't understand how people think God created the earth a ball of water and needed 6 days to fix it!

I don't think that there is a Scripture specifically on that. Suicide, or self-murder, may fall under the same command from God, "Thou shalt not kill", or wilfully take a person's life. Even though, the intent of that command would apply to the murder of someone else which is sin & damnable, it could well be applied to one who takes his own life. We often hear from suicide supporters that "this is my body & I have the right to do what I want with it". Actually, this body is not ours - it is a gift from God so that our spirits can be housed in it to enjoy God's creation & living a God-centred life (though of course, most keep God out of their lives & minds).

With someone who murders another, as heinous a sin that it is, he still has a chance to repent, be forgiven, be born again & gain eternal life. A person who commits suicide (murders himself) obviously has no chance at all to receive God's forgiveness & so we conclude that he is an unforgiven sinner under God's judgement. But of course, that is God's (not our) final judgement of that person because of the situation he's in, as no person who suicides does it without going through some deep waters in his life.

Ramon, when we see a Name such as Jehovah Tsidkenu, we know that this is a compound Name for God (i.e. God is still One God, but a word is attached to His Name to indicate some special aspect/feature of Him.

So, God's primary Names are: Elohim, Jehovah, Adonai, God/Lord.

His compound Names are: Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Ropheka, Jehovah Nissi, etc. And all these names can be found in the Scriptures in the original Hebrew. They further describe Almighty God.

The compound Name Jehovah Tsidkenu means "The LORD our Righteousness" & you can find His Name revealed in Jeremiah 23:6 & 33:16.

The compound Names for God as El: El Shaddai, El Elyon, El Olam, El Roi.

    Kags,

If the feet of the Messiah do not touch the earth at His return, how do you explain Zechariah 14:4?

"And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south."

Also, if the body of Christ is taken out before the Tribulation, then who are those that endure until the end? ( Mark 13:27, 1 Corinthians 15:52)

He that endureth to the END shall be saved ( Matthew 10:22)

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, ( Mark 13:49)

Are we not told that it "is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully" ( 1 Peter 2:19).

To Vince B on Acts 16: Be careful what you say Vince B. It appears you are "making up" scripture to fit your personal beliefs. Making it sound as though all will speak in tongues when baptized in the Holy Spirit. There are many Christians who stumble and fall, while some even leaving the faith, because people as yourself convinced them that they must speak n tongues as proof of being baptized in the Spirit. I have heard many "tongues" over the years, and have found it a very small number who have been given a "tongue" by the Holy Ghost. From all of what I have seen and heard, I have found that most "tongues" have been conjured up from one's own mind, while others have been given a "tongue" by another spirit not of God. Please be careful and guard your spiritual walk with God.

    Mishael,

ADAM was given the job of dressing and keeping a garden while trying to stay away from the tricks of Satan ( Genesis 2:7).

The animals Adam named was for husbandry purposes ( Genesis 2:18-20). Notice Adam did not name insects or fish because he did not need them to be a farmer.

MANKIND was given the job of having "DOMINION over all the earth" ( Genesis 1:26-28).

The restrainer was the Roman empire. That is why Paul in the letter does not say it but when he was with them in person, he did tell them who it was, read verse 5. And who came after the Roman empire? Who opposes the doctrine of God on earth and declares to have authority even over the Word of God, who declares to forgive sins when they are confessed to him, when only God can forgive our sins. Google the name Vicar of Christ and you will know.

First, the apostles preached to the gentiles, one was Philip with the Ethiopian Eunuch and he did baptise him, Acts 8:26-40. Second Peter to the centurion named Cornelius and his family and baptised them. Peter had the vision with the unclean foods and that represented the gentiles, Acts 10:1-11:18 and also Acts 15:7. The disciples held a meeting in regards to how gentile converts were to live their lives after conversion because of the Judaizers read the whole of Acts 15 and you will see this and stress on verse 23 where the letter reads to be from the apostles to the gentiles. Also read about the Rabbinic Curse. Christ sent His disciples to the world to preach and baptise, Matt 28:18-20.

Read Genesis 37 about the life of Joseph if you want to learn forgiveness from the Bible.

The shack is an book / movie of heresy written by a heretic unbeliever who turned God the Father into a black female.

The actress who played this role has starred in a few occult type shows.

Anything Hollywood promotes you know it will be filth. Just my 2 cents.

    Read the Bible, not Hollywood.

(Saul) who was called Paul by Jesus; was a chosen vessel to preach TO THE GENTILES. That was his turf, although he did travel to meet with Peter.

    Acts 9:15. (Red letters)

But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

If you will Google the Apostles ministry paths and where they met their deaths; they did quite a lot of traveling.

Paul was sent to the Gentiles. Maps of his ministry travels are awesome considering no public transportation.

I'm an old street minister. GO YE means much more than you've imagined.

"Into all the world" can mean any continent or country. Or it can mean: your neighborhood, your city, your state. It can happen anywhere.

Make it a rule to stand on Public Right Of Way (public sidewalks; not business sidewalks)
  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
Kags is right the Holy Spirit is not the restrainer who leaves earth. Otherwise no one would be saved and no one would preach via the Holy Spirit. The resurrection is at the end of the tribulation for those without itching ears.

Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

We are changed at the LAST TRUMP and where is this found?

In REVELATION, the LAST BOOK of the Bible there are 7 trumps and the 7th trump is the LAST ONE and is at the end of the tribulation. there is not a 7th last trump prior to the tribulation.

there is not a last trump prior to the tribulation. Trump and Trumpet mean the same thing.
  • THE RESTRAINER aka The Holy Spirit on Genesis 10 - 5 years ago
    By Mishael

2 Thessalonians 2:7, I believe the Restrainer is none other than the Holy Spirit, or we could say the Holy Spirit working through the New Testament Born again church.

Supporting the idea that the Holy Spirit within the church is the Restrainer, is the fact that the restrainer is referenced both as a thing, and as a person, HE.

Also, the power delaying Satan's masterplan, to unveil his false messiah; must be of God. It makes much more sense to say that the Holy Spirit is curbing the devil, than a political entity or even an angel. The Holy Spirit of God is the only Person with sufficient (supernatural) power to do this restraining. He co-created with God and the Word of God, at creation.

Of course, the Spirit works through born again believers to accomplish this. The church, indwelt by the Spirit of God, has always been part of what holds society back from the swelling tide of lawless living.

At some point, Paul says, the Spirit will STEP ASIDE from His restraining work, allowing sin to have dominion over mankind.

Second Thessalonians 2:7 can be literally rendered, "The secret of lawlessness is already working, only it cannot be revealed until HE WHO NOW WITHHOLDS, disappears "from the midst." I believe this "disappearing from the midst" will happen at the time the church leaves the earth at the Caught Up (rapture) in the clouds to Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will still be present in the earth, of course, but He will be taken out of the way in the sense that His unique sin restraining ministry through God's born again people, will be removed.

It's been done before. (see Genesis 6:3).

  • Believers yoked to Unbelievers Mishael - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 5 years ago
We have the New, better covenant through Jesus now.

    2 Corinthians Chapter 6:14-16. *****NT

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

And what concord hath Christ with Belial (Satan) or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel (someone who does not take care of their family).

And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

We're not fighting against "ITES" i.e. Hittites, Jebusites, Amorites, etc

This is New Testament and the concern is born again believers being married to, or partying with sinful unbelievers.

That's why our House of Representatives feels safe forcing churches to close for corona virus; but it's ok for bars to open and serve. Who's wrong here? The church or the virus?

God wants us to be born again and saved from the darkening world we live in today.
  • Kags - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
    George, yet 100% accurate.

Some believe it is the Holy Spirit that is the restrainer. But the Holy Spirit has always been here. And He will be here during the tribulation. How else will the 144,000 Jewish believers preach the gospel of the Kingdom during it? And many will believe in that day. The restrainer is the body of Christ ( the church ). God will not pour out His judgement and wrath on His body of believers. It is sad that people think that He will. When He has already showed that He won't with Noah and Lot. Was Lot a righteous man? Yes, because he believed in God. That was his righteousness and that is why God saved him from his judgement on Sodom. Learn from the past
  • Mishael - In Reply on Isaiah 13:10 - 5 years ago
Nowhere. Adam had dominion over everything except other humans.
  • Kags - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
Chris, the rapture is not Christ coming to the earth. We will meet Him in the air. He does not come down and touch the earth. And the tribulation is the wrath and judgement of God on the earth. Believers are taken away before this cause God will not pour out his wrath of judgement on his body of believers.

Paul told us to comfort one another with these words. How is it comforting to know that we are going to be going thru the judgement of God during the tribulation? That is a contradictory of scripture if you believe that.
  • Kags - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
John Madden, If the Holy Spirit lives inside of every believer, then how can the Holy Spirit leave to let the antichrist come and do his business? The body of Christ is the restrainer. God will not pour out his wrath on His body of believers. Did he pour out his judgement on Noah? Or on sinful Lot? Nope

It saddens me to see that people think that God is going to pour out His wrath and judgement on his believers. When He has shown us that He won't do that. Think about it
  • Kags - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
So who is the restrainer that keeps the antichrist from coming right now? Cause the antichrist would have been here all along if it wasn't for the restrainer that God has put on the earth. So who is the restrainer?
  • Kags - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2 - 5 years ago
This is how I read it as well. The restrainer is the body of Christ. God will not pour out his wrath on his body of believers. Did God pour out his wrath on Lot? Did He pour it out on Noah? No in both cases. Learn from His past judgements.
