James, that's a good observation, for in a quick reading of those verses, it would appear as a conflicting message from Jesus. However, when we look at what Jesus was referring to when He said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (vv 28,30), He was speaking about what the Jews had placed upon them. All Jews were subject to the Pharisees' & Scribes' teaching & interpretation of the Law. However, in their zeal & desire to keep the people subject to them, they added their own 'extra' requirements to the Law making the burden the people had to bear far too heavy. ( Mt 23:4)

This was particularly evident concerning observance of the Sabbath. The religious leaders opposed Jesus & His disciples for plucking ears of corn to satisfy their hunger ( Mt 12:1-8), or when Jesus healed a man on the Sabbath ( Mt 12:10-14). The Pharisees imposed their own laws onto that one to condemn Jesus for what He did but He gave them an appropriate reply.

We all have to pull our yoke through life with its burdens. The Jews had the Law to obey, which was burdensome in itself with all its regulations, obligations & ceremonies, but these leaders wanted to make it more so. When Jesus said that "His yoke was easy & His burden light", He was trying to get them to see that it was, for example, "The sabbath that was made for man, and not man for the sabbath" ( Mk 2:27); He wanted them to see the spirit of the Law rather than the letter. His requirements were always for our blessing & comfort & for the Christian (after His resurrection), the apostle Paul wrote about the liberty we have: "Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage." ( Gal 5:1). And this liberty was not for us to do anything we wanted (as some Christians believe), but free to obey the spirit of the law by the strength & indwelling Holy Spirit which is not burdensome.

    You did good!

Sometimes I feel like a twisted voice crying out in the wilderness. In the prayer request room I saw that people are being oppressed from lack of knowledge. I asked the Lord what I was to do.

For so long, people ask why God is letting all the bad things happen. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. One of satans names: Destroyer.

I'm praying for people to get sick of watching dance shows, talent shows, super strength shows: to hate the superficial poison of people who only love the money. To me it looks like a spider that drains its victims dry. My heart aches for people always watching other people on YouTube. Even little children. I'm learning war. They will be Left Behind and I can't bear that thought.

Cling to Jesus. Worship His Holiness.

Did you know? The air of heaven is Faith.

Yes, stay true to your belief that Adam's wife was Eve. What you have been told by others is wrong, as that information (that Lilith was Adam's first wife) is based on some Jewish folklore that Lilith was created from the same clay as Adam & this legend developed further over the Middle Ages into various stories.

The Bible teaches us that God created Eve from the rib of Adam ( Gen 2:21) not from clay & the biblical account of their sin & that sin passed on to succeeding generations, can only be found in the God's Word. Only in the Bible can we find & learn of true history of those days, so keep reading it to learn more about God & his requirements for you.

John, the possession of humans by evil spirits is very real. Even when looking at examples of this in the Bible, where Jesus dealt with them (e.g. Luke 4:33-36; Mark 9:20-27; Matthew 17:14-18; etc.) we know that this demonic activity was very much evident in those days as it is in ours. As Mishael has warned, that fooling around with occultic practices, even laying open our minds by use of drugs or pursuit of demonic religions, makes one highly susceptible to demonic possession, or oppression.

My personal experience of one such occasion was when sharing in a Bible study in another country. My passage was actually on 1 Peter chapter 3, sharing with families in that respect. So, it was a study not essentially on the Cross or victory over Satan, etc., yet a lady in our midst appeared overcome with heaviness (sadness on her face) & later began to shake a little & then uncontrollably. I thought it weird given the passage of Scripture being looked at, but had later come to realize that when God's powerful Word is opened & read, then the spirits are also troubled. Indeed, "the devils (i.e. demons) believe & tremble" (Js 2:19). That woman wasn't shaking because of an affliction or being moved by my teaching: those which possessed her were agitated at the reading of God's Word. The end of that, was that my indigenous brother took charge & dispatched that evil spirit from out of her. She fell onto the bench she was sitting on & later recovered smiling & joining us in sweet fellowship, being freed from her torment. After some days, we visited her to see how she & her family were doing: and PTL they were all overjoyed in her release & being normal & useful in the home.

I just share the above to give you a personal witness of such things that go on all the time. Evil forces surround us, many succumb in different ways, but to the child of the Living God, he walks on with joy & confidence, knowing that "greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world (Js 4:4).

You have given pertinent Scriptures to support the believer's constant struggle against falling away. And I suppose that whatever Scriptures we offer, we can always find support for our views through them. So, it's only when I can stand on a firm basis (in Scripture) that I can then proceed to other Truths from there. Then I ask myself: that if portions like Ephesians chapter 1 show that we have been "predestined unto the adoption of children", does this Scripture make any allowance for error in Paul's teaching or indeed, God's Work, or maybe it has another meaning or even my misunderstanding of it?

My belief is that this Scripture is not just for those who are called to be apostles or the giants in faith, but to ALL who are the purchased possession of God according to His Own choosing. Can I then even presume that what God has ordained, would have an iota of chance of being lost back into the world of evil? If then, God's choosing & predestining of our lives are without the possibility of fault, then what should we make of those other Scriptures (as you quoted) that warn believers ( Phil 2:12): "to work out (practise the full demands) of your salvation with (in) fear & trembling"? Do such Scriptures then speak of the possibility of a loss of salvation or could they be warnings to believers to not become slack in their faith or even syncretize it with any other teaching, or else there would be punishment & suffering, even death: yet "he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire". Maybe it would take a great persecution or even the prospect of an agonizing death as a result that would divide those who have loved the Lord more than their own lives from those whom the Lord will find no pleasure in.

Hi John, it has been good chatting & going through your valuable comments. As I read them on Page 1, I could see a brother who desires most of all to be faithful to his Lord in every area of his life. And that, in truth, is what is expected of us & when we falter, the Spirit within immediately steps in to teach us, correct us & bolster our faith & resolve. This blessed work of the Spirit is what I cling on to, as it's not only proof to our hearts of God's Love & indwelling, but the 'sufficient' Grace given when needed. And I'm sure your faith will stand in the most testing of circumstances & that the Power of God will be revealed in you to maintain that bold stand.

I've personally experienced this while serving in Pakistan, when His Power & intervention were mightily seen during times when our human resources had long expired & circumstances well beyond our control. Those were experiences that can't be shared here, but were those that cause us now to have great confidence in Him & thrust out against the Enemy in his territory. In the West, the Enemy is the same but what we may be called to stand against, might be different - for now.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth : Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours : and their works do follow them. Revelation 14:13. All we need to do is live with Jesus Christ by keeping His commandments. If we live in the Lord we will die in Him. No confusion at all.

Yep. People in the Occult, Reading Horoscopes. Tarot Cards. Fortune Tellers at the circus or phone psychics. Pornography. Sorcery is the practice of doing drugs, dope, alcohol; buying Wiccan love potions or other injectable products; strong belief in Halloween type magic.

Then there's the full on satanists: with their book of shadows. It ain't good. There's thousands of ways to part human beings with their cash. There are levels in satan that can do things to people who opened the door for them to come in.

There are wicked human spirits: people who give use of their spiritual bodies, so the demon can murder. Satan owns their souls.

If a person has not received Jesus Christ to be their Savior; been born again and received the Holy Spirit... they have no protection from the demonic realm. Nothing but the Holy Blood of Jesus Christ can save us; protect us; protect the family; protect those that we love.

I'm not a deliverance minister but I've survived an attack. The Blood of Jesus is more powerful than you may know. Angels (big ones) are real. Everything the Bible teaches about this is absolutely Real.

We already are able to see a demonically driven crowd on tv, destroying everything in their path. Steal, Kill, Destroy, Violence, hatred. It was the same kind of crowd that screamed for Jesus to be Crucified!!

Barabas was a cold blooded killer and that is who got to go home that day.

The Good News is that Satan thought he was finally going to see the Son of God die on a Roman Cross! He exulted in every moment of Jesus's pain and then His death. He even had the Romans post a detail of guards outside the Tomb. Satan was just about to go to a party when the stone rolled away! Jesus stepped out and smiled.

How much does Satan hate people? Lots.

Don't dabble in the black practices. Get saved. Idols are doorways. Get rid of it.

The Sabbath day was the day that God designated as the day that the Israelites would not be doing anything else but praying and worshipping Him. With respect with Israel time The sabbath was from 6pm Saturday to 6pm Sunday so sometime it is believed by some that the Sabbath was on Saturday while others believed it was Sunday.

Jesus Christ fulfilled the Sabbath day, He is the Master of the Sabbath.
  • Mishael on Sabbath Church What is what - In Reply on Mark 2 - 5 years ago
    Matthew chapter 12

For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue (Church)

And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him (Jesus) saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.

And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

Then the Pharisees (Religious people) went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.

Sabbath is a Jewish word that describes the day everyone goes to Church. And he is showing that it can be on any day of the week if necessary.

A Christian church is when everyone comes to pray for salvations and healings; everyone agreeing together and praying for someone to experience the power of the Holy Spirit

Sabbath or Church is for the people...not only the priest or the pastor.

I've been to some churches where half the service is dance-a-thon and not a lot of study. If you aren't learning anything, you might need to google some churches and see what their Tenets Of Faith are. What are their beliefs.

We need BIBLE TEACHING! Not psychology, not marriage restoration; not services that are 50% entertainment where people just sit and watch. Do you catch what I'm saying? It's the people that are the engines that drive some church services. A Pastor that doesn't feed his sheep; produces skinny, unhealthy sheep. They fall into ditches, fall into sin.

This isn't the 80's,90's, 2000-2019. It's 2020. Signs are starting to happen. Jesus is returning SOON. People need to know what's coming on the earth SOON!
  • Lionel - In Reply on Leviticus 1 - 5 years ago
Yes it is true. As a human being, you are a spirit, you have a soul (your mind, will and emotions) and you live in your physical body. What gives you and I thr right to interact here, is the physical body. Look at the physical body as an earth suit just like staying on the moon needs wearing a suit to survive here.

Demonic powers also want to have a way to have influence on this earth. That is the reason why the demons try so much to look for a physical body to work through. So yeah, demons can and do try to possess physical bodies.

That is why you and I must be full of God.

I am not a biblical scholar and can not point to the specific scriptures, my apologies.(Those who can will comment.) But simply, yes, 100%. It is not necessarily the "Hollywood version" either. This is why it is so important for us to follow the word of God. His law. Many things people believe to be normal culture, today, open the doors. Drug usage, the New Age spiritual movement, music, movies, sex addiction and perversion, sin etc. All stemming from SIN. The Bible does offer many accounts. Possession will change a person or cause them to worsen in many ways that are, at times, somewhat easy to "see." Evil spirits want to turn us away from God and his Truth. If you are asking in regards to someone in specific please place a prayer request, here on KJV, for them so that we may pray for them. Prayer is powerful. The good news is God is THE most powerful and has already overcome Satan. It is God that has the authority and power to remove and restore! I sincerely apologize for being vague in regards to scripture and I hope this helps you. God Bless!

The Parable of the 10 Virgins I believe is Symbolic of Purity and the "Church". They were pure, they all was sleeping when the bridegroom came! I believe this represents our sleeping "Church" today! The 5 that was wise brought their oil for their lamps and was prepared and waiting for the arrival of the Bridegroom. The 5 foolish was caught unprepared and had no oil for their lamps! The OIL represents the ANOINTING! The wise was was anointed and prepared and expecting the Beidegroom anytime! He came he took them and closed the door! Dont be caught without the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, you will be left behind, because He will say Depart from me, I never knew you...

A yoke is what a team of burden bearing oxen wear in their harness to pull large heavy loads.

Jesus is saying to take His strength and to give all of your burdens, sickness, depression, substance abuse: and He will pull the load.

I'm not going to elaborate. If we choose to carry the burdens ourselves, He just waits till we admit we need His help.

This is a prayer nobody can pray for you. You have to do it yourself!
  • THE STORY OF TAMAR - In Reply on 2 Samuel 13:20 - 5 years ago
    2 Samuel 13

David loved God, loved his family and loved his country. He was vulnerable through his deep love for all.

Amnon had a dirty old uncle encourage him to pursue Tamar (Absalom's sister). The uncle tells him what to do. Tamar tried to reason with him that as half sister, David might give her as a wife. Amnon only wanted what he'd been whipped into a frenzy for. After the rape, he didn't want anything to do with her. Nobody told David about it. David did not know what was going on, in his own household but he found out. He was angry at Absalom.

Tamar went to live in Absalom's house; in seclusion. Absalom simmered in anger 2 years before he dealt with Amnon.

Tamar is shown in David's genealogy; which is unusual.

Absalom was married? It's recorded he had 3 sons that must have died at birth because they are not in the genealogy. He had 1 daughter and he named her Tamar. She was a woman of fair countenance like her Aunt Tamar. I don't know how long she lived.

Absalom did many many evil things. He raped all of his fathers concubines in full sight of town; and more. 2 Samuel 15

Abdalom died hanging in a tree by his long beautiful dreadlocks. Joab is fetched and he stabs Absalom in the heart with 3 arrows; the troops with him smote and slew him afterwards.

To conclude: the better question is what happened to Absalom's 1 daughter, that he named Tamar. Females were not in genealogies as a rule.

I think David's daughter Tamar died of a broken messed up life. I think In honor of her suffering, he named his daughter Tamar, also. There is no record of the end of her life.

Galatians 3:13 says, CURSED is any who dies by hanging on a tree. Absalom died on a tree. Judas died on a tree. Jesus died on a tree so that WE ALL MAY LIVE ETERNALLY.

He was made a curse for our sakes.

David's psalms represent a lot of heartache over his life, his kids, his choices. He loved large and suffered much.

Hello NOBLES, I can't find in the Bible where it confirms that Paul was ever set free or were pardoned. However, I know some Bible scholars believe he was executed by Nero Caesar 11 Timothy 6,7 "For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.(7) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Paul is by the Holy Ghost speaking of his impending demise. Glory be to God in the highest!! Amen!

Verse 12 "Blessed are all they that put their trust in him."

For a long time now, I've been focusing on my problems, struggles, and fiery trials; trying to manage them in my own power. I have not been trusting God as I am commanded to. I've been living in sin because I have not been obeying His command to trust Him and be at peace.

Recently, I was rebuked by someone very close to me who has been watching me; someone who I'm supposed to have been living my Christian life in front of, and I see more clearly how I've been behaving-like a man without a God. It's shameful, frightening, and cause for joy at the same time. I see more of just how weak my faith really is; how selfish I've been to the people around me. I may know a few things about the Word and even teach it, but I haven't been living it as I ought.

This last part of the verse reminds me that if I will simply trust the Lord, leave all things to Him, lay them at His feet, cast my cares upon Him and walk away joyfully-trusting in Him, I could be a lot happier. May the Lord grant me more of this grace, in Jesus's name-amen.
