You're right. God has not changed in any way. But h sent His son to die, and to shed His blood for our sins. Jesus made the difference. All these things were written for our learning, though we will not literally, be stoned. Yet God's laws he in Leviticus is teaching us how we should live, today even. In your natural innate, God-given mind, you would not have sex with your sister or brother. His laws still stand in such things mentioned. We must discipline ourselves to achieve balance by bringing all our faculties and power under control. The Lord uses a disciplined mind to think clearly and understand His Word and present truth effectively to the world. Why be self-discipline? See 2 Timothy 2:15: Be diligent to approve yourself to God. Let us practice self-discipline. It will be obedience to God. Instead of doing what the people in the world do, we ought to be exposing their evil. Study God's word, ask for wisdom from above.

The Bible verse is seemingly questionable. Firstly, the Lord said "Come to me, those who are heavy laden and weary. And I shall give you rest". He went on to say, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light". For someone who is heavy laden and again given a yoke (as mentioned above) I think it is unfathomable. You already have burden and to be given another yoke (will surely) increase burden to become unbearable. Is it His miraculous ways that He is implying here or just juggling with words? Can someone please throw more light on my curiosity?

Predestination refers to first Earth age- Genesis 1:1. It was perfect and beautiful. We all existed in Spirit bodies. Genesis 1:2 refers to the destruction of the first Earth age. It will take too long in writing to explain so I refer you to YouTube. Three world ages Shepherds Chapel. Find out about the elect. Those that stood with God ago lucifer. This is the mystery that Paul writes about.

Born AGAIN does not refer to the first birth or our Lord would not have said AGAIN. Born of Water in baptism in water or Paul would not have said repent and be BAPTISED for the remission of your sins and Ye shall receive the Holy Spirit. Blasphemy of our Lords Spirit is the only unforgivable Sin. If we don't walk in Our Lords Spirit to Follow in our Lords WAY...We will be told depart from me Ye workers of iniquity, I never knew you... Because man has both a physical and a divine nature, we face choices everyday. In any given situation where a choice must be made we rely either on our physical selves to respond or on our divine selves to respond. God is letting his people know that a separation between the two natures must observed at all times. The physical nature must never dictate to the divine nature. This would cause the divine nature to weaken and die over time. Following the divine nature would require God to provide us with guidance when making choices. His people are not allowed to see his divine nature; but He does provide Moses with laws to guide us.

This is what happened in Eden. Eve (the physical) convinced Adam (the divine) to join her in discovering that which would make them a god. This discovery caused them to hide their nakedness from the LORD God, and led to Adam's eventual death. This conflict exists throughout the Holy Bible. Cain and Able, Sodom and Gomorrah, Noah and the Ark, Pharaoh and Moses...Our ongoing conflict between the divine and the physical; joined but separate.

The keys of the kingdom are, i believe the gospel that is preached. Our acceptance, an faith in the word (looses)us from the bondage Satan as had us in, an if we reject the gospel preached to us

then we remain (bound), an in bondage. Jesus came to set the captives free, but the choice remains yours if you want to to be loosed . Peter preached in the day of Pentecost an 3000 were loosed from bondage that day. Every Sunday the gospel is preached and there are those who believe and are loosed an others will walk out still in the bondage they came in with because they refuse the gospel.

    Chris,

    Page 2

I read verses such as 2 Peter 3:17 which directly states

"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things BEFORE, BEWARE lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, FALL from your own stedfastness."

And, to use your verse pointed out; "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" ( Philippians 2:12): Why would Paul say this to his followers if he did not mean it?

So then; "Let us "Study to show ourselves approved unto God ( 2 Timothy 2:15) and "LABOUR therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief" ( Hebrews 4:11).

The clothes that we wear in heaven can be seen from Revelation 19:8; as the clothes (white robes that WE have washed) put on there are woven from the righteous acts we perform here on earth.

My point concerning death is simply that when we die our body returns to dust and our spirit returns to God. I don't believe that anyone in heaven that is with the Father (on the right side of the gulf) is walking around without any garments on.

If we believe Christ rose, then so does everyone else that dies.

Matthew 27:52-53 was a onetime event to show to all living at that time that Christ defeated death (look at 1 Corinthians 15:54-55, Hebrews 2:14).

Death is another name used for Satan.

    Chris,

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions as well as your thoughts on the matters being discussed.

I would tend to agree with most of your thoughts concerning being saved. But I look at it from this point of view. Those that are predestinated, and chosen, and accepted, etc such as Abraham, Enoch, Moses, etc. are saved because God said so, as many of the verses you offer supports. We have examples of them throughout Scripture (whether they wanted to do the will of God or not i.e., Jonah or Saul / Paul). And I agree, it is only Jesus and God that truly know you are saved, man does not. Neither God, nor Jesus, nor the Holy Spirit, has revealed to me that I have been chosen, or have become acceptable, etc

I would like to believe that I have been predestined, and already saved through my steadfast belief in The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

I feel very blessed throughout my lifetime.

I want to believe that I have an unshakable faith that can withstand all the horrors that can be inflicted upon myself and my family and my friends.

I realize that I have had to fight for none of the religious freedoms I currently enjoy.

I have never been truly tested; life or death to be a Christian; as in other parts of the world today.

I feel as though I need to contend every day for the faith that was once given unto the saints ( Jude 1:3).

I pray that I can withstand the fiery darts of Satan if and when the time comes.

I know that if the end times weren't shortened by Christ Himself, even the elect would not be saved ( Matthew 24:22).

Hebrews 6:9 concerns the hope / confidence / trust that the beloved in Christ will not falter; but for those spoken of in Hebrews 6:6 that were once enlightened, and have now fallen away; Hebrews 6:8 is their final end.

He expresses God's faithfulness (vv. 1-3) - He rests everything on the character of God and on the compassion of God. Let a person invest his faith and trust in the living God and he will find that, when all else fails, God is still in business. Praised God. Amen.

My wife has destroyed our marriage. She thinks she can sin all she wants and God is not watching. She's trying to hide everything. This Psalm tells me that nothing an evil person does is hidden from God and He will repay her for the evil she does in secret. She's living like Gomer in Hosea. God always wins in the end. Glory be to our Father in heaven.

This sad story of Tamar has no ending: she disappears off the scene. She was left destitute & de-flowered & childless without any hope of marriage. Even aside from the wicked Amnon, all of those men, David included, had much to answer for in their debauchery & treatment of women.
  • Urbansumo on Proverbs 3 - 5 years ago
Matthew 24:35 states: "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall no pass away."

Matthew 24:36 states: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." This confirms that Only God - taken literally from this verse, only Jesus' Father knows the end times.

The only confusing aspect to this is that in my KJV this writing is in red which indicates it is Jesus' words, Jesus says "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.", which on the face of it, suggests not even He [Jesus] knows the hour or the day, but we know he does know, because of the Holy Trinity, meaning that the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are one. Meaning Jesus is also the Father, and is therefore God in human form.

Peace and love be with you, Amen

Question 1: Revelation 13 (open this link)

    Question 2: Romans 1

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

    And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Also there is a scripture about men not dressing in women's clothing, and vice versa.

God is not in this lifestyle. You can pray for God to work within their wills to turn and walk away from it. Repent. Receive Jesus's salvation. John 3 be born again. Receive the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT. They'll have to lose their old friends. Follow Jesus. No backsliding ever.

Rom 2:14-16 speaks of the Gentiles (i.e. those who did not receive God's Laws) & their accountability before God as a result. Now, in Paul's day, the Gentiles (Romans/Greeks) had no reference to God's Laws as we have today in our Judeo/Christian cultures, but were subject to their own devised laws. Likewise, those more primitive souls who live in the jungles would either have their own laws or instinctively performed the laws written in their consciences. And these laws, says Paul, either accused them or excused them, making them conscious of errors (sins) in their hearts.

So to the Jew who followed the Law to the letter, or to the Gentile trying to obey the laws given (or, not given) to him, or to the tribal convicted in his own heart, all would be accountable to God for their perfect obedience to them. And we know that none are righteous - not even one, none can keep any law perfectly & none can ever claim to have an untarnished conscience. The only solution to man's failure to keep God's Laws & incurring His penalty, was to have faith in His Son's redeeming work at the Cross. Without that type of faith it is impossible to please God & impossible to be saved from His righteous Anger against us. And that is why, Jesus commission in Mt 28:19,20 was to reach out into 'all nations' to teach them this Truth so that they might be saved.

I believe that if there is anyone that should stand in trepidation before God, it should probably be each one of us, who have failed in reaching out to someone with the hope of the Gospel.

That scripture refers to Psalm 12:2. You should read all of Psalm 12. It might make more sense. ( open the links)

    1 Corinthians 14:33

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

    James 3:16

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Since it shows a situation of no peace; strife; every evil work...I'm thinking Satan is at work in these situations. He comes to steal, kill, destroy. His mandate.

People who are not born again are at the bidding of Satan.

People fight about all the wrong things. If we open a door, the devil and his demonic hoards will come in and wreck lives, families, health, marriages, steal your children away; and lots more.

We can see in Ephesians 6 (open this link)

That we have permission to fight back, and send the demonic into outer darkness.

I've gone through so much spiritual warfare it just turns my focus into radar. It makes me happy satan is going to be locked up a 1000 years and the on to hell eternally.

If you don't know that much go on YouTube. Lots of spiritual warfare preachers, praise God. Point is: get up off the floor and fight back at the source of evil.

I was stalked 3 years over 3 states. I quit running; turned to face the evil and sent that person running at a high rate of speed.

    Hate sin, Love God.

John, if I might respond to you once again.

I think I understand your point: "that God's Grace to all meant that His Salvation has appeared (revealed) to all people". One could look at it this way that all people everywhere have had that grace applied to them. Yet, we know that the Gift of Salvation has been given for all yet also requires a personal response to it in this life & not after death; ( Jn 3:16 "that whoever believes"; Rom 10:13-15 "whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved") are just a couple of portions.

Every Christian Mission, including NTM, will have this burden upon them: 'that unless someone goes out to proclaim this Good News to the unreached, then those people will never hear. And if they don't hear, they will not be able to respond, & if they don't respond to Christ, then they have rejected the Grace of God & bound for a Christ-less eternity". As well, there is nowhere in the Bible that anyone, even the unreached people, will have a second opportunity to stand before God to receive some 'special' respite from going to Hell. Heb 9:27: "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement". There is no second opportunity (even for that "little brown man"), nor purgatory, between now & eternity.

    Romans chapter 1

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Comment: People have been given the ability to learn through natural things that Someone had to of made all this.

Benjiman, as you know, the books of Exodus & Leviticus contain a huge amount of laws pertaining to every area of an Israelite's life, religious, social & personal. They were to march into the Promised Land, a land filled with heathen idol worshippers. They were to conquer the land that the Lord had given them, possess it, but not to become a part of their evil lifestyle. So many of these instructions given to them, had implications as to their behaviour given that it would be easy to conform to foreign patterns, sometimes unknowingly.

The Scripture you cite, is a part of that warning: not to cut the flesh for the dead & not to print marks on the body. Other warnings about special cuttings of the beard & head of hair, eating food with blood, prostitution & wizardry, were some other aspects of heathen life that were to be shunned.

Some heathens practised cutting of the flesh for the dead in response to the soul's departure, whether as a mark of respect or some type of propitiatory offering to a deity for the soul's destiny. And the marking of the body is similar to the tatoos of today, but not for the same purpose. Again, it was probably done as a religious exercise, in memory of a deity or of some superstition. Any voluntary cutting or disfigurement of a human body was (& is) an outrage to God's workmanship & was intolerable at that time. Sadly, it is now fashionable, to which believers sometimes succumb.

    Titus 2:11-14 NKJV

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

i am of the mind that because of this verse no one needs to go to an eternal hell. i went to new tribes mission with the belief that if the "little brown man in the jungle" did not hear and acceot Christ he'd go straight to hell. well this verse leads me to believe that when the little brown man dies and stands before God. God will ask him if he wants to join Him or go into eternal punishment. this,my theory, let's man off the hook as far as evangelizing the world. i mean who would choose eternal damnation? what think ye?
