So too at the Garden of Gethsemane, the disciples knew that their Lord's time was at hand, & they should have been alert & watchful rather than asleep while Jesus prayed to the Father. It is just like when someone we love is going through a bad patch in their lives, the only two things that we can immediately resort to on their behalf, is to minister to them & be in serious prayer for them. The Lord's Prayer is not applicable for this, but earnest prayer from our heart. This is the correct response in such a situation. Yet, the disciples succumbed to boredom & tiredness while their Master agonized.
1. Luke 17:26-30 tells us in the last days before Jesus returns to Earth, things will go on as normal: just as they did in Lot's time. But all of a sudden God's Judgement will be poured out, as did happen to Sodom & Gomorrah, so the instruction to the Jews not to return back for their worldly goods (i.e. to preserve their lives).
2. There are many references to homosexuality in both the Old & New Testaments. Some of these are: Leviticus 20:13 (& see other verses in this chapter about the detestable acts that God abhors; also Lev chap 18); Romans 1:24-28; 1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:8-10.
In reference to wearing of make-up: even though passages such as 1 Timothy 2:9,10 & 1 Pet 3:3,4 speak about the wearing of respectable, godly apparel & not about putting on of make-up, there are references to it that associate it with harlotry when beauty had to be enhanced to allure the men: 2 Kings 9:30, Jeremiah 4:30. Leviticus 19:28 speaks about printing marks & cutting of flesh which what Israel must not do (as the heathen did).
Likewise, in Jn 1:1-14, we're told that God sent forth His Word into the world (this was similar to His Word that He gave to the prophets to speak to Israel) but now He sends it to His people as the time for dealing with their sins had come ( Rom 5:6, 1 Tim 2:6). But to accomplish the payment for their sins (& ours), God required that every sinner had to pay for his/her sins with death & eternal separation from Him. Yet, because of His great Love for us ( Jn 3:16), & desiring our full restoration, He could have no other option, than to give of Himself for us. So the Word (part of the God-head) He sent out to His people would also be the Word that was clothed in humanity purely for the purpose of dying for us (a substitutionary death), so that we wouldn't suffer. So His Word came, given a body as ours, named Jesus (also called Immanuel = God with us), so people not only heard God's Message & got a wonderful glimpse of the Character & Wisdom of God & most importantly, had the payment of their sins made at Calvary. So when we read that Jesus sits at the right hand of God, He is there as the resurrected ascended Lord, now 'physically' distinct in the God-head because of His humanity, yet in a glorified body: just as we will be when we're in Heaven ( 1 Jn 3:2).
Evelyn, just to add to the other good comments you received.
As you have done, we need to refer to the Scriptures so as to learn a Truth, even though at times it's difficult to humanly comprehend (e.g. a Triune God). According to the Scriptures ( 1 Jn 5:7) there are "there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." There is one God & that one God is fully seen (or, expressed) in His Three Persons (Father, Word & Holy Spirit). Just as if a friend was talking with you, she would just see her friend Evelyn, in front of her. But if she were able to see you in a complete way, she would be aware of your physical (body), your soul & spirit: all parts that make you who you are. So God too, reveals Himself to His creation as the only True God. But unlike us, constrained by the physical & because He is only Spirit without Body, He can perform different functions or works in different places & in different ways.
But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Comment:
Some things have to be believed in FAITH.
A Christian does not have to be drawn into debates about whether God is the Father, The Son is God or the third person of the Godhead is God the Holy Spirit. Each is separate but all 3 are God.
There's a lot written about debates and the fact you and (these) friends are debating the known Truth; tells me that none are reading their Bibles, Chapter after Chapter. You cannot "spot read " and learn any continuity of thought.
Try staying in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John) and see how they all agree in scripture. Which you are doubting.
This is a link. Really read it slow; word by word. John 3.
Back in front of Revelation; Read 1 John, 2 John, 3 John
If you still doubt, you may need to be sure you are born again. John 3. A person can agree mentally about salvation but fail somehow to receive the Holy Spirit; YOUR TEACHER.
These scriptures are of the Godhead speaking to each other. Click on the links:
Genesis 1:26
Genesis 11:7
Genesis 3:22
1 John 5:7
1. What is the Book, Chapter and verse that states " They will be buying and selling" referring to the end times.
2. Where are the scriptures about perversion and homosexuality Lust. There is something in the Bible I have read that said something about make up or painting there faces as the heathen do. I can't remember the verbage exactly but it that is what it referred to.
Thank You and God Bless You for your wonderful service and information.

In a human sense there are several ways to explain God as one.
I am a son to my parents, I am a brother to my siblings, I am a husband to my wife, and I am a father to my children. I am different to each of them, but I am one and the same person.
Let's look at H2O = water. It is one thing, yet it has 3 elements. Also, there is wet liquid, a solid when frozen, and a mist or fog when sprayed. It is 3 in one.
I hope this helps. May God Bless Your Days. Keep reading the Scriptures, and praying, as God will open your eyes to His wonderful being through His Word. He is One.
1. He gives his the gift of eternal life. WHAT A GIFT! We aren't talking a new car, or house, or anything you can get on this earth... we are talking ETERNAL LIFE! Can you even imagine what that will be like! WOW
2. He doesn't pray for those who are not His. This should be very scary for those who don't know Him. Very Scary.
It is not a requirement to honor a particular time of worship because Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." ( Matthew 18:20).
Colossians 2:16-17, indeed the whole chapter, show us that these things pertaining to what is lawful are but a shadow of things to come, Jesus Christ being preeminent.
Galatians 5 declares our liberty in Christ, for if we are justified by law we are fallen from grace. Ironically, the Pharisees worked so hard to maintain the Sabbath that it became oppressive. Many still work to establish their own righteousness, not submitting to the righteousness of God (only found in Christ Jesus) Romans 10.
Hebrews 4 is an excellent lesson on rest for today.
1Corinthiann 13:12
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known
We are being entered into our Father NOW!
Glory to The King of all days
We return with our Lord...in our Lord
1 Thessalonians 2:19
"For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming?"
YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU HAVE OBTAINED!
Philippians 3:14
"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Our Father bless you and lead you to His paths of righteousness for His names sake in Jesus mighty mighty name
May God help and bless us with beauty moment and make all difficult things to be easy for us, may he make things easy for you as well
The dead ; who were left in the street to rot after they were killed by the wicked king, were grateful that one of their country men took them and gave them a burial. He even risked his life to do so. I was never that crazy about the Dead's music , but I sure liked that story. It took a considerable amount of time to find it.
I'm of the humble opinion that if this gentleman did exist, and he did do as the story stated; then-
THE Lord was like" Wow! This guy is so cool that I'm going to put him in my book!"
I dont know... I like this story. I know doesn't it follow the general theme of the of the other books. They point to the messiah, or the nation of Israel, the people. This is story about poor suffering Jew in Diaspora who did something remarkable for his brethren.
