Matthew 5:27-28
Says that if a man looks on a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery with her already in his heart;
How we dress matters to the Lord. At home with your husband, that is private between you both.
Me: I wasn't implying that the Jews or the disciples read the NT - of course it didn't exist. But by what the disciples heard from Jesus during His discourses, including whatever the general populace heard at various times, would have been recalled at the marching in of Titus & his armies. And all the subsequent events that Jesus spoke about would have hung over the disciples' heads as they waited for Jesus' Words to be fulfilled. And all the events that Jesus spoke about in Mt 24 applied to "that whole generation of Jews (all Jewry)" not just those living at that time, & of course, it was prophecy that had far reaching application to the rest of the world.
Then Mt 24:15: "the abomination of desolation, spoken by Daniel" arises. Is it referencing Dan 12:11 or Dan 9:27, or both? You mentioned that Dan 9:27 applied to Jesus Who "causes the sacrifices to cease, etc.", so the mention of the 'abomination of desolation' in Mt 24:15 becomes intriguing.
Those in Judea are to 'flee to the mountains, etc.' ( Mt 24:16-20): reference to the Jews. And after this, there will be Great Tribulation ( Mt 24:11). Of course, this Tribulation hasn't happened yet, unless the rest of us missed it altogether. So all these show me that Jesus was applying His prophecies specifically to Israel, with the broader implications to the rest of us.
Satan is a master of cunning.
He used Eve to drag in Adam.
... and in this chapter, Solomon is beguiled by his foreign wives, to worship foreign gods and their evil practices.
So, the lesson for me is, if Solomon, so blessed by God in wisdom and knowledge, is led astray by the devil.....I must stay vigilant, even after 40 years with Jesus Christ, my Great Lord.
And in these OPENLY godless times, we see the beginning of the days of Noah, as foretold by Jesus, to his disciples.
Satan is smart.Real smart....a true adversary that will try to find your weakness, like a chess Grandmaster.
I get that.
So, the only way around this, is vigilance via the practice of Bible and Pray.
Now, more than ever, as we enter the Book of Revelation times.
My prayers is that it may please God to bless me with a job where I can add values, learn, develop and progress for His name sake.
I believe in His word - that we shall ask that we shall receive, knock that the door shall be open. All Good gifts come from Him alone.

I would say yes. This is a great passage that goes all the way to Verse 11. It says but if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, (meaning it is of God, and the activities in the Old Testament, it's all of God). The commandments were written on stones by God.
They were given by God, so they are glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
Verse 8 says how shall not the ministration of the Spirit be even more glorious? So if what God did on stone was glorious, think about how much more glorious something that is permanent and done by the Spirit of God is.
And then Paul gives another comparison starting at Verse 9 and going to Verse 11. He says for if the ministration of condemnation be glory, (that's the law), judgment, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excels it.
For if that which is done away was glorious, meaning that the law was only served just a certain portion to bring people to Christ, and then after that, it has no more purpose.
If that which is temporary is glorious, much more that which remains, meaning that which is permanent, is glorious.
32"Now then, my children, listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways.
33Listen to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it.
34Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.
35For those who find me find life and receive favor from the LORD.
36But those who fail to find me harm themselves; all who hate me love death."
