Hi Christy, I'd like to share a thought on the last part of your comment too. First, thanks for sharing this- this is not easy to share for some. Secondly, many people deal with social anxiety in social situations so you would not be the only one experiencing that if you go to church. Third, people should not be judging others' appearances and if you feel some may be doing that perhaps you can avoid them. God wants us to fellowship with others and build each other up- that is one of the goals of a church meeting, besides worship and studying His word. Instead of an inward focus, if you think of yourself as a servant with an outward focus and if you attend church to share words of love and encouragement with others to build them up, I think you will feel more comfortable, feel more joy, peace, and love. Think of it as your own assignment working for the Lord and you're showing up to serve. It's a change of mindset. It's not about you or what you look like, it's about showing your love to others. You may have gifts God has blessed you with that can be used to help others. Also, this can be used outside the church too. Maybe doing these acts of love and kindness will make you feel more like you did when you were 15. I hope this is helpful. I took time to share this because I care. May God bless you!

    Hi Christy,

Fear can rob you of peace, but love overcomes fear. 1 John 4:18, John 16:33. So, perhaps a better solution to finding peace instead of worrying about it is to practice loving Jesus, loving others, and loving yourself, then trusting God with bringing peace to your heart. Love can be expressed through a variety of ways and actions. Being a blessing to others can bring joy to your life. Philippians 4:7-13. I think by expressing love you will find peace in your heart. May God bless you!

    Hi Teboho,

I believe praying should be genuine and come from the heart. I think it should not be selfish or materialistic. I think ones motives should be pure in the prayer request, because we are not supposed to follow the world or its riches, but follow Jesus and seek our treasures in heaven, not on Earth. Matthew 6:19-20. God says we can ask for anything through faith- it should be through love too. 1 Corinthians 13:2, Matthew 21:21-22.

Given that info, I think it's ok to privately pray to be able to pay your debts and bills and for job increases and to tithe to help others. I would be careful praying for material possessions, however, because where is the heart? What is the motive? Is the goal to built treasures on Earth or in heaven?

Hope that perspective is helpful. God bless you!

I want peace in my heart. I am so afraid I'll never get it. I'm older now and think about death more. My health is poor and I am 65. I still don't feel peace in my heart. I do have a Bi-polar disorder. My husband thinks that is why I feel the way I do, but wouldn't God give me peace too?

I even am somewhat afraid to read the Bible; fearing that I still will not find what I need. I feel anxious today. Please pray for me, because even though I've had spiritual experiences, ie I truly believed I was saved at age 15. I felt love for everyone and felt clean inside. I don't go to church because I feel awkward around a lot of people. I have gained weight and think my appearance is not all that great.

Faith without work is dead, if we only read, but not put it at work, we are only deciving ourself.

it is foolishness if someone cry for hungry, you give him good word, it is well, god bless you, and then send him home without food.

our god work deep in our heart.

god say, now let us make man in our image, after our likeness,

Nephillim part 1 Who are the Sons of God in Genesis 6 before the flood of Noah?

Sons of God (ANGELS) shout before the world began - Adam man came 6 days later.

Job 38:4 - Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 38:5 - Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it?

    Job 38:6 - Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof;

Job 38:7 - When the morning stars sang together, and all the SONS OF GOD sons of God shouted for joy?

How can the sons of God be men since they were shouting for joy when the earth was created?

Adam man did not come till 6 days AFTER the earth was made.

Adam was a Son of God since he created him -

Angels are SONS of God since God created them and was their Father

Jesus is the only BEGOTTEN SON of GOD -

Believers DO NOT become Sons of God till they are born again of the Holy Spirit only in the new testament

So were all the SONS OF GOD of Genesis 6 the men who were ALL righteous?

the DAUGHTERS OF MEN were all women who were ALL wicked and evil?

So all the men were godly and the women were evil ?

Really can we believe this: all the men were godly and the women were evil

then the godly men and wicked women got married and believers and unbelievers had children who were GIANTS

so where are these giants today? Playing for the NBA?

2 Samuel 21:20 - And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.

so see any unbelievers running around with 6 fingers and toes?

then the Lord commanded all the they be killed

1 Chron 20:4 - And it came to pass after this, that there arose WAR WAR WAR at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued.

21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.

Note: GOD seriousness is so great about the destruction of this Babylon, therefore HE allows HIS angel to go into specific details for us to know the destruction will be quick & violently for this Babylon. The Angel gives an example of how quick & violence the destruction shall be, see verse 8, 21; example; imagine a giant 20,000 pound stone /rock being dropped into the ocean from an airplane; it will hit the water with a very powerful force and very quickly disappear, sinking to the deepest part /bottom of the ocean to never be found again.

Though this Babylon /a evil system is forever destroyed, all us who rightly applied John 3:16-21 is secured, thereby Shall be at the Marriage Supper Of The Lamb.

Nephillim part 3 we the Canaanites / giants like Goliath just evil people like the rest of us?

Zephaniah 2:5 Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.

So please explain, with a wealth of Bible knowledge, why God commanded Israel to exterminate all the Canaanites and the giant Phillistines (Goliath and David)

Deut 20:17 - But thou shalt utterly destroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee:

    Num 21:3 - And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites;

and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.

Why did the Lord not tell Joshua to please send evangelists to tell them the ways of the Lord?

No, instead the Lord commanded they all be killed.

Zechariah 14:21 - Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts:

and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein:

and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

NO QUOTES FROM ENOCH or anything except the Bible

Read again...no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

The view of the sethite Adamite sons of God makes the Lord sound like a homicidal maniac.............

These verses have nothing to do with the Church. Jesus was speaking to His disciples about what it would be like in the days after He leaves for Heaven until the last days during the pouring out of God's Anger. Its immediate reference is to the Jews, as can be seen in verses 6, 12, 20, 21, 24. The Church is not in this picture, as also in Mt 24 & Mk 13. However, in these chapters (discourses by Jesus), there is also reference to the coming Great Tribulation that will affect all the world, with the Anti-Christ impersonating Jesus & also the Wrath of God being poured upon all unbelievers. The apostle Paul in his letters then spoke about the Church's removal prior to the outpouring of God's Judgement, but this was not proclaimed in the Gospel, simply because the Christ's Church did not exist at that time.

Wanda, as you have no doubt read Isaiah from the first chapter, you would have read about the many things that God had accused Judah & Jerusalem about. Their idolatry, meaningless sacrifices, dependence on material wealth, sinning as Sodom did & many more: all these brought on the Anger of the Lord. And their women also became "haughty & behaved in an alluring way" & God would change all that & make them foul. And likewise, the men would suffer loss of life through battle & they together would all become desolate.

So the wearing of jewellery was synonymous to their demeanour which resembled those of the heathen, that which promoted their outward beauty rather than what was becoming of a woman of God (as Mishael well pointed out). The men of course, weren't into wearing jewellery, as it is done these days, but they would suffer under the hand of their enemies. Is then the wearing of jewellery wrong? We must each one decide this in the light of the Scriptures & what our intentions are for wearing them. Some Fellowships ban or strongly advocate against wearing of jewellery, yet some of those same women will present themselves quite differently outside the 'Christian circle'. We have to be convinced in our own hearts about this matter, maybe done for the enhancing our appearance without appearing ostentatious & taking away from a woman's inner beauty.

A question for anyone .... jesus was deemed as the perfect sacrifice, without spot or blemish, without sin and as the son of the almighty god, was a perfect man.

the night before his crucifixion, jesus and a select few disciples went to the garden of gethsemane. the account in luke ..... indicates.... that jesus sweated blood. no other gospel says anything like that. before i go any further.... i want to make myself very clear. my lord and savior was without spot and an absolute perfect sacrifice.

why would my lord and redeemer.....the perfect sacrifice, have a medical condition which would allow him to sweat blood.

i have the king james bible... the words say ... like large drops of blood.... why do many many, preachers and pastors insist on bestowing the perfect sacrifice with an affliction that would render my lord and savoir an imperfect man with flaws.

not only that ..... why does no one mention the blood which would have been running down the lords face and covering his cloths, and dripping off his hair......

i do not believe......for 1 second... jesus had a flaw, or sweated blood.... feel free to gasp in shock and hate my words....but...read the word of the lord... and remember, we should question everything....

    1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 & 5:2, 4

    2nd Peter 3:12-14

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Comment: we are waiting for the fullness of the Gentiles to be completed. Be paitient and be LOOKING for Jesus.

Matthew 24 explains we're going to see and go through some: signs of the times.

We're seeing it now so don't think it's a long process.

Eunice, that's a great Psalm to meditate on. My favourite verses there are verses 4 & 5. The words: show me, teach me, lead me, all point to our attitude before Him: "on Thee do I wait ALL the day". It is in that place of humility, submission & longing for His Word to come to us, that we can experience the beauty of His Presence & the Power of His Word. The Lord bless you & refresh your spirit as you feed on Him.

Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.

I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.

Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?

You know, Jesus stands at your door knocking, for you to let him in your whole life. Receive him as your personal Savior.

Open the door of your heart and rededicate your life and future to Him.

When he came to earth as the Lamb of God, he stepped out of his role of equal person to the Godhead to become the Son of Man. He set his power aside so he could win souls to God; teach His disciples (students) to carry on the faith after He went to the Cross to be crucified for OUR SINS.

I ask myself daily, what have I done today to tell others about Jesus, and help out my fellow man?

Christianity isn't about getting Saved and doing nothing after that. Our lives should change from ME, to helping where we can to comfort others and maybe lead them to Jesus too. Your testimony is very valuable to someone who knows nothing about it.

Just be yourself. True Humility, like Jesus has, is doing for others what they can't do alone.

I want everyone to go on YouTube and watch Christian videos on Spiritual Warfare. Our near future is going to be full of it. We have to learn about a Real Devil that has a will and uses it to hurt, or even kill people.

Satan is here to Steal, Kill, and Destroy. He steals our peace, safety our jobs; he kills our feelings till we're so depressed we can't leave the house; he'll destroy anything we hold dear; it's easy for him to destroy people with drugs, sex and alcohol. He could care less if you're suffering.

    Fight Back now!

God is unfailing and just, all we need to do is to believe in him and leave our worries in his hands. He will take care of our needs and will not leave us at the mercy of the wicked. The wicked will have their day of judgement, and judgement belongs to God, and only God.

someone asked for Luke 21:12 be explained;I think that verse 12 is a carry over from verse 11 where Jesus was describing events immediately preceding the end of the age.Verse 12 begins with,But before all these things.....I believe that verses 12 to 24 describes the period between the time of the discourse and future Tribulation Period. His Disciples would be arrested, persecuted, tried before religious and civil powers, and imprisoned.

,It could have felt like failure and tragedy to the Disciples, but GOD overruled it to make it a testimony for His glory. They did not have to prepare their defense in advance. In their hour of crisis they were not to worry about what to say, because GOD said:settle it in your minds not to meditate before hand how to answer, for I give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.I believe that when that day if it ever appears in our Christian lives,we will stand fast in our faith and never deny, our belief in GOD,because He will give us what we will say.But as far as the rapture, verse 12 is not speaking of this.Read verses 6 thru 11 you will understand what verse 12 is saying.
