Having peace in my life is important, so accepting JESUS as my savoir is a must, because the price of sin is death, but god gave us life and peace through his son JESUS CHRIST, FOR THOSE OF US WHO WOULD ACCEPT HIS GIFT

Here I am, at the Church Parking Lot. It is empty. I am here because God impressed on me that as Christians, our greatest duty is to come together to Worship God, to share in His benefits, to Hear and Learn His Word. To Worship Jesus. But what have we done? We have sheltered in place over a Virus. We have hidden from the Commandment. Where have we gone to seek shelter from the storm? To whom have we turned for protection? We have stopped going to Church, willingly, to shelter in place at home and the local supermarkets. Costco, Walmart, Publix, Fresco, Walgreens, CVS are packed. Lines circle the block, in some cases, to get in. We will wait an hour for a can of Baked Beans. But our Churches are closed. No one in sight. No one waiting to get in. Have we missed the significance of Church? Of why we gather?

Of all things in life, Church should be the most important for Believers. It is there we find Healing for out souls. Strength in time of need. But we have abandoned it for our personal safety. Where do we go to taste the fruit of the Lord, if not in Church? What shall it profit a man if he gain the world, but loses his soul?

Suicides, domestic violence, child abuse, drug abuse, frustration, desperation, hopelessness are all on the rise. But the only place where they can get help for their needs, the Hospital of the Soul, is closed. The Church is not accepting any more patients, till further notice. Initially I thought the Pastor in Florida was wrong to open the Church for Services. But God showed me today I was the one that was wrong. What will we do when times of persecution come? When things get really rough? Will we shelter in place? Will we hide in Walmart? Or will we stand firm to Proclaim the name of the Lord Jesus, come hell or high water? Will we cower or Stand in the Strength of the Spirit?

There isn't a venue more important than Church during this Pandemic. But we have all taken a vacation. Jesus died on a Cross and we fear a virus?

If you mean Saul - Saul was a Pharisee, of the same belief as the chief priest.

The Pharisees wanted to persecute everyone who believed in Jesus Christ because Jesus had explained many times the sins of the Pharisees.

They would not believe and repent, but instead attempted to stop any further preaching/believing because Jesus told them to change their sinful ways and traditions which were not of God.

In short, the Pharisees were not serving God, but only serving themselves and their way of life; any belief/worship that changed their ways was persecuted.

If you are familiar with The Great Revolt of 70 AD, many false prophets arose in Jerusalem that convinced the unsaved Jews that God was with them. They were killing each other inside the walls while Rome was on the outside. These men were known as The Zealots. They even burned up a bunch of the food surplus to force the rest of the Jews to fight against the Roman army. This was disastrous and about 50% of the world population of the Jewish people died in that war and 90,000 or so sold into slavery. If you go by per capita, it was much worse than the holocaust. Some were eating their children for food. It is important what we teach. There are consequences to false teaching. Evolution is a big one- Eugenics and abortion evolved out of that false science. Billions have been killed over just this ONE false idea.

Doctrine is very important and if it, like pre-trib, has a track record of ruining lives something is wrong.

How many Christians in the 1970's, and 1980's did little with their lives because they were told Jesus would return by 1988? I can go on and on with this stuff. They could have born more fruit for the kingdom had they left it in God's hands.

Hey, I love you in Jesus. Don't doubt that. If I am hard on something like false doctrine, bare with me if I come off in comments as a hard person. It is more like righteous anger. If you met me in person, I would bless you.

Doris, the Ten Commandments are the Commandments that God gave to His people the children of Israel via His servant Moses at Mt. Sinai. The Ten Commandments can be seen in Exodus chapter 20 were the initial laws regarding their worship of God & treatment of the fellow man. After this, many more laws were given in Exodus & Leviticus that expanded on these laws as well as ceremonial laws for their worship in the Tabernacle.

These laws were only given to Israel - the heathen nations didn't receive it: they had their own laws which no doubt included all forms of idolatry. But the Law to Israel was only temporal (a shadow of the Perfect Law to come) & so by strict adherence to it plus all the sacrifices they had to make, their sins were only covered year by year by the High Priest's intercession, but never removed. It was only when God's Son, Jesus Christ, the fulfilment of all of God's Laws came to give His Life for all of us, that we who have faith in that complete Work at the Cross, can truly be forgiven. Jesus, the sinless One, became our sacrificial Lamb whereas the lamb from the pasture was just a weak, temporal sacrifice done by Israel according to the law. So both Jew & Gentile now need to respond to Jesus to be saved from sin.

However, this scripture has nothing to do with heaven...we often wrap our minds around the word "holiness" as if it pertains to works or things we must do to gain life eternal...which aren't listed here because it doesn't refer to it, but what about the first part of the text..."Follow peace with ALL men" ?

YOU SAID: "So you don't like me? We're commanded to love one another, by Jesus.

Your objections are with My Advocate. He will decide this."

ME: Of course I like and love you if you are a brother in the Lord and IF YOU ARE MY ENEMY. It doesn't stop with loving just brothers and sisters in Christ. Why wouldn't I? What makes you say that? I think you may have misunderstood something I said. Please give me the chance to explain myself in case I did say something wrongly. If I am wrong, I will repent.

Unless you are a pastor and teaching the pre-trib doctrine AS TRUTH and not a theory when it was never taught until 1830 and based on a 15 year old girl's vision and prophetic utterance, that is something you will have to deal with the Lord on and I would call you to repentance then. Why did you say that? I like all people, all races, all colors, all ethnicities. I DON'T like people teaching false doctrine because souls are lost from it.

Souls were lost in 1844 at The Great Disappointment when many lost their faith because of the pre-trib rapture doctrine.

Souls were lost in the 1930's because brother began to betray brother in China because they were taught pre-trib rapture doctrine and communism became their politics over there.

    These are facts.

50 to 100 cults arose out of the pre-trib rapture doctrine. I will name a few. House of Yahweh, 7th Day ADventism, Jehovah Witnesses, Branch Davidians.

Can you show me ONE piece of good fruit from this doctrinal tree? I can show hundreds of bad fruit because I learned it's history, the things pastors and teachers all across America hid from me and millions of others. Jesus said a bad tree cannot bring forth good fruit. Even TEN cults coming out of an ideology or theory is enough bad fruit.

Love you bro. Please make this right before God, you and me.

Lisa, you have that figure correct at 120,000. But if you read the verse fully, you will see that that figure applies to those "who cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand" So this figure of 120K, refers to the immature ones of the population, i.e. young children.

That being the case, then it's very likely that those other numbers you've seen, 600K plus, would refer to the rest of the population of Nineveh. So, the differing numbers you noted, are just people's guesses as to what Nineveh's population might have been at that time. So, I hope you are clear on this. And don't forget the "much cattle"! They're important too, as if Jonah didn't go to preach repentance to them, not only the people but also innocent children & innocent cattle would have been destroyed.

Karyn, you have our thoughts & prayers in this difficult time for both your Mom & your family. You all need God's Peace in your hearts, a Peace that goes way beyond our comprehension. And that can only come by a real confidence in the Power of God, in His Love for you all, & His guiding Hand upon the doctors. The surgery may be quite routine for these doctors, but they too need our prayers for God to superintend this surgery.

If you feel that your Mom is getting too stressed, ask her if you can read to her from God's Word, whether while she is at home or at the hospital preparing for surgery. And as you read specific portions of these Psalms I give you now, you can slowly repeat or meditate with her over those verses that would be most appropriate for her. The Psalms I would suggest are: Psalms 34, 64 & 91. Psalm 23, an old favourite is also very good, though you may want to change the emphasis from the "valley of the shadow of death", to read "though I walk through deep & dark valleys, I will fear no evil". I only suggest this, as this may be a fear that she carries with her at this time. May God bless you & help you all through this time.

When I was 30 or so; I thought that the Bible said that, where there are 2 christians gathered together in my name; I will hear their prayer; but I was only one and had no other to pray with; and now , I am also by my self; and I have no-one to pray with; but I know that He hears my prayers because He taught me; and I think that the Bible confirms that He do hear the prayers of one; but He is concerned when a christian can not find another christian to pray with. There may be many christians who have no one to pray with; but please pray if you want to, directly to your Heavenly Father as I can assure you that He hears all prayers directed to Him.

    Mishael and everyone else.

Archeological records do show pre-historic people were religious. Religion has existed from the beginning, not just because God created us with a desire for Him, but because Satan and his horde used it to draw people away from God. The earliest writings are religious; Gilgamesh and Sanskrit. Just as God used to walk in the Garden with Adam and Eve, Satan and fallen angels made their presence known. Was association with these fallen angels and pursuit of idolatrous religious beliefs that excluded God, what the Fruit consisted of? Of course, we don't know. But everything in the Bible points to it. From the day Adam Sinned, to the present. The earliest cave drawings show rituals God would not approve of. Why have men been drawn to spiritual worship that excludes God? Why have they believed everything except the Truth? Out of 7 Billion people on the Earth, there are only 2 Billion that bear the name of Christ.

Think about this. Why is it Christ only showed Himself to a select group, after His Resurrection? Why not go public? Why didn't anyone recognize Him? They sat with Him, talked, fished and ate with Him, and they didn't recognize Him. Why? Because God has a Plan, a design. God created with a Purpose. Why did God speak in Parables and not plainly? Because if He had, they would believe. Didn't He want everyone to believe? The answer is a resounding No.

Men have been drawn away from God from the very beginning. Why? Satan. Satan enticed Adam and Eve by appealing to their curiosity about things they didn't know about God and the universe. He preyed on their innocence and the desire God placed in us for Him. God told them not to follow those things, but like Songs 2, they were enticed. They disobeyed. Gen 6:5, Rev 2:20, 2Kings 9:22, 17:16-18, Jude 1:11. 1Sam15:23: For rebellion is like the sin of divination,

and arrogance like the evil of idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has rejected you. Sound like Adam?

You have been through so much, Sakeeya, & you're showing clearly that the volume of your sins are weighing heavily upon you. That can only be by the Spirit of God's Work in your heart as He brings conviction. God desires too that you are totally freed from the presence & power of sin in your life. And I think you know what God requires of you - to repent of all your sins (which means you decide in your heart that you will no longer be a servant to sin & you want to turn your back to it); to call upon the Name of Jesus Christ, God's Son to forgive you (because it is only because His death & resurrection from the dead that God can forgive you); to put your faith in Jesus' sacrificial love for you at the Cross, because it is only by faith that you can be saved & nothing else that you think you can add to; and thank Him for saving you & ask Him to help you in your new life. Spend time in prayer & in the Bible, God's Word - this is for you to get closer to your Heavenly Father & also to resist the Devil when he comes knocking at your heart's door to coax you back into sin.

Also, find a good Church nearby, if you haven't already. I would suggest a Baptist Church or an evangelical fellowship where the Bible is loved & preached. Talk to the Pastor/Elder about your spiritual condition or your need to be saved & tell him that you want to obey the Lord by being baptized. I think you understand baptism: this is your identification with Jesus in His death & resurrection & new life from Him. Baptism does not save you, Jesus saves & His Spirit gives you a new birth, but baptism is the outward sign to your own heart of what has taken place before God. God bless you Sakeeya, as you look forward & not backwards anymore.

Tasha, just one more quick word for you. You clearly recognize how far you had gone from God & now you have come back to Him. You will also notice that your enemy, the Devil, will not be far away from you to entice you to the things that you were once addicted to. This & other ways will the Devil use to get you away from God & His Love for you. The best way to defeat the enemy is to resist him by going to prayer immediately & talk to God about what is happening. When you finish talking with God, spend time in the Bible & soak up God's Words for you. I tell you the truth, when I had to deal with people who were being attacked by the enemy, as soon as we prayed, as soon as God's Word was read, the Devil fled - He hates the Word - it is Truth & He is a Liar, the father of lies.

So, I just share this short word for encouragement to you & to remind you to flee temptations & run into God's Word. Find a good Bible believing, God honouring Fellowship near to you so you may be strengthened in your faith. May He bless you in your life & as you are also then able to help that family who are mourning their loss.

Jayden, I always look at the Bible as a whole: yes, even in its time span of thousand of years, with people with almost unpronounceable names, living in parts of the world that we hardly can place now. You know what I see in all this? I see myself. I see that those people in those olden times had the same feelings & difficulties in life that I go through. They still had laws to follow & they still had to live with the dictates of their own conscience. Some were rich, others in dire poverty. Some were very religious worshipping God, others made their own gods (idols). Some tried to do good for others, but then some accused them of doing evil & tried to hurt them. So, I see the Bible as not only the history of the world (which often you can't read about from books in the library), but also a mirror which shows me, my life, my struggles, my needs and of course, how far I had gone away from the God Who made me and loved me.

If you are wondering whether to open this Book from God & do what He says, I urge you to begin reading (maybe start with Genesis to learn about the Creator God & his chosen people, Israel. In Genesis, you will find how the first man & woman disobeyed God & became sinners. That sin nature we now all have which was passed down to us. God could have wiped us out forever, but His Love for us prevented Him doing this. He saw that man couldn't obey His Law perfectly to get right with Him, so He came Himself to this Earth, in the person of Jesus Christ, His Son, to give His Life on our behalf as payment for our sins. This was such great love, that God would save us & satisfy His Anger to sin, to promise us eternal life ( John 3:16). To those who hear His Message & repent of their sins through Jesus Christ, are promised to receive His Spirit & new life. How do we respond? We love Him more for what He has done & want to please Him in our lives.

So to read the Bible & do what God says is what every child of God wants to do. So it is very important for you.

25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

That seems to be straight forward. He made beast like beast are ie after their kind etc. He made them all like they are and or could have been if we had to stay in the Garden of Eden; and in regard to angels; He made the Heaven and earth; and Angels are a product of Heaven. We are a product of earth, that was given a living soul.

It says that God made the moon but it does not say it is its' own light source, but we know that the moon is a reflection of the sun and whether or not you think that God should have mentioned that is up to you as we have that freedom; however; I don't think that he needed to mention it as He even knew we would discover it.

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

    I would think so as

    16And

God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

So that would be the sun to rule the day; and the moon to rule the night created on the 4th day and he made the stars also

Jesse, that was great reply, long, but certainly not long-winded. I won't do justice to your reply with my comments here, but your studies with your Pastor, though you were hesitant in the beginning, have clearly proved vital in your 'fuller' understanding & appreciation of the Word. That series of studies was certainly God-ordained for you at that time.

Your account of that unidentified person who gifted the TR copies to each one of you (for no small cost for sure), came home as a great truth of the Spirit's work. Our natural man seeks out recognition & applause, but the Spirit speedily whispers in our hearts that He is the One working in the lives (in that room) & you & I are only the tools in His Hands. All the praise & recognition goes to the Lord & not us.

And yes, Judas' repentance, I liken to a person of some renown caught out in a misdemeanour & apologizes with tears for it. Often is the case, that that apology has only come because he was caught out & not of contrition subsequent to committing the error. Much like Judas' repentance & grief. And I do always read your comments given out - I find them substantiating a lot of my beliefs & understanding of Scripture. Keep up the good work - by His Spirit, of course.

Carlos, I'm glad you enjoyed that story - I think I missed my calling. Yes, in hindsight, that Insurance Policy would have led to fraudulent behaviour on my part - I will have to cancel it now.

Since you initially offered the illustration of the mansion as it relates to my building it in the location that the enemy has access to, I ran with it. Therefore to your next question:

"wouldn't it be wiser to just build the house where the enemy couldn't get to it? Or was that an impossibility? Was it an absolute necessity to build the house right smack in the middle of Satan's kingdom?"

That would be an impossibility, as this enemy of mine is so filled with hate & relentless in his pursuit of me, that wherever I go he is lurking around the corner (with his bulldozer of course). And as far as his kingdom is concerned, he seems to have the property deeds to everywhere I go (I would despairingly think, that he actually owns & controls the 'world'): almost like being a god of this world. Wherever I go, he's there, so I figure, just stay where I am & enjoy my mansion by the river & deal with my enemy as he thrusts against me with the weapons that God has given, as this is the only ones that work.

    Carlos.

"Bias and conjecture shouldn't be what defines our understanding of God's Purpose. The argument that man can choose is not sufficient to justify Adam's poor choice." I think that's exactly what the power of choice is: to choose between right & wrong.

"However, the argument breaks down even more when confronted with the question on whether there will be choice in the eternal heaven. Is there a possibility the Redeemed will make the wrong choices in Heaven? And if not, why? Wouldn't not making the right choices make them robots?" If I were true to my understanding, I would say that we would definitely have the power of choice in Heaven, just as the Angels do. And probably more so us, being like unto Christ's body ( 1 Jn 3:2): both in spirit & flesh outfitted for Heaven. I would think that with Satan bound for eternity, that we wouldn't be contemplating wrong choices while in Heaven.

"Would not making right choices make us robots?" No, because of the power of choice are not characteristic of robots. If one says, that robots can choose, then it is only because of their programming, of which can't be said of the heavenly host.

"So, where does the Bible say man was created perfect?" Nowhere. I'm banking on the fact that God doesn't create anything with a flaw or with inherent sin, however minute, or else He wouldn't be the Creator of the Bible I know Him to be.

"Where does it say Evil would have no influence?" No verse, but the evidence speaks for itself. Evil abounds, whether before Adam, Christ, or us. It can have no influence on us unless we permit it access. Jesus was the only One Who defeated Satan & maintained His Perfection.

"every person, starting with Adam and Eve, is programmed, like a robot or computer". True, we have programming via our DNA, our nervous system, connected body functions, et al; but our spirit is not programmed by God, though it can be affected or we program it as a result of our sin nature.

SAKEEYA: it's gonna be scary but you will make it if you hold onto Jesus with all your strength: physical, mental and emotional. Demons don't like to lose one.

I was an astrologer. I had a supernatural salvation experience. After I received Jesus, I was delivered on the spot, by the Holy Spirit. It was only with His help that I survived. First day I just knew to clear anything that was an idol out of my house. I burned expensive books; drugs, alcohol, clothing, lots more. All that was in the house was me and a 15lb KJ Bible. You have to read your Bible: it will save your life. If demons threaten you, scare you, lie to you, choke you, hold your eyelids down..do not freak out. Stay calm and plead the blood of Jesus: 'I am covered with the Blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth'. Sex demons will frighten you. They're invisible but you know they're in the house.

I almost died with pneumonia because I had quit sleeping for weeks. The Holy Spirit gave me strength to get out of bed and go buy 2 books: one on angels and one on demons. I was able to sleep that night. You gotta fight hell with the WORD OF GOD. Plead the BLOOD!

Go underline in your Bible, Matthew 12:44

It will get you through this. Go to church no matter how alien you feel. That's a demon too. You belong to God and they hate Gods people. Your old friends will come by to take you out sinning. Invite them to go to church with you. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring New Christian friends into your life. He'll do it too. Now: ask God to set Angels on all 4 corners of your house to keep the demons out. Start reading a whole Book of the New Testament in your Bible every day. Demons don't want you to do that. They'll make the phone ring, bad news friends come over. You have to be strong for Jesus and tell them you got saved. You have to let them go till you get stronger in Jesus. Give all that bad stuff you did and receive Jesus's strength to RESIST the devil. He must flee!! PRAY out the hurts of your heart.

Carlos, loved all the Scriptures you gave in evidence of God's Foreknowledge, Fore-ordination, Planning, Choosing, etc, & they are all valid as I understand those Scriptures as given. But our stumbling block, at least in this matter, lies with (not Christ), but with Adam & Eve. "Only Christ was made Perfect. Adam and Eve were not." I really don't think this exchange of thoughts on this matter can usefully proceed further, as our understanding of Perfection is 'slightly' different. I say, 'slightly', as I think we both believe that God doesn't make errors in anything He does. You believe that His Plan in creating man/woman was for an imperfect creation that could then succumb to sin & hence their need for salvation to bring them back to perfection. I say, that His creation was perfect, but became corrupted because of choice. And choice is a valid characteristic of perfection. (see also Ezek 28:14,15: of the anointed cherub). Choice was also a characteristic of the Perfect Jesus: He had choices & temptations before Him; He chose correctly & resisted sin at every level & remained sinless. Therefore Carlos, I really don't think we can proceed further with this - it appears a dead end street for now. Thank you for your time on this one.
