Chris, bias and conjecture shouldn't be what defines our understanding of God's Purpose. The argument that man can choose is not sufficient to justify Adam's poor choice. However, the argument breaks down even more when confronted with the question on whether there will be choice in the eternal heaven. Is there a possibility the Redeemed will make the wrong choices in Heaven? And if not, why? Wouldn't not making the right choices make them robots?

So, where does the Bible say man was created perfect? I ask because I don't know if there is and I would like to know. Where does it say Evil would have no influence? Additionally, don't we in the 21st Century know better that previous generations that every person, starting with Adam and Eve, is programmed, like a robot or computer? It is called RNA and DNA. Every cell in the universe is programmed. Every seed is programmed. We can only behave as we are programmed to behave. We can only do what we are programmed to do. That applies physically and intellectually. I am glad, however, that your word of choice is Choice, not Free Will.

Finally, where does it say God created to show His love? But the question remains, will we have choice in heaven? And if we do, will we at one point or another make the wrong choice? This particular book Isaiah 49 chapter talks about how good the Lord is to his people. Hi, I'm wrestling somewhat with Deut 19 v 15 where the Word talks of two witnesses needed for a conviction of an evil act. It seems the JWs use this to protect some among their number who have been accused of child abuse. Obviously a child who has been abused would never have had a witness, let alone two, to present evidence against an evil person involved in such a crime. I'd be interested in your take on this verse please.

Thanks for that info Bob. Lucky for me I don't use snopes. I don't know much about snopes. I was just curious about your post that mentioned something with Lucifer in part of the name so I just did a browser search and scrolled until I saw that name and clicked it. It just so happened to be snopes. I'm not even sure why I went there. I try not to get too caught up in the things of this world. There is a lot of craziness going on and I think it causes us to get distracted, which in turn takes our minds off Christ.

The Heaven and earth were created on the first day along with light. I mean it is amazing that would be created on the first day; but when I think about it; if I was God; that is what I would have done as that to me seems the natural order of things when there is a God. They run into a serious problem because Jesus curses the fig tree in a previous chapter and says in Matt. 21:43, "the kingdom of God is taken away from you and given to another nation". verse 32 is just a metaphor that when all the previous signs Jesus just mentioned in that chapter are all happening at the same time IS JUST LIKE trees blossoming in the spring. Nowhere does it say Israel becoming a nation again as ONE of those signs, at least not in the gospels. Luke adds one extra detail with "...and all the trees" and then in verse 30 says "THEY". So if we are take to take Matthew's fig tree and ADD "and all the trees" from Luke, this means every nation that quit being a nation would have to become a nation again int he end times too. It just doesn't hold any water.

Hi Cindy, so according to your religion, Jesus would have said to the woman found in adultery, 'neither do I condemn you, go your way and sin all you like, because I'm going to die on the cross to pay the price for all your sins, past, present and future, so because of my death on the cross, you can sin all you want and still get to heaven, as long as you believe in me. that's a horrible religion. Who needs it?

Everyone needs that kind of God because we can not not sin. Anyone who says that have no sin is a liar and they call God a liar. If we were saved due to our behavior we would all split hell wide open. Thank God we are saved by what Jesus did because he can not fail. Our salvation is not made nor maintained by our works. Our works are not good enough. Self righteousness is what will keep people out of Heaven. Prostitutes will make it to heaven before self righteous people will. My mom is going into open-heart surgery on Tuesday 5/19/2020. I pray that she finds peace and is not scared. That she pulls through and recovers quickly without evil whispering fear and doubt in her mind.
