Jesus tells us plainly in Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed (weeds) tares among the wheat, and went his way.
26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?
28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST first the TARES (WEEDS) tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (first the tares WEEDS get gathered, then wheat last) could it be any more plain than this?
Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.
37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
John Mark was a traveling companion of Paul and Barnabas; in fact it is generally thought that John Mark was related to Barnabas (as a cousin or nephew). Paul and Barnabas has a very big disagreement over John Mark causing them to part ways at Pamphylia.

He gave us 10 simple guidelines to live our lives. Jesus gave us 2 commandments, which take the place of the 10. If we love each other...we'll fulfill the 10. Simple.
I don't know about you but plenty of people were unfair to me; let me down. I was bleeding out so-to-speak When I came to Jesus. I was crouched on a chair with a vision of hell in my floor and an invisible Hand extended to me, above my head. I grabbed the Hand!! For me that was when life began.
He's not being mean to people. What is it when people ignore their Creator and choose to be spiritually blind and deaf?
I'll show you some mercy...all the babies and little children will be taken to heaven at the rapture of the church, world wide. God will not let them suffer. Read all of the book of John. No skipping around. Is Jesus mean?
Don't be clueless like I was. Just take the Hand of God and walk with Him.
I asked my mother once why she didn't read the Bible. She countered with being baptized as a child and believing in heaven. I asked her why wouldn't you want to know every thing possible about Someone you want to spend eternity with? She began reading her Bible every day. She died 6 months later. I miss her. I'll see her again.
Receive Jesus. Let Him have your past and you take His future.
The bare bones is this: quit waiting for some big sign post in the sky that says it's going to be tonight or next week. Our time for sin is done. Quit wondering and open up the door of your heart that Jesus is knocking on.
Give your life to Jesus Christ... and take His Life. Accept him as your Savior and Lord.
Take yourself OFF of the throne of your heart....and PUT Jesus on that throne. Do it now!
End your fleshly, worldly lifestyle and begin to live for Jesus only. If the Holy Spirit cringes in your home....get rid of the idols.
You cannot learn the Bible with media all over your home. Stop now and read this passage: it's about the media!! Isaiah 8:18-22. Wizards that peep and mutter are computers that are hooked up to internet, Facebook, evil Twitter of voices of heartless hell bound people. Verse 20, because there is NO LIGHT in them! People feed themselves on garbage every day. No wonder there is no sense of stability in their christian walk.
We're living in Bottom Line days here! The moment Jesus speaks COME UP, we are gone. The door is shut.
Avoid all the confusion of varying opinions. BE BORN AGAIN NOW. Then you won't have to wonder when THE MOMENT will be. Your ticket is punched. You are ready to board!!
We are surely going to see Matthew 24 bloom and spread out across the world. Time for lively debates has passed. If you care so much, go next door and see if your neighbor is ready....and to others on the street. Romans chapter one.
If other people are not saved; do not want to be saved; ask you to leave ( Romans 1)
They are dead already. Noah's world drowned. This world is going by fire.
It blows my mind that people are not one bit curious about New Jerusalem? Are not highly excited about meeting the Son of God. Beloveds, look forward. Be ready. Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Whereas, Incense in Hinduism, though similar in providing a sweet odour, is essentially used in the performance of puja & prayers to a deity in an offering made in love to the deity. And incense is used in other religions as well for similar purposes, other than to given a sweet smell in a house, generally used today. In pure Christianity, incense is not used, as we believe that the God Whom we worship delights in His people coming to him anywhere, anytime & without the need of any paraphernalia to bring Him any further delight or acceptance. We come to God in simple love & faith & believing He hears & answers our prayers to Him.
I think that 'denominations' were inevitable as the Church moved further away from apostolic teaching. Interpretations of Scripture, even the fusing of OT practices into the Church (incense, robes, chants, etc.), would undoubtedly creep in as men looked to their own wisdom rather than the Wisdom in the Word. Looking at the Church with human eyes, one could wonder why the Lord would have any further dealings with us anymore. Except for that singular fact: His Own Son's Blood was shed for the Church & only faith in that finished Work alone, would secure the desperate soul to salvation & glorious eternity. Thus it is heartening to understand that ultimately God can only be our Judge, & that judgement based on one's saving faith in His Son, & nothing else.
Carlos, I still have our other 'unfinished' matters before me - don't despair!
I don't see any problem with this statement. There were animals in the garden and some were beast of the field and some beasts of the woods and plains maybe etc. and the serpent was the most subtil of all the beast that were in the field. He was in the garden just as Eve was.
Jesus was preparing His disciples for the things which were about to come, His crucifixion, death, resurrection, and His ascension up to heaven to prepare a place for us until He comes back at His second coming.
Verse 32, Jesus says they will scatter, every man to his own way. There will come a time when Jesus is crucified, and the horror of that sight, and the disappointment and discouragement that will come upon them, they will all scatter! Jesus didn't say it was wrong. He said this is what you're going to do. Every man to his own, that is, his own house or place. They will scatter and go back to their own homes discouraged and disheartened. They are going to leave Him up on the cross to die alone, and yet Jesus says I am not alone because the Father is with me.
Verse 33, Jesus says these things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Jesus is telling them what to expect after He leaves. But He tells them that they will overcome, as He overcame. He says that in Him, they would have peace.
Peace is not a tranquil feeling that God gives us to make us feel good. Our peace is in Christ. In Ephesians 2:14, Paul says about the Jew and the Gentile who have been separated that in Christ, He is our peace. Peace is a person!
He is our peace who has made both one, Jew and Gentile, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us and brought us all into one. In the Greek text, EIRENE for peace means to unite, to become one.
For me to find my peace in Christ, it means that in all of my situations I lineup with Him, I unite with Him, and I keep my focus on Him. He will be my peace, my unity with Him.
Paul said in 1 Cor. 1:30-31 that Christ is our sanctification, Christ is our righteousness. I'm clothed in His righteousness. I've not gained any for myself. He went on to say Christ is our wisdom. Now we're told that Christ is our peace!
God confused the one language into Many. Everybody moved away so they could hear only their language?
See that's humans for you. They all want some unique way to hold Church and attract new visitors. All people want to have it their way.
Anyone can go online now and read the tenets of that Church's faith. What they believe. If it doesn't match up to the Bible, don't go there. If the church has skinny "sheep" then they aren't being fed on the Word of God. If they don't have wool, then they're being fleeced by false shepherds.
We have a grave responsibility to search these things out!
We attend church to obey God.... because we love Him and He wants us to learn about him. Somewhere it says that if the stall is "full", that's a happy barn; a balanced diet.
Don't put the full responsibility on the Pastor to feed you!
We are to be having family Bible night at home too. Kids will never walk away from God if his love and nurturing is at home. There are many "justice league" kind of heroes in scripture. Jesus slipped in and out of crowds when it was necessary; being chased by Pharisees & legalists. Paul is running from them, Romans and all manner of hazards. What does that teach? Saul chased King David for years and couldn't kill him. If you are hidden in Christ you can achieve amazing victories.
Children know none of these amazing stories, these days. The Bible was removed from schools in 1962. Jesus was kicked out, along with the 10 commandments. LOOK AT WHAT OUR SOCIETY HAS BECOME.
One old lady atheist did that.
Does anyone have a testimony of what Jesus did for them this week???
Maybe God would like to hear it too??
The kids love tunes by Carman on youtube, like: Yahweh; Yo Kids album; he loves ministering in song to kids :D. I used to go to the same church he went to. Kids set on fire for Jesus. It can happen again folks.
Tim,
In Verse 30, the word "tribes" would show us that Jesus is talking about Jews. And then again in Verse 31, the gathering of the elect, that word "elect" is referring to Jews. It starts getting interesting beginning at Verse 33. Jesus says, So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. In Verse 34, the word "generation" is referring to a race of people. He's talking about Jews.
Now Verses 37-41 give us the preconditions to the coming of Christ. I find Verses 37-39 to be quite interesting, and I think this might tie in to what you are talking about. 37) But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38) For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39) And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
After God shut the door on the ark, how long was it until it started raining? One week! I see that as prophecy. After the door was shut on the ark, the unbelievers still didn't know the judgment was coming. But they were warned. Noah and His family were closed up and safe in the ark for a week before the judgment came upon the non-believing world. That is why it says they didn't know it until the flood came. The flood came and took them all away. It was life as usual until it came, and it was sudden, and it was quick, and it was unexpected.
For me, I see the parallel between the ark and Daniel's 70th week. I see believers being caught up to be safe with the Lord for that final week (7 yr. period) while the unbelievers are carrying on as usual until the judgment hits them, just like in the days of Noah being safe in the ark for 7 days until the flood came.
Well, I know I've rambled a lot here, but I just wanted to share my perspective and understanding of Matthew 24.
Tim,
I would like to share with you my understanding of Matthew Chapter 24. Matthew Chapters 24 and 25 deal with the end-time prophecies. There are four sections in Chapter 24 that represent the 70th week of Daniel.
Section 1: "The Pains of Birth" Verses 4-14. Section 2: Matthew 24:15 is "The Pivotal Point." Section 3: Matthew 24:16-28, "The Perils of Tribulation." And then fourthly, Verses 29 to 31 is "The Promise of His Coming," given to us in Isaiah 13:10 and 34:4, Joel 2:10 and 3:15, 7:13, Isaiah 27:13, and Zechariah 12:10.
Beginning at verse 3 of Chapter 24, the disciples are looking for answers as to when these things are going to happen. Jesus then begins answering, and from Verses 4-14, He gives the details of the first 3-1/2 years of the tribulation, known as the pains of birth. In Verse 15, we have the pivotal point, the abomination of desolation.
Then in Verse 16, we see that Jesus is talking to Jewish believers. Actually, I believe the entire Chapter is given to Jewish believers. But Jesus tells them to flee. Verses 16 to 28 talk about the perils of tribulation, the last 3-1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation period. It's going to be a very severe time.
Verse 22 is showing us that if God did not have a time period when He says okay I am going to stop, everybody would be wiped out.
But for the sake of the elect, a special word brought over from the O.T. as a title for the Jewish people. They are His elect people. It doesn't mean they are all saved but they are His chosen people. He realizes there are 144,000 of them out there, plus all the others who believed, and this is something that is going to happen in the last part of the tribulation period.
Verses 29-31, we have the promise of His coming. I recently shared the actual 7 Steps of a Jewish Wedding. If we understand those 7 steps, it helps to understand the coming of Christ and some of the Jewish views about when Christ is coming back. Those steps are fascinating!
Today I found the need to renew my vols with God as I have been feeling attacked, distant from God.
Since more or less 2 years ago that I have the feeling that God doesn't listen to me anymore and I am lost. I lost my job 2 years ago, high ranking IT job (which I feel is not Godly anymore duo to the advancements of technology and medicine, I believe technology will be intrinsically tight to the mark of the beast).
I'm trying to make my own job working with more closely with nature like wood work and blacksmith. I also lost my father 6 months ago and do not know which way to go next...I'm confused and I feel distant from God and I don't want to feel like this. I've been praying for me, my mother, my late father and for all Christians in the world, as I see them being attacked in all fronts. I never asked this but, I ask you to pray for me and my family in the name of Jesus Christ almighty savior, and I thank you in advanced!
I hope I find my way again so I can support my family and me and have a Godly life. I also pray for all of you, and all christians in the world who are suffering greater things at the hands of satanic forces. More and more we see the devil's hand at work in the world and we must stand firm!
Once again I thank you in Jesus All Mighty name, and I will keep you also in my prayers.
Amen brothers and sisters.
Thank you
