Remember my husband and I we are seriously struggling with our marriage. He has said things to me that has effected my self esteem and I have had problems like that in my past with my family and childs father. Only to marry a man that has offended me in that area. We go to town watch tv or even be around fam and church fam of all the women we be around I feel less than.. I don't have the shape they have or dress like those etc.. I can't help but think of words he has directed toward me not In fussing but just general talk.. i feel like he was selfish and carnal around that time but even thou I can tell he's trying to grow in the Lord these things still hurt and effect our relationship..Theres times I feel self conscious around the man I love. I love my husband and I wouldn't want a divorce. But I am tired of feeling that pain I feel when we get around other woman. He says he loves me and that I'm beautiful but those thoughts are very painful y'all. Cause I always looked at marriage a beautiful sacred thing and love each other beyond physical and being able to be your self with EVERYTHING . So please please please pray for us that we will get past this and do a work for the Lord. He's actually a preacher and I just was called as well.. I know God has called us to do something great for him. We both know the way . The old paths.. I have prayed and still are praying.. thank y'all

    Marie,

I am one of those that believes Jesus was crucified on a Friday and rose Sunday. My reasoning for this comes from the account given in John Chapter 19, and then the first verse in John Chapter 20. We know from Chapter 19 that He died on a Friday sometime between 3pm and 6pm.

John 19:31 gives us a clue as to the day Jesus was crucified. It had to be on a Friday because they had to be dead before the Sabbath day which would begin at 6pm on Friday and go to 6pm on Saturday. We see in Chapter 19 that they came to break the legs of all three because they were still alive. But when they came to Jesus to break His legs, He was already dead.

It was against Jewish tradition for anyone to be hanging on a cross on the Sabbath (Saturday). The book of Deuteronomy gives us a list of codes. One of them is that cursed is everybody that hangs on a tree, especially on the Sabbath Day.

John 20:1 begins by saying the first day of the week, but it literally says "the first of the Sabbath's," plural! In the scriptures, the Sabbath Day is singular, and the weekdays are plural. So you have the Sabbath Day, and then you have the Sabbath Days, which are used to denote the weekdays.

This is the first day of the week. This is Sunday. The scripture tells us that this Sunday is the first Sunday after Passover, which means the Sabbath of Saturday, the normal Sabbath, has passed. And now we are into Sunday. To understand the Friday to Sunday time frame, you have to count Friday as being day 1, Saturday, day 2, and then Sunday would be the 3rd day, the day Jesus rose.

    Hope this helps!

And too, could it be that the Heavenly Father is in great anger because humanity won't turn back to Him. Times after times after times He have sent warnings. He wants us to come back to Him. By repentance, that's the ONLY way. We can't come to the Father but by Jesus Christ.

We have seen plaque after plaque after plaque so now the whole world is in time out. From Genesis to Malachi, From Matthew to Rev. We still said, not now God. BUT God is saying, get in the corner and be quiet. It will leave to go out from under the blood, you may DIE. Stay inside and live.

Read Galatians 6:7 Read 2Peter 3:9 and of course Read 3:10.

Today's reading in 2 Chronicals Ch.34 & 35 is the most applicable to our Covid 19 plague that this very day is upon our world; so could it be that "Those Who Read Shall Not Fail"

(The most humble Prophet Isaiah's inspirational WARNING to all generations) in these most beautiful words, that should be our rallying call to do just that ..for during such a time when even "gathering together the faithful of The Lord" has been taken away from us; therefore, how profound that this day's reading, (and the forthcoming readings) will Bless Us All - as God's wrath is set aside; and soon we shall see Him in the clouds of Great Glory, proclaiming to His people:

"WELL DONE GOOD & FAITHFUL SERVANTS OF GOD" !!!!!

And until that moment, (as we wait on the Lord) may this Daily Reading and adherence to it, be the renewed and ultimate sacrificial fasting of all time - so Our God answers mightily - but let us do so without excuses, since many are now home-bound, and men's hearts are quaking (" earthquakes in many places ")

as was also prohecised ...and here we are, awaiting for the outcome of things, while the rest of the world remains in fear anxiously !!!

Let us remember also that "God wills that ALL be saved" - so let's pray fervently, my Borthers & Sisters who continue The Good fight, by putting on "The Armor Of God" DAILY WORD !!!

Greetings Kevin Mack I discovered this mess in the late 1980's when I saw Colonel Oliver North on C Span, in a room full of reporters, admit to congress they traded g uns to the Con tra's for coke with the Iran scandal. North admitted they sold the coke to turn it into cash. Wow they were drug dealers.

I waited for 2 weeks for this news to hit the papers and TV. Nothing happened. It was then I understood that the media was totally controlled. Oh and rep Prez Reagan was in charge then. Funny how the Dems said nothing about this scandal of drugs. They are all in this together with Satan himself in charge.

I was blessed with a Bible believer show me from the scriptures of the last antichrist beast system which would rule the world in the end times. Before I repented and came to Christ, I attended business college, and one thing I learned was how to do research, this before the internet was what it is today.

I was told that Zondervan, the largest printer of Bibles in the English speaking world, is owned by Harper Collins which prints sodomite books and the satan ic bible of the church of say tan. Yes the church of say tan exists. Think about that when you read Veggie tales bible stories to your children. They in turn are owned by the News Corporation which is known as FOX TV. I checked and this is true.

So why is not common knowledge in churches? I am not the only one who knows this? I have been told to leave churches over speaking out about this. Are they in on this? false doctrines? How deep does the rabbit hole go?

check your pastors for everything they say, sheep have no need for hirelings.

Modern Bibles are poison spiritually and the above is the reason.

    Eve and the Serpent

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that OLD SERPENT old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Was Eve really talking to a snake or with that OLD SERPENT who had been around for a long time?

(Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God)

Ezekiel Chapter 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

14 Thou art the ANOINTED anointed (angel) cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

15 Thou [wast] perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast CREATED created, till iniquity was found in thee.

(Created, not born shows this is an angel)

16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy BEAUTY beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Eve was possibly speaking to a beautiful creature who wished harm upon the Lord and all his creation.

David S Why is when the rapture / resurrection a hotly contested thing?

It was not even debated until 200 years ago. Look into the lives of those who promoted this doctrine, like C.I. Scofield and you might consider this very suspect. Jesus said by their fruit ye shall know them.

Jesus tells us plainly in Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed (weeds) tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from

    whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST first the TARES (WEEDS) tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

(first the tares WEEDS get gathered, then wheat last) could it be any more plain than this?

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying,

Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

    37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

    38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

Those mentioned in Job were stars. Orion is a constellation, often called the hunter.

"Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south."

Arcturus is a red giant star in the Northern Hemisphere of Earth's sky and the brightest star in the constellation Botes (the herdsman). Arcturus is among the brightest stars that can be seen from Earth.

The Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters, is a bright object in the night sky with many a story in ancient mythology.

I was actually a member of the Southern Cross Astronomical society with the Miami Museum of science and space Planetarium when I was younger. I enjoyed looked at the creation and then discovered the creator.

Shawn, on that week there was the "high sabbath" which was related to a Jewish festival and the regular weekly sabbath. So the week of Jesus' crucifixion had not one but two sabbaths.
  • Mary Jane Humes - In Reply on John 19 - 5 years ago
    Hello Marie,

Jesus said in Matthew 12:40 "For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Tradition - not scripture - puts Him crucified on a Friday.

Also know that He was crucified on a high sabbath - John 19:31 - so Jesus was crucified on a Wednesday during the day. Therefore He was in the grave Wednesday night (1st night), Thursday day (1st day), Thursday night (2nd night), Friday day (2nd day), Friday night (3rd night), Saturday (3rd day) and He from the grave after the third day. You are right that a new day begins a 6PM. We are not sure the exact time of the day that Jesus arose but it was after the third day and third night of being in the grave.

    (Continued from part 1)

So, something like traffic doesn't cause your emotion, but your interpretation of the traffic does. So, instead of cause-effect, it's actually 3 separate things:

    1. The event (the thing, like traffic)

    2. Your interpretation of it (this is unfair, you're inconvenienced, it buys you time to shave or talk on the phone, or you're trying to kill time anyway so it's good.

    3. Emotion, based on your interpretation. Happy, sad, anger, etc.

Why is this important? Because you can change your interpretation of things, and in doing so you can change your emotion (like anger). This can be a breakthrough insight.

Statements like 'she makes me so angry' or 'their actions make me angry' are false. No one makes you angry. You do, because of how you interpreted something. Sometimes people interpret things as personal verbal attacks when they aren't, for example. How do you change your interpretation? You challenge it. You cast a big spotlight on it and ask a variety of questions to see if an interpretation is rational or not.

For example, is my current belief/interpretation rational? Did my wife really have ill intent when she said or did x? Is there another possible explanation for it? What would someone I highly respect view this? What would Jesus interpret it? How would someone unconditionally loving interpret it? What if what I currently believe/interpret isn't true? ETC.

Start keeping an awareness meter and give yourself periodic checkups. How am I on a 0-10 scale? 0 total peace, 10 rage/anger. If you notice yourself going from a 2 to a 3, be aware of it, remove yourself from the situation. Ask yourself why am I responding this way? What about this situation have I interpreted to be negative? Is there another way I can think of it? How would Billy Graham view this? How would Jesus look at it? What if it wasn't negative, but positive? What about this is an opportunity? Etc...

Also, bathe yourself in prayer and time with God and time in the Word. Read 1 Corinthians 13.

    May God bless you!

Rodney, I will pray for you (and I'm sure others on this site)- thanks for taking the risk to share this. It sounds like you know these actions are sinful and evil. If you feel emotions like guilt, shame, remorse that's appropriate given the assault committed. It's possible you grew up in a dysfunctional household where your dad or someone else modeled this for you as if 'normal', but it sounds like you know it's not and very wrong. It's hard for someone like me to read this as I've been single and lonely my entire life and have been praying patiently for a wife as I advance in years. And not only have you been hugely blessed to have wife, but even more to have a child too, which is a treasure. So, if I was blessed with a wife and child I would share so much outpouring of love and kindness and respect to them it would never stop. Love that I have been unable to share my whole life- and you have these two blessings in front of you, but instead of absolutely loving them it sounds like something is triggering you to try to destroy them. This is hard for someone like me to comprehend.

For preventing this in the future your own awareness is a strong start, and asking for prayers is huge. Suggest finding someone you can talk to regularly about this, whether a life coach or therapist. And if you really want to change you can and will. Let me offer a concept that might be helpful to someone who believes they can't control their anger, and this concept can be a life changing realization.

No one makes you angry. No one causes an emotion in another. Nothing makes you angry.

Those statements may sound false, but they are true and I will now prove it. Have you ever heard someone say traffic makes them angry? The problem with this statement is not everyone is angry. Some in their cars who look calm, some sing in their car, some talking with others. While in traffic if you learned you won the lottery would you still be angry? Probably not. See part 2...
