Look at Psalms 91:6 again!
It says that, "pestilence walks in darkness"!
That darkness is, "spiritual darkness".
The Covid-19 pestilence, came forth into this physical realm because there was too much "spiritual darkness" in the world, and too much "spiritual darkness" in too many of the churches around the world.
The main foundation of that "spiritual darkness", is the rejection of the Spiritual Light of Genesis 1:26,27, that tells very clearly that, The Image And Likeness Of God is, Spiritually Male(The Father), and Spiritually Female(The Mother), and Then They produce Spiritual Children, Sons and Daughters who have spiritual and physical life eternally. The Holy Spirit is, God The Mother who gives birth to Spiritual Children, for Her and God The Father.
YET, too many churches are teaching and preaching the opposite. The are preaching and teaching that God is, God The Father(male), God The Son(male), and God The Holy Spirit (male), and these three spiritual males produce and give birth to children. This is "spiritual darkness " and the spiritual disorder that causes disorder in the minds of men, which brings forth all kinds of wickedness, evil and destruction into the world.
The time is NOW for all you people who are called by God's to REPENT of this evil, and accept The Light of who God is.
God is, Father and Mother of The Family. This is the Perfect Spiritual Order, that renews the mind and bring order to the world.
''But if our unrighteousness serves to show the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unrighteous to inflict wrath on us? ''( english standard version bible )
how can our unrighteousness will demonstrate gods righteousness?
abner knows that killing asahel will provoke jovab.
Verse 35, JESUS clearly educate us on a kinsman relationship made by JEHOVAH /GOD, and it supersedes any earthly kinfolks relationship, thereby through SALVATION / John 3:16-21 we have Heavenly family members that will not be seen until we all gather at the MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.
You are deceived!
However, what we do know is that the millennial reign will commence some seven years after the rapture about which we do not know the timing. So effectively, the scripture in Matthew and Mark may refer to either or both. As we don't know when the rapture will take place, we cannot know about the timing of millennium either. The real mystery is why is it that does Christ not know and more importantly, how He does not know.
God was apparently satisfied with Job's conduct of his life & bringing up his family. So Satan comes to God after roaming the Earth (presumably to try to find someone to 'trip up' into sin). He probably found none, as all were involved in something sinful. This must have come up in Satan's conversation with God, which prompted God to say that His servant Job was unlike any other: an upright man who fears Me & hates evil. And so the account goes on to reveal God allowing Satan to have his way with Job, except to take his life (Satan must have received special licence to take life for this testing, that which is reserved for God only). And we know how, through much physical & mental difficulty, Job came through the temptations to still worship & honour God.
So, I see this account, though factual, as one that speaks to me of why sufferings may come to all of us. Why does God permit it? And does God have a purpose in it? The answers to these questions can only be found in the Bible, as any human opinion will invariably be wrong. All pain & suffering comes to us because we are sinners & live in a World affected by the fall of man ( Rom 3:23, 8:18). God permits it to the point of His set limitation ( 1 Cor 10:13), because suffering is a natural part of a fallen existence. If we didn't have pain, hardship & suffering, then we would be a perfect people living in a perfect World. Our sufferings prove to us the condition of our soul. Does God have a purpose in it? Of course to show us our fallen state, but also to alert us to the Way that is open for us to be forgiven for our sins ( Jn 3:16, 14:6), that brings on suffering. Do Christians not suffer then? We do suffer, but we now have the Lord Who keeps us & helps us through our trials ( Psalm 46 is precious), giving us an eternal hope that keeps our spirits strong, when the physical frame deteriorates.
CLEAVE UNTO cleave to;

2 adhere to, hold to, cling to, stand by, abide by, be loyal to, be faithful to, remain true to.
adhere strongly to (a particular pursuit or belief): part of why we cleave to sports is that excellence is so measurable.
become very strongly involved with or emotionally attached to (someone):
I love the word "cleave to or unto" as right from the start that is what a man is suppose to do; and i don't see why they can get that confused and treat their wives different; and still they do and some even believe and or interpret it differently in other parts of The Bible; but believe me; every word in the Bible is consistent and compatible and add up the same where ever you see it.
What does intrigue me is what did this serpent look like in his un-cursed state ( Gen 3:14)? We know 'it' was an animal, but apparently had the power of speech as Satan occupied its body, & was unlikely to be in the form of a snake, as we know it. And Adam & Eve showed no surprise that an animal would be able to talk to them: did other animals talk, or did they not know that this serpent was a 'one-off' & had a special gift of speech? I wonder what a serpent in this account actually looked like? Was it already a long, thin animal that moved in an upright manner? Too many questions that come to mind: we can only wonder & speculate. It was only after the curse, that it began to slither on its belly.
If I look at each of the references on these 24 Elders, we see: they sat around God's Throne, in white raiment, wearing gold crowns. Jesus was seen in the midst of the Elders. They knew the people arrayed in white who stood around the Throne as those coming out of great tribulation. They were redeemed by God, so experienced His Salvation. They always fell before the Throne in adoration & worship.
What then do we make of their origin? Taking those Scriptures that speak of them, it seems that they could have comprised those saints of old (whether patriarchs, or apostles, or special leaders of the Churches). They wore crowns, of which Paul, Peter, James & John speak of in: Phil 4:1; 1 Thes 2:19; 2 Tim 2:5, 4:8; James 1:12; 1 Pet 5:4; Rev 2:10, signifying that they were recognized for their faithfulness & ministry on Earth. Their special position in the midst of God's Throne, unlike the other saints, indicates a place of recognition & privilege, but noting, they always fell before the One Who lives forever, in worship & praise for His Work of redemption.
So armed with those Scriptures on the Elders, one would have to form one's own opinion as to who they were specifically. They were certainly not identified with the angels or other beings in Heaven, but were there from the company of the redeemed.
After Adam & Eve sinned & through them sin was passed onto all people, as the initial population multiplied, their transmitted genes would have become further diverse as the gene pool increased. This would have led to abnormal mutations within humans, producing severe deformities. Man would have stopped interbreeding long before God's law was given against this ( Lev 20), but this initial interbreeding, which would have had negative medical effects had it been allowed to continue, would have gone on for some time for the population of the Earth. Yes, we are all inter-related going back to Adam & Even, but after the Flood, our relationship to our forerunners are more correctly, towards Noah & his offspring.
This speaks to me that there could have been some there who despised God & Moses to such an extent, that even though they got bitten, they would have refused to look upon the snake on the pole, as if to say, "I don't believe in this God of Israel or His servant Moses, so I would rather die than submit". This is the same stubbornness that grips the unsaved: they hear of God's love, they hear of the Sacrifice of His Son for sin, but refuse to look upon Him in faith for spiritual healing, simply because they don't believe in His Plan & would rather perish in hell than submit to the Holy One.
What was His purpose
Constantine (in 321 AD) did make Sunday worship 'official', the Nicea Council may also have had bearing on this, but was this when Sunday was adopted as the worship day for Christians? Again, I refer you to Acts 20:7 & Rev 1:10, which are clear, & to 1 Cor 16:2, which speaks of Paul's desire to collect from the Churches gifts that were to be given to the poor saints in Jerusalem. So on the first day of the week (Sunday), as the Corinthian Church gave of their gifts to the work there, they should also put aside extra (according to God's provision) for the poor saints. Whether they held onto these special gifts or put it into a common repository is unknown, but Paul wanted no 'mad dash' for collecting the gifts when he came to visit them.
Your further remarks on the Sabbath, I have dealt with, saying earlier, that "Jesus is now our Sabbath, our Spiritual Rest. Please be assured, that I'm not picking & choosing which commandments to obey, I follow biblical teaching within the bounds of law & grace: that CHRIST IS THE FULFILMENT OF GOD'S LAWS.
I believe what the bible says and I believe the bible is God's word. God said to "Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy". I don't think it trivial to follow what is in the 10 Commandments. Jesus said if you love me, keep my commandments. Revelation14:12 "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus". Jesus is our example, he went into the temple as was His custom on the seventh day.
I am not judging anyone or trying to offend anyone. Jesus did not say to change the commandments in honor of his resurrection, He said keep my commandments. Jesus said if you offend in one, then you offend in all. Do we say it is ok to kill, lie or steal? No we don't. Why do we keep the traditions of man above what God has plainly stated and written by His own hand on two tablets of stone?
First of all, thanks for responding.
Okay, your definition of betrayal makes perfect sense to me. I can see how it would relate to being betrayed by a friend. However, if I were to place Judas in the category of friend or true believer, I would say friend, but with extreme hesitation.
I would say Judas exercised his "free will" to be evil the entire 3 years of Christ's ministry. If Judas was ever a true believer or friend, Jesus never mentioned him in a positive way. In fact, the only time Jesus makes reference to Judas, he calls him a devil. Doesn't sound like much of a friendship to me! And I highly doubt that Jesus would ever call a true believer a devil.
Of course Judas was part of the group that Jesus chose, but calling him a true believer does not fit. A true believer would not steal from the group. Judas did.
If Judas exercised his "free will" to leave the faith as you are saying, the bible says he showed remorse. He was so remorseful that he even tried giving the 30 pieces of silver back. And the remorse was so unbearable that he killed himself. If he was that remorseful for exercising his "free will" to betray Christ, why didn't he use his "free will" to ask Christ for forgiveness?
Jesus chose Judas because he needed an evil person to fulfil the prophecy given in Zechariah Chapter 11 Verse 12. Jesus knew ahead of time that He would be betrayed. And He knew it would be Judas when He chose him.
It's such a blessing for me to know that Christ knows what I'm going to do tomorrow and every day of my life after that. He even knows the day I'm going to die. He knows! I don't have a clue what my days might bring, but He knows, just like He knew it would be Judas who would betray Him when He chose Judas.
The word faith in James Chapter 2 is talking about Spiritual faith. There are two types of faith, human faith, and Spiritual faith. Spiritual faith is only produced by God's Spirit. We can't produce it. The word faith literally means persuasion. And the word works literally means activity. And if you put faith (persuasion) and activity together, you realize that it is God's Spirit in you that is doing the work.
James 2:8 says if ye fulfil the royal law, and this is the same as the law of liberty. It's called Torah or Kingdom Law. Royal means belonging to the king. But if you fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, and this is found Leviticus 19:18, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, and then he says you do well:
In Matthew 22:37, Jesus said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. I'd like to point out two things. Number one, the term "Thou shalt love" is not in command form. That is a Future Active Indicative in the Greek text. It is it is not a command. It is a factual statement. You will love! Secondly, believers are supposed to love one another. But, neither in the Old Testament, nor in the New Testament, is it in command form.
As a matter of fact, the command in the Old Testament is (YOU WILL) love the Lord your God, and (YOU WILL) love your neighbor as yourself. It's a factual statement, not a command. Jesus is not commanding us to go out and to love. He's stating fact, that if we have His Spirit, WE WILL love. It's His Spirit in us that produces Agape love. We cannot produce Agape. That's why we have to understand that if we have His Spirit in us, WE WILL love. Factual statement!
It comes from Deut. Chapter 6, the chapter that has the SHEMA, the prayer that's prayed every morning and evening by Orthodox Jews. In that prayer, they recite the fact that God says that I will put my Spirit in you, and I will put my laws on your heart, and you will love the Lord your God.
Malachi Chapter 1:1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? [Was] not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
And I hated Esau, And I hated Esau there was a reason why the Lord hated Esau. long study.
