The king James says "in the sight of the Lord" Other versions say "before the Lord"

What is the significance of humble ourselves in the sight of the lord. Is it position or place?

I would say that our life Today, is the reason for the baptism in Matthew 28:19-20.

The first thing God did was create TIME. He is the Alpha and the Omega: the beginning and the End. Original language here says 'In Beginning'. Not: In The Beginning

God exists inside and outside of time. He sees everything.

We're not under the law. Find proof in Matthew chapter 5. Jesus was teaching that some basic principals were still in force.

If either one is cheating sexually then grounds for divorce are established. Men are not held less accountable.

If the man is violently beating his wife she can leave the marriage. Christians are called to be at PEACE. Also, as much as is possible be at peace with everyone.

If a legal separation or divorce results, the Bible mentions a time for reconciliation. Ecclesiastes...rend and mend.

If divorce happens and no reconciliation, The mother of the children is best off raising her kids alone till they're of majority. Don't tell the kids "who caused the divorce"; it only causes problems. Keep it secret.

If she remarries she needs to NOT ALLOW the stepfather to act as if the children are biologically his. It causes problems. If kids need correction, then the mother administers it. Husband supports her decisions. Kids are geniuses at playing insecure parents against each other.

If you can't accomplish that, then ladies do not marry again till kids are launched.

I may not be Dr Phil but this way WORKS. We are Christians. Dr Phil ministers the world principals, to the world. Worldly people are clueless about Gods Word.

The dialogue is from the beginning, in 2Peter 3:3, and by verse 8; the KJVReader is on the fourth day, looking to the fifth day and sixth day with the six, "thousand years," in Revelation 20:2-7."
  • Kenneth Redden - In Reply on Isaiah 43:11 - 5 years ago
As well, I've not given any further comment on 2 Pet 3:8, as I believe that I've given the natural & logical understanding of that verse as it ties in with the preceding verses, esp, vv 3 & 4.

The dialogue is from the beginning, in 2Peter 3:3, and by verse 8 the KJVReader is on the fourth day, looking to the fifth day and sixth day in Revelation 20:1-7.

This interpretation comes from Paul's demonstration of the "hidden," wisdom of God, 1Co 2:4 & 7 KJV.

    Hello Paul,

Matt. 28:19-20 is speaking of water baptism. However, water baptism does not save a person. There has to be a spiritual baptism or Spiritual birth. Back in Matt. 3:11, John says, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

You see, John baptized with water. But Christ baptizes with the Holy Spirit (Salvation), and with fire. And fire baptism is a baptism of judgment. That's not the baptism we want! A person who gets water baptized should already be saved. Water baptism is a testimony before others that there has been an inward change in their life (Spirit baptism).

I hope this is what you are asking. If, not I would be happy to respond back if you're looking for something else.

For our Bible study, we need to study 2 Corinthians 4: 15-18 can you please send me something to study or to discuss in class?
  • Kenneth Redden - In Reply on Isaiah 43:11 - 5 years ago
I quoted John 19:30 to show how I know Christ's work is finished. The KJVB is about the history of the days of Creation, as introduced in Genesis 1. "Sin," in the KJVB, is anything not compliant with the laws of the creation of this Universe. Information about the hidden wisdom of God may be found with the ten times, "from the beginning," occurs in KJVText, after the book of Proverbs, 1Co 2:7.

Amen that's a good thing , I guess what I was trying to ask is when you are baptized should you be baptized in the name of the Father in the Son and the Holy Spirit or in the name of Jesus ?

Thanks for sharing that Chris. I would definitely go with your answer over mine. Yours is more sincere. I hope this is what Cyndi was looking for. Either way, I was enlightened by your answer. O.T. is definitely not one of my strong areas, so there's much I can learn there, and I appreciate you sharing your knowledge.

Thank you for the reply! Your answer, in part, is that there were three persons in the beginning. Please, what do you mean by 'beginning'?
  • Jesse - In Reply on Isaiah 15 - 5 years ago
John, if someone comes to you claiming to be a "prophet of God" and says that God revealed something to them, ask them to show you in the bible where Jesus or Paul taught it. If it's not in the bible, it is not true, and that person is a false prophet. I had a person come to me once claiming to be a "prophet of God," and they told me that God gave them a message.

My response to them was "Good for you, but He didn't give me that message, so it doesn't do me any good. You see, if God wants to reveal something to any of us, He doesn't need to go through someone claiming to be a prophet in order to give us the message. Besides that, the Apostle John was the last true prophet!

One other thing to think about: If someone says God revealed something to them that is not already in the bible, then it should be added to the bible, right? I mean, if God said, then it's His word. But we are warned against that because we already have the complete prophecy of God in written form. Next time a "prophet of God" comes to you with a message and he/she cannot show you in scripture, tell them that they need to add it. You'll probably get a very puzzled look from them, and they will not be willing to go that far!

    Hi Chris,

Daniel does not say if this was a separation or a divorce. But if it were a divorce, and it was for the cause of fornication on the wife's part, would he be free to marry then? I know she would not be, but what about him? Your thoughts, please!

When you enter this website, type: IN HEAVEN. Go through the verses. You will learn much.

If you truly look around at earth and see all the variety of things God made, how could you not know now, that heaven is beautiful. Lots to do there.

Personally I think we will see our loved ones who are there already. I don't think they sit on bleachers watching us every day. There's a veil between us and them for now.

There is no marriage or old boyfriends or girlfriends. Heaven is not earthy.

You need to be forthcoming with why you want to know if we will know and recognize each other. Would you go to hell if you thought a loved one was there?

That movie 'What Dreams May Come', is just that: a script someone dreamed up and turned into a movie.

I want to see Jesus! That's my desire. Whatever happens after that is all full of wonder I am sure. Really peer at earth and universe photos and see what you see.
