And "Interpretation": if a message is given verbally or in writing, it should be understood in its natural, logical meaning. If the author or speaker wishes to veil his message with other meanings/imagery/innuendo/& such like, then as free as he is to do so, it leaves the reader/listener mystified as to what is being said. Therefore, the need for a further interpretation: (enter Kenneth), who would then enlighten his readers further to its meaning. But the question (& the primary thrust of my initial enquiry with you) is, on what basis can you reinterpret the message, for all reinterpretations require a source (hopefully, a reliable one), so that one can make clear & logical judgements/decisions on what is being said. I understand, to a small extent, on what you've said, but I see no connection or corollary to the clear intent of what is written in the Bible.
As well, I've not given any further comment on 2 Pet 3:8, as I believe that I've given the natural & logical understanding of that verse as it ties in with the preceding verses, esp, vv 3 & 4.
If you draw close to God; he will draw close to you. Sit with Him, sing praises to Him..even if it's Amazing Grace. I like a song: Only in God. If you truly have a question...ask the Holy Spirit. One aspect of His work is to teach you :)
Pray for a teachable spirit. When He tells you something, Date it and Write it down.
I went through a long spell when God went quiet; didn't speak to me. You wouldn't believe all the insecurities that float to the surface. If you're kinda punchy, He'll work that out of you. You learn to wait on the Lord.

I think it is important to read the bible in order to grow spiritually in Christ. Growth comes through continuous reading and studying of the scripture. Also, without reading the bible, how are we to know if what we are being taught is true? We have to search the scriptures in order to test all things to see if what is presented to us is the truth. It's just like exercising, if we don't exercise, eventually our muscles will weaken. We grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through a continuous study of His word. There can be no growth without reading and studying. In fact, the bible tells us that when we leave off from studying God's word, we become dull of hearing. In other words, there will be no growth, and the things we learned and once knew, we will begin to forget. That is why I feel it's important to stay in the word.
Thank You Chris,
Kenneth
Returning to our world on the 1st day of the week, after sundown Saturday, the beginning of the 1st day of the week we call Sunday. After being chosen 4 days earlier (Palm Sunday or Sat. the 10th day of the Hebrew month of Nisan scripturally, this year, God's Lunar based calendar overlay these days/dates this year exactly!)
Kol Tuv i.e. be well

I like your reply
Why would there be a time time to kill if the bible teaches love one another above all things. What does this verse actually mean or what did it truly mean when it was written? Why would this be in the bible?
One of the ten commandments states thou shalt not murder.
While reading the bible and trying to figure out Ecc. 3:3, I find it disturbing.
Thank you for addressing this email.

In John 10:30, Jesus says, "I and my Father are one."
Verse 31 does not use the word Father because the Jews took up stones to stone Jesus for saying I and my Father are one.
The Jews understood the phrase "I and my Father are one" as Jesus claiming to be equal to God Himself. That's why they took up stones.
But did you notice that Jesus didn't deny it? He never said "Wait a minute guys, before you stone me, I think you might have misunderstood me." The Jews knew exactly what Jesus meant!
