(From earlier comment). Secondly, God is not asleep or disinterested in what goes on here. And we also need to remember that unlike our view of death (its pain & finality), God's regards it as a transition from this life (which He has given anyway) into the next life ( Rev 21:4). Suffering & death comes to ALL of us because of our sin nature (& that includes innocent children). Had sin not come & been imputed upon all, none would suffer & die. So our humanistic view of life is narrow & clouded - we need to see it from God's perspective. We see the innocent child in death, the aged man getting mugged & killed for spare change, or the young bride diagnosed with cancer, & we ask, 'where is God in all this, could He not have prevented this from happening?" Could He not prevent other world tragedies from taking place over the centuries? Yes He could but He won't - we reap what we sow & even though deserving of Hell, He still gives a Way of escape.

The other writer (Rei) essentially questioned that a criminal's punishment in this life or hereafter is insufficient to give comfort. Your point (as with his) is that "could not God have stepped in & done something to prevent the crime on the little one?" Well firstly, it's not enough for criminals to only go to their Judge for punishment; they need punishment here on Earth too by the law, which invariably is inadequate & meaningless (I won't go into Capital Punishment). Dear servant of God, I am asking you blessed children of Jehovah to pray for me against the spirit of darkness. I am not married and have a problem of masturbating and of sleeping with different ladies. I also have a problem of drinking alcohol and smoking, please help me out, I want to live for Jesus and be used by the Holy spirit. Thank you.

Most Bible-believing Christians don't believe in evolution. Genesis says how life began, and some people here are claiming things that are contradictory to scripture. Adapting is different than evolving into an entirely different species which no one has ever witnessed. Some claim that a bacterium does, but that's adapting. It would also be a stretch to claim that a larva into a butterfly is 'evolution'. It's metamorphosis is exactly as God designed it and His creation is absolutely amazing. So much so that mankind is without excuse for not believing as the evidence is all around us. Romans 1:20. It's unthinkable that people pretend that an explosion from nothing caused by nothing and designed by nothing made the most incredibly brilliantly made life and habitat designed better than the brightest human minds could ever imagine, then simultaneously male and female and food sources all were designed too. Amazing how easily people can be deceived into believing this.

Jesse, just wanted to thank you for your great posts (the last two specifically): I concur fully with your stand, in that God makes no mistakes - if He saves us, then His Salvation is complete & perfect. Nothing more can be added to guarantee or perfect it & if a believer errs in sin, the Spirit is quick to alert us & longs for our repentance & restoration. I think where we fail as Christians, is that we take it on ourselves to make a final judgement on who is a Christian. Often lovely spiritual words, buoyant ministry, & even demonstration of the Christ's graces leads us to accept that person as a brother or sister. When in reality, we are not called to judge others (in any form), but rather to judge ourselves as Paul did daily ( 1 Cor 9:24-27). Not that we should not consider each other as family, but ever remembering that it is only the Lord Who knows our hearts & we have not been put in a place of judgement of hearts by Him.

Concerning the Rapture. Mat 24:40 - Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Mat 24:41 - Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Mat 24:42 - Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

do you know the WICKED were TAKEN and Noah was LEFT BEHIND at the end of the flood.

Luke 17:26 - And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

The WICKED were TAKEN and Noah was LEFT BEHIND

Paul in 1 Cor 15:52 - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST TRUMP: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

We are changed at the LAST TRUMP and where is this found?

In REVELATION, the LAST BOOK of the Bible there are 7 trumps and the 7th trump is the LAST ONE and is at the end of the tribulation. Jesus said we had to endure to the end.

Wow!! Are you saying that Mt 24:5 speaks about some who come to confirm that Jesus is the Christ, & in saying this are deceiving many? I hope not. Cause if you are, then you've given a classic example of Scripture twisting or an inability to grasp English fully. Also see Mt 24:24.

However, if I've misunderstood you & my apologies, then I can't see what your other point is. Clarification please? And the 'two possibilities': no answer, I give up.

Angela: Rededicate your life to Jesus. Sometimes we need to pray with someone.

After I was born again, a church member prayed with me. She said, you are forgiven,

About 30 times. I got up a new person.

Linda, China is not mentioned specifically anywhere in the Bible, though one can be compelled to believe that our present distress with the virus' origin & in a future time, it will play a more major role which affects nations. The Bible speaks of a future time when the 6th Angel pours out his Vial ( Rev 16:12) on the River Euphrates & it dries up, preparing the way of the kings of the East. For some years, the New Silk Road has been in preparation by China, mainly for better access to its increasing trade with the Middle East. This is a road that will span the whole length. It is often believed that this road will be used by China in fulfilment of this prophecy (v12), but this is only conjecture & should not be accepted as fact. Then in Dan 11:21ff, the prophet speaks of Antiochus Epiphanes' anger towards the Jews & then reference to his archtype, Antichrist (vv36-45), whose reign will be governed through the use of force, with some nations coming against him including from the East.

You should communicate your sexual needs to your husband - And get a clear answer from him on your need for ( the "D" ) at times. His sex drive may not be at a level that he seeks what you seek. It is in communication. If you don't communicate your marriage will disintegrate.

It just about made me fall down: John 12:38-32. "Then came there a voice from heaven, I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.

The people therefore that stood by, and HEARD it, said that it thundered: and others said, an angel spake to Him. Jesus answered and said, This Voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince (Satan) of this world be CAST OUT. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

Some of you should know that in original language, there is man (male); and there is woman (man with a womb).

No confusion there. If you have a womb then you're female. If you have it cut out, you're still female. If you have male parts and it's removed, you're still male.

We all know who is the author of confusion is....satan. He thinks he has you but not so. You can still give your heart and SOUL to Jesus and be born again.

Time now to get into THE ARK, which is Jesus Christ, the Savior

    Part two comment:

Was it all a creation experiment that got scrapped and restarted? We know something huge hit the earth and killed all the dinosaurs, everything. All we have left is bone, rock, vegetation evidence and oil. What are people fighting about on earth? Oil, water, elements. What Lucifer/Satan meant for confusion and evil was destroyed by God. God created the solar system: and how is it that only earth supports life? The earth is the Lords and everything in it. Satan no longer has the title deed to this Earth. He lost it at THE CROSS. He does cause the humans much grief though. He does the bad things. He is facing Hell and he knows his time is short! Revelation on earth is going to be beyond brutal. Give your heart, mind and soul to Jesus now!! Quit playing scientist. I'm sure Satan loves it. He's got you... until you decide to Awake Sleeper. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. People didn't believe because of the Pharisees.

Got up today in prayer about this whole debate about creation vs evolution. All day felt the nearness of the Holy Spirit. This evening He gave some Light on this. It's up to you to listen.

The Holy Spirit said: If I be lifted up..

The scripture is John 12:32. (Read John 12:23-50 for continuity)

In Genesis, GOD CREATED: 2 humans and all kinds of animal creatures. He blessed them and called it VERY good. No mutations. Any of you that believe in your hearts & brains, that God created mistakes and mutations, is not saved. That is an ACCUSATION and you must know who the accuser is (satan). Your mind is blinded. John 12:40.

All this business of missing links, mutations, DNA similarities is unholy. Satan was thrown to earth by Michael the archangel. That event is recorded in one of the prophetic Books. We don't know how long he was loose on the earth creating his own evil ie: dinosaurs, pre-adamic peoples. We have bones. Did God say EVER that He did that?

    Part one comment
  • Paul on Psalms 83 - 5 years ago
In telling Moses to tell the Israelites that 'I am' sent you, God was saying that He really did exist and although He had not yet revealed Himself to be the God of Israel in an absolutely certain way, He would by means of the 10 plagues and the destruction of the Egyptian army in The Red Sea. And aside from latter, the nation would have understood Moses in exactly this way.
  • Portia on Romans 9 - 5 years ago
God's word says that we were born in sin and shaped in iniquity. Except for Jesus, who initiates our faith to believe so that we will repent, no church, nor the gospel, at this time, can save a person. Go has His "elect" who he alone will call, just as he called Abram. Moses, Paul, Peter, and others did not hear the gospel before they were saved. Jesus alone saves a person. Therefore, no man can naturally call on the Lord on his/her own. unless God bids them come unto Him. For scripture also says. no man seeks after God no not one. After that. they turn and hear the gospel.

Yes Erma, a very sad story indeed. How foolish was Jephthah ( Judg 11:13-39) in making such a vow. I think, could he not have vowed to the LORD something else, knowing the likelihood of a family member coming through the door? And v 40 confirms her demise, in that "the daughters of Israel went each year to lament (the death) of Jephthah's daughter". Doesn't it speak to us about what we say or affirm to? Just to note: Adah is not mentioned as his daughter in the Bible; you may have picked it up from some extra-biblical source.
