Hello again Eric. I would ask for your forgiveness if what I wrote seemed impersonal by just throwing Bible verses out to you. My intent was only to share what I know to be true, as I love you as a brother even though I don't know you. When I first saw your post, I couldn't help thinking that you were searching for something and I truly want you to find the peace that only Jesus can give.

I've read the Bible thru MANY times. Just finished the book of Deuteronomy and now in the book of Joshua. How many one parent homes are women with their children collecting goverment subsidies and child support, that failed to do her God given duties and the man couldn't handle her feminism any more and left her? Feminists are taking over. God does NOT like feminism at all. You keep coming up with all kinds of Comments, but not a single verse of scripture to back up tou point. I have every time

  • Bob Hilt - In Reply on James 1 - 5 years ago
Jennifer God does show favoritism in some instances. God chose Jacob Israel and rejected his brother Esau

Hebrews Chapter 12:16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

Abraham had a son named Ishmael and the Lord rejected him as the seed of promise

Genesis Chapter 21: 10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, [even] with Isaac.

11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham's sight because of his son. (Ishmael)

12 And God said unto Abraham, Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Sorry for a late reply but I only saw t your reply today.Thank you for doing so.

I believe in Heaven and that we can go there and we can become angels; however, I would agree that no one orders angels around. I will however search Angels to see what the bible says.

I don't understand your question. God made man and then made woman; and of course it may say it a little different as the Bible was written a long time ago; but I can't understand how you say that the they commuted and made God??? God is the head of man' and man is the head of woman; however, be careful how you treat that woman as no where does it say you boss her or order her etc. She was made for man as it is not good for man to live alone; and you have to treat her good; as if it comes from God; it is good; and so; Don't misinterpret as some men do. Treat her right. I may have misunderstood your question but it seemed to be referring to something like that. Sorry if it is not what you were referring to. Have a great and wonderful day.

Jesus is not talking about all believers. In Verse 14 to Verse 18, you can see that Jesus is commissioning the 11 before sending them out. They are the ones that will do these things, not just casting out demons, but all the things listed in Verses 17 and 18. It was for the 11 that Jesus was sending out.

We see the confirmation in Verse 20 where the 11 went forth, confirming the word with signs following.

Hebrews 2:2 tells us that when the apostles went out and preached that there were signs that followed in order to establish the apostles preaching as the gospel of God. And that is what he is saying here.

There were various signs that were worked by Jesus through the disciples in order to confirm the message they were hearing is the gospel. It doesn't say every person that believes down through history is going to manifest all these various things, but rather, for the confirmation of the establishment of the Word of God, which we have with us today. Therefore, we don't need signs!

Christ missionary service begins with dealing with the adversary. Many new Christians in their journey will experience these same trials. It is part of our growing experience, in knowing the fundamentals of being a child of God.These temps. could be a number of things ,even addictions. These are the basics in the reality of life in the spirit.Christ uses gods word to rebuke Satan. He knows the word, because He is the word.We must put on the whole Armour of God. That ye may withstand the wiles of the devil. We see then a time that the angels come and minister unto him, then being directed by the spirit to do and go where He pleased. Overcoming Satan and his wiles is indeed a part of a Christian followers life. You cannot overcome Satan without the word of God .Satan is determined to control your flesh at all cost. Be sure of one thing that you will not always win! Christ conquered Satan while here on earth and for eternity.Satan days are numbered. Christ died for you and is with you always

Dear Rosanna, can you explain what you mean by the KJV 'changed'? Are you claiming the meaning has changed and trying to discredit the KJV Bible? If so, what is your evidence for that? Have you prayed to God to ask if this is true and if this comes from Him, or perhaps from another source?

Instead if you are claiming not that the meaning has changed but that between the first printing in 1611 AD and today that some words have changed to keep up with the English language changes, then I agree with you. The English language itself has changed substantially in this 400+ year time and naturally Bibles would need to adjust to keep the meaning the same. English was more similar to Latin 400 years ago, like I = J, U = V. More info: Link

There is only one God. However, God is a Triune God, i.e. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All three make up one God, and all three are God. It's sort of like water can have three forms, solid (Ice), liquid (water), and Gas (Vapor). Also, where did Jesus say that tongues is the evidence of the born again experience, and where did He say it was necessary?

Sir, she did not say she was pastoring a church. Had she of said that, then my position would be different. I don't believe that women teaching children in Sunday school is wrong, unless of course men are mixed in with the children, then we have a problem.

1 Cor. 14:34-35, Let your women keep silence in the churches, and if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

The word woman in scripture is also the word for wife, which meets the criteria for here. Let your women, or wives, keep silence in the churches:

Paul is talking about women being disruptive. It has nothing to do with teaching. In the early church, they had men on one side and the women on the other. Men could not be with women, and women could not be with men.

Somebody is up there teaching, and somebody's wife is over on the other side going "Hey Fred, do you agree with that? What do you think?" They are talking across the room, being disruptive!

Ever hear of Deborah the prophetess and judge? Judges 4:4 And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. I suppose when the Lord can not find a man worthy for the job, he will send a woman. I would rather learn from a Godly woman, than a heretic man, which the church world is full of today. Yes I know what Paul writes.

    Who taught Timothy? 2 Timothy Chapter 1:3 I thank God, whom I serve from [my] forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

    4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

Scott do not fall for that older more reliable manuscripts garbage. Who controls the dead sea scrolls? Those who deny Jesus as the Christ which makes them Antichrists. They refuse to allow Christian scholars access to these documents. They tell us what these documents say. Besides the King James in based on the majority texts which has over 5,000 fragments that match each other. these supposedly older texts do not match each other and are missing entire books. I believe the Lord kept his words pure and preserved them.

If you want to believe Antichrists telling us things do not belong in the King James Bible that is up to you. I mean they want us to believe the scriptures were lost until they discovered the dead sea scrolls.

Sharon may I suggest that you go to Jewish sites and see exactly what most who claim to be Jews really believe.

The great majority follow a book called the Talmud, which means LEARNING. The exact name is the BABYLONIAN TALMUD which means Babylonian learning. it is the opinions of Rabbis which Jesus condemned as their traditions. These Jews called it the oral traditions of the elders.

Mark 7:9 And he (Jesus) said unto them, Full well ye (Jews) reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Mark 7:13 Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Chabad Lubavitch Jews follow Kabbalah, which they call the soul of Judaism, which is about mystical things. These are the ones with the black suits and hats and they wear red strings around their wrists to ward of evil spirits.

I have read their writings in their libraries, not just off something on the internet. They blaspheme Jesus.

There is a huge amount of scripture in Deuteronomy about teaching children. It's a blessing of obedience. I realize Deuteronomy is tedious to read but God meant for the teachings to be carried through the future. He could see our reality now for kids: youtube silliness and videos how to undo parental controls, Netflix and worse. Even if you put your kid in a private Christian school, they're going to do what their parents and peers do.

I did not say women are to be priests in the home. Her role is in proverbs 31. I said in the absence of a husband who behaves as priest in the home... she will have to do it. If you know to do right and don't do it, the family suffers. How many of our children are living in a one parent home? Research that! You need to slow down and read what someone is commenting on before you come out with guns blazing.

Facts remain. Teach the kids to love God and obey Gods will for their lives. Not just Deuteronomy but all of Proverbs too.
