SHARRON: your take on the Godhead is total error. You base what you think on the day of Pentecost.

I'm not going to belabor with this. In Genesis 1:26 God said LET US. He said it in Genesis 11:7..LET US, and again in Genesis 3:22. That was the Father, the Word (Jesus before incarnation) and God the Holy Spirit. They were talking together. Again, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (who is the Spirit of Christ). The Trinity or, the Triune Godhead. Same thing. Long ago someone said to me, The Father willed it, the Son spoke it and the Holy Spirit performed it.

    God created

    God moved

    God said

    God saw

    God divided

    God made

    God set them

    God blessed

    God formed

    God planted

    God to grow

    God took the man

    God commanded

    God caused

    God Walking in the garden

    God clothed them

    God sent

    God drove out

God is involved in every facet of our lives. Adam & Eve did wrong; in his mercy God made them clothing! It's not about tongues. It's about the GOSPEL of Jesus.

We are living in the last days right now and with the coronavirus God is speaking and we need to hear what he is saying this might have been an accident but God is truly telling us that we need to repent and be baptized in the Holy Ghost and live your life according to the bible I will pray that if your not saved you get saved before it everlasting to late.

Felix, there is no difference in those names. The word "Ghost" essentially means 'Spirit'; so it's just another way of referring to God's Holy Spirit.
  • Chris - In Reply on Psalms 23:1 - 5 years ago
Rei, Psalm 23 was written by King David as a personal testimony of God's faithfulness in his life. David was once a shepherd, but now he says that I am the sheep & rejoicing & confident in my Great Shepherd's love, care & leading. As believers, we use this Psalm joyfully, as we have also proven the faithfulness of the Lord in our lives, or we cling onto its Truths if we are going through some difficulty. When we try to align this Psalm for children who have suffered because of wicked people, we really cannot do it, except to know that these little ones do have a caring, watchful Father ( Mt 18:10: "in Heaven their (the childrens') angels do always behold the Face of My Father Which is in Heaven"). God is mindful of their suffering & these criminals will not go unpunished. We all suffer, even innocent children because of the nature of sin, & even though the scars are lifelong, when we turn & cling to the Lord, He gives healing, real love & comfort.

Erica Tirado, Read and understand the promise @ Revelation 3:20. This has NOTHING to do with being saved. Instead it has everything to do with your own personal Temple of the Living God - your body. Your body is the real temple. God Almighty in heaven is right outside your temple and is knocking at the "door" to your temple. Ask Him to come into your temple and He promises to "sup" with you - and you with Him. That is heavyweight!! Before you do realize it isn't Joe Sixpack down the road. You are inviting The Lord God Almighty who throws gas balls around the Universe. So make your temple circumspect before the Lord then invite Him in and you both sup with each other. Trust me.

Bob Hilt, no offense but Rev. 2:5 has an entirely different meaning than what you posted. It is in answer to Rev. 2:4, not about being saved or anything like that. Put it back into context and it will be a bit clearer. Remember 100% of Revelation is figurative not literal. Keep that in mind. "sent and SIGNIFY" not just communicate as modern bibles have these days. Signify means signs or figurative speech not literal speech or writing.

    The best to you.

Colossians 1:15, ,18 Who is the image of the invisible God,the firstborn of every created.

    18. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

  • Chris - In Reply on Genesis 32 - 5 years ago
Smitty, the Scripture is unclear who this 'man' was, who wrestled with Jacob. You will need to make your own judgement as you pray for clarity. What we do know, it wasn't just a man, as he renamed Jacob to Israel = "as a prince hast thou power with God & with men, & hast prevailed". And this man refused to give Jacob his name, as well. And Jacob called that area, Peniel = "I have seen God face to face & my life is preserved". So if it was an Angel of the LORD, it could have been Michael. If it was God's Word, then we have another view of the pre-incarnate Christ (a Christophany). See these other references of such manifestations: Gen 18:1 ff; Gen 19:1; Dan 3:19-26. So, many believe that Jesus, the Word of God, was manifested in these pre-incarnate appearances, or it might have been an Angel of the LORD. Whoever it was, the Words spoken were from God & the Work done was an act of God. However, I do believe in the Trinity, i.e. Col 2:9, Godhead = 3 persons that shows God's Fulness.

  • Chris - In Reply on 1 Kings 14:15 - 5 years ago
Carolyn: 1 Kings 14 refers to Israel's first king, Jeroboam, after Israel was divided into two kingdoms: Judah & Israel. Now Jeroboam was a wicked king (reigned for 22 years), as were most of the kings of Israel (unlike the kings of Judah, who were generally God-fearing). One day Jeroboam's son, Abijah fell sick and Jeroboam's wife was sent by the king to visit Ahijah a prophet to learn the fate of their son. But rather than dealing with the son, the prophet said to tell the king some even sadder news. He recounted the evils of the king (vv 7-16). So part of that prophecy was the fate of Israel because of the king's wickedness: it would be distressed, rooted up from the land & scattered beyond the Jordan River, because they have angered the LORD with their idol worship as well. And we know, that eventually Israel was sent into captivity to Assyria, after another series of bad kings. There's no deeper meaning in that verse, except to remind his people to love & serve the LORD faithfully.

Pray, right now; everyone the Lord wrath is here. It started out asfloods and famine; now it's plagues. Our brothers and sisters that live for the pleasures of this world.born into sin shape out of iniquity. God is given everyone a chance to seek and find him, while he maybe found. Seek God face, do not get lost into what this world has to offer. Repent and pray turn away from your wicked ways and turn to the Lord. Or he will turn the lost over to a reprobate mind.

That is why we have freedom of religion in this country. You have every right to your interpretation to the scriptures.

However, my bubble remains intact. My faith is mine and is not subject to your interpretation. I have no desire to sway your opinion. You on the other hand seem unable to keep from forcing you own on others.

Can you folks see the tiny cryptogram in this chapter?

Sun - or the largest fire in our solar system - 5 times.

    Earth - once.

    Wind - twice.

    Water - 3 times.

Earth wind fire and water were not the four ancient elements. They were the four ancient elementary mnemonics ancient man used to begin "being in the spirit" as John the Revelator did. God is trying to tell you how serious it is to have you yourselves teach yourselves to be "in the spirit". Only mentioned 11 times? Not serious enough for you?

In Genesis chapter one, these 4 mnemonics are mentioned 54 times. Is that serious enough for you?
  • Wolfen244 - In Reply on Ezekiel 1 - 5 years ago
Julee, essentially the 4 living beings of this chapter are identical - in many ways - to Isaiah's meeting with the 4 Seraphs, Daniel's dream of 4 beasts and of course as you mentioned the four beasts of John the Revelator from chapter 4 through chapter 6 as John the Revelator was "in the spirit". But what do they all mean?

4 faces - calf man lion eagle - just like the four faces of Brahma that the yogis used in conjunction with earth wind fire and water mentioned in Ecclesiastes and Genesis to begin "being in the spirit" as John the Revelator did. God merely wants you to practice "being in the spirit" with your temple of the Living God as in Rev. 11:1 as he asks you to take stock or yourself
  • Wolfen244 - In Reply on Revelation 2 - 5 years ago
Lesley, EVERYTHING in the first 11 chapters is addressed to you on an individual level in the present tense or present perfect tense. In this case Rev. 2:26-28 John the Revelator is talking to YOU Lesley and your own personal "one like unto the Son of Man" who when you overcome will rule your temple - the nations or your body - so that like the yogis had perfect control over their bodies. That is the promise. Sadly since it takes a lot of effort hardly any modern westerner will take the time. This is not for everyone. It is only for a select few who will make the effort.

    Good luck Lesley.

  • Wolfen244 - In Reply on Revelation 2 - 5 years ago
therefore - conjunction with verse 4 so this is the answer

Remember...fallen - figurative so not Garden of Eden. This First Love hasn't been done for millennia.

repent - not of sins - START doing this First Love by teaching yourself...

first works - chapters 1-11 of Rev. have the instructions to begin doing first works.

remove candlestick - at the gym you exercise voluntary muscles. John is asking you Christians to exercise the seven spiritual centers in the temple of God - see Rev. 11:1. Once you get good at being "in the spirit" as John was it will be your First Love. The one thing Jesus could not do without as He proved on the cross was not being in communication with the Father. It was His First Love!!

    Everyone, good luck.

In Genesis 1:2, described that the earth was without form, and void; I wonder how was before this earthly condition? Was per-earth existed before formless earth or not? I don't think that Genesis 1:1-2 are not really true beginning for all things. Perhaps, that is beginning for men.
