I may have a bit of a "revelation" here, no pun intended. I've been studying the End Times for around 30 years as a layperson off and on. I've always found the 1st Seal's White Horseman to be a bit puzzling. If he represents Conquest, then why is War the 2nd Seal? Wouldn't War typically be used to Conquer. Well, there is a difference between the White Horseman's Bow and the Red Horseman's Sword. The Bow is a Silent Weapon, far-reaching, and it is airborne, and can launch attacks in Secret. The world has been Conquered by the Coronavirus, and without War. It's name-sake "Corona" means Crown. Corona has 6 letters, and if you add them together they equal 66. And we are already hearing about plans to mark/track/vaccinate/implant the people for the sake of this virus, correct? And if you hear Trump refer to our Invisible Enemy, and the Q Anon people refer to a global Satanic Cabal... are we seeing the 1st Seal - A Silent Weapon for a Secret War, unleashed to Conquer the World?

Excellent response! I agree that "Forbid not...." is not the final command on toungues and that a myoptic view of any scripture will always bring error or misunderstanding.

However, there are persons in the church who sadly make the crnter piece of their Christian lives communicating that "toungues" have past away and indeed all of God's ministerial gifts have past away." If I had not ever heard anyone speak in toungues I would still have faith in it because of "Forbid Not."

Further to Jesse's comment: we don't have specifics on Apostle John's further ministry (v11). We understand from tradition (& not confirmed), that after he was sentenced to the mines on the Isle of Patmos, at which time he received these prophecies described in the Book of Revelation, he was then freed & left there to serve as Bishop of Edessa, in what is today Turkey. He then died an old man - the only apostle to die peacefully. So we don't have details of his ministry, post Patmos, though according to the angel's directive, John's ministry must have been extensive as he may have built upon Apostle Paul's earlier ministry there.

Bob, we can only look at this with a limited understanding, taking in glimpses for various Scriptures. Though in 2 Corinthians 5 we get a picture of this from Paul. I see that for those who die, their spirits go to be with the Lord (5:1-8). Those without Christ, into Hades, where Satan & the angels who sinned are there now ( 2 Pet 2:4). But there will be a time of Judgement for both the saved & unsaved. For the saved, the Judgement Seat of Christ that we may receive rewards/crowns or loss for what has been done on Earth (not judgement on our souls - that was done at the Cross & fully paid for) ( 2 Cor 5:10, 1 Cor 3:11-15). For the unsaved, the Great White Throne Judgement ( Rev 20:11-15) remains; a fearful time when their final destination will be the Lake of Fire, where Satan, the Anti-Christ & the False Prophet are. And we are with the Lord of Glory & His Blessed Son for all eternity. What a wonderful motivation for all believers to live each day for Him & serve Him joyfully.

Vicki, praise God for your salvation through His Son & for your continual search through Holy Scriptures & your longing for the Saviour's return. We, who look for His Coming, have a tendency to wonder if the time is now. Yes, the signs are there: Israel is a nation & the Jews are returning to their homeland (see Ezek 37. They are spiritually dry (dry bones) & without God but He will put His Spirit in them (future) & place them in their own land - happening now (vv14,21,25). They will be one nation (v22) - from May 1948, there has been a steady return of the Jews back to Israel & that "the heathen may know that I sanctify Israel" (v28). The world continues to degenerate into godlessness, selfishness, immorality, idolatry, etc. Yet, the end is not yet as there are yet more to be saved ( 2 Pet 3:9). We don't know when Jesus will come; we cannot & should not set any dates. He have to be patient. We have to be alert & watching. We can watch Israel for signs & a time frame, but: Mt 24:36.

Gregory, you are correct that God's Name is not mentioned in the Book of Esther. And of course, the Jews, as in any era of their history, had some who obeyed God & others who didn't. However, you are correct in your observations by reading through the Book, that the evidence of God's Plan was very evident & being performed & His people were ultimately freed from their enemies ( Esther 9:22).

Pray that our leaders hearts are touched by the Holy
