In John14:Thomas is asking questions, not unlike us. What comes out are the words "I Am the way,the truth and the life"! Again this chapter Thomas says "unless I can put my fingers into the nail print and thrust my hand into his side". Christ chose the twelve, He new who was given Him from the Father. He knows Thomas and was expecting the questions that others did not ask! Thomas very bold then,even now in this chapter. This is important for us, when we want answers or have doubts. Gods timing with Thomas should help us to know that we are chosen, that their will be times when we will be separated and alone, the doubts and questions that arise, Christ will answer in time,that God knows you better than you know yourself.Christ understands these things because He was tempted like we are! If seeing is believing, than believing is seeing.Thomas steps out, but he returned in Gods time. Kneeling and seeing and confessing my Lord and my God! Blessed are those who have not seen but believe!

I'm not sure that Jesus changed their names at all. Certainly not because they became apostles, otherwise He would have changed the names of the other apostles too.

Paul was born with the name Saul. He was from Tarsus. We see in the book of Acts that his name goes from being called Saul, to all of a sudden he is now called Paul for the remainder of Acts, and throughout the 13 epistles he wrote.

His Hebrew or Jewish name was Saul, and his Roman or Greek name was Paul, or Paulos. They are both the same name, one being Jewish, and one being Greek. Peter was called Simon Peter. Simon, or Simeon was his Hebrew name. He was also called Cephus, and Petros by Jesus, both meaning stone, Cephus being Aramaic, and Petros being Greek.

God protected Nebuchadnezzar's kingdom so no one else would get it. After the seven years of punishment God gave it back to Nebuchadnezzar, we know this by the band of iron and copper that was put around the stump. You can find this at Daniel 4:18-37.

Part 3) Peter is saying that it's an unlawful thing, according to the "Rabbi's Rules," for a man that is a Jew, to keep company, or to come into one of another nation; anybody that's not a Jew, but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. It's the same thing God showed him about the animals. Now Peter is putting two and two together, because he didn't understand the vision that was given to him.

The section I mentioned, Acts 10:9-16, is referring to animals. It's clear to me that Matthew 15:11 is saying it's not what a person eats that defiles that person. And yes, it's what comes out of the mouth, the evil words that come from a man's heart. That's what defiles the man, not what he eats.

Part 2) Well, here's what the Rabbi's Rules came to. For instance, it was against God's law for a Jew to eat a pig. And so the Rabbi's said "Since it is against God's law for you to eat Gentile food, especially a pig, then we will make up a rule that it is not lawful for you to interact with a Gentile, because if you don't interact with the Gentile, you will not eat Gentile food, especially pig.

So they made the rule up. You see, that was their reasoning. It wasn't because of what God said, but because of man in his rules and regulations, the "Rabbi's Rule's" as they're called.

They said a Gentile is unclean and off limits. God never said that, the Jews did. I find no place in scripture where God ever said that a Gentile is unclean. All of this between the Jews and the Gentiles is all because the Jews decided themselves that the Gentiles were unclean. God never said that!

Jesse Greetings, Yes Rabbi's rules Jesus called them the commandments of men aka tradition of the elders and condemned them for it. Good point. Christ blasted them for this. Like the Noahide laws today.

I understand where you are coming from. I did not mention Acts 10:28, but I did take a closer look at it and this is my conclusion. Peter said, you know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come in unto one of another nation;

I see Peter is referring to Gentiles, and he says it is unlawful for a Jew to keep company with a Gentile because the Jews considered them to be "unclean." Gentiles were even referred to as dogs.

Here is something that is important for me in understanding this section of scripture. The word "unlawful" used in Verse 28 has nothing to do with the Torah, the Law given by God to the Jews. It has to do with going against Jewish customs.

It's what is called "The Rabbi's Rules." I love The Rabbi's Rules! They came up with their own laws in light of God's laws. You might say isn't that kind of adding?

If it is possible, I'll tell you when I get there :). (Hoping, that is if I make it). Learning and still learning. I believe that is has become simple to say if you believe in Jesus and believe He died for your sins one is forgiven (don't be mistaken, that is true). Paul, one of His messenger's also wrote that he died daily to gain Jesus. Rebuking his *what he believed was true, or his deception* way of living for Him.

Jesus performed many many miracles in front of the Pharisee Jews to verify his ministry, including raising the dead and healing the disabled. He gave sight to a man born blind who saw both physically and spiritually who Jesus was and acknowledged him. Even the blind man knew the miracles of Jesus came from above.

Pharisee Jews saw the miracles and instead of believing in the ministry of Jesus, they choose to discredit him claiming his miracles were from the devil. Physically they could see, spiritually they were blind.

John 10:21 Others said, These are not the words of him that hath a devil. Can a devil open the eyes of the blind?

Because the Pharisees had sight they were sinners already

Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. All men are guilty of this?

I am going on my 4th year of my daughter not speaking to me . I have prayed , begged for forgiveness and anything else on the earth . It started by me wishing her daughter happy first birthday and how the lord has blessed us so . She had a little girl born too soon that only lived for 7 days , and a miscarriage a couple of years later then little gracey came and was a miracle . The reason we dont speak is beyond me . I got a text from her that morning say thanks a lot for taking upon myself to wish gracey a happy birthday before she did and all her friends were messaging her why didnt she wish her own child happy birthday before me , and it all went downward from there . I miss my baby girl and I have a 2 year old grandson I've never met . I'm getting old and tired and just want peace in my family so I keep praying she will realize I just love her

She has nothing to fear as far as her salvation goes. In the human sense, a bastard is someone who has been born to parents out of wedlock. She is not at fault. The Jewish leaders even considered Jesus to be a bastard child because Mary was pregnant before the marriage became official. If you remember, Jesus told the religious leaders that "You are of your father the devil." Their response was "we be not born of fornication." You see, they considered Jesus to be an illegitimate child, or bastard. But we know better.

As far as salvation goes, your granddaughter is safe. Spiritually, we cannot be bastard children, because we are born of God's Spirit. We are legitimate children of God, and He does not see us as bastards. We are God's children. He has given us to His Son. And Jesus promised us that all whom the Father has given to Him, He will not lose one, not a single one. That's Christ's promise to us. Your granddaughter needs to know that she is safe in His powerful grip. God bless!
