what specifically is Solomon referring to when he says," a time to hate." We are studying Ecclesiastes and would like to know in what context he is using this. Are we to hate something, someone, etc!

I suspect a betrayal is brewing against me on my job. Over the last couple weeks, this suspicion has continuously come to me, but the Lord brought this Psalm to mind, and it gave me peace. He also reminded me that no weapon formed against me shall prosper; therefore, I rest in his love, protection, and peace, and I know that He will cover me and keep me safe from the evildoers and their plans.

Verse 42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath SAVED thee.--How many did Jesus save while on earth (not sure) but many. -- Matthew 9:6 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. -17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Sonia, I can't find your original post now; the way the thread system works in KJB online, is peculiar. I think Mishael has sent you a reply to the Rapture, so will leave off for now. Apologies, if Gen 1:27 was not your subject. Blessings.

John, thanks for your encouraging comments. It's wonderful that you & the Fellowship are still able to meet is some form & enjoy this new experience, albeit somewhat limiting. I think of the early Church as they too met as a small group & generally hidden as their persecutors hunted for their blood. I guess, this virus is a type, both seeking out destruction & death, but for the believer our confidence & hope is ever centred on the Lord of Glory. The Lord bless you & the Church family there in Milwaukee.

God created the world in just 6 days n on the 7th day he blessed it and said let all creatures on earth glorify me (God),he then created Adam in his image with eve along side .my question is God knew that the serpent was clever to deceive eve to have the fruit, then why did God himself punished Adam & eve after eating the fruit for the two were just innocent n blind of what was happening?why didn't he punish the serpent only?

In Jn 12:2, the people in that home were of course, Mary & Martha, the sisters of Lazarus. This account with Lazarus ends in Jn 11:45. In v46, those Jews who saw the resurrected Lazarus then went quickly over to the Pharisees to report what they had seen and then the rest of chap 11 speaks of their plot to kill Jesus. But Jesus went away and then returned to Bethany six days before the Passover, and fellowshipped with Lazarus and his sisters ( Jn 12:1 >).

Weird, but last night I was reading blessings of obedience and penalties of disobedience: Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. I'm wondering if God is trying to get our attention to come back to Him, in America? Pastor Chuck Swindoll preached the same thing on the radio today. In Genesis 12:1-3 speaking of Israel, that God will bless THEM that bless thee; and curse him that curseth thee'. I think USA has blessed Israel despite Politicians that want stop helping them. It makes sense to go with blessings as opposed to disobedience. Just because it's Old Testament is no reason discount the direction our nation has been going for decades. People are running about hoarding every day and nome of them praying? There's going to be none of that kind of acts in Heaven. We're supposed to be renewing our minds on the Bible, every day, so we can be more like Jesus! It's not funny when the devil has everyone driving around to find toilet paper and stuff. :(

Lets listen to praise music more.

Brooke, to iterate: God the Father did not send another god. He sent forth His Word, Who was then given flesh to be a man, to minister God's requirements for His people & also ultimately lay down His Life for them & us. But this concept is difficult to understand. E.g., in Gen 19:1, we read of two angels whom God sent to warn & protect Lot's family & to pronounce judgement to the people of Sodom. These angels were changed by God to be men of that day so they appeared as visitors to Lot. Heb 13:2 tells us "not to forget to (welcome) strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares". God can change a person or angel physically, so it should not be difficult to understand that He can send forth His Word thru prophets (as He did in the past to His people) but the Jews disobeyed & rejected it. Now He sends His Spoken Word out clothed in human flesh that they might have witness again of His Love & Patience & the result - the Jews put Him to death. Read an apt parable: Mt 21:28-46

Randall, I have always accepted Sunday as the day of worship in line with apostolic & early Church practice. This was not originally a papal edict when he gave this instruction to the RC church, but an apostolic & Church practice that distanced itself from Jewish & other practices. We know that the Lord Jesus rose from the grave on the third day, which was a Sunday ( Mk 16:2,9), the apostles recognized that day also ( Acts 20:7, Jn 20:19), and the early Christians also met on that day ( 1 Cor 16:2: alluding to the Corinthian believers putting aside money so that the poor believers in Jerusalem could receive these gifts, in due course). However, as Rich indicated ( Rom 14:5) that this Day cannot become a dividing issue, or else for example, believers in Islamic countries who can only meet on a Friday, then become reprobate & deserving of damnation! Then again, if we met on the 7th day, are we also prepared to not work, get take away, have folk over for lunch, or fill up with gas! Difficult!

Sonia: if you will type in 'caught up' in the search box when this website opens you will see verses concerning (the rapture). Read the chapters where they are found.

Another way the Bible refers to the event is: as a thief in the night. Also, "the Day of the Lord". 2 Peter chapter 3;12 I think says it best; that we are to be LOOKING for the Lord. There's a lot of scripture about the Rapture. I look for Him every day :)

I'm glad my comment was helpful to you, as are comments from others who read & answers those who may be uninformed or perplexed. Most of us here, I feel, are mature believers & can identify with some of the concerns that are raised & we use God's Word only as our basis for advice & counsel. Some here may have had quite interesting & challenging experiences in their Christian walk & ministry, so the reader can get some glimpses of personal testimony of the generous & timely provision from the Lord. Please feel free to ask of us - we will respond as the Lord directs. But never forget, that your own Bible reading, prayer for the Spirit's assistance in understanding it, & keeping short accounts with the Lord, will be of far greater value than whatever another can give you. I hope you attend a strong Bible-based Fellowship where the Word of God & fellowship with His people, can only strengthen your journey in this life.

To Jill: I'm pretty sure I didn't say 'pandemic'. I would've said that it qualifies as a pestilence because it is covering the earth. Only God can show us what it is. At present there seems to be suspicion that it was an accident in a lab. I will go back and see what is that I wrote.

What it is showing us is that as a nation we are unprepared to react swiftly to disasters. Also that in crisis we turn to God for our help. Psalm 91.

The word pandemic is not in the Bible. I think many people have been blissfully living their lives without God for a long time. The Bible and prayer were kicked out of school in the mid 60's.
