  • Debra - In Reply on Isaiah 45:5 - 6 years ago
Yes Chris..and in the time we are in right now..these scriptures come to mind John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal and Luke 24:44And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Matthew 26:39And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Blessings Chris..I believe this time is soon upon us

Greetings Chris, I understand what you write. Thing is a new believer listens to those trained by ungodly men who claim the King James is wrong and Greek or Hebrew really says this or that. My Bible college taught us the King James was right and laid a fair foundation. But others showed me the evil men and their dark associations to discredit the King James Bible. I hardly believed it at first. I learned research (before the internet) in secular college and traced down some of the accusations against these evil men and found them to be true. these will con us to believe the virgin birth was not real, John was just exaggerating the miracles of Christ and on and on. These do not build faith.

Peter you are right it was the Pharisees who had Jesus killed. Why you wonder

Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he (Jesus) began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Matthew 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

Read Matthew 23 sometime and see what Jesus had to say to their man made rules and practices.

John 8 is another eye opener. Jesus hated hypocrisy and traditions that made the Laws of God void.

Thank you very much. It was good information and I agree with it; but i did make a few wrong assumptions in my previous comments and your comments confirms some things i was thinking about where I reached the same conclusion. I will be adding a comments pointing out some false assumptions that I had and expanding on Adam and God walking and talking together. etc.. Thank you again because it was very helpful and assuring. I love it. Thanks

I'm talking about for an hour straight this preacher went on talking about that. Since that day I have had zero fear, but 100% trust in the lord. I do not go to haunted places, have on occasion.. but 90% of what I do is from home, always with 100% respect, in the name of Jesus rebuking those that are negative, malicious, evil and only welcome children from God, the spirits of those that once lived here as I am and have passed. I believe that SOME fear going into the light, maybe they did not live right, maybe they did wrong. I believe, have felt, and have been told by spirits that I have moved them into the light. I truly do believe that Gods Angels protect me. I pray i'm not wrong

Angela,I also have loved God since a child, going to church with my grandmother. Over the years I have not went to church as an adult very often. I do pray almost every night and feel that I have God in my heart. I could be WAY OFF but I honestly feel like It was one of my callings, to reach out to spirits. I also know that it can be dangerous. Once I got scared cause I took a selfie, and in the shower glass door behind me was a face that looked like it had horns. Str8 up looked like the devil. I went to church and the sermon was straight to me, saying things like "i know you may be scared, that the devil is trying to scare you off from doing gods work, but don't stop, have trust in the lord

My grandmother always taught my cousins and me to turn the other cheek, but it is a challenge when you have people during your life time that you don't like, even now. God is testing us and I put my faith in him and just pray for that person(s) and just move on. Life is too short. God is love!!

Christ being the 1st born of many BRETHREN is good news for us it implies Christ is gonna go forth and sow his seed in US sinners initiating a birth of Christ in US Th Child is the remnant of his BRETHREN the H.G PLURAL.Thats y the woman is giving birth in Rev 12 she is bringing forth the remnant of his BRETHREN. Micah 5 says he wd give them up till the woman is in birth pains then the remnant of his BRETHREN wd return unto Israel Thats y the new birth is so important its the means in which God wil bring forth the remnant of his BRETHREN,therefore shall he give them up till she that is in travail has given birth thats the woman in rev 12, ISAIAH SAYS UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, HIS BRETHREN GBU.

Acts 10:35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (29) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Jesus was truly the 1st born of many Brethren simply b/c that was the great Promise that God made to Christ I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven. Thats y he refers to himself as the son of man, mankind is gonna birth Christ in his hearts.Thats y the sower of the good seed wants to sow his precious seed in our hearts that it might initiate a heavenly birth which is the H.G. THE CHILDREN OF PROMISE.Also romans 8 Tells US Jesus wd be the 1st born of many brethren simply via his seed the word. The multiplication of issac was just a metaphor that Christ wd be multiplied as the stars of heaven via that good seed the words of the new covenant.Being bornagain of an incorruptible seed etc.

The chief priests & Pharisees had it in for Jesus right through His ministry. The Gospels are replete with occasions that raised their ire & plots to do away with Him. I will list some of them, but you ask, "the reason that Jesus was arrested". If I could give just one Scripture, it would be John 19:7: the law was that death would be the penalty for blasphemy, so they demanded this sentence from Pilate for Jesus claimed to be God's Son. Other verses in Mark's Gospel that demonstrate their hatred of Jesus: 2:16, 6:3, 2:24, 2:7, 3:6, 3:22, 7:5, 14:53-64. Jesus not only claimed Deity & called them a generation of vipers ( Mt 3:7), but also broke their traditions & accused them of many things.

Have any of you smelled fish innards cooking Why does it have to be magic or faith Maybe the demon had a reason for hating the smell of such. He actually did , I choose not to go into on this forum . It forever ran him away . The Angel knew the demons name and his weaknesses as per knowing beforehand the weapon needed . Demons as well as Angels have personalities and different issues as humans do.

The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:"

/"Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

The Roman Catholic church is the whore that sits in the beast . Being the little horn amongst the ten horns . Having blasphemy written on her head . Blasphemy calling the Pope father and man saying the Pope has authority to forgive sins. Jesus says call no man Father for there is only one Father to all and he is in Heaven. Shady dealings throughout history amassing great wealth in the name of God as well as the massacre of the Saints that followed Christ yet refused to join the idolitors and blasphemous Catholic Church. She is whore.
  • Louie Martinez - In Reply on Matthew 15 - 6 years ago
A BIG AMEN to that. Many people have forgotten including those who have no knowledge that Jesus will one day return when we very least expect it like a thief in the night. I pray for myself and everyone in this world that we will be ready for this day when it happens. God bless everyone!

  • Chris on Philippians 4:13 - 6 years ago
It is accepted that there are approximately 365 Old Testament prophecies relating to Jesus Christ. Some, directly speak of His coming and death, and others allude to aspects of His Life (e.g. Zech 11:12: thirty pieces of silver). The wonderful thing is that all of Scripture speak of the Glory of God and of His Son & in spite of man's fall, God's Love is still available to mankind and will pursue him till the curtain is drawn. What a wonderful Messiah - What a wonderful & Perfect Salvation.

It was Jewish soldiers -band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, who took Jesus to Caiaphas ( John 18) , But what did the Jews have against Jesus Is there another gospel that explains why they arrested Jesus
  • Maran - In Reply on Exodus 21:10 - 6 years ago
Hebrews did not have Hebrew slaves. Hebrew Maidservants and Menservants were PAID occupations. A girl's father was paid for her service to her boss's family. In turn, they provided her room & board and meals for free. It's not much different than if I hired a live-in maid. Except of course, a live-in maid would get her wages paid to her directly, but Hebrew girls back then didn't have much to spend money on, so their wages typically went to help provide for their family who they lived with until marriage.
  • Chris on Genesis 2 - 6 years ago
Peter, the word "Soul" often refers to a person (i.e. who you are). A human being in entirety is comprised of a Body (the physical structure), the Soul (the body given life) and the Spirit (the immaterial part that is akin to the mind, feelings, responses to outside forces, incl. God's Spirit or evil spirits). And yet, there can be some fusion in these parts. BTW, it was said of Jesus that He was made a little lower than the angels ( Heb 2:9): in regards to His humanity. To Adam & Eve: they were living souls who had no concept of good or evil as they were sinless in direct communication & obedience to their Creator. After succumbing to temptation, sin came upon them, & they knew good & evil.

Great food for thought and challenge. We need to be reminded to get out of our daily rut, which sometimes is sin masquerading as important activities, and look up to the Face of our Lord and His precious Word. That's why this Online forum by KJB is a great avenue to consider Scriptures in the light of one's own life and in the helping of others. Thank you Mishael for the reminder.

Magdalena has given a very good summary that Moses' authorship of Genesis would have come from oral or written modes from his ancestors. And the point here for those who may want to support the theory of evolution or find some other arguable subject in Genesis, is that the Lord Jesus Christ, God's Word made flesh, spoke of Moses & did not at any time question what was written in the Torah. Jesus could have said,"Well folks, I have news for you: Genesis is not altogether accurate". However, all of the Law & the Prophets were fully accepted & widely used by Jesus in His Ministry. I would direct you to the site: Answers In Genesis > Did Moses write Genesis. It's a long piece but worth the read.
