    Larry, as you know, the chapter speaks about the wicked false teachers that penetrated (or, allowed to penetrate) Christ's Church. A lesson for us today as well. Their condemnation is already set in stone but for the believers not properly grounded in the faith who are now "entangled/overcome", their end is "worse". Your query no doubt is on the actual state of these believers. My belief is that once a sinner has repented & saved by God's Grace, He is eternally secure & given Power to walk the Christian life. If a believer fails the Lord through sin, the avenue of repentance & forgiveness is there. If he chooses to go the way of sin, then he may not have been saved at all: Heb 6:4-6.

    Mike, to add to Kay's great comment: any crisis in one's life or in the family can get one despondent & sometimes irrational or lose control. If you have a loving family, you're blessed - many have to go it alone. If you belong to a Church Fellowship (or, at least seek to join one), the Church leader or Pastor can be of much help in counselling or directing you to others for help. When one in dire straits senses the love & support within his family & Church, the road becomes a lot easier. Peter, the apostle of Jesus, writing to some Churches in Asia (Turkey) encouraged them in 1 Pet 5:5-10, but especially with this: "Cast all your care (troubles/worries) upon God, for He careth for you"

    In the book of revelation, what happens to the two-horned beast Because I read that the false christ and the dragon, and the beast that killed the two messengers from God all three get thrown into the lake of fire, but not the two-horned beast. Who else picked up on that And the two messengers from God are the one that overcomes the ten kings by the Gospel.

    Actually Sons of God in Hebrew means Bene ha elohim, which only refers to angelic beings. And the elohim means God, and all angels has the name of God (Elohim) within the meaning of their names. And this is how Giants even came into being. They can't be Giants if there is a spiritual union between to regular humans. The angels left their habitation to come to earth and have sex with the daughters of man ( ha Adam) and or the daughters of Cain. And this union created Nephilim...the Men of Renown.

    I agree Debra: Scripture is replete with multiple applications/dimensional, both in the O.T. and N.T. After all, prophecies were given to help the people of God (Israel) know His Mind (though with limited view/understanding) & to have hope when sometimes all hope was gone. As His children now (through the shed Blood of Christ), we receive those prophecies, as some are both historically accomplished, and yet with another fulfilment for the future. In a world of woe & continual spiritual & moral degradation, the believer too can find light & hope through the expected fulfilment of prophecies & walk on confidently when there remains no more hope for those outside Christ.

    Bob, you've taken this to the next level. I agree with what you say, but for the 'average' believer, desire or opportunity precludes us from delving too deep into the backgrounds of these authors. Finding one that remains consistently true to the Word should be one for our consistent use. There is also a move by some to move away from post Nicene teachings to the fathers of the ante Nicene era. Of course, new teachings arise, particularly with Eschatology, but as has been claimed them, the Fathers were more faithful to Scriptural meaning and apostolic teaching (on this subject particularly). Did this aspect come up in your Bible College education & how did you receive it

    I don't know what you mean! When we die and face Jesus, the decision is not ours if we are going to heaven or hell! That is up to Jesus and God! Our name is either in the Lambs Book Of Life, or it isn't! It is however, our decision while we are alive on this earth! It is the greatest & most important decision we ever make! Choose JESUS!!

    I started a paranormal group with my brother years ago. I know there are spirits loose on this earth. I have been on many investigations in many different places. It is unbelievable what I have seen, heard, witnessed, & even have felt! I have loved Jesus since I was a small child. Things started happening to me & I felt & heard unexplainable things as a child. My brother witnessed it. So, it made us both curious to seek to find answers. But, after reading in the bible that God is disgusted by people trying to talk to spirits, I stopped completely! Now I wonder if it was the devil, or his demons just playing with us! When I read about the box you have, & what you heard, it was shocking to me

    John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave (his only begotten Son), that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

    John 3:17 For God sent not (his Son) into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

    Matthew 1: 2-16 tells us who begat who from Adam until Christ. Jesus is Gods ONLY begotten SON, Joseph never begat Jesus, Mary didn't go to the sperm bank to get inseminated, But the Holy Ghost came and she conceived and bare the Son of God in the flesh.

    This is very true.Some of us have walked away from God and doing our own worldly things and has forgotten about him. So he has to let us knwo that he is the Lord Our God and he always make the right decisions no matter what.

    Babylon in Revelation includes many people in Christian Churches. Many will come out when the hour is right. However most will stay in there and receive the 7 plagues. If you really believe the Bible then it is easy to figure this out. Just look up the verse where Jesus said many shall come to me but Jesus said depart from me . I never knew you. These people though they were doing well but they love to create a God to suit them. It does not work that way.

    John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: (sin no more), lest a worse thing come unto thee.

    John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and (sin no more).

    I just have to go by what Jesus said.

    Clearly this is the voice of Sophia...who delighted in him...who brought Wisdom...who still brings Wisdom. This is the voice of the Feminine, who was there in the beginning...the very beginning.

    This lesson learned from my honored teacher, Mary Holmes, and painted about in her Chapel of Wisdom.

    Surfing the net you shall find those who deny Paul as an apostle.

    2 Peter 3:15 - And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul (BELOVED BROTHER PAUL) also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;

    2 Peter 3:16 - As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things;

    in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

    they must deny the book of acts also.

    A living soul could however talk to God and God would talk with him, but he was a little lower than the angels (I think that it says that somewhere) but he did not have the knowledge of Good or Evil although he was born good and may have had some concept on what was good and what God did and said and made and what Adam saw, heard, tasted and smelled and felt was good. So he may have had some idea of what was good n but not what was evil. So that must be a living soul

    That scripture NEVER said there should be no other god before or after me IN HEAVEN! There is NO mention of heaven! Read before you abuse the scripture its meaning! It is directing at those people who were making idols and worshipping them in mockery against God during Moses absence.

    Mathew 11:27 Jesus no one knows who he or the father is unless he reveals it. Mathew 16:17 Jesus tells Peter he knew Jesus was the son of God not because a flesh and blood human told him but because Father God told him. Sounds like you know Jesus is the son of God there for you must be called. If you want to be closer to Jesus pray and read his word ask him to show himself and he will.

    Mickey, I agree. I hope I didn't give the impression that I have been born again but still drink. I quit drinking back in 1993. I have friends who drink and I've even been told by them that it's okay to have a drink every now and then. I guess every now and then to them would be considered moderation. I don't believe the Lord says it's okay to drink alcohol, even in moderation. Now I'm not telling any believer that they shouldn't drink. That's between them and the Lord. But if a believer wants to know if it's okay or not okay to consume alcohol, the question should be what is the Lord leading them to do Is He leading them to drink If not, then maybe that's their answer.

    You know in Job 1:6-12, satan stops off at Gods throne and asks to trouble Job till he curses God. This indicates that satan can afflict Christians. He has a will and uses it. That's Old Testament and we live in New Testament now. Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for the Saints. He is our Advocate, counsellor,etc. We need to be talking and listening (prayer) to The Lord.

    What are we listening to TV, radio shows, Facebook, Twitter etc. None of them preach a word to save a soul; heal the sick-anything. Your faith is on life support and you think God is allowing problems launched at you. Turn off the World and Tune into God. He is your Life support. Jesus is too

    I was looking for a verse today, Easter, for study and positive inspiration. My worst fear was realized when the verse you provided was spoken by a God rejector and hypocrite - Eliphaz - accusing Job.

    I do love this app and use it almost daily!

    Just good writing techniques. 1st we say what we are going to say and then we say it. One tells you things; and 2 tells you more about those things; and the writer does not have to tell us everything. God may have known our questions but if He had answered them all; the Bible would be mighty big, so big, you would never be able to read it all and so we would still not know the answer to our question; Maybe so big, it would confuse scholars as it sometimes does today. So the scholars and preachers read it but they may not know the answers to our questions. We can however discuss the Bible, but also we should take it by Faith.

    Thank you Chris. I have learned that scripture is mostly 3 dementional. For instance, where Scripture reads that Rachel wept for her children, is when Herod had the males killed under 2. The reason that Jacob buried his true love Rachel on the trail was because her descendants were in that area. So most likely it was her children who were killed..
