The Bible tells us in Proverbs 20:1 - Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

No where in the Bible state Jesus turned water into an alcoholic drink and the grapes were fermented. He simple stated he turned water into wine. His word, the Bible, talks against alcohol in several places when you read it in its entirety. He will not contradict himself. Jesus is the word ( John 1:1). Galatians chapter 5 also explains to us what is sin. Ask yourself, how would it effect your witness to the world. Would they take you serious seeing you drinking alcohol and trying to lead them to Jesus Praying earnestly and not self willed, God will reveal thetruth

I Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. (13) For Adam was first formed, then Eve. (14) And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. (15) Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

This scripture is miss used as much or more than any other in the bible. ( Luke 6:37)

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters

1 Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 5:5 For this ye (know), that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Revelation 21:8 and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the (Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.)

    Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through (faith in his blood), to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Jesus forgave sins before he shed his blood, The Son of man hath power to forgive sins.

If we are washed or if we are forgiven its through the name of Jesus. We agree

David felt surrounded by evil men who were being promoted to positions of power. They deceived and manipulated words to gain advantage, using their authority to oppress the poor. The LORD promises to cut these vile ones off and establish righteousness and justice. David takes comfort in his only reliable witness, the purified truth of God's preserved Word.

Don't forget that though the wages of sin is death salvation is the free gift of God in Christ Jesus. The righteous man shall live by faith. The Law kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Yes, we are not to sin, but don't forget if we do sin we can and should confess our sins and have an advocate to stand before the throne of judgment in Christ Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.

Moses was not yet born during the events of Genesis, so he is not named in Genesis. He was born during the time of sojourning in Egypt, and it is the Book of Exodus that deals with this part of Israel's history and Moses' personal history is part of that book. History was given orally before it was written down. Traditionally the first five books of the Bible have been attributed to Moses, first by Judaism and then by Christianity.

These are called the Books of the Law (Torah). Moses was the lawgiver (the Ten Commandments). I'm sure there's more. Maybe someone else can add on to this.

You have done the first step of reaching out! Pray pray pray for Jesus to show you how to trust Him to lead you. He gave us the 10 commandments, in Exodus 20, to guide your life. He gave His life for you. There are lots of people that are helping people through this time. Free food at churches, banks are giving temporary low interest loans, delivery jobs need fulfilled, etc. Love your family and pray with them.

Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)

13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

    Praying for you.

Matthew 24:7 speaks of pestilence in divers ( of different kinds) places. Luke 21:11 also speaks about the same. However, according to Luke 21:12 says that before the pestilence comes the Disciples of Christ will be persecuted. Matthew 24:9 also says this but after 24:7 (). I don't see this as a sign of end times Could be wrong.

Yes there is only 1 god the father ,but this 1 god had an absolute son whom he instructs all the angels to worship, this 1 god tells the world this is my beloveth son in whom i am well plz, unto his son he said thy throne o god is forever now we see 2 gods father n son ( abram n issac ) then the son tells us a parable of him going forth to sow his seed the word th seed of a kingdom in humanity. (jacob) we see a 3 rd god that will be born in humanity via that heavenly seed sown n our hearts, our new birth brings a child to us which is the h.g. a kingdom child that child of promise ( that branch that comes outta of christ ) which is spirit. now we see an israel of god born in humanity via seed

Without the Word of God, we are in darkness, in which we have no guidance, as Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one will see God without Christ, who is returning for the church in the rapture. Coming for a church white as snow, without marks or spots, and only in obedience to God Word, or Commandment, which proceed from the mouth of God, written with His finger and gave them to Moses to deliver to us all either in the Old Testament or New Testament by the Son of God as Christ the teacher of the Word of the Father God, amen.

Kenneth...I have a couple of explanations on this. Apart from a few (ancient) texts that say that "...this is My Body, which is given for you" (Textus Vaticanus and Textus Sanaiticus), most others show the word "broken" in that Scripture. One explanation is that Jesus' Body on the Cross was broken, but His Bones were intact, according to Scripture. So, Broken here means, it was torn, ripped, speared, bleeding, but His Bones were not touched. Another explanation is that it was referencing the offering of bread in communion and splitting (breaking) it apart to represent the crucified Body. I don't think we should unduly labour this point, as remembering His Sacrifice was paramount here.

Michelle, the purpose of Paul's letter to the Church in Galatia was because in their midst, were Jews & Gentile believers. There was a group (Judaizers) who still held onto Jewish law & traditions, meaning that both God's Grace & human effort are needed for salvation. Or, in another way, one had to become a Jew before becoming a Christian. Paul said that this was heresy. He goes on in Chap 3 to say that Abraham was justified by faith & not by any works plus faith, so all believers, whoever they are, are God's children: whether Jew or Gentile, bond or free, male or female. There is still an order in the Church to be observed that does not detract from our glorious & equal position in Christ.

I had to sell my violin a few months back because we needed the money. Please pray that the LORD would provide a violin for me as a token to my enemies, and so that I may use it to praise the name of the LORD in church once again. Psalms 86:17. Thank you, and may God bless you and your family at this time. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Remember people shall reap that which is sown, whether it be good or bad. The word of God gives us clear instructions to apply to our lives and it also tells us about the end times which we are currently living in. The day shall come that the US is destroyed according to the word of God.

Jesse: I think the key word is MODERATION. If that is difficult then try abstaining. I know without a doubt that God delivers people from booze and drugs. He did for me. The only problem is telling people you've been born again with a beer in your hand. There are scriptures that say your freedom from law may hurt someone else who isn't as secure about salvation. You have a witness to protect. Your changed life is what other people are checking out. After I got saved I started going to church. My party friends came to take me out but I'd say hey why don't you come to church with me Sunday! They stop coming around. I was sad but God gave me all new friends :D I love Jesus huge.

Maria...I doubt if you could get a correct answer, given the different ways people can understand and apply these verses. I see the Earth as having had a foretaste of the contents of the seals, and those who have suffered leading to death, or starvation or martyrdom, could certainly believe that the contents of the seals were upon them. However, I still look at these Judgements (Seal, Trumpet, & Vial) as part of God's Wrath upon the world in what we know as the Great Tribulation, a time of incredible suffering as has not see before. I don't believe we have come to this point, though as we progress, we see a continual deterioration in men's hearts & also signs for Anti-Christ's introduction.

Turkessa...Your question is short, but the answer is long...too long for this type of commenting. Could I direct you to an old book (and there are many good books on this subject), by J.I. Packer, "Keep in step with the Spirit". It is a good fundamental book that will help direct you in Godly living, listening out for the Spirit's inner voice in you, and obedience to His directions. If you put the Lord first in everything in your life, you can be certain that He will guide & keep you & alert you when at times you stray & not follow His Will. Psalm 32:8 is for you: "I will instruct thee & teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye".

I went to Bible college 6 years with a masters and never really learned Greek or Hebrew. Yet what books do we use to learn these languages The Theological Dictionary of the New Testament (10 Volume Set) by Gerhard Kittel is an absolute standard in seminaries. Kittel was an early member of the Nazi party a supporter of Hitler.

Before we start using these lexicons to understand what words mean, maybe we should find out what these authors believe. Do we want to learn Greek from a Nazi or a believer like Martin Luther flawed as he might be

the brown driver briggs Lexicon has Briggs who taught Messianic prediction has not and cannot be fulfilled aka

Jesus is not the Christ in other words
  • Chris - In Reply on Isaiah 45:5 - 5 years ago
Debra, Bob's metaphor of man's three parts is apt, as also with the Sun (its three parts being:its substance, its heat, its light). Without even one of these parts, the Sun would cease to be a Sun as we know it. So too, God has revealed Himself to us in three Persons (not three separate people). If God were to remove even one of His Persons, He would cease to be God. In a weak description, God the Father is the Substance, His Word Jesus Christ is the Light ( Jn 1:1, 8:12), His Spirit is the Heat, type of presence & power of God in us & in the world ( Acts 2:4, Jn 16:8). Many religions believe we are wrong in believing this, but it is just that they are unable to understand it. Keep believing.
