It is difficult to forecast what this Corona pandemic will do. It can be equated to other turmoils that have affected & gripped the world in the past (e.g. the W. Wars, other worldwide diseases/plagues, the Great Depression, etc.). Eventually, it will pass as doctors understand this Covid-19 virus better & develop a vaccine, but the longer the pandemic goes on & the resulting deterioration to the economies of the world, then the longer it will take them to pull out of it and get back to normal. All this serves to show us how easily we can get badly affected by such an event & should cause us as Christians to cleave more to the Lord and others to consider his offer of hope & salvation.

I think in Jesus's parents life they set a date for the wedding. She becomes pregnant through the Holy Spirit during the engagement period; you know the story Matthew 1:18-25
Point is: nowadays they call it DATING! You date and discover a persons faith; faithfulness to you, family, church, how they spend their money (tithing), budgets, votes, how they treat their mother. You interview each other for a year. Here's your bible scripture for what you seek. Proverbs chapter 31, verses 10-31. If you can't wait that long, you may get a lemon.

As you read & compare the gospel chapters: Jesus did everything openly. When He was charged with blasphemy by his own people, judged, prosecuted and ordered to be crucified, IT WAS VIEWED by everyone!
Ought we not be ashamed to have our momentous occasions witnessed by those that love us and our friends? Jesus is your friend too. Water baptism is to show your repentance. It's an act of obedience. Mark 1:4, 8. In John 1:32-34 John the Baptist, baptised Jesus in water. He saw the Holy Spirit as a dove abode upon Jesus. (Confirmation). John said, the same (Jesus) is he which baptizeth with the with the Holy Spirit. Write the day in your Bible :)

Even tho a lot of Christians disagree with the Catholic Church practices, recent scandals and all that, they have unwittingly fulfilled a PROPHESY in Luke chapter one. My advice is do not judge!
Luke ch.1 verses 28, 30, the angel told her she was blessed among women.
In verses 46-50 see: Henceforth (from now forward) ALL GENERATIONS SHALL CALL ME BLESSED.
As we all know the Catholics have performed this prophesy. You aren't going to convince a Baptist church to do it; even Assembly of God. We only give The Virgin Mary credit at Christmas. She's in the manger scenes that we buy. How spiritual is that? DONT JUDGE. I got clobbered by the Holy Spirit a couple of times for judging.

To Guillermo: I'm gonna redirect on that. I believe that world economies are going to tank on corona virus as we have already seen. The only problem is that the scripture says pestilence in plural: pestilences. We need to be drawing real close to Jesus now. "My sheep hear MY voice". Be careful what you listen to.
SPIRIT of Antichrist has been here for years. I believe the Antichrist is here. He's in the background. The economies may act like a roller coaster? Get in Daniel and study it. Watch some YouTube sermons. Eventually Antichrist will stand up, solve the broken world economies, create one world money and one world religion. Keep hold of your faith in Jesus to save. Rejoice!

  • Tanya Gilbert on Amos 3 - 6 years ago
When a person walk they take one step at a time. If two people walk side by side, it doesn't mean that they are moving in sinc with one another, they both walk differently. One might walk on his toes, the other on his heel. but if they are walking in the same direction, then they are in agreement, taking the same path.
  • Mick on BaptistIsm on Zechariah 9:13 - 6 years ago
John the Baptist was baptized by the Holy Spirit in his mother's womb. Luke 1:41, 44
John the Baptist baptized with WATER unto repentance for sin.
If you have received the Gift that Jesus preached then the Holy Spirit has made his abode with you. The gifts of The Spirit are for you. Study those gifts. You can ask for what you need. Don't be greedy.
1 Corinthians chapter 12 and 13. My advise: spend time enriching your relationship with the Holy Spirit. Read the verses Jesus speaks concerning Him.
  • Mick on Zechariah 9:13 - 6 years ago
To Rachelle: when listening for voices, they must be spiritually discerned. If it edifies you're spirit, then it is the Holy Spirit. If it frightens you, it's a demon. Even satan can quote scripture. It happened to me. I was a new Christian. It was quiet, I was folding clothes for my mom. "It" quoted Luke 4:18 audibly. My spirit went on a high alert inner freak out. I stopped what I was doing and went in my closet to pray. I knew I had been attacked. I trusted Jesus and the Holy Spirit protected and comforted me. Lesson learned. I don't reccomend it. You can ask the Holy Spirit at any time to help you discern the spirits. Demons want to trip you up and shipwreck your FAITH in Jesus.

Please pray for my family and myself as we have just found out recently within the last two to three days that my sister has been being physically and mentally abused by her "fiance" for the last year. We had no idea that this was happening! My sister also has her two very young kids living with her and this guy (they are not his children) which means the kids have witnessed this unfortunate stuff going on. (God only knows what else). The other sad thing is she is still continuing to live with this guy in spite of everything which does not make any sense to me. Hearing all of this news has been extremely frustrating, painful, and very heart-breaking for my entire family. Needing miracles!
  • Albert Knitht on Ezekiel 37 - 6 years ago
So many years ago my birth took place and I was circumcised in the heart. I read some history about when the Romans came in in 70 AD destroy their Temple as the Messiah prophesize. Shutting off all sacrifice and works as the high priest build up on the hill saddle on a donkey with his companion and he said to the rabbi what shall we do now in the rain by explain to him our good works well then, My Sacrifice good works without the spirit and the nature of the Messiah working through you because you're a one with him and he's one with you is simply commendable that's for sure but it's dead works that made me understand the Veil set became over the Jewish people for centuries they been taught .
  • Albert Knitht on Ezekiel 37 - 6 years ago
I find your commentary interesting interpretation ninety-nine point I can understand that stick together. Saint Paul cases one new man in the New Testament he speaking about this prophecy circumcised in the heart said accepted the Messiah and the universal law. I am at you 40 years old in my new birth

I think its a metaphor for Jesus's purpose or responsibility. Jesus had used this word in his prayer to God the father, like Luke 22:42.

1 Corinthians 12:28 - And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. (Tongues the last least gift.)
1 Corinthians 12:29 - Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1 Cor 12:30 - Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1 Cor 12:31 - But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for
greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues.

1 Corinthians Chapter 14: 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.rn27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.rn28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.rn....But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church....rnnot one Pentecostal church I have ever been to have ever followed this in scripture.rntongues is the least important gift. no interpreter = keep silent.

Hello, I personally don't think it's necessarily a sin, but think panic is a type of fear and fear is the opposite of love and trust in God. So, you could say it shows a lack of love and lack of trust in God, perhaps that of a Christian who is currently immature in their walk with Christ. 1 John 4:18. The Bible has lots of wisdom on fear, peace, trust, hope and someone looking to mature in peace and love should be reading those as practice to become spiritually strong.

Thanks for your comments. Do you think Mankind is ready NOW to turn away from evil and turn to God, in this trying period? Knowing that with Him all things are possible ( Luke 1:37) He's the God of flesh as there is nothing too hard for Him ( Jeremiah 32:27) I am confident that joy will come after this weeping of the night, as He's about to do something new in the lives of the believers that would convince those yet to believe in Him as their
Lord and Saviour. I have a saying now that the fear of Corona virus disease is the acceptance of God Almighty

Hello, I personally don't believe someone who baptizes needs to speak in tongues. Bible doesn't say John the Baptist spoke in tongues and he baptized Jesus. Where did you hear that and what scriptures do you feel supports that idea?

Hey Peggy - Hit youtube and type in CUP OF THE LORD
see what pops up. there are a number of times the cup of the Lord is in the Bible.
Psalms 116:13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.
Matthew 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
1 Corinthians 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

You don't have to be in a church at the time of baptism BUT the Holy Ghost will lead you to one. A church that speaks truth and only what's in the Bible. He gave us teachers, pastors and apostles to lead us. You gotta be open to hearing His voice because there are some that will mislead you.. false prophets..
  • Rachelle Chee - In Reply on Acts 16 - 6 years ago
It has to be someone who was Baptized in the name of Jesus that has been filled with the Holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
  • Moongold - In Reply on Revelation 3 - 6 years ago
The fact that you're becoming fixated on an object and it's causing you distress I believe indicates a need to simply give it up. Our Lord is not found in objects - this is really idolatry. And you are right in seeing it that way. You're not catholic, and catholicity is involved in worshipping relics, objects, statues - all to do with death or things not having life! Our God is the one true, living God - not found in statues or objects, but as the evidence of 'things NOT seen'. Heb. 11:1. We are to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. John 4:24 God bless!
