    Amen and Amen. There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. Thank you!

    The way you worded your question is difficult to answer, We're not save by works & yet it a proof that we are being saved. John the Baptist said "show forth works worthy of repentance, meaning a change of heart in one character, conversations, conduct & works. This is accomplish by the Spirit in the work of sanctification,"making one holy" the washing of regeneration & renewing of the Holy Ghost, the washing of the water of the Word, a faith that purifies the heart. Its by His mercy His save us, not by works of righteousness that we have done, & yet there works of righteousness to be done, that we may glorify our God & shine forth as light into this sin darken world.

    Good work would be those that are initiated or inspired by His Spirit alone. The Spirit by James says, what does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith, but does not have works, can faith save him.....Abraham was justified by works, do you see that his faith was working together with his works when he offer up Issac upon the altar, & by works faith was made perfect.

    Abraham believe God, what he did was initiated by the Word of God, who appear to him in Spirit, thus believing & obeying it was counted to him as righteousness. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works & its by His merciful kindness in giving us His Spirit that we attain to the resurrection of the dead, to be raise up in the newness of Life in Christ.

    Bad or dead works would be those inspire by self, in any form or fashion, much like the Phaisees who blew the trumpet before enter the temple in their alms giving to be seen & admire by men, verily it is written "they have there reward".

    hope this helps, in your journey to union with Christ.

    Dear Pureheart, I am happy to pray for these three seniors, Gang, Xiao, and Peng.

    Dear Heavenly Father, Gang, Xiao, and Peng are ailing with cancer and are unsaved. We offer them up before You for You to bring to each one the salvation of Jesus. We ask that You help them to overcome cancer and endure the treatments they may be receiving with strength that You provide. We ask that You move quickly in their lives so that they will come to You through Your Son, Jesus. Draw the to You, Father, and send to them Your Holy Spirit to regenerate them and lead them by the Gospel into faith in Jesus. We ask these things tonight in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

    Nope, Frankie,

    As long as we live in this mortal life we will have the sinful nature in us even though, as believers, we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, too. And the Holy Spirit wars against the sinful nature all of our mortal lives, increasingly winning the victory over our sinfulness as He sanctifies us bit by bit, from glory to glory ( 2Cor. 3:17-18; Romans 7:13-25 as we cooperate with the Holy Spirit to put to death the works of the sinful nature ( Romans 8:12-13).

    It will be only in the life to come when we have put of mortality and the corrupt sinful nature due to the resurrection of our bodies to immortality and in corruptibility will we be freed from the death sentence brought on us by the sin of Adam and our own sin and our sinful nature died when we died physically, when we will enter into the eternal state perfect, glorified, and completely separated from sin and any sinful inclination forever. Hallelujah!

    In this life we are to fight the good fight of faith in what Jesus accomplished for us on the cross and through His resurrection. It is in this life that we are to fight against our sinful nature by walking according to the Holy Spirit who is at work empowering us to obey God and to will and do the will of God. We will never come to a point of perfection in this life because the sinful nature continues in us until our last breath. But we can grow and mature in holiness as we surrender to the lead of the Holy Spirit who teaches us through the Scriptures as to how we are to live in each moment.

    Hi Spencer,

    Consider;

    the woman taken in the very act of adultery, "go & sin no more", the man who was ill waiting by the pool, "sin no more, lest a worst thing come upon you". He commands us to be perfect even as your heavenly Father is perfect. It would be a cruel hoax for Christ to command these thing if it was not attainable. For it would not only be making Christ a liar, who is the personalification of Truth, but it would be putting God mocking mankind & not saving mankind & therefore be no Savior. Roman 5 thru 8 confirms this, for the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law of sin & death. Which is the Grace of God that appears to all mankind bringing us salvation, a deliverance from the law of sin & death. Christ came to destroy the works of the devil within the heart of mankind. For those who are lead by the Spirit of God are the sons of God, & the Spirit of God would never lead us into sin, defining who are His sons, The Law of the Spirit of Life/Grace/Light, the divine Power that gives us all things that pertain to life & godliness through the knowledge of Him who has call us to glory & virtue, meaning partakers of the Divine Nature having escape the corruption that is in this world through lust & against such there is no law.

    I perceive here, according to the plain wording of Scriptures, your counsel is contrary to Truth, Jesus came to bring us back to the beginning, His image, His likeness & as long as we remain sinning & in the Adamic nature with all the works of the flesh that's a impossiblilty. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren, walking as He walk, even as He is so are we in this world. This would be without sin. Your counsel, would be putting the devil more powerful than Christ & there would be no crushing of the devil underneath our feet, the Seed bruising his head as promise.

    Brother David0921:

    All the saints (elders) in the old testament died a physical death; because Christ, the promised SEED had not yet COME to give ALL immortal life by his resurrection.

    Ezekiel 18:4 .... the SOUL that sinneth it shall DIE .....the soul goes to the grave .....

    The promise in both the Old and New Testament has always been the promise of eternal live, destroying the enemy of man, DEATH.

    Hebrews 11:39 And these all (the saints in the Old testament), having obtained a good report through faith (believing in the coming messiah to deliver them from death), RECEIVED NOT THE PROMISE.

    Hebrews 11:40 For God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect (resurrected with Christ, Christ ONLY is perfect and hath immortality dwelling in the light .... 1 Timothy 6:16)

    Matthew 27:52-53

    All creation was given immortality at the same time: when Christ was resurrected; Christ only was resurrected, creating a NEW CREATION.

    Revelation 21:5 ... Behold, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW ....

    2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in CHRIST (Christ ONLY was resurrected), he is a NEW creature: old things have passed away, Behold, all things have become NEW.

    Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow (God foreknew all creation), he did also PREDESTINATE (by Christ resurrection) to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the FIRSTBORN (Christ ONLY arose) of many brethren (CHRISTians).

    God bless YOU!

    Faith comes by hearing & hearing by the Word of God, not the written words of God, but the living Word of God, the Spirit of Christ. This living Word will alway agree with the written words of God, & sound reason, our conscience bearing witness in Truth & Righteousness. Each one of us has a small measure of His Spirit within us, compared to a mustard seed for smallness..yet if believe in & nurtured grows until we come to the fullest of the knowledge of the stature of Christ. All by His divine power, namely "Light" giving us all things that pertain to life & godliness through the knowledge of Him who has call us to glory & virtue. Scriptures states ,the Word is near us, in our heart & mouth, this is were He is to be known & felt in our hearts, this is the word of Faith that Paul preached. Hearing & obeying His words which He speaks within, engrafts Him within us, comforming us to Himself, for His words are His Spirit & His Life, thus; we're putting on Christ, the whole armor of God, we walk even as He walk, & are sent even as He was sent. Not by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit. The Scriptures testify over & over again, "he that has ear to hear, let him hear what the Spirit has to say, not the letter, the letter kills, its the Spirit alone that gives life. He was made a life giving Spirit. So faith come by hearing His still small Voice within us, that Voice speaks within conscience according to Romans 2:15, which explains the operations of Grace spiritual appearance within; Titus 2:11-13 Which is the revelation of Jesus Christ unto us, according to 2Cor 4:6-7, The nature of true faith purifies the heart. Faith is believing that it is He, who is revealing Himself to us by His Spirit of Grace in the face of Jesus Christ, who is God, who was before the Scriptures & was in the beginning with God.

    I hope this enlighten & stimultates your heart search for Truth.

    My LORD JESUS CHRIST is worthy of all the praise I can give HIM. I can only truly worship HIM when I know my KING personally through HIS word and the help of the HOLY SPIRIT in me.

    GOD to shine HIS face on all who love and trust HIM; and bless us all gloriously. 2 Chronicles 7:14, 15; Galatians 5:16; Matthew 28:18-20;

    2 Peter 3:9; Titus 2: 11-14;

    Ephesians 2: 8-10

    Thank YOU FATHER for preserving YOUR word for our daily use. May we enter into the harvest and seek to fulfill YOUR will in us.

    GOD bless and provide for all on this forum.

    Hi Frankie.

    No we cannot achieve perfection in these sinful lust filled bodies.

    restraining from sin doesn't make you perfect.

    Example;

    If you chain a vicious man biting dog up, does that keep him from "WANTING" to bite? He's still a man biting vicious dog.

    We Christians have a change of heart and a nature that wants to obey the spirit which brings life, but we have another enemy that won't go away called the flesh.

    The flesh lust to do evil and wars against the new nature.

    See Romans 7.

    And if you want a broader picture read Romans 5 on through Romans 8.

    I Hope this helps.

    God bless

    Scriptures are a testimony of Christ's words, but not God the Word. He says " Come unto Me" He wasn't telling us to come the Scriptures or to men, but to Him personally who is a Spirit. "I'm going away, but I will not leave you comforterless". When Holy Spirit comes He will teach & guide you into all Truth, for He will take of what is Mine & will show it to you. Its the Anionting that we have received from Him, that we need not any man to teach us. A promises of the Old Testament, is that "all will be taught of God" Christ a High Priest, to teach us personally by His Spirit. For no man knows the things of God, but Spirit of God. Jesus paid the price at Calvary, that we may all receive the promise of the Father, the mystery that been hidden from ages & generation, & yet now God has willed to make known the glory of this mystery which is Christ in us the hope of eternal glory. We all have received of His fullest, grace for grace. Its the Word that is near us, in our heart & in our mouth, the Word of Faith The free Gift of the Father, the Grace of God that brings salvation that appears to all mankind. He's within us, He's the still small Voice, instructing us in the exercising of Word of Righteousnes in discerning between of Good & evil within our conscience/heart. This is the Treasure we have in our earthen vessels, that the excellency of the Power to receive & understand the things of God is not of ourselves, but of God. This is Christ spiritual appearance within, appearing a 2nd time bringing us salvation to all that wait upon Him in Spirit & in Truth. He was made a life giving Spirit, the words that He speak within are Spirit & Life.. Paul says he receive it not from man or by his own self efforts of study, but by revelation of the Spirit, God is not a respect of person, so why shouldn't we receive of Him the same way. Turn within, Truth in the inward parts, there Wisdom shines forth the glory & the knowledge of God, in the face of Christ,

    Mr. Landry,

    Based upon what you are saying, what is the current condition of believers such as Abraham, David, Paul, Peter, all those whom Christ has saved and have died. Are they alive in their physical bodies somewhere?

    How do you understand the passages in the scripture that clearly state these believers experienced physical death, and they're physical bodies were buried?

    I do understand the Bible clearly teaches that all of these believers are indeed alive in their Resurrected soul existence, and currently residing in their soul existence with Christ in heaven, awaiting the last day, when they will receive their glorified spiritual bodies at the resurrection of the last day. That I think is very clear from the Bible.

    Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

    2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

    The First Resurrection in Revelation 20 is becoming Born Again.

    Hello Pierre , I don't disagree with you but we have to remember that many people , throughout history , wouldn't have had any clue about God or Jesus unless they had read the Bible , the Word had to be published throughout the earth . The main thing for me , is that I learn by Jesus's example . How he behaved towards others and especially his obedience to God's will . This is the whole law to me , the law of love , faith and obedience , these traits epitomise Christ and he is our example , his example lives in my heart and many times I have to stop myself and think ' no , this isn't what Jesus would do ' so I shouldn't be doing it or ,' this is what Jesus would do so ' I must do it . He says ,Learn from me for I am meek and lowly in heart . We are children and children need to be taught , how to behave and what our parents expect from us . We cannot hope to please God if we don't take notice of His Son . Love in Christ .

    Brother David0921:

    You said when a believer dies his body goes to the grave to await the resurrection.

    The word says unbelievers go to the grave to await the resurrection, they will be raised back in there bodies of flesh and blood.

    Believers never die again, they have already died once with Christ.

    Martha had the same belief as you, she said to Christ:

    John 11:24 ..... I know he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

    Martha was a unbeliever.

    Jesus SAID:

    John 11:25 ..... I am the resurrection ....

    John 11:26 Whosoever BELIEVETH IN ME shall NEVER DIE .....

    Luke 20:36 Neither can they DIED ANYMORE:

    When did they DIE? .... on the cross .....

    for they are EQUAL to the angels; and are the children of God, being the CHILDREN of the RESURRECTION.

    Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the FIRST RESURRECTION, on such the SECOND DEATH has no power .....

    God bless you
