The LORD is my ROCK in HIM I will hide, for HE is my shelter in the time of storm. I have nothing to fear or regret when I place all things into my LORD'S hands. For my KING the LORD JESUS CHRIST will make all things right and just and I will praise and worship HIM.

To truly praise and glorify HIM, I must therefore go forward as a soldier of the LORD to plant the seed, to water by helping to nurture disciples and baptizing them; giving to further the work, and having a disciplined and deeply rooted prayer life in HIS word. I will endeavor to study and meditate in HIS word to know the will of my SAVIOR GOD and going out to do the work that I am ordained to do.

Although, I fall woefully short in my desire to exalt my LORD; I press on for the sake of the high calling of my Savior KING. 2 Peter 3:9; Matthew 28: 18-20; 2 Chronicles 7: 14, 15; 1 Timothy 2:1-4; Psalms 126:6; Romans 10:9-12; Galatians 5:16

GOD to shine HIS face on all who trust in HIS Word and gloriously bless the works of your hands done in CHRIST Name.

    Hello

Gailee Question: does the Bible say that there is Woman Angels?

You are MountHoreb replying to a comment by "Gailee":

Angels are Spirits ( John 4:24) in Heaven Jesus explains at Matthew 22:29,30.

if you read about a women in heaven like Revelation 12:1,2 This is symbolic or illustrating the point revelation 1:1.

However, Angels can materialize into a human. or turn themselves into human flesh. we have an

example of the bad Angels who forsook their assigned positions in heaven to have sex with the beautiful woman

on earth. they "took wives" for themselves. according to Genesis 6 these angels are called "Sons of God" because they were created in heaven. Although Angels are either male nor female. descending to earth, angels have this ability. again these are angels who went evil or bad. who went against Jehovah ( Psalm 83:18) like Satan the serpent! Matthew 4:1-11; Ephesians

A few examples of Good Angels who had a earthly assignment: Genesis 18 and 19 Chapters.

"Three Men" are materialized good angels. in verse 19 the angels in Sodom struck the mob of boys and old men

who wanted to have sex or lie down with them. so which means these mob of males saw these angels as Males.

There is no scripture that shows that that angels ever materialized into females. for the simple fact that Adam was created first as the Male. Eve was a helper to him, created so he will not be alone. Genesis 1:26; Genesis 2:18; Genesis 5:1,2; Ephesians 5:23; 1 Timothy 2:13,14. However, women on earth are valuable to God also: Acts 2:17

so the overall point here is, No there is no woman in heaven, nor men, nor children. for they are

all angels in heaven as JESUS SAID.

I HOPE These scriptures help. Thanks.

You can read all of the warnings of the latter days through the teachings of Jesus, Paul, and most of all of his writings, John the beloved. We are most definately in the last, or latter, days, because of the sin abounding and the love of many waxing cold as God's word teaches. We are so close to the catching away,or rapture, the event can happen at any time or second. The tribulation time is for the Jewish people and you can read about this in Matthew 24. God bless you, Sister Jan.

Our spirit, breathe of life, goes back to God from where it came. Our Soul, which is you, goes immediately to Heaven or hell, according to the teachings of the word of God. Genenis 2:7 Through the birth, death, and ressurection of Jesus we are under the covenant of Grace and we that are saved and belong to Him upon death our souls are in His presence, which is in Heaven. God bless you. Jan

Hello everyone, Had an interesting question asked at our men's Bible group. " Our we sinners because we sin, or do we sin because where're sinners". Would like to hear your comments based from the Bible . Thank you

    MountHoreb Response to Leoj:

When reading the bible, A Sinner is someone who has a leaning or urge to go against the will of Jehovah God ( Psalm 83:18)

God Saids one thing; a Sinner is inclined to go the other way. we have an example at Genesis 3

    Point: Romans 5:12-15

    There is Hope: John 3:16,17; 1 Timothy 1:8-10; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; John 17:3

Jehovah ( psalm 83:18) is not looking for perfection. he is like a father and we are like his Children prone to mistakes.

our father is looking for us to tell him the truth, to be humble, to cry to him and repent especially if it's something that

is to difficult to handle on our own. as sinners we need the spirit of God in order to have self-control in all things. This is why Jesus said what he said at Matthew 6:9-12; 1 Peter 5:6-11

    Point: Luke 24:45-48; Romans 7:7-25

    Hope these scriptures help. Thanks

    S. Spenser , all I have read on this site is just people giving their thoughts and opinions on the Bible , so far everyone seems very respectful of each others beliefs and polite in their expression of their opinions . The Bible is the Truth and it seems that everyone on here is genuine in their search for understanding , I haven't read anything offensive as yet , some things I don't necessarily agree with but that's freedom of speech and maybe there are plenty of people on here who wouldn't agree with all of my beliefs . This site is a great forum but only because people can speak freely and learn from each other .

    Hi David.

    I agree entirely.

" if we want to correctly understand any doctrine in the Bible we must look at any and every passage in the entire Bible that relates to that doctrine.

That was my illustration as well.

    Hi Charlie.

    Here's the short of it.

There's some on the site that holds to the belief that we will ALL be Gods.

Every person to have exit the womb will some day be Gods.

One day the worst sinners to ever live will not only go to heaven whether they repents or not but they will be Gods.!

In Isaiah 14:14 Satan says he will be "like" the Most High.

This group takes it further and says we all "WILL BE THE MOST HIGH! and they say there is no Satan, he was the flesh.

    There's no consequences for sin!

We preach the Gospel (Good news) They say that's man's doctrine and you are going to be Gods no matter what you believe!

The delivery of this message is so important to them that they charge their name frequently.

    You've been talking to them.

    God bless.

Very well said David , thankyou so much , I agree with everything you said . From my own reading of the entire Bible , I have discovered that many things that Christians adhere to as doctrines , are not in fact Biblical . It's so very important , for anyone who wants to draw closer to the Only Great God Almighty , the Holy One of Israel , to start off with no preconceptions . Start at Genesis , read it all and then , read it all again and again and again for the rest of your life . The Bible is the most perfectly harmonious book , anyone who doesn't realise this hasn't read all of it often enough . Every single book is as valid as every other . Everything God does and says is in perfect harmony with everything else that He does and says . The problem is with us humans , coming to His Word with our own agendas and preconceptions . Many of my beliefs are things that I would never ever discuss on this site as I would probably be hounded off here . My faith in and love for my God and His Son grows stronger and stronger with every time that I read the entire Bible . May God bless us all with open hearts and minds and may He make us all His forever . God bless you David .

    Hello again Mr. Spencer,

I understand your desire not to get into a discussion of Dispensationalism and how God deals with mankind, in particular the Nation of Israel throughout history, past present and future, in this thread. So I will respect that desire. I will just say this...

The fundamental question we all must face even before we start talking about "doctrine" is the nature of the Bible and how we are to go about interpreting it. I have tried to be very clear in many of my posts as to what i believe the Bible itself declares about this question. In its simplest terms it is the BIBLE ALONE AND IN ITS ENTIRITY is the ONLY WORD OF GOD. This means that God Himself is the AUTHOR of the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. And that every word, every phrase, every passage, every historical event, every future event, is recorded in exactly the manner that God chose to record it. It means that if we want to correctly understand any doctrine in the Bible we must look at any and every passage in the entire Bible that relates to that doctrine. And until we have found HARMONY with all those verses and passage, we have not come to Truth. We are not comparing the writings of Paul with the writings of Peter or Jeremiah or Isaiah or any other human author when we do this; we are comparing in all cases the Word of God with the Word of God. And we can and should be looking to see how God uses a word of phrase in Jeremiah or Exodus with how He uses similar words and phrases in Mark or Romans or Revelations.

Furthermore, this means that the Bible is its OWN INTERPRETER, and the more we allow outside understandings or principals to influence our interpretation process the further from Truth we will be led. The Bible itself lays down the principals we are to use in Biblical interpretation. I've tried to lay those out in previous posts. I do not find the Historical-Grammatical method of interpretation, to pick on the most common, outlined anywhere in the Bible.

    S. Spencer there is an element of truth in what you are saying.....There is another Israel coming but they are spirits as Jesus said that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G. the Israel of God.... Isaiah 49:10... and Rev.7:16.....Both say they will not hunger nor thirst ever. ....Nor will the sun or any heat lite on them......How cd this be possible simply b/c they are Spirits.....Thats y Jesus is saying that which is BORN of the spirit is spirit which is the H.G. the children of Promise....The Israel of God.... I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven thus spirits the H.G. I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH.... The good seed is the living word which is spirit and life thus the fruit the wheat has to be spirit which are the Children of Promise the H.G. That Child of Promise.....But we cannot be carnal minded or we will miss this great truth....There is an Israel of God on the Horizon but they are spirits...They are Our new hearts and new spirits....Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me....Thats y Jesus said the Kingdom cometh not with observation.....Simply b/c they are Spirits the H.G. that is gonna be as the stars of heaven....An Israel of God....Remember 3 rd person Jacob's name was changed to Israel just prophetic that the Heavenly 3 rd person the H.G. IS the ISRAEL OF GOD....That is gonna be born in us sinners....That hear his words his good seeds.....Thats y he has to know us....The New Jerualem is heaveny meaning in the spiritual realm....But its gonna be right here on this earth....Rev.11:15 The kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdoms of our Lord and His Christ and he shall reign forever and ever....ok leme go....The manchild which is the H.G. the spirit of truth is gonna reprove this world of Sin and Righteousness and Judgement.....

    Hi David.

Sorry but I'm not wanting to turn what Gigi started a couple of years ago as a summary through the OT.

I'm emphasizing how God deals with them as a Nation as he do us today. ( With mercy for his name sake.) He will complete what he started! He's not a man where he lies or repent. This will be illustrated in Ch 23 vs 19 "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

The fact that God decided to continue his promises with the next generation "kids 20 years and below" and continue to carry them on eagles wings in the wilderness emphasis he's committed to carrying on with his promises and dealing with them as a Nation as part of his redemption plan.

That's the same kind of display of commitment and faithfulness he has for his Church.

We're a stiff neck people as well who has the spirit INSIDE US! so we should be encouraged by God not abandoning Israel.

    We should consider

    Hebrews 10:29-31. and

    Romans 11:18-20.

I've read and studied Hebrews 11 and interpret those verses perhaps slightly different than you and don't care to get into that on this thread.

However I will leave you with this, How they are to pray.

Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. THY KINGDOM COME. Thy will be done, AS IN HEAVEN, SO IN EARTH.

    This haven't happened yet.

I'll be leaving this thread for now.

    God bless.

When a group gets to study Bible Truth but one of the guidelines is no personal opinion? Is that not taking away the freedom that God gave us? The freedom to question and form an opinion on the different answers to help us see the truth.

Do we have God's preserved Word today?

( Isa. 40:8) "but the word of our God shall stand for ever". (the word of God shall stand for ever)

We are told in ( Jn. 1:1,14) v1 "the Word was God". v14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us". The Word was God, The Word was made flesh. Jesus Christ was the Word, Jesus Christ was God!

In ( Deut. 8:3) "that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by ((every word)) ((that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD)) doth man live". (man is to live by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of Jesus Christ).

We should be living by ((every Word)) that proceeded out of the mouth of our LORD Jesus Christ.

Jesus says in ( Mt. 4:4) "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by ((every word)) that proceedeth out of the mouth of God". The Word was God, the Word was made flesh. Jesus Christ was God in flesh and we are told to live by ((every word)) that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD.

( Ps. 12:6-7) v6 "The words of the LORD are pure words". ((The Words Jesus Christ spoke were pure words)) v7 "Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever". ((The Words Jesus Christ spoke were preserved for ever)) ( Jn. 14:23-24)

How did we get it for this generation? ( 2 Pet. 1:19-21) "holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" in 1611.

( Prov. 30:5-6) v5 "Every word of God is pure". v6 "Add thou not unto his words".

( 2 Tim. 3:16) "All scripture is given by inspiration of God" (The Word was God, Jesus was God, Jesus was the Word)

( 2 Tim. 2:15) Tells us "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". (rightly dividing the word of truth)? Jesus was the Word, and the truth ( Jn. 14:6) "I am the way, the truth, and the life".

( 1 Cor. 1:10) "that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind".

    Mr. Spencer,

I would encourage you to read Hebrews 11 very carefully.

The "Land" that was promised to Abraham is the New Heavens and New Earth which is the Promised Land for every True Believer.

Hebrews 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

Hebrews 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

And yes, Repentance is a work. Any obedience to any command of God is a "work" that we do. And we are certainly commanded to Repent.

    NUMBERS CH. 14

    PART 4

...to the top of a mountain, saying that they will now go in and take the land promised, because they had sinned. They realized that they had sinned against God by believing the evil report and not trusting God to deliver the land to them. But now they were ready to go into the land and possess it. So, this is what their "repentance" looked like. After they had heard from Moses all that God had said would happen to them, they then were willing to go into the promised land instead of dying in the wilderness.

Moses tells them to not go into the land because the LORD will not go with them. He had decreed that all these people would die in the wilderness and He would not go back on that decree. Moses tells them that the Amalekites and Canaanites are waiting with their swords and they will be slain right off the bat because they had turned from the LORD and He will not protect them nor go with them to conquer.

But the people PRESUMED and went up the mountain, but the Amalekites and Canaanites came down the mountain to smote them. The Israelites could not advance into the promised land due to their presence and strength. Thus ends this chapter.

The word "PRESUMED" is a big word meaning that the people thought that the LORD would surely help them because they were His people. But they were going to do what the LORD disallowed (entering to the land) and their presumption brought them defeat at the hands of the Amalekites and Canaanites.

We, too, need to be careful of presuming on the Lord that He will spare us or help us or bless us when we step ahead into a sinful way just because we believe. We need to seek His will, not our own and be always thankful and grateful for His mercy, grace, and relationship with us even as we are still sinners.

This chapter in Numbers is very instructive to us in many ways. I have gleaned a few lessons from it. I hope some of you will read it for yourselves and discover what the Holy Spirit brings forth to you.

    NUMBERS CHAPTER 14

    PT. 3

The LORD says to Moses, "I have pardoned according to thy word; But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not harkened to my voice, surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of them that have provoked me see it.:

Moses is a friend of God. They can reason together because God condescends to hear Moses and consider what he says, not to gain any advice or be softened by Moses' intercession but to reward His friend, Moses, for seeking Him with all of His heart, soul, mind, and strength; for Moses continuing to lead the people as God called him to do; for Moses having a deep love and genuine concern for this nation of people that God has chosen. God knew Moses' heart, all of the thoughts he would ever think or speak, yet the LORD desires to hear Moses and answer his prayers for this rebellious people. How favored Moses was, yet with this favor came great responsibility.

The LORD goes on to say that only Caleb and Joshua, and all of the chidren younger than 20 years old will enter the promised land. The rest of the people will die in the wilderness as they will wander 1 year for every day the leaders were spying out the land. In forty years, all of the people of Israel over 20 years old will die in the wilderness, except Joshua and Caleb. Moses must have realized that he and Aaron will also die in the wilderness. God was giving the people what they had murmured in God's ear about, dying in the wilderness rather than entering the promised land. (vs. 28). To the men who brought the evil report, God put upon them a plague that killed them swiftly.

The people mourned when they heard from Moses all that the LORD had said. But this was mourning without repentance. The next morning ...,cont.

    NUMBERS CHAPTER 14

    ...CONT.

Instead of heeding what Moses and Aaron pleaded for them to do, the people were ready to stone Moses, Aaron, Joshua, and Caleb to death.

At this moment the glory of the LORD appeared in the tabernacle before the people, speaking to Moses :How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed them? I will spite them with pestilence. and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they."

The people had, in just a little over a year, murmured and grumbled and complained and turned away from the LORD many, many times, even though they had agreed to the Sinai covenant. These people received mercy upon mercy from the LORD. He was willing to forgive them over and over again. Even so, all of these sinful occasions provoked God to bring severe judgment upon them, and He had every right to do so. Each time, Moses pleaded with the LORD to be merciful and to stay with this people. God listened to Moses and accepted his intercessory work on behalf of the people. This time God was not only wanting to punish the people, but disinherit them too, and He had every right to do so.

Moses, once again, pleaded with the LORD, speaking to the point that to destroy this people altogether would look like weakness on the part of the LORD to the Egyptians and the people of Canaan. Moses was concerned for the honor of the LORD's name among His people and fearsome reverence from the people in the surrounding lands. Of course, the LORD already knew how Moses would beseech Him in this way. God does not need to be flattered or appeased in any way, but Moses' concern was genuine and the LORD accounted for that in His response to Moses and the people.

In verses 17-18 Moses speaks of the LORD showing His power greatly, And Moses then speaks of the longsuffering of the LORD, His great mercy, and His forgiving nature towards the Israelites throughout the past year.

    You're welcome Gigi.

Look how God's longsuffering and everlasting mercy plays a role in the Nation!

Here's a few points that's often overlooked in this portion of scripture.

Israel was already given the law at this time, however the keeping of the law played no role in them entering the promise land.

    Lack of faith did.

There were no requirements on their part but to trust in the unconditional promises God gave to Abraham.

It's God's reputation and ability to provide those promises was and still is on display.

As we look ahead into Ch 14 we see Moses making intercession for Israel by God's promises, "Not Israel's faithfulness"

    Notice Numbers 14:11-16.

Today the Church has joined this group in their mockery of God's promises!

God could have ended it right there but he made Promises to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob "who's later named Israel" that he will make a nation out of them and they would inherit a Land that he laid out.

That's important because they have NEVER possessed all the Land. But they will!

Look at the means by which Moses petition God on the behalf of Israel in Numbers 14:17-

And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,

The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of THIS PEOPLE according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven THIS PEOPLE, from Egypt even until now.

The Nation of Israel is given mercy and inheritance as God's first born.

    Exodus 4:22.

    Isaiah 14:1-2.

    Hosea 2:23.

According to Paul he's not done with them and the promises will be fulfilled to them as a Nation and first born.

    Romans 10:19-21 through

    Romans 11:1-4.

    Conclusion.

    Romans 11:30-32.

    God bless.

I beg of you to say a quick prayer for me, Jeffrey, that all curses upon me be broken. And that God and his grace.may heal me and restore my hope. & bolster my strong faith. At least I like to think it is.
