First of all i would like to point out few things

If you don't repent your sins before God and believe in the lord Jesus Christ

you will not see nor enter the kingdom of God. JOHN 3:3.

Majority of churches today they have departed from the word of God, and they have either loved the world and the life of it while the Scriptures expresses, we are not of the world and Jesus the son of God has said my kingdom is not of the world.

In Doing so the churches have Turned from grace to legalism and from the word of God to Tradition of men. Some churches nowadays its even impossible to preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified at the cross.

I pray God to Open your mind for understanding Amen.

Instead of Teaching what is given to us in the scriptures, we as men have added and twisted the word of God, and in the process, we have gone form Obeying God to Be entertainers and men-pleaser.

and this is evident in the world and in the scriptures.

Remember the Jews, scribes and Pharisees who took the law of Moses and sub-divided it, is creating their own ways of worshiping God then from that point on it became words of men and Tradition which they followed to appoint That even when the Son of God was standing right next to them, they could not recognize Him.

Same as what we are experiencing in the generations that has pasted and this current one, Massive Tradition of men to appoint that our churches have become entertainment center wondering If Jesus will find Faith on Earth when he Cames back? Luke 18:8

    Matthew 15:1-3

1Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. 3But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

So there's no place in the bible that state we should oberserve any Lent commemorating the 40 days., Please read your bible, Pray without ceasing and Fast before the Lord

In reading all of the different collaborations regarding Jesus telling the disciples that one of them would betray him , why isn't there an account about how no one reacted when Judas dipped his bread in the wine with Jesus. Like did the disciples know then or did they not notice?

    Hi Jcolli9,

Thank you, this site is great, and the brothers and sisters that are on it.

The Hebrew calendar has been pretty much a 7-day calendar as the 7-day creation in Genesis. They just went by 1st day 2nd day and so on till the 7th day. The days of the week and their sequence have not changed by the calendar changes. The day Jesus was resurrected was on the Feast of First Fruits which is the first day after the Sabbath after Passover.

Passover is always on the 14th of Nisan regardless of the day of the week it falls on. It is one day, on this day all leaven had to be cleaned out of the houses and out of Jerusalem. The Lamb that was chosen on the 10th was to be sacrificed at even, that is any time after the sun started down and before the sunset.

So regardless of what day the Passover is on, the Feast of First Fruits will always be the 1st day/Sunday after. Easter is now not gone by Passover it goes the first Sunday after the full moon of the equinox that is why you will see Easter come before Passover three times in a 19-year cycle. Start in Exodus 12 and you will see Jesus fulfilled it all right down to the time of day.

From an old man, clear your mind of preconceived ideas before you pray and read/study. If we already have an answer in our mind, how can we hear the Holy Spirit, whether true or not, all the scripture we read will seem to line up with the answer we have in our head. "He who has ears to hear let him hear".

    God bless,

    RLW

    Hey Donna,

The old Darnel, wheat's evil twin, it as the world is intoxicating, and enough of it will kill. We eat the seeds and get dizzy or today a buzz, like the seeds of the world we want more and more, and death is the reward. Like the darnel the world messes with our vision as our reading and studying of the word, the answers from our mind fit better with the world than the answers from the Holy Spirit. They hide amongst the good and only can be identified at the time of harvest.

Good parable, that fits the world today.

    God bless,

    RLW

I think it's just to eliminate waste because they couldn't save the meat they didn't eat Exodus 12:10 "And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire."

So if a household was just a man and his wife, roasting an entire lamb for one meal, is wasting a lot of meat. So, they could join with their neighbor and share a lamb. I hope that helps.

Donna, you have a lot of good points there. I however believe God did make His word easy to understand, as long as you are coming to it as a child and not a Pharisee. Psalms 119:130 "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple."

If there are things I don't understand in the bible, I set it aside and come back to it later, I pray for understanding.

I have two Strong's sitting on a shelf collecting dust. I can't rationalize taking an English word, going back to Hebrew or Greek, to get the English meaning. I personally believe the KJV transcribers did a good job.

Also, Jesus gives us a lot of information, when the apostles didn't understand what He was teaching, Jesus broke it down for them....and for us.

It actually melts my heart when I think of how God loved us so much, He gave us His Word, Jesus said that it would be published among all nations. So, everyone, from the farmer to the King of England could read His Word, and if they have eyes to see and ears to hear, they might also understand.

    God Bless

what does Exodus 12:4 mean if your household is too small what was the required amount needed ?
  • Donna Stephens - In Reply - 1 year ago
    TammyC;

God didn't make his word easy to understand if it were easy they wouldn't be thousands of different beliefs.

He made each of us a part of his body.

He brings us together so each can add their gift to the collective understanding of his word.

There are some he brings that understand Greek, some understand history, some understand prophecies, some understand prayer, all have a part in our coming to truth.

A large part of the parables are ingrained in farming and husbandry; my great grandparents, my grandparents, my parents

were farmers, I have lived on the farm and farmed all my life.

I have seen the wheat and tares growing together, at harvest the labours are sent into the field to gather the crop, some go ahead and gather out of the field the noxious weeds, place them on a flatbed trailer and carry them to the end of the field and burn them, so the seed of that unwanted weed doesn't propagate itself.

The wheat is put in the barn, to be used latter, as food for man and beast, but also to be replanted to propagate itself.

The parable depicts these two kinds of seed, one the WORD OF GOD of God, the other the deception and false teachings of Satan.

These seeds of Satan abide in our CARNAL mind, each person is the vineyard of God, the labours are the angles, spiritual messengers, that harvest the seeds, they are ministers of FIRE.

Psalms 104:4 Who maketh his angels SPIRIT; his ministers a FLAMING FIRE.

They gather the seeds of Satan; the carnal mine, that is enmity to the WORD, and they destroy those seeds by the FIRE OF THE LORD; his WORD, TRUTH, then they gather the wheat into the barn.

This is a ONE on ONE harvest.

Isaiah 27:12 ...and I shall gather (harvest) YOU ONE BY ONE, O ye children of Israel.

Christ is the PROMISED SEED of Israel.

    God bless you.

Hello RLW, thank you for answering my question. Do you think that the Calendar and days being changed has anything to do with this? I love this App. It's not that I am a lazy person and can't take time to read the bible. I just like getting people perspective on a subject and this leads me down a rabbit trail to find the answer and so much MORE. I am humbled every time I ask a question on here. And more than one person will give an answer and you can check the answers and compare them and then most of ALL PRAY about them and let the Holy-Spirit give you the final answer.

    Thanks AGAIN RLW

    Rick Colombe:

Salvation is a GIFT of God.

You were saved from death 2000 years ago

    Christ is your passover lamb.

His blood covers you, his house, and DEATH passed over you.

You DIED with Christ your were resurrected with Christ, YOU became a new creation, by your and Christ being resurrected as ONE BODY.

Your body of flesh and blood will return to the dust from when it came.

When your body of dust ceases to be, you will be translated, in the blink of an eye, into the presence of God.

1 Corinthians 15:54 ....Death is swallowed up in victory .....

1 Corinthians 15:.... this mortal shall PUT ON immorality .....

1 Timothy 6:16 ....Christ ONLY hath immorality, dwelling in the light .....

I Corinthians 15:49 ...as we have borne the image of the earthly, we shall bear the image of the heavenly ....

1 Corinthians 15:38 ...But God giveth it (the new creation, resurrected with Christ) a BODY as it hath pleased him, and to every SEED his OWN (resurrected) BODY.

You were crucified with Christ, your were raised with Christ, THE GIFT OF GOD.

You are saved by grace, God's unmerited favour toward you, his love for you.

ALL WHEN WE WERE YET SINNERS.

    God bless you.

It does ChildoftheKing. I'm beginning to learn, it's not about whether someone is pre, mid or post, but that they know the Word of God period. I think if a person knows God's Word, they will be prepared for whatever takes place. God Bless!

Thank you ChildoftheKing, that is kind of what we've been led to do, both celebrating resurrection day and a Christian passover. Your comment makes a lot of sense. God Bless

In today's inflated costs of burial it appears that cremation would be the most financially responsible course to choose. I had struggled with this issue for years, as we are supposed to be followers of Christ, and His example. Jesus went to the grave, which makes sense that we should do as He did, yet for a good percentage of Christians the cost of a traditional burial is cost prohibitive and/or puts a financial burden upon families that could be avoided somewhat, if the less expensive cremation were chosen.

Above all else, God knows our hearts, and He will resurrect us no matter how we die or how we're buried. The important thing is that we are His and NOT the world's. Again, what I had just shared were my own thoughts.

No you have to repent of your sins to be born again. John3:3 1Peter1:23 Romans6:6 Baptism is important but if you don't you want miss heaven. The thief on the cross did not have time to be baptized. Luke 24:42-47 All christians should be baptized and want to follow every example Jesus left us.

We live on earth we are in this world but not of this world. meaning the ways of the world. To be a friend of this world is to be an enemy to God. All that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, the lust if the eye and pride of life. When you're born again you have a different spirit. You are not the same you have the spirit of God in you. look up theses scriptures. James 4:4 1 John 2:15 Romans12:2

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave or free, nor is there male or female we are all ONE in Jesus Christ. We don't have to follow the "Jews" tradition or the "Gentiles". Follow the spirit and the Word. (The New Testament Church) Gentiles were engrafted in and it was no longer just the Jews. That's why it was at Antioch they were called Christians for the first time. Paul taught in Galatians we don't have to follow the Jewish tradition. "The New Testament Church" had people from different backgrounds being born again. The Holy Spirit will guide us into all truth and righteousness. Churches are full of tradition. Jesus didn't have tradition "man made convictions/tradition" such as don't cut your hair. Woman shouldn't ware Jeans. You have to celebrate this or that. Jesus preached the Word. Easter is a pagan holiday(come from Babylon) the world celebrates many people have not been raised in church and don't know any better. Most Christians celebrate Resurrection Day and the Passover because we remember our Lord and Savior and all he did at Calvary. (Is chapter53)

Only God knows how far into tribulation. He only gave us the signs of the end time and the beginning of sorrows. The most important message Jesus was saying BE READY and TELL OTHERS. whether its pre or mid he's coming back and soon. God bless you hope this encourages you.

She was blessed and highly favored. Only Jesus Christ was without sin. He was and is the perfect Lamb with out spot or blemish. There is none righteous no not one. Our righteousness is as filthy rags that why were washed in his blood when were born again. John 14:30 1 Peter 1:19 Luke 1:26.

Dear Joni, when Jesus was being tempted in the wilderness, he did not argue with Satan--He used scripture like a sword to resist that old dragon. And that is what we are to do. Find a verse to match each temptation and hurl it at him.

    THE GREAT TRIBULATION

    What is it?

    When is it?

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION such as was not since the beginning of the world to THIS TIME (of the great tribulation), no, nor shall ever be (but this one time).

Matthew 24:22 And except those days (of the great tribulation) BE SHORTENED; there should no flesh be SAVED; but for the elects sake those days (of the great tribulation) SHALL BE SHORTENED.

According to God's word NO FLESH can BE SAVED until after the GREAT TRIBULATION.

    Are you saved NOW?

Yes, you were saved by the RESURRECTION.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ ....

Romans 6:6 Knowing this, our old man is crucified with him .....

Romans 6:5 ...we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.....

Colossians 3:1 If ye be then risen with Christ .......

Luke 20:36 ...being the children of the resurrection .....

The wrath of God; that GREAT TRIBULATION, was poured out on Christ, the Great tribulation was SHORTENED to 3 days, for the elects sake.

    God bless you.

    Mary1979:

H.G. is the Holy Ghost, aka the Holy Spirit, aka the Spirit of Christ, aka the Spirit of prophecy, aka the Comforter, poured out on mankind at pentecost.

This spirit of God is the one that reveals to use truth and life and the way, gives us peace, understanding and wisdom.

    All a GIFT of GOD.

    God bless you.

Your right, it is what was meant to be.

Daniel 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, nor say unto him, What doest thou?

    God bless you.

    Thank you Chris:

I guess not much has changed in the last 2000 years, man is still taking matters into their own hands, believing the are fulfilling the law.

    God bless you.
  • TammyC - In Reply - 1 year ago
You're right Donna, not many of us know about farming these days. But, the Lord taught the Word so that even the most simple people could understand it. God is so loving, He made His Word so simple, children can understand it. That is true love. God isn't going to make His word so difficult that you have to know Greek and Hebrew or look in other books to figure out what His Word is conveying. God is so good.

Chris, concerning the harvest, spoken of in Rev 14, where the two sickles are thrust in, we read in Matthew 13 about the "harvest" where angels (the reapers) gather separately the wheat and the tares. That is the same event.

The first sickle that was thrust in in Rev 14 isn't a wrath, nor does it say it's a wrath or punishment:

14And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

15And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

16And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

    But

The second sickle is clearly a wrath and it says so

17And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

18And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

19And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

This is what I see, and believe
