    Amen Tammy C.

    Matthew 7:13-23.

    Here are some interesting points highlighted in this discourse;

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many WONDERFUL WORKS? (The wonderful works is not disputed.) There was a outward show of holliness.

And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. (CHRIST WILL PROFESS TO THEM HE (NEVER) KNEW THEM! They were NEVER connected to the vine. He NEVER knew them!!

Our outward act needs to generate from within!

This is a circumcised heart Paul speaks of in Romans 2:29. This is not done by man it is done by conversion!

It's what the the Jews couldn't do by self-effort by following command.

This is also what Jesus is telling the scribes and Pharisees in Matthew 23:25-26; Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

This is baptism by the holy spirit. We are quickened by the spirit! Christ IN us!

Romans 8:11-14. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.

For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

FOR AS MANY AS ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, they are the sons of God.

It IS NOT HOW BUSY WE ARE!

IT IS HOW BUSY CHRIST IS IN US, IS THAT WHAT MAKES US SPIRITUAL.

    Also, Philippians 1:6.

And if Christ is performing in you, you will have the fruit of the spirit present NOT the works of the flesh!

    God bless.

I think the verses you've used have a theme of what a Christian's behavior should be. So, if a Christian says they believe in Jesus, they do well, because even the demons believe. But a Christian should have an outward sign of belief in their works/behavior/fruit. Matthew 7:21 "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." 22 "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?"

23 "And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

So called Christians thought they were saved, but Jesus said He never knew them, because they were workers of iniquity (sin). They never repented.

    John 17:22-23.

what does these verses mean to you?

    1 john 2:5-6.

but whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of god perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

this is a condition exercised by the influence of the lord being in you!!

so this is uniquely performed amongst brothern!!

    john 13:34-35.

a new commandment i give unto you, that ye love one another; as i have loved you, that ye also love one another.

( by this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.)

    this is salvation at work!!

you shall know them by their fruit! matthew 7:13-23.

one can profess to believe in a grace based relationship with christ or even deceive themselves to believing they have a grace relationship with christ but can't display the fruit associated with what they claim to be truth.

this is not christ "in you"

however, there's the spirit of antichrist in th world.

    1 john 2:18.

little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

this is why we examine ourselves.

    they lack fruit!

    1) they hate the brothern.

2)thet dont inwardly have what's mentioned in galatians 5:22-23.

"love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

they that are christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

    contrary to fruit is;

idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like:

if we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.

let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

sadly a part of eschatology that won't last a week.

    god bless.

HMM. Lisalou, I meant to send this to Jema, don't know what happened.

Love your name, by the way.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 1 year ago
Yes, Jema, God inspired ALL of Scripture to be for ALL people in all nations in all ages. We are not to "divide up" Scripture like the dispensational doctrine says in order to identify some Scriptures to be solely for the Jews or Israel and not for the Christians, and other Scriptures as being solely for the Church and not for the Jews or Israel. This approach goes directly against what Paul says in 2 Timothy 3:16 that ALL Scripture is God-breathed and useful for all people for Doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction for godly living. To dismiss some Scripture as being applicable to Christians (as dispensationalism teaches) Allows ANYONE to eliminate whatever they do not like to apply to themselves, which is dangerous.

But anyway, we can all embrace ALL of what God has to say to us in the Word. And we can pray that for a willingness to submit to sound instruction from the Word and from those God places in our lives to instruct and guide us in our Christian walk.

God's blessing to you, Jema, today and always.

    Alex, continued

For instruction in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect (complete), thoroughly furnished (equipped) unto all good works."

Alex, I pray that you will stop dissing the written, God-breathed Word of God, along with the church as a whole. Your disdain for what God calls us to respect, love, and uphold is concerning. If you truly believe that believers do not need any one else to teach them, then why do you post on here and tell people that they are in error followed by your "correction"? If what you say is true about each person learning by the Spirit without the input of others, then we can just disregard what you say because, according to your view, we have nothing to learn from you.

Alex, you know that I love and care for you, so this is not an attack on you, rather it is a logical response to what you have posted. I hope you have a good day. You do not need to respond back.
  • GIGI - In Reply on Malachi 4 - 1 year ago
Alex, God used men to spread the gospel and teach others as He commissioned the apostles and many other disciples to go and teach all nations what He had taught them. And then, He inspired men to write their teachings in letters to the churches and in the gospel accounts as well as Acts. God used Moses to write the books of the Old Testament and David and others to write their psalms.

Anyone who resists learning from others resists God's ordained way of building up the body of Christ. Your prejudice against the church is so evident, as you indicate that you are a loner and separated from any oversight over your Christian walk. Of course, we have the Holy spirit within us since our conversion, but the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write that we are to submit to those He has put over us to teach and direct us in the Word and in how we live out our lives in Christ ( 1 Cor. 16:15-16; Heb. 13:17)

You can "keep telling me" of your take on this till you are blue in the face. I will not heed what you say because it goes against Scripture and shows a lack of humility, reveals an unteachable spirit where you lack a willingness to learn from others whom God may send to you to instruct you. You have shown by your repeated posts with the same narrative that you hold to some grievous errors that have been addressed by myself and others on this forum repeatedly.

We are told in Scripture to test what we hear preached, taught, or promulgated by people who claim to be Christians to be sure that it aligns with Scripture. The words of Scripture are our guide to sound beliefs that will keep us from straying into false beliefs. This is what God has chosen for His Church as a means for instruction and for bringing people to faith in Jesus. But, although you cite Scriptures regularly, you say that the letter kills.

We are told in 2 Timothy 3:16 that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, .. continued

    .....that good may result.

Why should the good appear in evil's form; and is it not deception if it does?

For now, I feel inclined, perhaps inspired, to continue believing God is FULL of love, thus leaving no options that He can oppose Himself by being anything other than Love. In this manner, I CAN recognize what truly is from God and what is not, lest I be confused.

    pg.1

I would very much benefit by being capable of differentiating between the Goodness of God (Agathos in Greek, thank you Jesse) and what is not considered as His goodness, i.e. His Love, and what is not His love. Occasionally, I read the comment God is "full of Love," yet I perceive from others that in this "fullness" a combining of what does not appear to be love. It's very confusing in my ability, or inability to reason.

Apparently, God is the Cause of catastrophic events that take away the lives, and/or injure and cause pain and suffering of many, including children. Perhaps it is only some events, not all; yet how can I tell which come from God and which from the "devil". Is all sickness from God because He allowed it OR caused it, and is its purpose to teach OR to punish? Is punishment correction. Is this a part of the Agathos of God. I can comprehend our God given free will by His allowing us to choose what is harmful to us; it seems we do this quite well ourselves without needing any additional cause.

Can fear be an ally with love, when we are aware Scripture says that perfect Love casts out fear? Is wrath synonymous with love or with hate, or both? How can one be certain Who and What our Heavenly Father Is? If God is the Author of fear AND Love, then what purpose does Satan have or even need?

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers here, though I've seen that happening quite often, recently. I am sincerely attempting to understand. Please, for your own sake, not mine, don't condemn others with labeling them as unsaved, or anti-Christ, or heretical, etc., when an individual is earnestly seeking simple truth.

Paul stated that we should not do evil that good may result, and in doing so their condemnation is deserved (personally, I don't adhere to condemnation). Yet I constantly see that true principle completely overlooked AND forgotten in Christian thinking, thus projected onto God that He is capable of doing evil that .......

Bring a solution to this health problem that is effective and restorative. We also pray for Joleen and her family, that their faith in You will increase and grow stronger. We ask that You will call them to Your Word often and build them up through the intake of Your Word. May their mind, soul, and spirit be renewed daily with the power to subdue doubt and the workings of the enemy. We ask that You help them in their faltering and in their distress, Lord God, that they all may build one another up in their faith and that each member of this family submit to Jesus, for His yoke is light. thank you Jesus for carrying all of our burdens, discouragements, weaknesses, and sins to the cross and all that Your sacrifice avails for us. hear Joleen's cry for help, Lord, amen.

Yes Jimbob all the Bible is written for all believers . No matter what time they have lived in or do live in , no matter who the letters are addressed to it makes no difference . All of it is for us and to us and it should all be read as a personal letter to you , to me etc . It's not like reading a novel , it has been preserved for our benefit as individuals . God is all knowing and beyond the constraints of space and time , so is His Word , it is everlasting in its righteousness and wisdom .

Thank you Jesse , I know I often forget that were thousands of people who followed Jesus and heard his words so yes , I think it's very probable that Stephen was in that crowd and Jesus may have know his fate well before his actual stoning . It's logical to think that this phrase was to do with the transfiguration because it comes straight afterwards . I remember also that it was Peter James and John who witnessed the miracle of the twelve year old girl brought back to life by Jesus . It seems these three were in some way special to Jesus and I think it was because they would be leaders after his death . These three would need the strength that witnessing these miracles and visions would give them in the future . They would be persecuted and tortured and would have to be very strong in their faith in order to stand this awful treatment and , in order to convince others of the Truth, they and us , need to be convinced in themselves because this conviction would shine through them and their testimonies and help to convince others . Always enjoy your posts thank you for replying to me .

Dear God the Father in Heaven You who have created all things alive and dead. We pray according to Your will in Jesus Christ's holy name that You look to Your handmaiden. Come with Your revelations, wisdom, and understanding of this situation Jesus Christ. You who overcame death. You who are the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, hear our prayer. Amen

You should be able to distinguish between natural things and spiritual things, if you yourself are cleansed in Jesus Christ's holy blood. And have received the gifts of the Holy Spirit. If it's the case that you haven't made it that far. Don't be offended. It is impossible to know how far each of us has gone with the Lord Jesus. That's how as we move in the spiritual world, there's only one we have to bring, Jesus Christ. And if you don't yet fully understand everything, understand that He will be by your side. Pray that at this moment you may be cleansed from your sin in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen Come Jesus to Lilyan, cleanse the house Thou Lord Jesus Christ, Then everything will be fine. Amen

Whether it's rotten food or rotten spirit: Has anyone in their house been doing occult things? Or believe in rocks and medallions and much more? Or even satanism? Those people must repent NOW. The disease comes in that way. You need to investigate this, Go like a calm dove, and by your cunning, it will reveal itself eventually. Your husband what is he doing? I see he is angry, why? You don't have to elaborate here online. I'm just asking for your part. You have to be a detective now...This can take time, so dont give up. Look at Jesus.

May the Lord of Light Jesus come to you and make peace, bless you and take away this evil that has come in. You have to chase it out into the spiritual world. Have faith in Jesus Christ and fold up your arms. We pray in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, amen. May the Lord of Peace be with you. Love you in Christ. Luke 13 chapter.

Holy God Jesus Christ see to the family.

I have an injury that affects me daily that I ask for healing from.

A close friend who is in constant pain has too many health issues to even name.

I can't comprehend how God can manage all these prayers and requests but just have faith and trust He can.

God help us, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Please pray for a specific health problem for me. The Lord knows what it is, I'm scared and need His help.

Please also pray for my family and I's spiritual life. So often we take Christ for granted, may we be faithful to Him as He is always Faithfully in what He promises.

    Jema,

Thank you so much for sharing this. That is something I had not considered before about what Stephen had seen. That is very interesting. Could this have meant that Stephen was in the crowd of people listening to those words Jesus spoke? It is possible that he could have been there, so what you are saying makes sense. Thank you again, and please know that you've explained it quite well. And also, I think you are amongst many patient and caring believers here, so nothing to be concerned about with that!

    Blessings to you!

GiGi Thank you for your response. I agree with you Paul was warning believers at Corinth to not let their minds be corrupted, but these verses are also prophecy for us today. These verses are all warning us how deception will be in the time we are living now, the Lastdays. All the verses provided in the post are for the Lastdays which is now. ( 2 Cor 11:14) Satan himself will be transformed, (disguised) as an angel of light, that will happen when Satan is cast to the earth in ( Rev 12:7-9) I think this will be the time of great tribulation, the last 3 1/2 year period. ( 2 Cor 11:15) This verse is telling us that his (Satan's ministers) are (disguised as Christian teachers and pastors) they will be disguised as ministers of righteousness. (Obviously this will not be all Christian teachers and pastors, but we should take heed to these warnings of great deception in the time we live in now coming from Christian teachers and pastors) ( 2 Thessalonians 2:3) Starts with "Let no man deceive you" This verse is prophecy for us in the Lastdays its just before the man of sin, the son of perdition is revealed, the antichrist. ( 1 Tim 4:1) Is speaking of the "latter times" that's the Lastdays which says "some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to (seducing spirits and doctrines of devils)". there will be great deception in the Lastdays time period, which is now! ( 2 Tim 4:3-4) Tells us "The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine" (This sound doctrine would be uncorrupted doctrine, which is Truth) Again this would be speaking of the Lastdays. GiGi these are all prophecies for the time we are living now. This is why its so important for us (for everybody) to believe the Word of God as it is written. (We should not add to, nor take away anything from Scripture) And never take any mans word for the truth, unless it is clearly backed by Scripture. Thank you GiGi, God Bless you.
