My dad is no longer talking, and he is extremely weak.

His blood pressure is extremely low, as is his oxygen intake, and I pray to Jesus, St Michael, St Raphael & St Bernadette.

My name is Daniel Mart. My dad, Eric Richard Mart, is not a believer. During the fall of 2021, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Although my dads kidney numbers were found to be perfect (thank the Good Lord), he remains extremely sick, which is very very concerning. When awake, he is like a zombie, and his appetite is still poor. He is extremely extremely weak. Often times, he is confused, and he has trouble communicating.

And he has started to need oxygen.

I am, TBH, quite concerned. He has been taken taken off chemo; as of now, there is nothing to stop the tumor growth.

He is extremely close to passing away.

Lord, you are I truly, truly believe the greatest physician of them all. I command the cancer in my dads body to leave; forbid cancer cells in dads body to multiply, in Jesus name. I command existing cancer cells in his body to die; the spirits of death & fear in him to leave, in Jesus name

I ask that the Lord come with His wonderful healing presence, and complete the healing and work His glory in my dads body, in Jesus name.

I ask that the Holy Spirit come to fill and encourage my dad, and to minister to him, in Jesus name. Please protect him, Lord, and heal him.

I realize that I am not the best Christian; far from it, actually.

My extreme pure OCD - sexual OCD, TBB - and depression - at times quite manic, with bipolar - makes everything so entirely challenging; many a time have I slipped.

The Book of Jasher is an extra biblical book that is not included in the Bible. It is quoted in both Joshua and 2 Samuel. It mostly covers the first five books of the Bible and ends with Joshua's death. the original and authentic Book of Jasher has been lost since ancient times. Yes you are correct The word rapture does not occur in the Bible but The term comes from a Latin word meaning "a carrying off, a transport, or a snatching away." The concept of the "carrying off"the church is clearly taught in Scripture.

God "snatches away" all believers from the earth in order to make way for His righteous judgment to be poured out on the earth during the tribulation period. The rapture is described primarily in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. God will resurrect all believers who have died, give them glorified bodies, and take them from the earth, along with all living believers, who will also be given glorified bodies at that time. "For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever" ( 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

I have been thinking today about our dialog on how we each approach and interpret the Bible. I think I've been clear regarding what I believe to be the Biblical approach and have provide some scriptural basis for that belief. So I won't take time to reiterate that here.

I suspect based on our dialog and other comments you have made that you embrace the Dispensational view of the Bible. If I'm incorrect, the rest of what I say here may not apply.

I read what GIGI posted regarding the various tenants of Dispensationalism and I find most of them at first blush unsupportable from the Bible and contrary what God Himself declares as to how we are to approach the Bible.

The idea that God has written certain parts of the Bible to be applicable for certain segments of mankind and not for others, I believe, has the effect of diminishing the authority of the Bible for Mankind in general, and is a view that I could not hold. The Old Testament is equally important for Jews and Gentiles today just as is the New Testament. And each part of the Bible needs to be applied in interpreting every other part of the Bible with that understanding in view.

I know you are familiar with Rev 22:18,19 where God sets very sever penalties for adding to or taking away from the Bible. And I suspect you would agree that recognizing any extra-Biblical writing or proclamation as the Word of God itself and therefore of equal authority as the Bible would be a violation of Rev 22:18.

However, have you given any thought to how the Dispensational approach to the Bible relates to Rev 22:19. That would be a verse I would seriously consider personally if I were deciding on how to interpret the Bible. And it likely would prevent me from adopting the Dispensational view, if GIGI's research is correct. Food for thought.

I wrote a comment earlier today regarding the Book of Hebrews and would be interested in how you approach that Book and some of the things that you believe it is teaching.

Yes I do, too.

So we should definitely be prayerful asking for stronger faith and the will to stand in the day of trouble. I read a good article from Corrie Ten Boom (from the 70's) about believing that God will help us do this. She was living proof of this as she survived captivity in a concentration camp under Hitler.

She was a believer who hid Jews, was captured along with her sister, and put in the camp.

She recalls the stacks of dead bodies that accumulated daily in the camp. Her sister was one of them. But her faith stood in the time of trouble.

She also spoke of traveling around the world meeting up with Christians in places like China and Africa where thousands and thousands of Christians were routinely martyred by the Chinese government of the time and in African countries. This happened all over the world and still continues.

Those of us in western countries have had it pretty good in comparison. But the time may come that we, too, may be the ones martyred or held in captivity. We should be preparing ourselves for such a time, memorizing the Scriptures because we may no longer have our Bibles with us, being faithful in prayer, and be aware of what is happening in world events.

It is not pleasant to think about these things and the temptation to desire an easy way out (such as the pre-trib rapture) can therefore be persuasive. But Scripture refutes this theory, and therefore it is false and dangerous.

Agreed, those who participate in church assemblies are not all at the same place in their walk with the Lord. Some are truly of the faith. Some are mature believers. Others are quite newly reborn. Some are searching. Others on the verge of being saved. Others may be in an assembly all of their lives and appear to be saved but never are.

We should be prayerful of the assembly God has placed us in, praying for those we know there, those that are new to the fellowship, those we know are caught up in sinful ways, and for our pastor and leaders.

Only God truly knows the heart and future of each person who comes into a fellowship. We should be welcoming and genuinely care about those God brings into our sphere of friends. We also need to be available to make new friends and serve God by being a godly guide to those God adds to our sphere.

There will also be those who do not fellowship in a church setting, as David seems to be. And we should love them and extend fellowship to them, too, as we do on here.

The true church of God is, as you say, and invisible congregation that God knows and has elected. We should be thankful that He determines who will be called and elected, not us. We would fail so miserably in our present sinful condition despite being saved and indwelt.

I know many in church fellowships that are sincere believers who serve the Lord obediently in these fellowships. I know pastors that administer their office faithfully. So we cannot put everyone in churches nor every fellowship in the same basket of reprobates as David has done. Jesus said He will build His church. Paul and the apostles established church fellowships in the cities they preached according to the lead of the Holy Spirit. I believe that this is the primary way Jesus build his church.

There may be a time when the apostasy is so great that true believers may need to "come out" of the congregations. But I don't think this is necessarily the time of that.

Asking for strong protection, for the Lord to fight our battles, for peace and help with all the stress and for Him to deliver us from bondage, save those of us who are not yet saved (majority in the family) and heal soul and heart wounds (some from childhood trauma). Please pray He would stop abuse and confront those who are walking in ungodly ways. Also for a better job. Please also pray that our church would become a praying church and evangelize. We are in an area where there is a lot of spiritual darkness. I ask all these things also for all others in need. Thank you for praying.

Dear Rick, I have often wondered the same thing. Aaron was chosen by God to be the High Priest for the Israelites. He failed in making the golden calf. But we are not told why God did not take Aaron's life along with the others. But it may be that He was especially chosen to lead with Moses that his life was spared. Aaron's grave sin was not going to prevail over God's purpose for him in that time in the wilderness.

Hi Whisper, actually the Lord gave me the word "night" yesterday and I believe it was about you. I want you to know the Lord is with you, and what I do is pray and read the Bible for a few hours when things like this happen to me. Read 30 chapters of Psalms, that helps too. Consider that the KJV uses the word sleep for being dead awaiting Christ's return.

The Bible talks about a "day" of judgment, rather than people being judged sporadically.

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world." 1 John 4:17 KJV

And it says no one escapes judgment- people often think they skip this for some reason despite what the Bible says:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV

So, when these verses are put together it seems like all will be judged on the same day (also consistent with the vision in Revelation) and that people won't go to heaven until they're first judged, and it then makes sense where it says the dead will rise to meet Jesus in the air. So, to me it all seems logical, what happens. Despite all this evidence in God's word, many people still prefer to believe something else that makes them feel good, however.

Yes i have a comment about the restrainer the Tare, Satan's seed that wants to restrain the H.G. the wheat a baby Christ from bringing in the Kingdom....That was the very purpose of sowing the good seed in mans hearts that the Kingdom wd be born in us....The H.G. Rev.22:11 Tells us about the 2 seeds as the Tares and the wheat....One is always filthy and evil but 1 is always holy and righteous.....And this war is raging within us....Thats y Paul was saying when i wd do good evil is present with me....With my mind i serve the law of God but with my flesh the TARE ( his thorn in the flesh ) I SERVE THE LAW OF SIN....Thats y God cd not remove it....Thus we must endure to the end....When the Tares are gathered and burned....Then the wheat the Children of the Kingdom will reign with Christ.
