Chris, hello again.

I believe that there will be Christians in the world up until Jesus returns after the Tribulation to gather ALL believers from all time. Therefore, the church will continue on the earth until that return.

That said, I have read on several sites where the Greek for the phrase "Until he is taken out of the way" actually should read. "until he rises from the amidst" (or something close to that.

Perhaps you can also check this out to see if this is a correct Greek translation. I do not know Greek, so I am just going on what several sites have presented. If this is so, then this would completely change the meaning of who the "he" is, which would indicate that the he is actually the Anti-Christ.

How interesting is that. God is certainly restraining until the Anti-Christ arises in God's timing. But if the actual Greek word for word meaning is as I have stated then that is a game changer

I agree that it is God who has prevented this world from becoming totally wicked. Before the flood, it seemed to be so, but there were 8 who were not. And even perhaps Noah's immediate predecessors were not totally gone over to the enemy, but not as God-oriented as Noah.

So, I do believe that is God who has restrained sin and the evil one for all of history, ensuring that there is always a witness in humanity. This does not mean that a very powerful being like Michael hasn't been purposed by God to restrain Satan for all of this time or even for the times from the church to the time the restrainer releases the one who will bring forth the Anti-Christ.

Eschatology is not a favorite topic of faith that I enjoy discussing too much. It usually leads to divisions. I only chime in because it seems that the majority of people who post are of the pre-tib rapture camp and I just wanted to support Jimbob and David since I share much of their views.

I also wish to present a viewpoint that has been the majority viewpoint in the church through the centuries. Not that that proves anything. But it is worth considering. My understanding that prior to the 1800's the pre-tribulation rapture is not held by the overwhelming majority of Christian scholars, perhaps 99.9999% believe that Jesus returns after the Tribulation, even historic premillennials.

So, when considering viewpoints that are interpretations of Scripture that is not explicitly spoken of in Scripture (which pre-trib rapture is one of those viewpoints) I think it is wise to also look at what is explicitly spoken of in Scripture (which post-trib-only return of Christ is a viewpoint that is).

With a view towards Christian history, those who believe a pre-trib rapture are a very minute percentage of Christians since Jesus was here on earth. As one who investigates things that are said both now and across the centuries and especially in the Scriptures, I am always skeptical of any ideas that is "new".

Peter, you are so correct, Jesus was and is amazing. And He became man in order to step into our shoes and die for us in the only way that our sins can be forgiven for all eternity. Praise the Lord, He is good.

In Matthew 24 Jesus was speaking of a future Tribulation, not equating his three days from death to resurrection as this Tribulation prophesied.

yes he did. I think that Chris gave the Scripture reference. Some say these may have been children of Joseph from a prior marriage. Therefore they would be older than Jesus. Others, like myself, believe that Mary and Joseph had these children together.

We just will never really know until we get to heaven.

Lord, place Your healing touch upon him and take away his pain. We ask that doctors are able to bring to him the best treatment for this after an accurate diagnosis. We leave this man in Your loving hands and know that You will help him. Amen.

Dear Big Brown Ocelot again, I was just to the orthopedist yesterday to diagnose why both of my shoulders are hurting and grinding. His first statement was for shoulder replacement surgery! Then he showed and explained my x-rays. Both shoulders have had the cartilage between the ball of the humorous and the socket joint worn away with little space left. Most of the area is bone on bone. He then suggested we could try steroid injections for a while but the surgery will need to be done at some time since it is degenerative and eventually will greatly restrict range of motion in both shoulders. I was so surprised as my pain is not that bad. I knew I had osteoarthritis and some bone spurs, but not the extensive damage he showed me. One shoulder seems to have rotator cuff damage, too.

So, I will need to decide how soon I will be up for surgery, maybe this fall after a few rounds of steroid shots. But I know the sooner the better since this involves general anesthesia and the younger I am the better. Please pray for me, too.

Please pray that my partner Jamie, of 14 years, comes back home to me and our children. Please pray this other woman (Dee) from his work, he is seeing is removed from his life and finds her best as he is not her best and she is not his best. We are his best. Remove that seductive spirit in Jesus name. Pray she is transferred to a different fire station in a different city. God meant for families to stay together, the devil wants to destroy them but I won't allow this for my family.

Please pray that every time he goes to see her or when he is about to sin, that God stands in his way. Please pray he quits smoking. Pray he finds Jesus, salvation,

forgiveness and repents for hurting his family. Please pray for restoration, peace and healing in my family. Pray my son's renew their faith again and their hearts heal. Pray Jamie steps up to be the father they deserve.

Please pray that Jamie sees me with renewed eyes from now on and finds love for me again. I am struggling with this battle as it seems to be getting worse, pray my faith stays steadfast

John 8:36 assures us that with the Son we are "free indeed". Freedom; in short is opposite of what the world follows as we are slaves or bondservants of Christ ( 1 Cor. 4; 7). To follow the prince of this world and all its temporary pleasures is, in reality; a dead end whereas His riches in glory for those who love Him are eternal for those saints which are already seated with Him in "heavenly places." ( Eph. 2:6).

When seeking His will and petitioning prayers; it is His Covenant promises which we can tenaciously proclaim as it is His binding contract with His people that He has made with His good pleasure. This is certainly different than just seeking those things that seem most convenient to make us more comfortable in this life. It truly is best when His life is the guide to our lives and He can be the "captain" of our salvation ( Hebrews 2:10). It is this or being shipwrecked; as it were which is a warning for those who fall away ( 1 Timothy 1:9 as a general admonition along with specific individuals in other Pauline writings).

It is helpful, therefore to have brothers more mature in the faith as "iron sharpens iron." ( Proverbs 27:17). We should also have our individual walk grow to maturity with our quiet times; prayer life and devotionals. John 6:45 shows that we shall all be taught of God; so we should learn to discern His voice from the cacaphony that rings in our ears.

As adopted sons of God ( Gal. 4:5) we are granted therefore all the blessings and substance of the inheritance. The eternal riches in Glory certainly outweigh any earthly pleasures ( 2 Cor. 4:17). We should strive therefore to remain steadfast and remain in His will. The flesh is dying daily in terms of the outward man (see previous verse 16) but the inward man is being conformed to His image. (see Romans 12:2). To deny ungodliness is true freedom ( Titus 2:12) despite our natural affections that seem to indicate the contrary.

All through the Prophets they speak of A DAY when great tribulation shall be poured on MAN, the very wrath of God.

The Prophets speak of this MAN; a substitute sent by God to have God's wrath pour out on ALL MANKIND, even those not yet born.

Jesus is prophesying of ALL THE PROPHECIES in the scriptures, that great tribulation, all the earth in birth pains.

Matthew 24:22 ...except those days should be shortened, there should no FLESH BE SAVED ....

You WERE SAVED by Christ death and resurrection, the DAYS OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION were SHORTENED, to THREE DAYS.......

Matthew 24:29 IMMEDIATELY after those days; from the time Christ left the supper table, the wrath of God was poured out on ALL MANKIND, yet only ONE MAN took it upon himself to be the SACRIFICE of that GREAT TRIBULATION.

Immediately after the TRIBULATION of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon (symbolic of Christ death) shall not give her light, and the stars stars shall FALL FROM HEAVEN .....

Dear One Eighty, That is the reason I included him in my post because his prophecies led many to make foolish decisions based on faulty prophecy. He is not alone in this. There are many others who have made incorrect prophecies about when Jesus will return. Jesus warned the disciples about this in several of the gospels when speaking of his return, "that many will come in His name saying, here he is" or other ideas about Him coming at a certain time in a certain place.

Please pray for my husband Ryan he is overseas in the military defending our country he is in constant jeopardy of being hurt. Please pray that God will continue to protect him and keep him safe always until he can come home soon. We love him so much and want and need him back with us. I thank God for His blessings, love and guidance we need Him always and forever praise God for His perfect timing and will to be done. Thank you for replying to me . I've been enjoying reading your posts for a long time . I pray every day for the return of Christ and for peace and safely for all . I think the best thing any of us can do for each other and any one else we come into contact with , is to try to show the love of God , through Christ in us . Prayer , faith and love . These three must be ingrained in us all so we can be at peace within ourselves and each other . I hope and pray that Jesus comes back soon so that all flesh will finally understand and appreciate the love that is always around them / us / you and me . Love in Christ dear sister .

Thank you for this information on the "last days." I agree with you that " Acts 2:17,18 is very applicable to the 'last days'."

There are two what are called "platform phrases" on which this message is built on. In Verse 17, it says "And it shall come to pass." In the Greek text it says "And it will be." And in Verse 21, it says "And it shall come to pass," and it's literally "And it will be!" Those would be the two platform verses!



So Verse 17 says and it will be in the last days. Now in Joel's prophecy ( Joel 2:28, 29), it just says afterward. Peter changed it to last days. What he is saying is that in Joel's prophecy, when he said after the judgments here, there will be another judgment day.



He meant now. So my understanding is that the theological or biblical definition of the "last days" begins here in Acts Chapter 2. From Acts Chapter 2 on, we've been in the last days for some 2,000 years.



In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit. Twice now, he's going to say this. I'm going to pour out of my Spirit on all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And then he says even on my servants and on my handmaidens, slaves, both male and female, I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: That is, speak the word of God!

I had almost forgotten about Harold Camping. Listening to him on the radio I remember though, how convinced he was according to his calculations he concocted from the bible. He had a rather rudeness when someone disagreed and challenged him, and would consistently cut them off, responding with an, "EXCUSE ME!", then continue with his rambling ,and then disconnect the caller so that they couldn't finish what they had to say.

He actually spent quite a lot of money on billboards along the main S.F Bay Area highways, proclaiming the "end". The sad part, though, is that some very gullible, afraid followers made prior arrangements by ridding themselves of all their belongings, as they were convinced he was telling the truth. I now wonder how this may have affected these people in a negative way in regards to their relationship with God.

John 5 :39...Jesus said to Search the scriptures in them you think you have eternal life but it is them that testify of me....Who testifies of Jesus ?...The living word the H.G....The anointing....The gift of God....David....it was the living word Christ Jesus that had to die to initiate a New Covenant in his blood....At Calvary....Not paper and ink....David WAKE UP ...God is much more then paper and ink..And God is gonna pour out of his spirit on all flesh...like it or not... It is so great to join and pray for all people, it gives life and vitality in a dark time where we see that our loved ones feel so good about themselves that they do not see/that they need God in their lives. But there will be days when they too will fall to their knees. The day when God calls them for that He has promised. Acts 16:31

Imagine there, the whole family was saved at once, received the baptism in the Holy Spirit too! God is good to the faithful who believe. Never lose heart and stand against such thought. Every man has received a gift. Love u in Christ. Thank, Hallelujah for the Lord knows and take his people home.

The good gifts are described by Paul in 1 Corinthians 13.

And if you are one of those who are to be taught in and know the spirits, then you must always expect that there will be resistance to this. The more you confess this gift, the more you will be tested. Therefore, you have received a gift or suspect that you have received a gift. We must tread very carefully. Someone will steal it. Then in the form of a trial that only Jesus can help with. This is not like a school year, but over several years on the road with the Lord, everything will be tested. No wise wife or husband can know fully what it is that you yourself are experiencing. Not me eghter.

I remember we have prayed for you before. Rest in peace dear friend. Be sure that Jesus does what He must in u. Do not think the thought that this is witchcraft? Where does it come from?

Our enemy, he never gives up to try and destroy God's people completely. It is Jesus Christ you must call upon when you encounter opposition. Stick to it and you'll be fine. Stand strong in God's Word and never lose heart. Guard your heart above all else. Uncertainty, misunderstandings, doubts, etc. All this can also mean that you are being tested in your faith. The next time such doubts and uneasiness come over you, run to yourself and fall on your knees before our Almighty Lord Jesus Christ will always be by your side. With Him comes light and love. Only God's chosen ones manage to be there. Everything else flies in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, by the Kingdom of the Holy Spirit, according to the will of God the Father, Amen Stay strong in the word of God. Love u in Christ. This is not only one time trial, it can go on for years. So stay stron and be glad Jesus will do His will in u in the end. Thank you Jesus Christ for He is good and always will be.
