In the holy name of Jesus Christ we can and do have authority in the spirit world. Dear GiGi and husband you know Jeff. He is now not quite awake, perhaps not quite asleep either. You can take authority in God's name and ask God for mercy. Enter the sick room with hymns and praise, read the Bible. Go in peace and preach the gospel of Jesus. Acts 16:31 All ppl know Jesus they just need a reminder to go over to Him who is truly Good. Give God all the glory and always pray that His will must be done on Earth, and also in the Heavenly world which we do not see. Amen

Philippians 2:5-11 read the rest also. Stay strong in the word og God and be blessed in Jesus Holy name, love u all in Christ.

Hi Marty. This Hebrews 12:14 verse is written to Christians (of mainly Jewish origin), to pursue not only peace with all men (not just Christians), and lest they think that a peaceable state of living is sufficient to gain God's pleasure in them, the writer says, "and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord".

So how to explain this to an unbeliever? An unbeliever may have some opinions, but usually 'holiness' is beyond their understanding. When sharing the Gospel with him, the whole focus must be on our sinfulness, our wretched hell-bound state before God & nothing we can ever do could make that great payment that would absolve us from all guilt & judgement. I'm sure you have shared the Gospel in this way, with supporting Scriptures, but he may ask, 'what then - what comes after I confess my sin & sinful state & receive God's forgiveness based on His Son's paying the price I couldn't pay?'

The next step for a new believer is to be baptized: a public testimony to both himself before God & to others that he has left his old sinful life & choosing to be bound to Jesus Christ through His death & resurrection, identifying only to him. He is then taught more & more from the Word, especially focussing on the Gift of the Holy Spirit which is given to all who are joined to Christ, sealing them as God's precious children. The Holy Spirit is not an inactive force or a feeling a believer must have, but He is the very presence of God within him that will accomplish all of God's Will in him & through him. And one of the very first things that will be preeminent in the heart & life of this believer, is the Holy Spirit's moving in Him to be Christ-like; i.e. dealing with sin, yearning God-wards, new hopes, new driven life - all demonstrating the sanctifying Work of the Spirit. 'Holiness' then, is the 'sanctified life': the separated life (accomplished by God & pursued by the believer). If he has no desire to pursue it, his salvation is spurious & eternal life absent.

Brother Jesse. I have deleted posts before. You need to go back to your account page & then to your discussion history. At the header of the post you want to delete, there's an 'x'. If you press that, it will be deleted. I don't know how long the post can be visible before the delete option will work.

And it would be good to have a PM (personal message) function as well, as some other Sites have.

    Using the angels:

When we were resurrected with Christ, Christ is LIFE ( John 14:6), we became the BODY of Christ, each person is the church, the seven churches in Revelation is symbolic of MAN.

John 1:51 ....Hereafter, (when Christ was resurrected and became the life IN YOU, his Body) ye shall see heaven open, and the angels (ministering spirits) of God ascending and descending upon the son of man ---- Christ and YOU his BODY, HIS CHURCH .......

Psalms 91:12 They (the angels) shall bear thee up (Christ and YOU his body), lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

    God Bless YOU!

There's no problem with those verses, Julia. In verse 26, it is recorded as God speaking, "Let us make man in our image...". And in the following verse, the Genesis account writer says, "So God created man in his own image..", i.e. God created man in God's Image - not man's image. And the rest of verse 27 supports that, with, "...in the image of God created he (God) him (man). I know that can be a little confusing.

Seek FIRST the Mercy Seat. Christ is our Mercy Seat in heaven, where Christ's Blood has been applied for sinners on the gold lid of the true Ark of the Covenant, in the True Tabernacle in heaven. Seek FIRST His Mercy Seat.

John 14:6 . There is only one way to God , the unbeliever must come to the Truth and come to it through Christ . Christ is our righteousness , Revelation 3:20 . There is no other way .

Dear Donna, Please know that I keep praying for Daniel. We Mom's need to persist in prayer as Jesus illustrated in the parable of the persistent widow and the judge. God is so much better than any human judge. He is faithful to hear our prayers . He is teaching us something through our persistence. But it is painful to watch our loved ones continue in rejection of Him, or sinful ways, or harmful habits, an enslavement to forces stronger than we can be, such as drugs and alcohol. But we can believe that God is our faithful Father and that He is always at work to answer our prayers in the best way.

I will be praying for Daniel and others here who are struggling so much and resisting God so much.

Also, I was just thinking about you since you have not posted for a while. Good to hear from you.

Hello Jesse, I have been thinking about that sort of messaging capability for this site so that people can communicate a private message. Perhaps the admin will develop this for this forum. Many times I have wanted to do this, but there isn't such a device yet for this site. Not everything we wish to say should be in an open forum like this, as some things are best lfet to private conversation or just not said publicly.

So, good minds think alike, Jesse!

    Hello Gmmoore,

Necromancer is a sorcerer who uses divination to conjure up communications with dead people. The goal is to use occult magic to summon the spirits of those in the world of the dead to interact or to gain information about the spirit world, the future, or occultic magic and power.

Romans 3 is a key chapter in the New Testament. We all come to God on an equal basis- SINNERS in need of His Salvation. God has set forth Christ as our MERCY SEAT, we come to God by Faith in Christ and His BLOOD shed for SIN.

The spelling of Esaias that you see in Matthew 3:3, as well as other places in the New Testament (such as Matthew 4:14, John 12:38, Romans 9:27, etc.), is because the KJV translators preferred to record Isaiah's name as it's written in Greek (since the NT was written in that language). Whereas in the Old Testament, Isaiah is written as shown, the equivalent of the Hebrew, Ysha'yah (pr. yeh-shaw-yah), which means 'God (Yahweh) is salvation'.

    Marty Whitton:

Christ died for all men, while they were yet in their sins.

ALL MEN died on the cross with Christ, because Christ DIED for ALL MEN.

Christ was RAISED back to LIFE by the spirit of our Father; therefore ALL MEN were raised back to Life, because Christ was raised back TO LIFE.

All men now have the LIFE of the Father, the SPIRIT being the LIFE, instead of blood being the LIFE.

God is HOLY, therefore ALL MEN are HOLY, because the LIFE in them is HOLY.

Christ has done the WORK, the problem is man want believe, THAT WORK: they want to ADD to that WORK by saying it up to man to accept that work or reject that work.

Does man's rejection nullify the WORK, most will say YES, but how can it be nullified when IT'S ALREADY DONE?

Since Christ IS IMMORTAL LIFE, and Christ is the LIFE IN YOU, man has eternal LIFE.

    God Bless YOU!

Thanks David0920, I agree with what you've written - none can deny it - it is there in Scripture. But was wondering, as from your original statement, "Because of some of the comments I see here, I feel compelled to again state what the Bible declares regarding how we are to view and interpret the Bible."

From that I wasn't able to discern (by your quoting from Matthew chapter 13), whether your compulsion to bring up your concern was because of some who believe that the whole Bible has to be read as a parable (i.e. historical events that bring out another (deeper) spiritual meaning), or you were refuting such an interpretation. For me, when a parable is clearly given (as Jesus gave to the multitudes), it is a story with familiar events but those events & people represent a spiritual Truth of the Kingdom of God. Yet, some view not only Jesus' parables as such but the whole Bible being a parable, maybe taking an event as Noah planting a vineyard ( Genesis 9:20), that this act would have a deeper meaning, using some NT references such as Matthew chapters 20 & 21 to support their belief, which is incredible to my reading & understanding.

If you could clarify your position on this, I (& maybe others) would know the reason for your presentation, as your statement, "God did not write the Bible so that it is easy to come to truth", was puzzling. Thank you.

A Question... His word says without Holiness, we cannot see the Lord

All men have sinned and come short of the glory of God. None doeth good, no not one. How, then, can I explain to an unbelieving lost soul how to attain Holiness in a way that can fully assure the gift of eternal life will be theirs.?

These scriptures, I believe are prophecing about the millennial reign as it speaks of people from " all nations " going up to the holy hill & Christ will teach the people His ways. People will war no more.

You read where God will Judge all nations towards the end.

It's my understanding the new Jerusalem rests on this holy hill as well. Not 100% on that but pretty sure as Christ is ruling from his Holy temple.

Joleen, I agree with what you are asking from the Lord. We all need to seek the giver more and more. He blesses us in so many ways. We are undeserving of His blessings, but He gives them anyway because He is merciful and gracious.

Dear Lord Jesus, Joleen and myself and others on here desire to draw nearer to You, to live more for You and less for ourselves, to put You first and the fulfillment of Your kingdom before the earthly things we enjoy. Jesus, we need You more than we can know, help us to totally rely on You and Your goodness, faithfulness, and power to accomplish more than what we could every ask or think in our lives. We are your servants, Lord, so help us to serve You in gladness and sincerity. Amen.
