Dear S. spencer, I will certainly pray for your brother, you and your family. Thanks for letting us know so we can join you in bearing this together. We are a family and when one part suffers, the other parts suffer, too. We lighten one another's burdens when we join together to pray, comfort, and love one another.

How do we know we are worshipping the true Jesus?
  • JOSHUA288 - 1 year ago
if paul says the letters kill but the spirit gives life, why are we still reading the scriptures? You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.

Can somebody help me understand this passage? How will he know me

Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?'

23 Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'

Can someone please tell me, when did the New Testament begin?
  • JOSHUA288 - In Reply - 1 year ago
No, this is not me. I'm sorry if someone is trying to push their opinions on the discussion. I'm here to ask genuine questions and learn more about the topic. Could you help me understand the question?

    Giannis,

Thank you for sharing this piece of scripture. I am so thankful that the writer stuck Verse 39 in there. If it were to end at Verse 38, one might conclude that a justified person, a righteous person, one who lives from out of faith as a source, could one day draw back unto perdition.

I'm sorry. The verses I was referring to about James were in Acts chapter 12 verses 2 and 17. Are they the same individual?

When Jesus ascended up, he left neither the Bible nor the Holy Spirit. But He did send His Spirit afterwards, as He promised.

Robert Henry, 2 Tim.3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. 2 Pet.1:20-21 even tell us the prophecy of the scripture came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Modern version bibles are not inspired by God, only the true scripture, the KJB is God breathed. But sadly you are right, there are many who don't understand, or believe that today. The Words of the LORD are pure Words!

    Dear S Spencer,

As a child of God your brother is in the hand and will of our Father. May God comfort you and your family during this time.

    God bless,

    Hebrew 10:36-39

"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul."

Let's never think of going back to our previous life. Let's keep walking on the narrow road at the end of which the crown of glory awaits for us.

Alex1939 We have to have the True Words of God today or you wouldn't even know that Jesus died on a cross for the sins of the world. I didn't say words save anybody anywhere in my comments. But the Words of the LORD are pure Words that are the only Truth we have, our instructions from God in this evil world today. We have Gods Words and we have mans corrupt words. Did you know that the Words that Jesus spoke will judge the dead at the great white throne judgment? Jn.12:46-48, 46. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47. And if any man hear ((my words)), and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48. He that rejecteth me, and ((receiveth not my words)), hath one that judgeth him: ((the word that I have spoken)), the same shall judge him in the last day. Now we look at Rev.20:11-12, 11. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and ((the books)) were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Those books that are opened to judge the dead in the last day are ((the Words of Jesus Christ)), Jn.12:48 tell us this is true. Jer.23:36 tells us that (perverting) the words of the living God, is changing His Word! All modern versions change His Words, and All modern versions are corrupt. those corrupt books will not be the books that judge the dead at the great white throne judgement! The 66 books in the KJB are the books, (the Words of Jesus Christ) that will be opened to judge them in the last day. Mt.24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.) Jn.1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  • Dgjot on Ezekiel 13 - 1 year ago
I know Ezekiel 13 is talking about how much God hates false prophets. But it also shows the insanity of punishing the innocent and coddling the wicked.

19 "And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?"

Specifically where it says- ".....to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live....."

My first thought was about our court system that coddles rapists and murderers and there's no justice for the victims of these crimes, and panders to irresponsible women who use abortions as birth control.

Who wrote Ecclesiastes??? Solomon??? Even he saw the stupidity of letting the wicked go free.

    Ecclesiastes 8:11

"Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil."

    1 Timothy 1:

    8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

    10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

I'm in favor of the death penalty for the worst offenders: murderers and rapists (of men, women, boys, girls, babies and animals. Fornication outside of marriage is a horrible sin.)

    What do you think?

Chris the (prophecy) of the scripture is not of any private interpretation. What is the (prophecy)? Rev.1:1-3, 1. The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2. Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. (This verse says "Who bear ((record)) of the (word of God), and of the ((testimony)) of Jesus Christ") 3.Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the (words of this prophecy), and keep those things (which are written therein): for the time is at hand. Rev.22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that (keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book). Blessed are they who keep the sayings of THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK! What book? We do have that book today if we believe Gods Word is True, I believe the KJB is the ONLY True Word of God for this final generation. What does God say about adding to, or taking away from His Words, from His prophecy? Rev.22:18-19, 18. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. 19. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (The PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK!) Now how did we get the prophecy of this book? 2 Pet.1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. This prophecy that came in old time, came in 1611, its this book we have called the King James Bible.. It is the record of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, as we are told in Rev.1:1-3. All modern version Bibles add unto and take away from the Words of the living God.

@GiGi: I'm ok. Thanks for asking. How are you?
  • Jimbob - In Reply - 1 year ago
Chris thank you again for your reply. Do you believe that God preserved His Word for ever? Ps.12:6-7 Is His promise to do just that. The word pure in v.6 means unadulterated, uncontaminated, sound, clean. The subject is the (words) of the LORD. If something is contaminated is it pure? If something is adulterated is it clean? If you (change) was is pure, then it becomes contaminated, thats what Jer.23:36 tells us false prophets and pastors do to the (words of the living God). Mt.4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by (every word) that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Deut.8:3 ..., that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by (every word) that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD is pure, not to be contaminated or changed, remember Ps.12:6-7 is Gods promise to preserve His words for ever. 1 Pet.1:25 But the word of the Lord (endureth for ever). And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. We are told in 2 Tim.4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine: but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. The word doctrine means instruction, (the function or the information) learning, teaching. Our doctrine is whatever Bible we learn or teach from, it is the instructions given to us by the LORD Himself. His promise to preserve His Words for ever! Modern versions are corrupt. Heres an example (KJB) Ps.10:4-5 v4 is speaking of The wicked. v.5 says His ways are always (grievous) now the same verses in the Niv v.5 says His ways are always (prosperous) The niv is not sound doctrine! Heres one more. (KJB) Eccl.8:10 I saw the wicked buried, and they were (forgotten) Niv Eccl.8:10 I saw the wicked buried, they receive (praise) The Niv is perverted!
