If Cain's descendents died in the flood, why are the Kenites talked about after the flood? Numbers 24:21-22 further showing that Kenites came from Cain and survived the flood.
The sons of Anak the Anakin also survived the flood. They were the giants in Genesis 6:4 & Numbers 13:33.
It is written that Noah brought on the ark two of ALL unclean flesh and seven pairs of clean flesh. Then he was to bring the animals, birds and insects.
The animals are mentioned AFTER all flesh.
Why do they the Kenites walk the earth now? They claim to be Jews but are not. Name stealers.
I do not remember reading anywhere that Satan murdered anyone but Cain murdered his brother Abel.and was said to be the first murderer. So if he was not talking about Cain the first murderer who is he talking about?
The 1611 KJB included these apocryphal books as an addition to the Bible, but these books received very limited inclusion into other Bibles. Most of our Bibles today don't include it, though the Roman Catholic Edition & some Orthodox Bibles have them or some of them. Neither the Jews, nor Jesus & the Apostles accepted or referred to these 'other' books, so one needs to read them with discernment.
Thanks
George
So what happened? What was once delivered & correct, came into other hands to translate into their respective languages, using whatever copies of writings/manuscripts that they deemed worthy (usually the oldest ones were preferred, which were not necessarily the best for accuracy). Is this then still God's Word (KJV, NIV, other English translations, plus the Bible translated into & available in other languages)?
Though the KJV is the more preferred (by some anyway) for its accuracy & reliability from the Textus Receptus MS, it is still known for some 'errors' however minor (copyist or printer), just as any other version. Does this make the KJV flawed, unreliable & equal to the other versions? No. I believe that the KJV is still superior to the others by its faithfulness to the original (reliable) texts & God has blessed this work of translation that has come to us. Can no other translation be used of God & be effective in soul-winning & Bible teaching? God can use His Word in spite of human weakness or even human wilfulness in translating it, to draw men to Him.
For this at least, we should be content that the Word can be read by so many in the World & the Holy Spirit is still working before people & in people, that takes the sinner or saint into those deeper Truths where translators may have fallen short. God will not miraculously remove all other versions of the Bible in existence, nor expect us to attempt to do so, but He can still use the Word that's in our hands to direct our hearts. The Lord knows our weaknesses & how men have treated His Word, but He promises to continue to use His Word, sending it out & accomplishing all that He wills ( Isaiah 55:11).
To share my thoughts on your comment, Jimbob. 2 Peter 1:20,21: in this final letter before his decease, the Apostle Peter is essentially warning believers of what was taking place then & what was to come as far as false teaching was concerned. In this first chapter, Peter cites the Word of God given to His prophets to proclaim to His people. They were not "cunningly devised fables" as others did, constructing their own devilish message by perverting God's Word. But Peter spoke as one being an unquestionable witness to the Lord Jesus, to God's Presence on the Mount & to His Word there ("this is My beloved Son") & to the death & resurrection of Jesus and to His Promise of returning again. So it is a "more sure word of prophecy": prophecy of Jesus in the OT fulfilled, & of His second Coming that will be fulfilled.
As the OT prophets of God spoke God's Word directly, receiving it from the Mouth of God (as opposed to the false prophets of that day; as you rightly quoted Jeremiah chapter 23), Peter confirms that the (true) prophets' word was without the involvement of their Will & perceptions, but came as the Holy Spirit moved in them to hear & record it. So, we know that the LORD from Heaven, His Holy Spirit, & the prophets who doubtless trembled as the Word came to them (as intimated in Jeremiah 5:22 & Ezra 10:3), delivered God's Word accurately & in its entirety.
Then we have the recorders, whether of Moses, David, Solomon & the prophets to write down the message as they were moved by the Spirit to write. Those writings/prophecies had to be meticulously guarded & correctly uttered. As copies were made over the centuries, accuracy was important & was retained. Even as Jesus read from Isaiah 61:1,2 (in Luke 4:17-19), He confirmed the accuracy & currency of the Torah ( Luke 4:21) by calling it "Scripture". So we know that till then, the Word of God was correct in its entirety.
I agree with you that many are deceived, both inside and outside of the church. But God know who are His and will bring the elect to salvation, even from very surprising circumstances and cultures. We can continue to pray for those we know who are without Christ and also hope to speak the "words of life" o the Gospel of Jesus to them, often we hope.
It is good to have you posting here again. I pray that you are uplifted in your spirit and enjoying peaceful, joyful fellowship in the Lord.
But honesty is better and those who post under "false pretense" should be avoided since they cannot be truthful with us on here who are serious about integrity and the spiritual health of those on this site.
Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he:
This was before Jesus was crucified, and God raised Him from the dead, and He ascended into heaven, and the Holy Spirit came down to earth to dwell among us.
Jews and Mozlems to this day, deny that Jesus is the Son of God, and reject Him and Salvation through Him.
You can't reason with Jesus deniers. They have been deceived. Their minds are closed. All you can do is pray for those people.
I'm sorry but I have no interest in reading that,
We have said our peace, between you and I some time ago.
We have nothing in common in our theology and you know this.
We will have to just agree to disagree.
Thanks.
While Adam & Eve were pure & innocent, I believe that they could have eaten the fruit of any of the trees ( Genesis 2:16,17), except the Tree of Knowledge of Good & Evil. But once they sinned by disobedience to God, the eternal life that they had would have been taken away and left them in a state of eternal death & separation from their Maker.
we must trust & know 100%
that we are saved by our savior,
the sacrificial lamb
{{{the perfect sacrifice}}} and thru him only.
noone else could have saved us but him.
we must know we cannot get to heaven by our works,
but,
at the same time we are to be the salt & the light to the non believers in the world around us,.
i feel that ther is a thin line between
works vs. living by our father in heavens
commandments out of true love & respect. like someone commented,
the holy spirit changes us,
its being delivered from our former worldly selfish & materialistic life, to our new life,
not of the world. its definitely a spiritual transformation once we truly surrender fully, this is wen we start our walk with our savior.
and its a true desire to express our love & 100% faith in the holy trinity.
by us surrendering ourselves and wanting to serve him in any way that we can.
we that love the holy trinity with all our heart, mind, body, spirit & soul long for the moment we can be with god, as
we seek his face daily!!!!
lol.
and i know that i and probably all of u will
not even be able to look upon the father & son wen the time comes!
we will be laying down in the dirt
while crying our eyes out &
surely we will be unable to speak,
compared to them we are filthy as the dirt we will
lay & cry in.
The Word of God teaches us in 1 Cor. 2:14 that the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned.
This is why those communicating their messages in this 'forum' so often use the word 'discerning' while the 'Word of God' is not of any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20). This is why it also teaches; that anyone that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man ( 1 Cor. 2:15).
Furthermore, the Spirit of truth cannot be received by this world ( John 14:17) as this whole world has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9).
May we suggest you search the words 'a world deceived' an learn how you may know the difference between the 'natural' and the 'spiritual' body ( 1 Cor. 15:44).
Seek, and ye shall find ( Matthew 7:7).
Please remember, the above words are not our words but from the 'Word of God' and they are according to the 'Spirit of Truth' ( John 14:17).
It is God's will for all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth ( 1 Timothy 2:4) but not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven ( Matthew 7:21).
Many will say unto me that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? ( Matthew 7:22).
And then will I profess unto themI never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity ( Matthew 7:23).
The first prerequisite to start your journey of repentance is to be able to acknowledge that you are a sinner and separated from God. This has been made almost impossible because of people's natural conditioning ( Matthew 19:23-26), as the devil (your natural spirit) has you convinced through man-made teachings and religious doctrines, that you are a child of God ( Matthew 15:7-9).
