In verse 24 the bible says "So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

To keep the way of the tree of life, does that mean to keep the way open or to keep the way closed? Two trees were in the midst of the garden and only one of them was forbidden. Does that mean they could have eaten from the tree of life at any time?

Please pray for hubby that has cancer he seems to be handing treatments well by the grace of God . It says all should be treated the same with no favoritism. A certain political group virtue signals that some of a certain skin color were enslaved by some rich people in their own political group about 150-250 years ago. But all those people are dead. No one they're referring to are alive to give any such reparations back to, except they assume that by giving it to descendants then somehow something is made right? You can't change the past and it seems wrong to steal from one group to pay others who were never enslaved. It also seems wrong to show favoritism and act like if you have a certain skin shade that you deserve more sympathy or more money or pandering. What we see on TV is a circus. The Japanese and Germans enslaved and killed people only 81 years ago, but people somehow aren't demanding money for that, but for something twice as long ago. Meanwhile, there are child slaves coming across the southern border trafficked from cartels and other criminals but people aren't as upset about that either. There are also people enslaved right now in China, countries in Africa and other places that don't have people as upset about either. They are alive, and are imprisoned. There are even people in the US itself imprisoned as slaves who had no trial and just happened to be at the politically wrong place at the wrong time, and they are still alive too. What I see is amazing hypocrisy about money and privilege and victimhood as a form of self-worship as if somehow one who was never a slave was harmed, rather than actually helping current slaves alive now. I do believe your interpretation is accurate. There is a whole smorgasbord of teachings out there, and God allows people to choose what they want to chase after.

Paul did say there must be heresies. The word must is the word necessary and the Greek word means binding. It must happen!



The word heresy comes from the root word that means choice. That's what a heresy is. When I choose to believe that the bible is teaching something that's not in the bible, that's a heresy. I'm choosing to believe it.



Most of the church today is made up of heresies and that's what divides one church from another church. We can go over the same scriptures, and one side says "We believe that it says this," and another side will say "Well, we believe it means this!"

It's interesting that Paul didn't say "There shouldn't be any heresies." Did you know that God ordains division? And there are two divisions in life that are ordained of God.

Preaching is for the unsaved. It causes a division. Teaching is for the saved. And it also causes division.

But Paul says that there must be heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. And the word approved means to approve something after testing. It's not I approve of you because I agree, but I put you to the test.



Guess what the test is? The word of God!

According to His will! It's pretty much common sense that if you make a request of anyone, according to their desire (or will), then they will hear you. A lot of things that have to do with following the Lord is simple common sense. We are the ones that make walking with the Lord harder than it should be. In 1997 the Lord got a much better hold of my heart. One of the first things he taught me was to simplify. Keep it simple folks, it works!

Thank you again Chris for your answer. it seems to me that the Spirit of truth is connected to the Comforter the Holy Spirit, they are mentioned together in several verses, and in Ps. 12:6-7 we are told that the words of the LORD are pure words, (pure means unadulterated, uncontaminated, sound) and that they are preserved for ever. it seems like that has to be the King James Bible, and in 2 Pet.1:20-21 we are told the prophecy of the scripture is not of any private interpretation (private means ones own) and that the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (the word spake here can mean to lay forth, relate in words) I believe these holy men of God who were moved by the Holy Ghost were the translators of the KJB. thats how God preserved His Word for people in this last generation. they were moved by the Holy Ghost translating every word, the Spirit of truth and the Holy Ghost are connected. Jer. Ch.23 is written to false prophets, and pastors, in verse 36 it says "for ye have perverted the words of the living God", the word perverted means (to change) so this verse is saying they changed the words of the living God. Modern versions are private interpretations (ones own) the Holy Spirit is not connected to them. Jn.16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. The things to come is prophecy for the Lastdays. It's the KJB.. what are your thoughts?

Hi Jimbob...If i understand you correctly ..are you saying that maybe the written words of the bible

are the real spirits of truth words of life .etc...Jimbob if the bible the written word cd have atoned for the sins of the world then Jesus shed his blood in vain and the cross was just foolishness.

True..we are not enemies but she hates me with passion.... for my side there's nothing am fighting with the neighbor ..but she cant resist me its not about the building actually there's more cause in 2013 she told one of my neighbors that i have taken the other neighbors space by building a boundary wall ..but that neighbor didn't entertain her as she was happy that at least she will save from buying material to build cause she is now safe because of that wall i built.

At the same time she laughs with me not knowing she's busy talking bad about me to other neighbors in a way that my kids were playing with hers .I didn't see it coming the problem she literally hates me with passion.

No one should ever claim to have all the answers - we must be humble before the Lord & His Word, waiting patiently for His Teaching, with Him opening our hearts to receive as much as we need to hear & learn. When the teacher & student know that they are in the same position (one of learning), albeit at different levels, the whole acquiring of knowledge (& wisdom to apply it correctly), should become a time of mutual fellowship around God's Word, sharing together what they learn. It would seem that there is a large silent majority and a small but very loud minority . All sin minus denying Christ as your Saviour is a "sin not unto death" The sin unto death God speaks of in the Bible is denying Christ Jesus as your Saviour...ALL other sins are sins not unto death because God can forgive them!
