The brief answer is that faith is needed for it is impossible to please God without faith ( Heb. 11:6). Obedience is; however better than sacrifice when it is done in the wrong method ( 1 Sam. 15:22). If you obey God you will keep His commandments ( John 14:15). Trust is also a key here; as Jesus hardly had to have faith that His Father; God existed but yet in His earthly existance He had to "learn obedience" ( Heb. 5:8-9). He had to do this to be our High Priest who suffered as we did but without sin ( Heb. 4:15). Therefore we have to make sure we have true faith and not something based on our emotions or a false gospel.

In my opinion faith is better than obedience , the reason being is that : none of us is ever perfectly obedient , we all sin . If we have faith , in God and in his love and mercy towards us , then we can be forgiven for our disobedience / sin . If we don't have faith in God and in Jesus then we can't really call ourselves Christians can we ? Hopefully , our faith will lead us into obedience .

I am not even sure if this is depression or finances. I moved into a new home with the intention of being with my disabled son. There were many hidden issues that are structural and unsafe. They're making me go through a court battle to get this fixed. I'm running out of money and I don't have a job because I have hurt my back in the process of all this. I need a good job, with insurance, and I need a miracle on this house. My son needs me. I have faith that God will direct me.

Texsis, I do respect and understand your point of view. What matters for me personally is that through the lost gospels and the apocryphal books, after a search of four decades, I came to realize the truth of Jesus Christ and I started to recognize the workings of the Sacred Spirit and I returned to the Bible. Using the numbers complementary, not as the primary focus. Perhaps like the background chords supporting the melody of the text. It's a personal thing but you are very right, stop wasting time on earthly things, I also take that very seriously.

    Hi Maureen,

I'm not aware of any Bible verses saying the KJV is the only Word of God. There's verses saying God's Word is truth like John 17:17 but not specific to one translation.

I believe the Bible is God's inspired Word. I believe He speaks truth through the holy spirit and through us reading and seeking Him. People are imperfect; God is perfect.

I don't believe KJV is the only true Bible. The reason I believe this is that it wasn't written in English originally. Am I to believe the original languages of Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic are somehow less accurate than an English translation? A translation by definition can't be more accurate or more truthful than that which it was translated from.

Because humans are flawed imperfect beings we can make mistakes. I'm not saying the KJV has mistakes, but some translations have had printer mistakes and accidents that are documented and undeniable. That doesn't automatically mean it changes the meaning or that God can't speak His truth through it, just like KJVs having variations of what is on the cover, or study notes in the margin, or maps, or those presented online don't necessarily change the meaning of the text. But even if there were human errors present does that mean God can't still use that to speak truth to us through our seeking Him, no, I do not believe anything will hinder someone genuinely seeking God through His word. So, I don't think our imperfection invalidates God's truth in His Word.

I also don't believe in a black and white assumption that if a printer or publisher makes a mistake that the Bible is somehow 100% false and a total lie from satan. That seems extreme to me.

Likewise, call me radical, but I also think God can speak truth false teachers we see on TV, for example. They probably started off legit but were deceived and tempted and drifted off course. That doesn't mean 100% what they say is false and that God can't use our weakness to reach souls. God does miracles.

Dear Kobe, You have asked some questions that are perplexing.

In this post I will address the first one.

Why are we told not to be jealous when the Bible says that God is jealous?

We must understand that our emotions are not pure and holy like God's are. Jealousy for us is a negative and usually sinful emotion for us because we are jealous out of selfish love.

On the other hand, God is Jealous for His people and does not want them to follow after other gods because us doing so is destructive to us being so sinful as to sever the relationship between us and God. God wants us to follow, serve and worship Him alone because it benefits us tremendously to do so. so, for our sake, God is jealous because He does not want us to be separated from Him by us being unfaithful and idolatrous.

Why does God not want us to be jealous but in the bible, it says he is a jealous God?

And if we are servants of God, why did he come to Earth as a servant and in the likeness of a man, didn't he want us to believe that he was God if he did so much why didn't he make it so much easier a have scientifical proof or just turn into an light so bright that only the son of God could turn into?

And if God is so good why does he let bad things happen to good people all the time, and if he is all powerful and don't want anyone to go to hell why did he create the devil because he knew that he would turn on him in heaven so isn't that God's fault?

And if he gave us free will how does he know what we are always going to do technically he didn't give us free will since he knows technically he wrote out our lives for us is this true or not sorry for asking weird questions I just need to know?

    Good Morning,

for me, I would choose the Gospel of John because, for the people of his day, Jesus was clearly a man to look at outwardly. But John brought out the aspects of Jesus that show that He is God in the flesh. There is only one Person in Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, the Son of God, though the second Person of the Trinity, and therefore divine, the Only-Begotten Son of the Father, was given for us to redeem us and bring us to salvation. Though only one Person, Jesus had two natures, both a divine and a human nature. But the were united in Him, though not mixed together to form a third type of nature.

The truths about who Jesus is are so important for believers. Knowing these things about him help us to understand the supreme value of His work of redemption and how privileged we are to be called to communion in Him with the Father and the Son through His perfect life, suffering, death, and resurrection. He is forever our high priest (in His human nature) and forever the King and Lord of the Universe (in His divinity).

Please pray that my husband, Jason, will accept Christ as his Savior. Pray that God will convict him of his sins and Jason will open his heart to Christ and seek God's word. Pray that godly men will find favor in Jason and speak God's word and encouragement to him. Pray that the blinders will be removed from Jason's eyes, for he is very deceived! Pray that God's word will show up on his Tiktok and the false prophets will disappear! Pray that God will restore our marriage, as we are currently separated. Please help me in prayer for God's Kingdom and His glory! Thank you!

Henkdenkt, I'm a number person too. My friend is a color chart person & my neighbor loves shapes. We all have our quirks yet we must keep in mind, to keep satan at bay, that "if it's not of God, not to take it to heart. He is the inspiration of the Bible & Knows ALL & has His reasons for not putting it in. Which one can learn if looked up. apocryphal, by definition: Of questionable authorship or authenticity. Erroneous=(containing error; mistaken; incorrect; wrong:); fictitious.

So, basically by definition alone, it was left out for not being Gods truth. Therefore, Apocrypha could not have been put in the Bible for Gods word is complete & Only Historical, Factual truths. Nothing to add or take away. I wouldn't ever add the word error to Jesus, that's an oxymoron. My name on here adds up to 38 real name adds to adds up to 70 or 102 yet these numbers only mean something on earth for we will be given a new name in Heaven. I stopped wasting my time on to many earthly things & choose to concentrate more on Gods word to be sure I get there.! Not that numbers have no purpose & if you know the Bible, they most definitely do yet, not to be twisted for evil, NO. God knows our heart so I pray that's not the case here. God be with you & yours my friend..!
