So , assuming that we all agree that in the New Testament , when it mentions Elias it's referring to Elijah and likening him to John the Baptist ? If this is correct , can anyone tell me what is meant in Mark chapter 9 verse 13 . It seems to imply that it's written somewhere in the Old Testament , the fate of John the Baptist ( beheaded by Herod ) , or do we just think that it means that as Elijah passed his ministry on to Elisha , then like wise did John the Baptist pass his ministry on to Jesus ? All answers appreciated thanks .

I've read a lot of the old comments on here and I too wonder what has happened to him and a few others also . Mishael seemed to love this site , I find it hard to believe that he just stopped posting . May God bless him and any and everyone who has ever been on here and been a help to any of us .

My pastor preached that not all Christians will be allowed to enter New Jerusalem. That in Matthew 25 when talking about those "with oil," it's talking about those who are saved and served the Lord (doers of his word). And those "without" oil are are saved but did nothing for the Lord (slothful servants). The slothful servant still get to go to heaven but never allowed to enter New Jerusalem, because they did nothing for God.

I would be grateful for your prays. I am undergoing investigations at hospital 'if' I have cancer. As a lump had come up on my neck. I have been told by christian friend to stay positive. I do pray but still feel such fear, also anger why it should be.

Sammi, I am so glad you received what you prayed for. I prayed for over 30 years for my brother to finally get treatment for his bi-polar disorder that had led him into criminal behaviors that included violence. God brought into his life a woman who incentivized him to get treatment and he has been on proper meds for 10 years now, is married to this woman, and doing well. He can participate in family affairs without being abusive and we finally get to know him more truly as his person is now revealed from being undermined by the disorder.

So, God , at times, will have us persevere in prayer for many years before the answer comes, but He does not stop working on the answers to our prayers.

Thanks to God in Heaven and thanks only to Him . After twenty years my prayer has been answered . I wish I could say that I waited patiently for God to answer but that would be a lie . I was not patient . While I waited for His answer I was ridiculed , thought to be a liar , no one believed me , people thought badly of me . Now I have my answer and it's not as sweet as the realisation that has come with it . Through out those twenty years , God and God alone has taken care of me in a million different ways . He kept me sane , alive , warm dry fed and cheerful . He has taught me patience ,and to trust Him always . I still have a lot to learn but I thank God for His lessons . I realise that to be His is to trust Him , at all times but especially in the dark times , He was right there with me . I was just to wrapped up in myself to recognise Him . So , I have my answer which is lovely but , not as lovely as knowing that He sorted everything out for me while I was waiting . Brothers and sisters , know for sure , that He is with you every second , His love will sustain you through everything and all things can be and should be endured because He is with you , and maybe , just maybe He is trying to teach you something ? Trust , faith , patience and love . Life is a constant lesson , allow Him to teach you and don't fear the lesson , He will teach you in the loving way every good parent teaches their child . Be His child , allow Him to be your parent .
